will be shown in " VOLUME xx" on the display panel. Turn left to
decrease the Volume level. After 5 seconds of volume indication, display

SOUND FUNCTION SELECTION
(AUDIO SOUND)
This button t-? is to adjust the sound. Eachtime you momentarily pressbutton €r,LCD displays each
mode asfollows
When this button is pressed,LCD display shows selectedfunction for 5 secondsand then returns back to the previous mode.
On selected
function, level canbe controlled by turning this button. The dispiay will automatically return to normal indication
in 5 secondsafter the last adiustment is made or when another function is activated.

CONTROL
To adjust the Basslevel, first selectthe Bassmode by pressing the Sound
button : until "BASS" indication appears on the display panel. Within 5
secondsof choosing the Bassmode, turn right/left to adjust the bass level
as desired. The bass level will be shown on the display panel from a
$rinimum of "BASS -10" to a maximum of "BASS +10". The displav will
automaticallv return to the normal indication in 5 secondsaftei the last
adiustment or when another function is activated.

(3)TREBLE
coNTRoL
To adjust the Treble level, first seleci the Treble mode by pressing the Selectbutton (2 until "TREBLE" appears on the
display panel. Within 5 secondsof choosing the Treble mode, turn right/left adjust the treble responseasdesired.
The treble levei will be shown on the display panel from a minimum of "TREBLE 10" to a maximum of "TREBLE 10".
The display will automatically return to the normal indication in 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another
function is activated.

BALANCE CONTROL
To adjust the left-dght speaker balance, first select the Balance mode by pressing the Sound button (D until the "BAL"
indication appearsoir the display panel. Within 5 seconds
of choosing the Balancemode, turn right/left to adjust the balance
asdesired.
The balanceposition will be shown by the bars on the display panel from "BAL 10l"(full left) to "BAL 10R"(fu11dght).
When the volume level between the left and right speakers is equa1,"BAL L=R" will be shown on the display pane1.
The display will automatically return to the normal indication in 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another
function is activated.

CONTROL
To adjust the front-rear speaker balance, first select the Fader mode by
pressing the Sound button (D until the "FADER" indication appears on the
display panel.
Within 5 seconds of choosing the Fader mode, turn right/left to adjust the
front- rear speaker level as desired.
The fader position will be shown by the bars on the display panel from
"FADER 10F" (full front) to "FADER 10R"(full rear). When the volume
level between the front and rear speaker is equal, "FADER F= R" will be
shown on the display panel. The display will automatically return to the
normal indication in 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another
function is activated.

BEEP
CONTROL
To adjust the Beep mode, first select the Beep mode by pressing the Sound button O until "BEEP" indication appears on the
display panel. The Beep mode will be shown on the display panel from "BEEP 2ND", "BEEP OFF" and "BEEP ON". The
display will automatically return to the normal indication in 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another function is
activated. Select "BEEP ON" when you wish to hear the "BEEP" sound whenever any function button is pressed.
Select "BEEP 2ND" when you wish to hear the "BEEP" sound whenever any Tuner Pre-set button and/or Tune Seekbuttons
are pressed for more than 3 seconds.

Press MODE button O to select CD Player or Radio.

momentarily to mute volume and "MUTE" mark will blink on the LCD panel.
Pressthe button again to return to the mode in use before the Mute mode was activated.
6)LOUDNESS
CONTROL(LOUD)
When listening to music at low volume levels, this feature will boost the bass and treble response.
This action will compensate for the reduction in bass and treble performance experienced at low volume.
PressLoud button 6 to activate this feature. This "LOUD" mark wili be indicated on the display pane1.Pressing the
button again will de-activate the function and "LOUD" mark will disappear from the display panel.

6)ANTI-THEFT-DETERRENT
PIN LED
This LED lamp blinks every 1 second when the unit is turned off.
(:)ANTI-THEFT SECURITYPIN CODE INPUT
To activate the security pin code, please follow these steps.
1.Turn on your stereo.
2. If the stereo screen indicates "1 CDE", this is a message that you need
enteryour anti-theftsecurity
pin code.

3.Your security pin code number can be found on the card supplied with your new Hyundai vehicle.
4.Every Hyundai stereo has its own individual antitheft security pin code. Entering an incorrect pin code or using
incorrect procedures will not activate your stereo to an operational status.
5. Your anti-theft pin code is made up of four computer-generated numbers.
6.An example pin code may be 3212.
7. To enter pin code 3212 into your stereo, always follow these steps,
a. Press Pre-set button number one (1), three (3) times.
b. Press Pre-set button number two (2), two (2) times.
c. Press Pre-set button nurnber three (3), one (1) time.
d. Press Pre-set button number four (4), two (2) times.
e. Check that the pin code shown on your stereo screenis "3272".
f. PressPre-set button number five (5) once to activate the pin code.
YourStereo isnow readiedfor full operation.

B. Another example pin codenumber is 7963.
9. To enter pin code 7963into your stereo,always follow thesesteps,
a. PressPre-setbutton number one (1),
seven(7) times.
b. PressPre-setbutton number two (2), nine (9)times.
c. PressPre-setbutton number three (3),
six (6)times.
d. Press Pre-set button number four (4), three (3) times.
e. Check that the pin code shown on your stereo screenis "7963" .
f. Press Pre-set button number five (5) once to activate the pin code.
10.Important : If you have entered the incorrect anti-theft pin code or used an incorrect procedure at your first attempt,
your stereo screen will exhibit the following message "2 CDE" . This means you need enter the pin code a second time
taking careto fo'llow theseinstructions and enter the correctpin code.
11.if the stereo screen show the message "3 CDE", this means you failed to follow the correct instructions or that you
entered the incorrect pin code.
12.If you fail to succeed to enter the correct pin code at the third attempt, your stereo will turn off. You will need to wait at
least one hour before attempting to re-enter the correct anti{heft security pin code number using the above procedures
correctly.
Your H).undai stereo has the anti-theft securitv pin code entered into it prior to you collecting your new Hyrndai car.
The on\z time )uour stereo will identi$r the message "1 CDE" in the screenis if your stereo or car has lost battery power.
If Jrour car battery is in good order. your stereo will accept )rour anti-theft security pin code number using the above procedure.
If you experience afailure to operate your stereo after canying out the above procedure,
Pleasevisit a Hlrundai Dealer for additional assistance.
Pleasedo not leave your card containing your anti-theft security pin code number in your car.
Keep your card featuring your pin code number in a safesecure place.

Press BSM button [-0momentarily to scan the 6 pre-set station stored the memories on the AM bands or the 18 pre-set
stations stored the memories on the FM bands. The unit will stop at each pre-set station (the pre-set number on the
display panel will flash during pre-set scan operation) and re'main on ihe selected frequency. Press the button
momentarily again to remain on the station currently being heard.

STATION MEMORY (BSM)
Pressing BSM button @ for longer than 2 seconds will activate the BSM tuning feature which will automatically scan
and enter each station into memory. If you have already set the pre-set memories to your favorite stations, activating
the BSM tuning feature will erase those stations and enter the new ones. This BSM feature is most useful when
traveling in a new area where you are not familiar with the local stations.
@ LOCAL-DISTANCE CONTROL(LOC/DX)
Pressing LOC/DX button (LOC) momentariiy will select only local strong stations in station search mode.
In "non" LOC mode (DX), your radio will search for both local strong and distant weaker stations.
If you choose local seek (LOC) sensitivity, the display will show "LOC" on the LCD panel. 11

STATION PRE-SET
BUTTON
Pressing these buttons less than 2 seconds will recall your favorite pre-set
radio stations.
To store your favorite stations into any of the 6 pre-set memories in either the
AM or FM band, use the following procedure:
a. Turn the radio on and select the desired band.
b.Select the first station to be pre-set using the Manual UP/DOWN or
Automatic Seek Tuning Control @.
c.Press the chosen pre-set button to store your selected station into and
continue to hold it in. The Beep sound will be momentarily heard and the
pre-set number will appear on the display panel indicating that the station is
now set into pre-set memory position and can be recalled at any time, by
pressing that pre-set button.

[DTRACK SCAN (SCN)
During disc play, press SCN button @ to play the first 10 seconds of each track on
the whole file on the disc ("SCN" mark will appear on the display panel). When a
desired track is reached, press the SCN button again to cancel the function. The umt
will then play the selectedtrack. Track Scan mode will also be cancelled by
activating the Track up/donm @ or Repeat @.
Note : In case of playing MP3 disc, when the SCN button is pressed and held
for longer than 2 seconds, the "SCN " mark will blink on the LCD panel
and all files in the selected directory will be introduced until the track
scan mode is cancelled by pressing the SCN button again or by
activating the Random or Repeat functions.
(4 REPEATPLAYSELECTOR
(RPT)
During

repeatedly ("RPT" will appear on the display panel). Play of the track will
continue to repeat until the button is pressed again and the "RPT " disappears
from the display panel. Repeat Play mode will also be cancelled by activating

Note :In case of playing MP3 disc, when the RPT button is pressed and held longer than 2 seconds, the "RPT "mark will
blink on the LCD panel and play all files in the selected Directory and will be repeated until the Directory Repeat
mode is cancelled by pressing the Repeat button again or by activating the Scan or Random functions ("RPT " mark
will disappear from LCD panel).

RANDOM PLAYSELECTOR
(RDM)
During disc play, press RDM button e to play the tracks on the disc in a random shuffled order ("RDM" will appear on
the display panel). The Track select function (!Dwill also select track in the Random order instead of the normal process.
The Random PIay mode can be cancelled by activating Scan (0 functions or Repeat Play @.
Note : In case of MP3 playing, when the Random button is pressed and held longer than 2 seconds, the "RDM" mark
will blink on the LCD panel and play all files in Directory randomly until the Directory Random mode is
cancelled by pressing the Random button again or by activating the Scan or Repeat functions. ('RDM' mark will
disappearfrom LCD panel;. t7

The disc play begins. The Disc play track number will appear on the LCD.
Note :This unit is designed for play of standard 5" (12cm)compact
disc ONLY. Do-not atteinpi to use 3" (Scm) CD-sinele discs in this
unit, either with or with6ut an adaptbr, a's damag"eto the player
and/or disc can occur. Such damage will not be covered by the
warranty on this product.

nThis set has a feature that will automatically lower (mute) the volume of the radio when the vehicle's cellular telephone is
used ("an interface may be necessary depending on the particular telephone") "TEL MUTE" will appear on the radio
display panel during telephone use.
For installation of your mobile telephone kit to operate this Mute feature, you should refer this installation application to
your Hyundai Dealer to ensure you do not void waffanty applications relating to the vehicle or your stereo.

1)Dirt dusf scratches, and disc warpage can cause skipping in the play back and deterioration of sound quaiity.
Pleaseobserve these guidelines to take care of your compact discs :
. Fingerprints, dust and dirt should be carefully wiped off the disc's playing surface (shiny side) with a soft cloth. Wipe
in a straight motion from the inside to the outside of the disc.
.Never use chemicals such as record sprays, household cleaners or thinner to clean compact discs. Such chemicals can
irreparably damage the disc's surface.
. Discs should be kept in their storage caseswhen not in use.
. Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high temperatures or high humidity for extended periods.
. Do not stick paper, tape, or labels on the disc surfaces nor write on them with any type of marker.
2) Discs with non-standard shapes (e.g.:hear! square, star) cannot be played on this unit. Attempting to do so may damage
the unit. Do not use such discs.
3) Before playing, clean the discs with a commercially available cleaning cloth. Wipe each disc from the center out.
Do not use solvents such asbenzine, thinner, commercially available cleaners, or antistatic spray intended for analog discs.
4) Some UDF CD-Rs/CD-RWs may have longer reading time.
5) Some CD-Rs/CD-RWs (depending on the equipment used for its recording or the condition of the disc) may not play on
this unit.
6) MP3 CD-Rs / CD-RWs (depending on the recording method of the disc) may have some difference on sound level.
