Driver Control Features
Basic Safety Precautions
Whenever operating the vehicle, make sure that you and your occupants are
properly wearing your seat belts. Small children should always ride in the rear
seat in the appropriate child restraint system (see the Owner’s Manual for child
safety details).
Never place children under 13 years old in the front seats to avoid injury that
may result from air bag deployment.
Always refer to the Owner’s Manual for complete safety precaution information.
NOTE: If the driver’s seat belt is not fastened when the ignition key is turned to
the ON or START position, the seat belt reminder light will blink and the
warning chime will sound for approximately six seconds to remind the
driver to fasten the driver’s seat belt.

1. Set the temperature Ato the desired setting.
2. Set the fan speed Bto the highest setting.
3. Set the air flow Cto the defrost position .
TO REMOVE FROST OR FOG ON THE REAR WINDOW
Press the Frear window defroster button .
TO QUICKLY COOL THE VEHICLE
1. Set the air flow control knob Cto MAX A/C position. This automatically
enables recirculation and front fan modes.
2. Adjust the temperature control knob Aand fan speed knob Bto desired level.
NOTE: If the Climate Control Air filter for the evaporator blower is not replaced per the
scheduled maintenance section, excessive window fogging may result. Your
local authorized Hyundai dealer can replace this filter for you.
SETTING PRESET MEMORY BUT-
TONS (AM/FM OR XM®)
1. Turn radio on by pressing the
POWER button A.
2. Select AM/FM C, or XM®radio B.
3. Turn the Audio Control knob Fto
the desired channel (for XM®press
the knob to select the desired
channel).
4. Press and hold any preset button H
(1~6) until an audible beep is heard
to memorize the current channel.
NOTE: FM has 2 bands for up to 12
presets. XM®has 3 bands for
up to 18 presets.
CATEGORY SEARCH (XM®)
1. While in XM®mode, press the
FLDR or CAT button Gto
scroll through music categories.
2. Press the Audio Control knob Fto
select the desired category.

Occupant Classification System
PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF
INDICATOR
The occupant classification system
will disable the right front passenger’s
air bag under certain conditions (light on).
The light will not illuminate when the
passenger’s air bag is enabled. Refer
to the Owner’s Manual for a complete
description of this system.
Heated Seats (if equipped) Trunk Release
Push the LH or RH switch to warm
the seat.
Push to open trunk.
Fuel Filler Door Release
NOTE: After adding fuel, always reinstall the fuel cap fully and make sure it
clicks at least three times. Failure to do this may result in the Check
Engine light illuminating.

Normal forward driving is done with the shift lever in the D (Drive) position.
To move the shift lever from the P (Park) position, the brake pedal must be
depressed.
ENGAGING REVERSE
When shifting into R (Reverse) gear, lift the collar tab up and then shift into
the R (Reverse) gear position.
P - Park

Cruise Control
TO SET A CRUISING SPEED:
ON A– Press the switch and the CRUISE indicator in the instrument
cluster will illuminate. Accelerate to the desired cruising speed
(above 25 mph).
SET B– Press the switch and remove your foot from the accelerator pedal.
TO ACCELERATE OR DECELERATE SPEED:
ACCEL C– Press the switch to accelerate your speed with cruising speed set.
COAST B– Press the switch to slow speed down with cruising speed set.
TO CANCEL THE CRUISING SPEED:
Press the CANCEL Dswitch, press the brake pedal, depress the clutch pedal,
or turn OFF Athe cruise control.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) (if equipped)
ESC OFF:
Press the ESC OFF button, ESC OFF
will light up on the instrument panel.
Press again for ESC ON.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
LOW TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR:
Illuminates if one or more of your tires
is significantly under-inflated.
Safely park the vehicle and check your
tires as soon as possible, and inflate
them to the proper pressure.
NOTE: Tire pressure may vary in colder
temperatures causing the low
tire pressure indicator to illu-
minate. Inflate tires according to
the Tire Pressure Label located
on the driver’s side door pillar.
TPMS MALFUNCTION INDICATOR:
Illuminates and stays illuminated when
there is a malfunction with the TPMS
system. Have the system checked by
an authorized Hyundai dealer as soon
as possible.
NOTE: The TPMS is not a substitute
for proper tire maintenance.
