VICTRIX 75
VICTRIX 75 is a condensing wall-hung open chamber fan assisted
or room-sealed fan assisted boiler for central heating only. With a
special kit (optional) this boiler may be used in conjunction with a
separate boiler unit for the production of domestic hot water with
capacities of 80, 105, 120 and 200 litres.
e boiler is approved for installation both inside a heating station
and outside the building and can be installed single or in cascade by
which we mean the installation of a maximum of 3 boilers in battery
on the same system.
Special hydraulic kits are available as optional accessories to complete
the installation such as the ISPESL safety kit, the distribution
manifold with lter kit, the 3-way diverter valve kit for coupling
the boiler unit storage tank and the hydraulic manifolds kits for
connecting two or three boilers in cascade.

for its high operating performance and wide modulation range (from
25 % to 100 % of its nominal output).
e boiler has a heat output of 72.6 kW (62.443 kcal/h) and features
an innovative total premix combustion system that ensures minimal
pollution emissions. It can work with natural gas or LPG.
e appliance is regulated and controlled by means of a
microprocessor controlled p.c.b. which, via a display, shows the state
of boiler operation (temperatures, operation status, fault codes, etc.).
General features.
e hydraulic circuit features a water-gas coil exchanger in stainless
steel.
All boilers are tted with an antifreeze device for temperatures of
down to -5 °C.
e VICTRIX 75 boiler must be installed using specic air/ue kits
(green series) made in plastic and especially for the VICTRIX 75
boiler whether it is installed in a single conguration
or in a battery (up to a maximum of 3 boilers).
e plastic (80 mm Ø exible) ducting ue system can also be used,
designed specically for Immergas condensing boilers.

Primary circuit (boiler circuit).
e primary circuit with relevant control and safety devices
is triggered each time there is a request for central heating
or antifreeze.
Operation.
e heat contained in the ue produced by combustion is
absorbed by the pipes of the coil water-gas exchanger tted in
the condensation module (13), which, in turn, transfers it to
the water circulating inside thanks to the boiler pump (28).

e pump works on the primary circuit return and it is physi-
cally coupled to the components supporting plate.

Primary heat exchanger
(condensation module).
It consists of a casing containing 12 coil shaped elements.
Each element is made of 5 elliptic pipe spirals (3).
e whole module is made of stainless steel. e lower sec-
tion is the sealed combustion chamber while the top is the
condensation chamber (4).
e eight lower elements are heated directly by the cylindrical
burner, while the top four are located inside the condensation
chamber (4) which is separated from the combustion chamber
by a metal plate (see the ue circuit).
To minimise head losses and increase the ow available for
the system, the ow consists of the parallel connection of six
elements while the return consists of the parallel connection
of the remaining six elements.
e exchanger inlet is connected to the boiler pump ow on
which the system return NTC probe is positioned (6) while the
outlet, on which the system ow (7) NTC probe is positioned,
is connected to the primary circuit ow.

and return pipes of the primary circuit.
e overheating safety thermostat (1) is installed on the system
ow pipe.
e ue hood (5) is connected to the top of the module by a
seal and fastened to the supporting frame by screws.

Safety devices and controls.
System pressure switch (2).
is switch detects the pressure inside the primary circuit.
It is housed on the ow manifold body and coupled to a
microswitch that prevents the burner working when pressure
is below 0.3 bar.
It prevents the main exchanger from overheating.
ISPESL type approved 4 bar safety valve (3).
It prevents the safety pressure from being exceeded in the
circuit (4 bar).
It is located at the front of the ow manifold body to which
it is coupled.
When this valve trips it causes water to come through the
system ow pipe to which an extension pipe (4) is connected
that ends with a collection funnel (5).

Air-gas circuit.
e circuit consists of a total pre-mix combustion system
comprising a fan (7), a pneumatic type gas valve (9), a Venturi
pipe (5) and a special cylindrical burner (4) that works inside
the condensation module.
Operation.
e fan (7) is controlled by the microprocessor driven p.c.b.
that varies speed according to the output required.
By means of this fan, combustion air is taken from the draught
diverter (3), which is in contact with outside and sent through
a duct where a Venturi pipe (5) is installed.
A positive pressure signal (P1) is located at the Venturi (5) inlet
and varies in a way directly proportional to the quantity of air
extracted by the fan (7) and which is detected by means of a
pressure point connected to the pneumatic gas valve (9).
e energising of the main valve coils causes both internal
shutters to open and the gas to ow through, whose outlet
pressure is regulated by the same pneumatic valve with a 1:1
ratio at pressure “P1”.
rough nozzle (6), gas is injected at the inlet of the Venturi
pipe (5) where pre-mixing begins with the combustion air.
e resulting mix is ignited on the cylindrical burner surface
(4) by a spark of the ignition electrodes (10).
Gas valve.
e gas valve features two main coils controlled by the inte-
grated board and a pneumatic control unit that modulates the
exiting gas pressure at a 1:1 ratio at pressure (P1) detected at
the Venturi pipe inlet.
e ratio between air and gas pressures (o-set) are set on this
valve (see gas regulations).
Electrical coils (4).
Two ON-OFF type coils that are powered by the integrated
board (24 Vdc) when the burner has to be ignited.
ey are connected in series and energised at a voltage of 24
V through a connector (3).
Pneumatic unit (2).
Outlet pressure can be varied with this unit at a 1:1 ratio at
pressure (P1) detected at the Venturi pipe inlet which is re-
turned to the valve through a silicone pipe (1).
anks to this system, the percentages in the air-gas mix remain
constant at optimum values on the entire modulation eld thus
ensuring an almost constant combustion performance.
By means the o-set screw (2) the air-gas ratio can be ad-
justed.
is is only necessary if, after having analysed the ue, incorrect
combustion values are found (see air-gas ratio adjustment).

Fan.
is operates upstream from the combustion chamber and it
is physically positioned at the bottom of said chamber.
e fan is powered by mains voltage (230 V AC) and is control-
led by the integrated board by a positive square wave signal
with a variable ON-OFF ratio (duty-cycle).
Its speed is adjusted (from about 1500 to about 5500 rpm) ac-
cording to the output required and is controlled by means of
a Hall eect sensor which reads the rpm.
e fan extracts the combustion air from the top of the draught
diverter through a plastic pipe (1) that helps reduce noise and
optimises burner ignition.
Variations in the ow of air entering the mixing duct results
in a variation in the pressure (P1) signal at the inlet of the
Venturi pipe and enables the pneumatic valve to regulate
exiting gas pressure.
Venturi.
e Venturi pipe (1) is tted in a sealed duct (4) inside which
the combustion air and gas are mixed.
e air is driven to the bottom of the duct by the fan, while
the exiting gas from the valve is injected at the Venturi pipe
(1) inlet by a nozzle (2).
e transit of air in the pipe creates vacuum (“Venturi eect”)
which, through the 4 holes (3) in the base, “drags” the gas
inside and mixes it with the air.
e nozzle (2) diers in diameter according to whether natural
gas or LPG is used; in fact working with both gases at a more or
less constant pressure, its section determines correct gas ow.
At the end of the Venturi pipe is a pressure pick-up point where
the input signal (P1) is read.
is signal is conveyed to the pneumatic valve regulating the
gas pressure via a silicone pipe.

Burner.
is is a cylindrical burner (5) consisting of three concentric
plates appropriately perforated and made of a special stainless
steel highly resistant to high temperatures and corrosion.
It is tted inside the condensation module, in a sealed com-
bustion chamber closed by a ange (6) to which the burner is
secured and which simultaneously ensures direct connection
with the air-gas mix duct (4).
Pre-mixing, the absence of secondary air and the construction
characteristics of the burner ensure high combustion perform-
ance and very low pollutant emissions (see technical data).
anks to the high resistance to temperatures of the materi-
als used, it is possible to operate with a very low ame up
to a minimum output of 18.1 kW (15566 kcal/h) (25 % of
nominal output).
An integrated electronic board sees to ignition and controls
both the ignition (7) and detection (9) electrodes.
Ignition electrodes (7).
ey are controlled by the integrated electronic board which
produces an electrical discharge between them that ignites
the air-gas mix.
Electrode (8) has no ceramic insulation and is earthed directly
(blind electrode).
ey are positioned on the left of the burner and secured on
the ange (6).
Detection electrode (9).
It is controlled by the integrated electronic board and detects
burner ignition.
It also acts as a ue safety device when any air intake or combus-
tion product extraction problems cause the burner to operate
below minimum output.
In this case, in fact, we have a ame-stop condition because
there is no detection by the electrode.
To protect the combustion circuit, this same stoppage prevents
the module from lling with water whenever there are conden-
sation drainage problems (siphon blockage, etc.).
e electrode is mounted on the burner ange (6), at the bot-
tom right of the burner.
Note: in case of ignition block it’s required to check the dis-
tances of the ignition electrodes and of the detection electrodes
sticking to the values shown in the gure at this side.
Check moreover that there are no insulating cinders on the
detection electrodes.

Dismantling main combustion circuit components.
Ensure that the gas valve is closed before dismantling any of
the components.
Replacing the gas nozzle (19).
Loosen the gas pipe (16) to allow access to the gas nozzle (19)
located by the Venturi pipe inlet, then replace the nozzle with
a component of suitable diameter for the type of gas used (see
gas conversion).
N.B.: when retting the nozzle (19), ensure that the gas gasket
is correctly installed.
Dismantling the burner (10).
Loosen the gas pipe (16) and unscrew the two screws (21)
fastening the manifold to the fan, then loosen the 6 blind
nuts (15) fastening the gas manifold ange to the condensa-
tion module (8). To replace the graphite burner gasket (11),
unscrew the 4 screws (24).
N.B.: when retting the burner/manifold assembly, ensure
that the cord packing (23), gas gasket (9), gas pipe gasket (16)
and gasket between the fan ange and gas manifold (13) are
all correctly installed.
Dismantling the condensation module (8).
Drain the water in the module before dismantling.
Undo the nuts fastening the system ow and return pipes and
the condensate drain pipe located underneath the module.
Undo the two screws (7) and (6) fastening the module to the
two triangular mounting cross-pieces (rails), mounted onto
the back of the boiler. Loosen the screw (2) located under the
ue hood and push the stub pipe (4) down to disengage the
ue hood from the condensation module.
N.B.: when reconnecting the ue hood and module, check
the state of the ue gaskets (5) and (3).
Dismantling the ue hood (1).
Undo the three screws fastening the ue hood onto the lateral
mounting cross-piece. Undo the screw (2) located under the
ue hood and push the stub pipe (4) down to disengage the
ue hood from the condensation module.
N.B.: when reconnecting the ue hood and module, check
the state of the ue gaskets (5) and (3).
Dismantling and replacing ignition and detection elec-
trodes.
Undo the two screws fastening the ignition electrode assembly
(14). Undo the two screws fastening the detection electrode
(22).
N.B.: ensure that that the gasket is correctly installed when
retting the ignition electrodes, and ensure that the O-ring
is correctly mounted when retting the detection electrode.
When retting both types of electrode, ensure compliance
with the minimum dimensions specied in the drawing on
the opposite page.

Air-gas adjustments.
Calibration of the total pre-mix combustion system envisages,
whenever there is the need, adjustment of the nominal heat
output and air-gas ratio (o-set).
With the exception of the nominal output adjustment which
must nonetheless be done also during the initial inspection,
the two operations are normally only required after a gas
conversion, after extraordinary maintenance work (replacing
a component part of the air-gas circuit, replacing the integrated
board, etc.) or when the appliance needs recalibrating.
Nominal and minimum heat output regulation
e availability of maximum output is related to the length
of the air inlet and exhaust pipes. If this is extended, we have
a slight reduction in the quantity (ow) of air at the inlet and
consequently, also of burnt gas pressure.
e boiler is factory set for operation with a horizontal con-
centric kit, 80/125 Ø, 0.5 m and consequently the use of ue
accessories with higher or lower head losses requires the control
and, if necessary, adjustment of nominal output in accordance
with the table below.
e operation must be performed in the following way, observ-
ing the values given in the heat output adjustment table:
- start the boiler in the chimneysweep mode simultaneously
pressing the “MODE” and “+” keys for two seconds, the
letter “H” followed by a two-digit number indicating the
primary circuit temperature appears on the display; now
control maximum speed (with the burner on);
- after at least 5 minutes check, modifying if necessary, the
value of parameter No. 22 “Max. fan rpm in central heat-
ing”, after having entered the technician’s code, to obtain the
relative value (fan RPM) for nominal output (see technical
data);
- press the “MODE” and “-” keys simultaneously for two
seconds; this forces the boiler at minimum and the letter
“L” followed by a two-digit number indicating the primary
circuit temperature appears on the display;
- check, modifying if necessary, the value of parameter No.
26 (“Min fan rpm in central heating”) to obtain the relative
value (fan RPM) for nominal output (see technical data).
To exit the chimneysweep function press the “+” and “-”
keys simultaneously for two seconds.
Air-gas ratio adjustment (o-set).
e correct air-gas ratio adjustment (1:1) is factory set and
needs resetting only when carbon dioxide (CO2) values in
the ue do not correspond to optimum values.
For this purpose, during the initial inspection or after
extraordinary maintenance jobs, a ue analysis must be
performed at maximum output and at minimum output
that certies combustion complies with the values indicated
in the following table:

To check correctly and if necessary adjust the air-gas ratio,
proceed as follows:

Calibrating maximum CO2.
- Switch the boiler on and set to chimneysweep mode by press-
ing and holding the "MODE" and "+" buttons simultane-
ously for two seconds. is forces the boiler to operate at
maximum power and the letter "H" appears on the display,
followed by a two gure number indicating the primary
circuit temperature;
- perform a combustion product sampling by inserting the
test probe as far as it will go;
- check that the measured carbon dioxide (CO2) value matches
the value corresponding to nominal output power in the table
above;
- if the values are incorrect, bring them back to the limits
with the gas valve ow adjustment screw (12).
Turn clockwise to reduce the CO2, turn counterclockwise to
increase it.

Calibrating minimum CO2.
- after calibrating the maximum CO2value, switch the boiler
on and run at minimum output by pressing and holding the
"MODE" and "-" buttons simultaneously for two seconds.
is forces the boiler to operate at minimum power and the
letter "L" appears on the screen, followed by a two gure
number indicating the primary circuit temperature;
- take a fume sample, inserting the analyser probe complete-
ly;
- check that the measured carbon dioxide (CO2) value is within
the limits specied for minimum power in the table above;
- if the values are incorrect, restore them to the limits by
turning the gas valve’s oset adjustment screw (3).
By turning the screw clockwise the CO2value increases while
it decreases by turning the screw counter clockwise.
Gas conversion.
By using the special kits (natural gas or LPG) the appliance
can be adapted to a type of gas dierent to that for which the
boiler is factory set: Conversion involves replacing the gas noz-
zle positioned at the inlet of the Venturi pipe and regulating
the maximum and minimum heat outputs by varying max.
fan rpm in central heating of paramenter “No. 22” and min.
fan rpm in central heating of parameter “No. 26” (see nominal
and minimum heat output adjustment).
Finally, check the carbon dioxide (CO2) value at maximum
and minimum output and if necessary adjust by means of the
o-set signal (see air-gas ratio adjustment).

Condensate drain trap (4).
It takes the condensate from the bottom of the module since
this condensate collects when the boiler is working.
Its outlet is connected to the drain pipe (11) towards which it
allows the passage of water but not ue which could happen
if the evacuation pipes get clogged.
e trap’s water column is, in fact, higher than the pressure
inside the sealed chamber (module) with the fan working at top
speed and the evacuation pipes clogged to working limits, thus
avoiding the products of combustion from being discharged
through the condensate drain. When switched on for the rst
time the ue could be discharged through the drain pipe (11)
but this stops after only a few minutes once the condensate
has reached the appropriate height. If this does not happen
soon, ll the trap with water after rst having removed the
small pipe (10) which must be put back in place when you
have nished.
Air-ue intake traps (8-9).
e top of the appliance features two intake traps with screw
closing accessible from the front (after having removed the
plastic cover) and from where combustion air (8) and ue (9)
can be sampled.
Flue circuit.
Operation.
Operation of the fan positioned at the inlet of the air-gas mix
duct ensures the forced expulsion of the exhaust ue produced
by the cylindrical burner (5).
e ue directly hit the rst eight elements of the primary
exchanger tted in the sealed combustion chamber (6) on
the bottom of which is a steel plate (7) that separates it from
the condensation chamber (2) and deviates the ue outside
the module.
In this way, the exhaust gases, before entering the condensation
chamber (2), hit the last three (3) elements of exchanger inside
which the primary circuit return water ows.
is cools the products of combustion even more and fa-
cilitates condensation before exiting through the draught
diverter (1).
e condensation water that forms inside the exchanger, in
the draught diverter and possibly in the extraction ducts, ows
down to the bottom of the module from where, before being
runo, it is conveyed to a siphon (4).
Flue hood (1).
is is connected to the top of the condensation module and con-
veys the combustion products to the ue exhaust at the top of the
appliance.
It is involved in the transit of the ue and the condensation water
that has formed inside or in the exhaust pipes.
It is made of plastic resistant to the corrosive eects of condensate
and is suitable for working at a temperature of up to 130 °C (max
ue temperature with 85 °C ow = 78 °C).
e ue hood and ue exhaust duct are protected by a thermostat
(12) that is triggered when the temperature exceeds 90 °C.

Air inlet and exhaust systems.
(see air inlet and exhaust end pieces nstructions).
VICTRIX 75 boilers are type approved for installation outside
and inside a heating station.
e “VICTRIX 75” boiler leaves the factory with a “B23” type
conguration (fan-assisted open chamber); to change the con-
guration into a “C” type (fan-assisted sealed chamber) you
have to remove the 80 Ø adapter, the bracket and the seal on
the boiler cover so you can then use the specic kits.
For a correct installation of the VICTRIX 75 boiler it is neces-
sary to use the specic set of air inlet and exhaust pipes that
have been designed to be used exclusively with the VICTRIX
75 series of condensation boilers.
“GREEN SERIES” ue pipes for the VICTRIX 75 are made
of plastic (PPS = self-extinguishing polypropylene) suitable for
resisting the corrosive action of acid condensation as they are
specic for this kind of appliance.
Fan-assisted sealed chamber conguration
(type C).
Air inlet.
e vacuum that is created when the fan is working allows
the inlet of combustion air through the external concentric
hole (125 Ø) of the concentric adapter (2) slotted into the
draught diverter (1) which is connected to the fan with a
plastic pipe.
In this way air inlet occurs outside the room where the boiler
is installed.
Exhaust.
Likewise, the discharge of the products of combustion occurs
by exploiting the narrowest hole (80 Ø) on the draught diverter
(1) which, by means of the concentric adapter (2), is coupled
to the concentric air inlet and exhaust ues.
In this way the ue are expelled outside the room where the
boiler is installed.

Air inlet and exhaust kits.
e kits with relative accessories permit use of two concentric
systems.
As regards the load losses relating to each accessory and the
various possible combinations see the instructions concerning
the air inlet and exhaust end pieces.
e coupling of the various accessories (curves, extensions, end
pieces) are of the push tting and sealing is ensured by EPDM
peroxide lip seals resistant to the action of condensate.

Fan-assisted open chamber conguration. (type
B23).
e VICTRIX 75 boilers leave the factory in the B23 con-
guration.
Air inlet.
e vacuum created by the fan permits the inlet of combus-
tion air through the external concentric hole (125 Ø) of the
draught diverter (1) which is connected to the fan with a
plastic pipe.
us the air inlet of air occurs directly from the room where
the boiler is installed through slits at the back of the boiler
and on the side of the valve supporting plate at the bottom
of the boiler.
Exhaust.
Likewise, the products of combustion are expelled through
the narrowest hole (80 Ø) on the draught diverter (1) which
is connected to the exhaust pipes with the adapter (2).
us the ue are discharged outside the room where the boiler
is installed.
Exhaust kit.
e kits with relative accessories permit the use of three 80 Ø
ue discharge systems and a exible 80 Ø ducting system.
As regards the load losses relating to each accessory and the
various possible combinations see the instructions concerning
the exhaust end pieces.
e coupling of the various accessories (curves, extensions, end
pieces) is of the push tting and sealing is ensured by EPDM
peroxide lip seals resistant to the action of condensation.

80 exible ducting system.
With this kit it is possible to duct 80 Ø pipes of existing
ues/stacks/technical slots to be used with one Immergas
condensation boiler only.
It is connected to the boiler’s exhaust pipe with an 87° curve
(4) that, with the necessary vertical extensions (3), is connected
to the relative exhaust end piece (1).
Remember to insert some nned spacers (2) which helps centre
the exhaust pipe inside the old stack.
e system can be inspected through the hatch (5) on the
opening that connects to the boiler’s ue extracting pipe.
e maximum permitted length is 30 straight vertical me-
tres.
