Introduction
Notifier is a state-of-the-art notification
system, designed to bring mentalism
into the twenty-first century.
Notifier enables you to visually see the
results from Dice, Dominos, Poker
Chips, Color Sense, Pen Sense, RFID
Playing Cards, and Magneto on a
miniature retina display.
This miniaturized receiver collates
information from all of your Unifi
Devices and then displays the status of
each device on a high resolution, full-
color LCD.
The display features a breath-taking
160 x 80-pixel retina display, measuring
a mere 21 x 11mm.
Simply turn Notifier on at the beginning
of your performance and your Unifi
devices automatically connect. Once
activated, the performer is alerted
every time an Unifi device changes
state, making it easier than ever to
access the real-time information that
takes your show to the next level.

Page 3
Notifier has been designed to fit within
a standard deck of playing cards.
However, its design enables you to
incorporate into a myriad of discreet
concealed locations.
The modular technology allows you to
purchase a single receiver to work with
the entire Unifi range. This saves you
money, pocket space, and set up time
when performing more than one
Illuminati Magic product.
Notifier is compatible with all Illuminati
Magic products and provides backward
compatibility with older, legacy
systems.
Notifier is a well proven, reliable choice
for the professional performer.
Notifier allows you to adjust the
brightness levels of the display, to suit
your environment to ensure that there
is no “flashing” of props when in use.

Fitting perfectly into a standard box, it
is perfect for all types of performances,
including close up, parlor, and stage.

Important Note
Notifier utilizes a Lithium Polymer
(LiPo) Battery. LiPo Batteries are the
latest in battery technology, enabling
much higher capacity in a significantly
reduced footprint. LiPo technology is
used extensively in cellphones,
wearable devices, and smartwatches.
If LiPo batteries become fully
discharged, then the battery becomes
permanently damaged and will no
longer charge.
As a precaution, once the battery level
falls below 30% (the equivalent of six
months battery life), then Notifier will
turn off.
Therefore, it is essential that you fully
charge Notifier at least once, every six
months. If you leave your equipment on
the shelf for greater than six months
without charging, you run the risk of
the unit needing to be returned to
Illuminati Magic for repair/replacement.
When fully charged, batteries will last
up to 18 months before becoming
discharged.

Switching On and Off
To turn Notifier on, slide the power
switch up. To turn Notifier off, slide the
power switch down.
Notifier incorporates a lithium polymer
battery that will last for up to eight
hours from a single charge. If Notifier is
running low on battery, it will provide a
notification that it needs to be charged.
When Notifier powers up, it will display
the firmware version and battery status.

Charging Your Notifier
Slide the Notifier module forward
slightly to expose the USB Port and
connect it to the supplied USB charging
cable.
Insert the cable into any standard USB

take up to two hours.
Once fully charged, your Notifier unit
will provide up to eight hours of
continuous operation.

Architecture
It is beneficial to understand how the
Unifi platform works – once you have a
solid understanding of the system
architecture, you will be able to develop
your own unprecedented, mind-
blowing routines.
The Dice, Dominoes, Poker Chips,
Second Sight, Magneto, Color Sense,
and, Pen Sense all transmit on the
“Industrial, Scientific & Medical” (ISM)
band.
Every Thumper and Notifier within
range receives signals from the Unifi
devices and responds accordingly.
You may have multiple Thumpers and
Notifiers receiving the same message
(for example, if you have a backstage
assistant who needs to prepare a
revelation for you).
Additionally, Unifi utilizes Bluetooth
Low Energy (BLE) – a bidirectional
communications protocol that is used
extensively in the technology industry.

Page 11
Many electronic mentalism vendors
utilize BLE as it provides an extremely
reliable and open standard, permitting
high levels of interoperability.
BLE is a “peer-to-peer” communications
protocol – one device connected to
another device and was not intended to
be a broadcast protocol (hence why
Unifi utilizes the ISM Band to broadcast
signals).
The Thumper and Second Sight support
both ISM Band and BLE
communications, allowing them to
communicate with the Unifi App.
The Unifi App integrates with the Apple
Watch, enabling you to utilize your
Apple Watch as a peek device as well
as a remote control to send predictions
to third-party platforms.

Page 12
Hiding Notifier
Notifier was designed to fit into a
standard sized card box and is supplied
in a Phoenix branded card box.
You can easily remove Notifier from the
supplied card box, should you wish to
insert Notifier into another card box.
My favorite performance style is to be
very bold in the location of Notifier.
The vast majority of the time, I place
Notifier on the table, with the audience
in front of me. This works great in a
parlor or stage performance.
In close up performance, typically I
have Notifier in my top pocket, with the
flap of the card box facing outwards.
Notifier can be located in a whole host
of positions, including:
•In your shirt pocket.
•In the top suit pocket (inside or
outside pocket)
•On the performance table, assuming
the audience is located in front of
you.

Page 13
Notifications
Notifier receives messages from Dice,
Dominoes, Poker Chips, Pen Sense,
Color Sense, Magneto, and Second
Sight.
The most recent notification will be
displayed on the screen. For example, if
the spectator rolls a Red Dice with a
result of three, then this be displayed
on the screen. If you then use Second
Sight to scan an RFID playing card, then
this result will override the prior result.
Certain devices support a “grouping”
mode, whereby the display will “split”
into multiple segments.
This mode is particularly useful for
Dice, Dominoes, and RFID.
The oldest notification is displayed on
the left-hand side and the most recent
notification on the right-hand side.

Page 14
Dice
The Unifi Dice is a sophisticated
electronic device that transmits its
orientation every time it is moved or
detects the presence of a magnetic field
(such as a PK Ring).
The Dice are available in a range of
formats including; Casino Pips, Classic
Elements, Emoji, ESP Symbols, Rubiks
Cube, Shapes, and Zodiac Symbols.
Notifier will display the outcome of the
Dice roll, with the appropriate graphic,
depending upon which style of Dice
you are using. The background color
indicates the color of the Dice.
If you roll multiple Dice, the screen will
split into multiple different segments,
so that it can display the result from up
to three different dice simultaneously.

Page 15
Domino
Dominoes are displayed on the Notifier
display, with a white background
indicating that the Domino is face up
and a dark grey background indicating
that the Domino is facing down.
The pip configuration reflects the pip
configuration on the actual Domino.
If motion sensing is enabled and the
Domino is moved, then the pips will
change to purple. If magnetic field
sensing is enabled and the Domino
detects a magnetic field, then the pips
will change to green.

Page 16
Poker Chip
Poker Chips are displayed on the
Notifier display, with the background
indicating the color of the Poker Chip.
If the Poker Chip changes orientation,
then the background color will darken
or lighten to match the orientation.
If motion sensing is enabled and the
Poker Chip is moved, then the white
bars will change to purple.
If magnetic field sensing is enabled and
the Poker Chip detects a magnetic field,
then the white bars will change to
green.

Page 17
Color Sense
Color Sense consists of six crayons
inside a traditional crayon box. The
crayons themselves are standard,
everyday crayons, however, the crayon
box contains motion sensors so that
when a crayon is removed, a
notification is dispatched.
Notifier will display the result of a
Crayon being removed from the Color
Sense box.
The background color of the display will
provide a visual indication of the color
of the Crayon.
