for general information regarding radio reception and care and use of the vehicle
mounted antenna, and care and use of media (CDs, USB etc.).
The operation of the steering wheel remote controls and other radio functions
shown in the main vehicle user manual are not relevant to the radio model
depicted in this user manual.

Anti-Theft Security Code
1. Anti-Theft Security Code
The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio is equipped with an anti-theft security code to deter theft. By
preventing operation unless a security pin code is entered, the radio is rendered useless.
Each radio requires a unique security code. The security code is printed on a card and
supplied with this user manual when the vehicle is delivered from the dealer to the first owner.
1.1 Entering the Security Code
1) Turn on the radio.
2) If the radio displays 1 CODE, then a security code must be entered.
3) The security code number is found on the card supplied with your new HYUNDAI vehicle.
4) The security code is a four digit number. For the example below, the code is 3212.
a) Press Preset 1 button three times.
b) Press Preset 2 button twice.
c) Press Preset 3 button once.
d) Press Preset 4 button twice.
5) Check that the security code shown on the display matches the number on the card (for
this example) 3212.
6) Press Preset 5 button to activate the entered security code shown on the display.
7) If the code is correct, the radio will begin normal operation.
8) If the code on the display is not the same as printed on the card, change the relevant
digit by pressing the preset button until the correct number is displayed.
9) If an incorrect code is entered the radio will display 2 CODE.
10) Enter the code again. If the display shows 3 CODE, it is most likely that the correct
security code entry instructions were not followed or the security code entered was
incorrect.
11) If after 3 incorrect codes are entered, the radio will switch off. Wait for one hour before
attempting to re-enter the correct security code using the above correct procedure.
Notes When Entering the Security Code:
a) The security code is usually entered into the radio prior to collection of the new vehicle.
b) If the car battery is disconnected or exhausted, the security code must be re-entered.
c) Ensure the car battery is in good order before entering the security code.
d) If the radio fails to operate after carrying out the above procedure, visit a HYUNDAI
dealer for assistance or to verify the security code is correct.
e) Please do not leave the security card containing the security code in the vehicle.
Keep the card in a safe and secure place.

2. Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Your HYUNDAI car radio supports Bluetooth wireless technology. Bluetooth technology
provides a wireless link between a Bluetooth mobile phone or Bluetooth music player and the
HYUNDAI Bluetooth car radio.
The HYUNDAI Bluetooth car radio features a hands-free system so that you may talk on the
telephone without taking your eyes off the road or your hands off the wheel. A microphone
built into the front of the radio receives your voice and the calling party can be heard through
the car speakers.
Additionally, a Bluetooth music player can be wirelessly connected to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth
radio and playback music tracks in high quality sound through the car speakers. Some
Bluetooth mobile phones include a music player and can provide both hands-free calling and
music playback.
Please check the user manual of your Bluetooth mobile phone or music for details of the
Bluetooth features supported and how they are operated when connected to a Bluetooth audio
accessory such as this HYUNDAI Bluetooth car radio.
Notes When Using the Bluetooth Feature:
a. When the vehicle ignition switch is in the ACC position, the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio is
on ‘Stand-by’, ready to connect with your mobile phone even if the car radio is switched off.
The car battery may therefore become drained if the ignition switch remains in the ACC
position for an extended period of time.
b. Bluetooth technology uses low power radio transmission to connect to your Bluetooth
mobile phone or Bluetooth music player. As radio signal strength reduces over distance,
the quality of sound performance during phone calls and music playback may become
poor if the distance between the radio and device widens. It is recommended that the
mobile phone or music player is kept inside the car cabin, and where possible, close to the
car radio for best performance.
c. As a Bluetooth wireless connection can extend to 10 meters, your Bluetooth device may
automatically connect to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio even if the device is not in the car.
Please consider this, especially when pairing or connecting Bluetooth devices to the car
radio when other Bluetooth devices may be within wireless radio range of the car radio.
d. The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio uses the latest Digital Noise & Echo suppression system to
provide the best sound clarity with little or no distortion, but in some conditions there may
be some echo and noise experienced. It is recommended to keep the car windows
closed during hands-free calls for best results.
e. The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio uses the following Bluetooth profiles:
►GAVDP (Generic Audio/Video Distribution Profile)
►OPP (Object Push Profile)
►HFP (Hands Free Profile)
►HSP (Head Set Profile)
►A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)
►AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile)

2.1 Bluetooth Indicators Shown on the Radio Display
►Bluetooth Indicator
The Bluetooth logo above is displayed steady on the radio screen when a Bluetooth
device is connected. If the indicator is not displayed, then no Bluetooth device is
connected or the connection is not of satisfactory quality.
The indicator may occasionally flash, indicating the radio is searching for a previously
paired mobile phone or music player.
►Battery Strength Indicator
This indicator shows the condition of the battery charge level of your connected mobile
phone. The battery indicator on the radio display incorporates a series of vertical
black sections providing a guide to the battery charge level.
This indicator may not be 100% accurate nor show the identical level of the battery
compared to the indicator on the mobile phone or music player.
If your device does not transmit battery condition level via Bluetooth or is not fully
compatible with the car radio Bluetooth specification, the indicator is not displayed.
►Signal Level Indicator
This indicator shows the signal strength of the mobile phone network received by your
mobile phone within your current location.
This indicator will not be displayed if only a Bluetooth music player (without a mobile
phone) is connected to the car radio.
The signal level indicator operates in a similar way to the battery strength indicator
above and it’s operation limitations may therefore also be similar.

2.2. Bluetooth Connection
2.2.1 Pairing a Bluetooth Mobile Phone or Music Player
A Bluetooth connection must first be established between your Bluetooth mobile phone or
Bluetooth music player and the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio. The first step to connecting
the Bluetooth radio and Bluetooth device is to introduce or ‘Pair’ the HYUNDAI Bluetooth
radio and Bluetooth device together. It is recommended that you have the instruction
manual for your Bluetooth mobile phone or music player with you during the pairing
process described below to assist your understanding of how to set your device to pair
with the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
Note: It is recommended that all other Bluetooth devices other than the device to be
paired are switched off during the following steps 1) to 7).
Pairing instructions:
1) Press button 2) to select Bluetooth Menu.
2) Turn knob Cto display DEVICE MNGR. then press knob Cto display REG PHONE
and then press knob Cagain.
3) The radio will now allow itself to be discovered by other compatible Bluetooth
devices and the display will alternately show PAIRING ON and CODE IS 0000.
4) Now, set your Bluetooth device to search for and pair with the HYUNDAI Bluetooth
radio. A guide for setting your Bluetooth device to search and pair with the radio is
provided in section 2.2.2. ‘Setting your Bluetooth device to pairing mode’ on the next
page of this booklet.
5) If you wish to end the radio PAIRING mode, press button 2!.
6) If the pairing process is successful, the Bluetooth logo appears on the radio display,
HANDSFREE and the name of the device (e.g. Samsung or Nokia or iPhone) and
then HANDSFREE CONNECTED appear on the display. If the device supports
Bluetooth audio, BT AUDIO and the device name, then BT AUDIO CONNECTED
appears on the display.
7) Your Bluetooth device is now ready for use with the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
Notes When Pairing Bluetooth Devices:
a. The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio allows a maximum of 6 Bluetooth devices to be paired.
Once paired, the device is retained in memory and pairing is not required again unless
the device is deleted from the car radio.
b. Only one Bluetooth mobile phone may be connected to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio
at one time for hands free telephone operation.
c. If a Bluetooth music player is to be connected together with a mobile phone, refer to
the notes in section 3.1. ‘Playing Music Using Bluetooth Audio’.
d. Bluetooth connection between the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and mobile phone is
normally established using the Hands Free Profile (HFP). However, some mobile
phones may only allow the connection to establish in Head Set Profile (HSP) and
therefore some functions may not be available.

2.2.2. Setting Your Bluetooth Device to Pairing Mode
1) Select the SETTINGS or CONNECTIVITY menu of your Bluetooth phone or music
player and find the menu dealing with Bluetooth connection.
2) Select the function on the device to begin searching for Bluetooth devices.
3) After the search is complete, HYUNDAI should appear on the screen of the device.
4) Select CONNECT or SELECT device HYUNDAI.
5) The mobile phone or music player should now prompt you top enter a PIN code.
Enter 0000 into your Bluetooth device.
6) The mobile phone or music player should confirm that it has established a new paired
connection with the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
7) The pairing process is now complete.
8) If pairing is not successful, FAIL appears on the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio display.
Note:
a. As each mobile phone or music player brand and model has a different menu
structure and process for adding a Bluetooth audio accessory such as the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio, you should refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth device for the
accurate and correct procedure.
b. A device must first be paired to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio before it can be
connected, i.e. if a device has been paired, it must then be connected before the
hands free and/or audio playback features can be used.
c. Once the Bluetooth pairing is complete, the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio will attempt to
connect to your device. Some devices will require further operation to then connect
to the car radio. It is recommended that the device is set to ‘Automatically Connect’
to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio so that whenever the car ignition switch is switched
on, the device will automatically connect to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
d. The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio will give connection priority to the last connected
mobile phone.
e. It is recommended that all other Bluetooth devices other than that device to be paired
are switched off during the pairing process.
f. The 0000 passcode may not be required to be required on Bluetooth devices during
the pairing process.
g. The 0000 passcode is fixed in the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and cannot be changed
by the user.
2.2.3. Disconnecting a Bluetooth Device
If disconnection of the Bluetooth mobile phone or music player with the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio is required, follow the steps below.
1) Press button 2), to select Bluetooth Menu mode.
2) Turn knob Cto select DEVICE MNGR. Press knob Cto select REG PHONE.
3) Press knob Cagain to disconnect the currently connected mobile phone or music
player from the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
4) When the Bluetooth connection is lost, the Bluetooth logo disappears from the display
and the previously connected device name (e.g. Samsung or Nokia) and LOST
appear on the display.
5) If BEEP ON is selected (see page 18), three beep sounds are heard when the current
Bluetooth device connection is lost or disconnected.

2.2.4. Selecting a Bluetooth Device
The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio can pair up to 6 Bluetooth devices. A previously paired
mobile phone or music player can be selected for connection using the method described
below.
Refer to the table below for examples.

1) Press button 2) to select BLUETOOTH mode.
2) Turn knob Cto select Device Manager.
3) Press knob C. Register Phone will appear on the display.
4) Turn knob Cuntil SEL PHONE is displayed.
5) When SEL PHONE appears on the display, press knob C;SEARCHING appears on
the display momentarily and after SEL PRESET appears on the display.
6) Press preset buttons 1) ~ 1% to display the name of the paired Bluetooth device
memorized in the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio. You may also turn knob Cto display the
paired devices. Each time knob C is turned, the displays shows the following (using
the example table 1.1):

7) Once the name of the Bluetooth device you wish to connect is displayed, press knob C
to connect that device.
8) If the connection is successful, the Bluetooth logo appears on the display and paired
phone name and CONNECTED appear on the display.
Notes When Selecting a Paired Device:
a. The name of the Bluetooth device is sent by the device and stored in the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio memory. In most Bluetooth devices, the name can be changed by
the user. Refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth device for details.
b. If the selected previously paired Bluetooth device is switched off or if the Bluetooth
feature is switched off, then the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio will display FAIL when
connection is attempted.

2.2.5. Deleting a Paired Bluetooth Device
If a previously paired Bluetooth device is no longer to be used with the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio, it may be deleted from memory. Refer to the example of paired devices
shown in table 1.1 on the previous page.
1) Press knob 2) to select BLUETOOTH mode.
2) Turn Cto select Device Manager.
3) Press knob C;REG PHONE appears on the display.
4) Turn knob C until DEL PHONE is displayed.
5) When DEL PHONE appears on the display, press knob C;SEARCHING and then
SEL PRESET appears on the display.
6) Press preset buttons 1) ~ 1% to display the names of the Bluetooth devices previously
paired. You may also turn the knob Cto display the paired devices.
7) Once the name of the Bluetooth device you wish to delete is displayed, in this
example, Samsung, press knob C to have the Samsung device deleted.
8) The display will then show DELETE NO or if knob Cis turned, DELETE OK on the
display.
9) To confirm deletion the selected device, select DELETE OK and press knob C.
10) If the Bluetooth device being deleted is connected (in this example), the display will
show Samsung LOST.
11) In the example above, the number of paired devices is now reduced to 3, leaving 3
vacant memory locations for additional devices. Table 1.2 shows the result.

2.3. Telephone Operation
2.3.1. Hands Free Calling
1) When an incoming call arrives at the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio via your connected
Bluetooth mobile phone, INCOMING appears on the display for 3 seconds and then the
calling telephone number is shown on the display.
2) Press button 2) to answer the incoming call. HANDSFREE appears on the display.
3) To end the call, press button 2!, CALL END is displayed.
4) If you wish to reject an incoming call, press button 2!.
5) To make a call, use the keypad of the connected Bluetooth mobile phone to enter the
number to be called and press the OFF HOOK (green) button on your mobile phone.
6) OUTGOING is displayed on the display of the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and the call
continues in hands free mode.
7) The call may be ended by pressing button 2! or the ON HOOK (red) button of the
connected mobile phone.
Notes When Making or Receiving a Call:
a. It is important to press the OFF HOOK (green) button on the mobile phone to make a
call if the number to be called is entered using the keypad of the mobile phone.
b. It is possible that during an incoming or outgoing call, the connection between your
phone and the other party may drop out or end for no apparent reason. In most
cases, this will be due to the mobile telephone network. Make sure the mobile phone
is as close as possible to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio to ensure best Bluetooth
connection quality.
c. To ensure the best sound quality at both calling party end and within the cabin during
a hands free call, close the windows and speak clearly toward the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio.
2.3.2. Last Number Redial
1) Select BLUETOOTH mode by pressing button 2).
2) Press button 2),OUTGOING appears on the radio display.
Notes When Redialing a Previously Called Number:
Some mobile phones may require an additional press of button 2) to start the last
number redial call.
2.3.3. Switching to Private (Handset) Mode During a Call
During an incoming or outgoing call started in hands free mode, it is possible to switch to
the private call mode using the mobile phone handset to speak to and hear the calling
party in private.
1) Press button 2) during the conversation; PRIVATE appears on the display.
2) To return to hands free mode press button 2) again during the private conversation;
HANDSFREE is shown on the display and hands free call operation continues.
Note: Switching to private mode may cause the Bluetooth connection to be lost when
using some mobile phones. The Bluetooth connection will automatically restore
after the call has been ended. 11

2.4. Bluetooth Settings
2.4.1. Setting the Automatic Call Answer Feature
If this function is selected, the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio will automatically connect an
incoming call received by the mobile phone. This feature enhances safety as the driver
does not need to take their hands from the steering wheel to accept an incoming call.
1) Press button 2); BT MENU is displayed.
2) Turn knob cuntil SETTINGS is displayed.
3) Press knob cuntil AUTO ANSWER is displayed.
4) Press and Turn knob c. The LCD then displays as follows:
OFF Æ5 SEC Æ10 SEC ÆBACK
- OFF : Auto answer function is not active.
- 5 SEC : Automatically answers all incoming calls after a 5 second delay.
- 10 SEC : Automatically answers all incoming calls after a 10 second delay.
- BACK : Return to previous menu.
5) After making your selection, press knob cto store the selection.
2.4.2. Setting Calling Voice Volume Level
The level of the calling voice volume heard through the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and car
speakers is adjusted using this setting.
1) Follow steps 1) to 3) of above setting 2.4.1. until VOICE VOL is displayed.
2) When VOICE VOL appears on the display, press knob cto display the current level of
the calling voice.
3) Turn knob cright or left to adjust the calling voice volume as desired.
4) Press knob cto store the level selection.
Note: The calling voice level may be adjusted during a call using the volume control on
the radio or using the steering wheel remote control.
2.4.3. Setting the Ringer Volume Level
The level of the ringer volume heard through the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and car
speakers is adjusted using this setting.
1) Follow steps 1) to 3) of above setting 2.4.1. until RING VOL is displayed.
2) When RING VOL appears on the display, press knob Cto display the current level of
the ringer.
3) Turn knob Cright or left to adjust the ring tone volume as desired.
4) Press knob Cto store the level selected.
Note: The ringer level may be adjusted during an incoming call where the ring tone is
heard using the volume control on the radio or using the steering wheel remote
control.
Note When Making Adjustments in Above Section 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3:
The settings and adjustments made above are stored in the memory of the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio. The settings are lost if the vehicle battery is disconnected.

3. Bluetooth Audio Player Function
3.1 Playing Music Using Bluetooth Audio
The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio supports the Bluetooth profile ‘Advanced Audio Distribution
Profile’ (A2DP).
If your mobile phone or music player supports this profile then it is possible to listen to music
tracks located on your Bluetooth device through the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and car
speakers.
Additionally, the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio supports the ‘Audio Video Remote Control Profile’
(AVRCP). If your Bluetooth mobile phone or music player supports this profile then it is
possible to advance to the next track or replay previous tracks on using the buttons on the
front of the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio or steering wheel remote controls (if fitted) on your
vehicle.
1) Press button 2), to select BT Menu mode.
2) Turn knob Cuntil BT AUDIO is displayed.
3) Press knob C,BT AUDIO is displayed.
4) Select the music player of your Bluetooth device.
5) Press ‘PLAY’ on the device to begin playback (see notes below).
6) To pause Bluetooth audio playback, press knob Cfor 2 seconds. Press the knob again
for 2 seconds to resume playback
7) Press buttons Hand I to advance to the next or previous music track; BT TR NEXT or
BT TR BACK will be displayed on the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
Using Steering Wheel Remote Control:
8) Press the MODE button until BT AUDIO is displayed.
9) Select the music player of your Bluetooth device.
10) Press ‘PLAY’ on the device to begin playback (see notes below).
11) Press UP or DOWN icon buttons on the steering wheel to advance to the next or
previous music track; BT TR NEXT or BT TR BACK will be displayed.
Notes When Playing Bluetooth Audio:
a. Check your Bluetooth device user manual for details of how to play music tracks via an
external Bluetooth audio system such as the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
b. Some Bluetooth mobile phones cannot play music at all or may play music tracks in low
quality audio through the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
c. Text Information attached to music tracks on the music player (e.g. the elapsed playing
time, song or artist name etc.) will not be displayed on the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
d. Playback may automatically begin as soon as the Bluetooth Audio mode is selected
using the radio or steering wheel buttons.
e. When a device capable of playing music by Bluetooth audio and by USB connection is
connected to the radio using the USB connector (eg. iPod ‘Touch’ or ‘iPhone’ Models), it
may be necessary to manually select the audio playback route on the device when
changing modes on the Hyundai Bluetooth radio.

3.2 Connecting a Bluetooth Music Player and Mobile Phone Simultaneously
It is possible to connect a Bluetooth mobile phone and a separate Bluetooth music player to
the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio at the same time. Phone calls may be sent and received
using the connected mobile phone and music playback is possible using a separate
Bluetooth music player.
1) Ensure both the mobile phone and music player have been paired to the HYUNDAI music
player and that they operate correctly.
2) Ensure both mobile phone and music player are both set to automatically connect to the
HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
3) Connect the music player to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio using the Device Manager and
Select Phone actions described earlier in this user manual.
4) Start playing music from the Bluetooth music player using the Bluetooth Audio function.
5) Now, connect the mobile phone to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio using the menu system

to the mobile phone.
6) The music player will continue to operate and the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio will confirm
the connection of the mobile phone on the radio display.
Note: The Bluetooth audio profile connection must be occupied by the Bluetooth music
player in order for simultaneous connection of a music player and mobile phone.

4. Phonebook Function
The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio can store 78 names and phone numbers.
Names with a maximum length of up to 16 characters and phone numbers with a maximum
length of up to 20 digits can be displayed.
Phonebook entries are arranged in 6 ‘Volumes’ containing 13 ‘Pages’. The preset buttons 1) ~
1% are used to select each volume of pages. In this way, the preset buttons may be used as
category headers for ‘Family’, ‘Friends’, ‘Clubs’, Work’ etc.
The last incoming phone number may be quickly stored in the radio memory.
The contents of a mobile phone’s phone book or contacts list can be transferred in a bulk batch
or as single entries using Bluetooth.
A name and number may be created in the radio and stored as an entry.
4.1. Transferring Entries From a Mobile Phone to the Radio Phonebook
1) Press button 1( to select Phonebook Menu mode.
2) Turn knob Cuntil DOWNLOAD is displayed.
3) Press knob C; OVERWRITE NO or OVERWRITE? appear on the display as the knob is
rotated.
4) If knob Cis pressed when OVERWRITE? is displayed, all previously stored names and
numbers will be deleted when a single entry or bulk entries are transferred. The new
entries are stored from PRESET 1, ENTRY 01. If knob Cis pressed when OVERWRITE
NO is displayed, all previously stored names and phone numbers are retained in memory
and new entries are stored in memory locations at the end of the previously stored entries.
During the transfer activity, WAITING appears on the display and remains on the display
until the new entries begin to transfer from the mobile phone.
5) Check your mobile phone instruction manual to understand how to transfer phone number
and name entries using Bluetooth. Begin transferring the phone number content from
you mobile phone to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio while WAITING is displayed. Once
entries begin to transfer from the mobile phone to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio,
TRANSFER – 01, TRANSFER - 02, up to the maximum TRANSFER - 78 appears on the
display. When the phonebook memory of the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio is full, PH
BOOK FULL appears on the display and no more entries can be stored.
Notes When Transferring Entries:
a. Some mobile phones may not be capable of transferring names and/or numbers to the
HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio.
b. Some mobile phones may not be capable of transferring a complete phonebook, only a
single name and/or number at a time.
c. During phonebook transfer, some mobile phones may disconnect from the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio.
d. Some mobile phones may not transfer entries correctly due to incompatible or proprietary
entry formats.
e. After transferring name and number entries, the first and second names of the entry may
be swapped when displayed on the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio. Some mobile phones
have settings to select the order of first and last names.
IMPORTANT! The entire phonebook contents will be deleted if the ‘OVERWRITE?’ option is
chosen in step 4). Please refer section 4.5 for details regarding phonebook entry deletion.

4.2. Storing the Last Received Phone Number
The phone number of the last received call may be stored in the phonebook of the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio.
1) Press button 1( for 2 seconds.
2) The display shows the first phonebook entry stored at Preset 1 / Entry 01. If Preset 1 /
Entry 01 is already used and a different memory location is to be used to store the last
received calling number, turn knob Cand/or press another preset button until the desired
location is shown on the display.
3) Press knob C; LAST IN CALL appears on the display and the editing cursor –is
displayed indicating that the first character of the name can be entered.
4) Turn knob Cto change the editing cursor to display the character to be used as the first
letter of the name of the phonebook entry. Press knob Cto enter that character.
5) The cursor flashes next to the entered characters indicating the next character is ready for
selection. To delete the previous character, turn knob Cuntil the back arrow <appears
on the display and then press knob C.
6) Repeat the operations in step 10) above until the name editing is complete. Turn knob C
until the editing cursor -appears at the end of the name.
7) Press knob Cfor 2 seconds. The name is now stored.
8) The display now shows NAME EDIT. When the cursor appears -on the display, press
button 1( for 2 seconds. The last received call phone number is displayed with the editing
cursor –at the end of the number.
9) Press knob Cfor 2 seconds to store the displayed number. The entry is complete.
4.3. Creating a Phonebook Entry
A phonebook entry with name and number can be created at any desired memory location.
1) Press button 1( to display PH BOOK MENU.
2) Press preset buttons 1) ~ 1% to display the existing phonebook entries.
a. If the preset button memory location is empty, an entry can be created by following the
steps shown in section 4.2, step 4).
b. If the preset button displays an existing entry, turn knob C until an empty memory
location is displayed. When the desired empty entry location is displayed, press knob
Cand follow the steps shown in section 4.2, step 4).
4.4. Browsing Phonebook Entries
The entire phonebook contents may be viewed.
1) Press button 1( to display PH BOOK MENU.
2) Turn knob Cto display VIEW ENTRIES, the press knob C.
3) The last accessed phonebook entry is displayed. Turn knob Cto display all entries in
the phonebook.
4) To call that entry, press button 2).
5) To delete or edit that entry, see section 4.5 and 4.6.

4.5. Deleting Entries
Existing phonebook entries may be deleted one-by-one. Alternatively, the complete
phonebook contents may be deleted in a single action.
1) Press button 1(, to select Phonebook Menu mode.
2) Turn knob Cuntil VIEW ENTRIES is displayed.
3) Press knob C then turn knob Cuntil the existing entry to be deleted is displayed.
4) Press knob C. The display shows DEL ENTRY?
5) Press knob C. The existing entry is deleted and the display shows COMPETE.
6) If the entire phonebook contents are to be deleted, turn knob Cuntil DOWNLOAD is
displayed.
7) Press knob C; OVERWRITE NO or OVERWRITE? appear on the display as the knob is
rotated.
8) If knob Cis pressed when OVERWRITE? is displayed, all previously stored names and
numbers will be deleted. WAITING appears on the display; disregard this message and
press button 1(, to exit the phonebook mode.
4.6. Editing Name and Number Entries
Existing phonebook entry name and/or numbers may be edited.
1) Press button 1(, to select Phonebook Menu mode.
2) Turn knob Cuntil VIEW ENTRIES is displayed.
3) Press knob C then turn knob Cuntil the existing entry to be edited is displayed.
4) Press knob C,the display shows DEL ENTRY?, turn knob Cuntil EDIT ENTRY? is
displayed.
5) Press knob C; NAME EDIT appears on the display and the editing cursor –is displayed
indicating that the first character of the name can be entered.
6) Turn knob Cto change the editing cursor to display the character to be used as the first
letter of the name of the phonebook entry. Press knob Cto enter that character.

on the display and then press knob C.
12) Repeat the operations in step 6) above until the number editing is complete. Turn knob
Cuntil the editing cursor -appears at the end of the number.
13) Press knob Cfor 2 seconds. The edited entry is now stored.
Note: If the name entry is not to be edited, press knob Cfor 2 seconds to advance to
number editing. If the number entry does not require editing, press knob Cfor 2
seconds to finalize the editing process of that entry. 17

BPower ON/OFF
Press knob Bmomentarily to turn the radio on or off.
Via Steering wheel remote control:
Pressing and holding the MODE button on the steering wheel controls will turn the radio on
or off.
BVolume UP/DOWN
Turn knob
Bright to increase the volume level. The level will be shown as “VOLUME xx”
on the display panel. Turn knob Bleft to decrease the volume level. After 3 seconds the
display will return to the previous mode.
BStart-Up Volume Setting
Start-up volume is the volume level the radio will play at when next turned on. To adjust:
1) Press and hold knob Blonger than 2 seconds.
2) INIT VOL is displayed. Press knob Bagain; the current start-up volume level is
displayed.
3) Turn knob Bleft or right to increase or decrease the volume, then press knob Bagain to
set that volume level as the start-up volume level.
cAudio Settings
The tone and individual speaker levels may be adjusted.
1) Press knob C; the display shows BASS and the current level setting.
2) Turn knob Cto adjust the level.
3) To advance to the next setting, press knob C.
4) The sequence of audio settings that may be adjusted using the above process is shown
below:
BASS →MIDDLE →TREBLE →BAL L=R →FADER F=R →BEEP 2ND →LOUD ON
Note: When an EQ is activate, BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE and LOUD are not displayed.
Note: Some vehicles do not have rear speakers installed. In this case, no sound will be
heard if the FADER setting is set to the rear. Always return the FADER setting to the
FADER F+R in this case.
cBeep Setting
The beep setting controls when the warning beep sound will be heard:
BEEP ON – Beep sound whenever any function button is pressed or when Bluetooth device
connection is lost.
BEEP 2ND – Beep sound whenever any tuner preset is stored or music track cue or review
buttons are pressed.
cLoudness Setting
When listening to music at low volume levels, this feature will boost the bass and treble
output levels.

DWarning LED
This LED lamp blinks every 1 second when the ignition is turned OFF to act as a deterrent
against theft.
1& Equalizer Setting (EQ Button)
An equalizer curve for different music types may be selected (CLASSIC, POP, ROCK, and
JAZZ).
Press button 1& repeatedly until the desired equalizer effect is displayed. The sequence of
EQ styles is displayed as follows:
CLASSIC →POP →ROCK →JAZZ →EQ OFF

The phonebook function is described in details in section 4.
2) OFF Hook
This button operates several functions:
1) A single press selects the Bluetooth menu. Refer section 2.
2) A single press accepts an incoming phone call. Refer section 2.3.1.
3) A double press redials the last dialed phone number. Refer section 2.3.2.
4) A long press activates Bluetooth pairing. Refer section 2.2.2.

6.1 VOLUME (+ / -)
Push the toggle switch toward + and - to increase or decrease the volume level.
6.2 SEEK ( ∧/ ∨)
Tuner Mode
Push the toggle switch toward ∧or ∨for less than 1 second to change the radio station to
the next preset memory, up or down respectively.
Push and hold the toggle switch toward ∧or ∨for longer than 1 second to seek to the next
available radio station, up or down respectively.
CD / USB / BT Audio Mode
Push the seek buttons for less than 1 second to change to the next track.
Push and hold the seek button to CUE or REVIEW the current playing track.
Note:
a) The seek buttons may not operate when using some Bluetooth music players.
b) CUE and REVIEW is not available when using BT Audio mode.
c) The audio will be muted when using CUE and REVIEW with MP3 or WMA tracks sourced
from a CD or USB (except iPod).
6.3 MODE (shows a symbol of a circle with cycle arrows)
Press the MODE button for less than 1 second to change to the next available mode. The
complete mode sequence for selection is shown below:
Press the MODE button for more than 1 second to switch the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio off.
Note:
a) Only those mode sources connected will be displayed and available for selection when
using the steering wheel MODE button.
b) The MODE button will appear not to operate if only the tuner mode is available.
6.4 MUTE (shows a symbol of loudspeaker with an X over)
Press the MUTE button to switch off the sound. Press again to restore the volume to the last
selected level.
