Initial Safety Instructions
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE TO ENSURE SAFETY, AS THEY
MAY NOT ALL BE OBVIOUS.
• Any use of this product in a manner not
recommended by the manufacturer may
cause injury to persons or damage to the
appliance.
• The use of accessories or attachments
for this unit are not recommended or
sold by the product manufacturer.
• This product has no user-serviceable
parts. Do not attempt to examine or re-
pair this product yourself. Only qualified
service personnel should perform any
servicing.
• Do not allow a child to use this ap-
pliance. Keep the appliance out of
children's reach at all times. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with this appliance.
• Keep any parts or packaging materi-
als away from children. These are a
potential source of suocation or other
danger.
• Always operate the appliance on a flat,
stable surface. Use indoors only.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities that may lead to
improper use or injury from operating
the appliance.
• Discontinue any operation of the appli-
ance if any of its parts malfunction or
if any components are damaged in any
manner. Take it to the nearest autho-
rized service facility for examination,
repair, or adjustment.
• Do not use the appliance if it has been
submerged or placed under running
water.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces
• If the power cord of this appliance is
damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced
by the manufacturer or authorized ser-
vice person.
• Do not leave the product unattended
while in use. Unplug the product from
the electrical outlet when not in use.
• If there is smoke or a strong odor coming
from the unit, unplug it immediately and
contact Customer Service.
• Make sure the power cord is routed so no
one can accidentally come into contact
with it.
• Before first use, check the base unit
(including the power cord) and all parts
for any faults or defects.
• To reduce risk of electric shock, the plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact an electri-
cian. Do not modify the plug.
• Do not leave the appliance plugged in if
it is not in use! Do not plug in the appli-
ance until it is time to start the cooking
process.
• CAUTION HOT SURFACES: This appli-
ance generates heat during use. Proper
precautions must be taken to prevent
the risk of burns, fire or other damage to
persons or property.
• When using this appliance, provide ade-
quate ventilation above and on all sides
for air circulation. Do not use it under a
wall cabinet.
• Do use this appliance near curtains or
other flammable materials.
• Do not use glass containers unless they
are designed to be used with a burner
and can withstand high temperatures.
• Do not place any unstable pans or
cooking containers on the burner. Use
flat-bottom cookware.
WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical
known to the State of California to cause cancer, congenital disabilities or other
reproductive harm.

Getting Started
Thank you for purchasing this quality Courant Ceramic Burner! No assembly is re-
quired. Please read all of these instructions before first use to safely get the most out of
your new appliance.
Before using your burner for the first time:
1. Carefully unpack the appliance. Remove all labels and packaging materials.
Do not plug the appliance in yet.
2. Take special care when unpacking. Ensure there is no damage.
3. Clean the appliance (see the Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance section later in this
guide). When the unit is completely dry, place it on a dry, stable, level surface.
Ensure it is kept away from any surface edges.
4. Before using your hot infrared hot plate for the first time, turn the hot plate to
the highest setting for 3 to 5 minutes to protect the coating. This should be done
when there is nothing placed on the burner(s).
During initial use, you may notice a slight odor due to the release of manufacturing
residues. This is normal and will disappear aer a few uses.

Operating the Ceramic Burner
Do not plug in the appliance until it is time to heat the unit and start the cook-
ing process. Do not leave it plugged in if it is not in use!
CAUTION: THE UNIT GETS HOT DURING COOKING AND PREHEATING.
1. Turn the temperature control knob to “min“ (o).
2. Plug the burner into an appropriate outlet.
3. Turn the control knob to the desired setting. The unit will cycle on and o to
maintain selected temperature. The required setting will depend on the type or
amount of food and cooking that is needed.
4. The indicator light on the front of burner will turn o when the hot plate
reaches the selected temperature. Heating may cycle on and o to maintain the
selected heat level.
5. The heating element will begin to heat immediately. Do not touch while in use,
the housing surface will also become hot.
6. When the burner is not in use, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and
allow the unit to cool down. Do not touch the unit near the surface until it has
fully cooled.
When removing cooked items from the burner, BE CAREFUL AS THEY WILL BE HOT.
Wear gloves when touching hot containers.
TO KEEP FOOD WARM
Turn the knob to a suitable position to maintain food at a constant warm temperature.
This will depend on the type and amount of food. When the knob is turned all of the
way to the le (min/o), food will stay warm as the burner plate gradually cools down.

Additional Operating Instructions and Tips
• Do not place any unstable pans or cooking containers on the burner.
Use flat-bottom cookware.
• Use only stainless steel, aluminum, and ceramic pots and pans.
Do not use glass cookware unless it is designed for cooking on a burner of this
type and can withstand very high temperatures.
• Take care when using lids on cookware. Do not overfill containers with food that
could expand during cooking and casue a spillover.
• To ensure safety and best results, use cookware that is appropriately sized in
diameter for this appliance.
• Use NON-PLASTIC coasters or placemats between the electric burner and any
heat sensitive counter surfaces. Failure to do so may cause permanent damage or
stains on the surface.
USDA COOKING GUIDELINES
The United States Department of Agriculture recommends that meat and poultry be
cooked to the following internal temperatures to be certain that harmful bacteria has
been killed. Cook all food to these minimum internal temperatures as measured with
a food thermometer before removing food from the heat source.
• Ground turkey and chicken: cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C
• Ground beef, veal, and lamb: cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F / 71°C
• Whole chicken and turkey: cooked to an internal temperature of 180°F/82°C or
170°F / 77°C for breast.
• Goose and duck: cooked to an internal temperature of 180°F / 82°C
• Fresh beef, veal, and lamb: cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F / 63°C

Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance
There is no disassembly required to clean this unit.
Always switch off the appliance and unplug it before cleaning.
Allow the unit to cool completely. This may take about 30 minutes.
Do not clean the unit until it has fully cooled.
Clean the unit with a damp, soapy cloth. Do not get the unit wet or leave any standing
water. Do not use abrasive tools or harsh cleaning solutions. Dry the surface with a
dry cloth or paper towel.
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE THE UNIT IN WATER. THIS APPLIANCE HAS ELECTRICAL
COMPONENTS AND SHOULD NEVER COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER.

Courant® warrants this product against defects in materi-
al and workmanship to the original purchaser as specified
below. Please be sure that the product is registered online
within fourteen (14) days of purchase.
PARTS – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of one (1)
year from the date of the original purchase, Cou-
rant® will repair or replace the product parts at no
charge (for parts) to consumers in the U.S.A. and
Canada.
LABOR – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of ninety
(90) Days from the date of the original purchase,
Courant® will repair or replace the product at no
charge to consumers in the U.S.A. and Canada. Af-
ter ninety (90) days, it will be the responsibility of
the consumer.
Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center are
the sole responsibility of the consumer.
To obtain warranty service by an authorized Courant® ser-
vice center, please email us at: [e-mail]
to obtain a Repair and Maintenance Authorization (RMA)
number and to locate the Warranty Service Center nearest
you. Once authorized, you must mail the product to the
authorized Courant® service center in its original product
packaging materials or equivalent, to prevent damage
while in transit.
Further, should Courant® determine that the product is
outside of the Warranty terms, Courant® will return the
product to sender at sender’s expense without being re-
paired or replaced, unless authorized by the consumer
to service the out-of-warranty product at consumer’s ex-
pense. All handling or restocking charges for returns and/
or replacements shall be non-refundable.
Courant® specifically excludes from this warranty any
non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories, and
disposable parts including, but not limited to, outside
case, connecting cables, batteries, and AC adapters. Cou-
rant® reserves the right to repair or replace defective prod-
ucts with the same, equivalent, or newer models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace product at
our discretion. Replacement may be either new or refur-
bished and while every endeavor will be made to ensure
it is the same model, if same model is not available, it will
be replaced with a model of equal or higher specification.
Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this, or any oth-
er, warranty. Further, Courant® hereby reserves the right to
determine “Wear and Tear” on any and all products. Tam-
pering or opening the product casing or shell will void this
warranty in its entirety.
In addition, this warranty does not apply if the product
has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or mis-
application; has been altered or modified without the
written permission of Courant®; has been serviced by a
non-authorized repair center of Courant®; has not been
properly maintained or operated according to the oper-
ation manual; has been used for commercial, non-house-
hold purposes; has been cosmetically damaged; was not
imported by Courant®; was not manufactured according
to specification of the United States market; was dam-
aged due to improper installation or neglect by the con-
sumer; was damaged due to improper packaging in ship-
ment to the Warranty Service Center; was damaged due
to natural disasters; or if the serial number for the product
has been removed or defaced.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WAR-
RANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO
ONE (1) YEAR PARTS AND NINETY (90) DAYS LABOR FROM
THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE OF THIS
PRODUCT.
THESE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES ARE THE SOLE AND
EXCLUSIVE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE SALE AND USE OF THE PRODUCT. NO OTHER
WARRANTIES, ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESSED OR IM-

may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific le-
gal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from

¡Gracias por su compra del Quemador Eléctrico de Cerámica Courant! No se requiere
ningún armado. Por favor lea todas las instrucciones antes del primer uso para que de
forma segura obtenga el mejor uso de su electrodoméstico.
Antes de usar su unidad la primer vez:
1. Desempaque cuidadosamente este electrodoméstico. Retire todas las etiquetas y
material de empaque. Aún no conecte el aparato.
2. Tenga cuidado especial cuando desempaque. Asegúrese de que no haya daños.
3. Limpie la unidad (ver la sección de Cuidados, Limpieza y Mantenimiento más
adelante en esta guía). Cuando la unidad esté completamente seca, colóquela
sobre una superficie seca, estable y nivelada. Asegúrese de que esté lejos de la
orilla de cualquier superficie.
4. Antes de usar la placa infrarroja caliente por primera vez, ponga el selector de

Operando el Quemador de Cerámica
No conecte el electrodoméstico hasta que sea momento de calentar la unidad
y comenzar el proceso de cocción. ¡No lo deje conectado cuando no esté en
uso!
PRECAUCIÓN: LA UNIDAD SE CALIENTA DURANTE LA COCCIÓN Y EL PRECALEN-
TADO.
1. Ajuste la perilla de control de temperatura al mínimo (o)
2. Conecte el quemador en un tomacorriente apropiado
3. Ajuste la perilla de control de temperatura a la temperatura deseada. La unidad
se encenderá y apagará para mantener la temperatura seleccionada. El ajuste
deseado dependerá del tipo o cantidad de alimentos y la cocción que se requiera.
4. La luz indicadora al frente del quemador se apagará cuando la placa caliente
llegue a la temperatura seleccionada. El elemento calentador puede apagarse y
prenderse para mantener el nivel de calor deseado.
5. El elemento calentador comenzará a calentar de inmediato. No lo toque mien-
tras esté en uso, también la superficie alrededor puede calentarse..
6. Cuando el quemador no esté en uso, desconecte el cable de suministro de en-
ergía del tomacorriente y permita que la unidad se enfríe. No toque la superficie
de la unidad hasta que esta se haya enfriado completamente.
Cuando retire los alimentos cocinados del quemador, TENGA CUIDADO PORQUE
ESTARÁN CALIENTES. Use guantes cuando toque los recipientes calientes
PARA MANTENER CALIENTES LOS ALIMENTOS
Gire la perilla a una posición adecuada para mantener los alimentos a una temperatu-
ra caliente constante. Esto dependerá del tipo y cantidad de comida. Cuando la perilla
se gira completamente a la izquierda (min/o), los alimentos se mantendrán calientes
conforme la placa del quemador se enfría gradualmente.

• No coloque ninguna olla o sartén o recipiente inestable en el quemador. Utilice
utensilios de cocina con la base plana.
• Utilice solo ollas y sartenes de acero inoxidable, aluminio y cerámica. No utilice
utensilios de cocina de vidrio a menos que hayan sido diseñados para la cocción
en un quemador de este tipo y pueden soportar temperaturas muy altas.
• Tenga cuidado cuando utilice tapas en sus ollas y sartenes. No sobrellene los
recipientes con comida que puede expandirse durante la cocción y causar derra-
mamientos.
• Para garantizar la seguridad y los mejores resultados, utilice utensilios de cocina
que sean apropiados en tamaño y diámetro para este aparato.
• Utilice protectores o manteles individuales NO PLÁSTICOS entre el quemador

Cuidados, Limpieza y Mantenimiento
No se necesita desarmar nada para limpiar esta unidad.
Siempre paga este electrodoméstico y desconecte antes de limpiar.
Siempre permita que la unidad se enfríe. Esto puede llevar cerca de 30

Courant™ garantiza al comprador original este produc-
to contra defectos en su material y mano de obra como
se especifica a continuación. Registre el producto en
línea dentro de los catorce (14) posteriores a su compra.
PARTES – Si se determina que el producto
tiene defectos de fabricación, dentro del pe-
riodo de un (1) año a partir de la fecha de
compra original, Courant™ reparará o reem-
plazara las partes del producto sin ningún
costo para usted en Estados Unidos y Canadá.
MANO DE OBRA – Si se determina que el producto
tiene defectos de fabricación, dentro de un pe-
riodo de noventa (90) días a partir de la fecha de
compra original, Courant™ reparará o reemplaza-
ra las partes del producto sin ningún costo para
usted en Estados Unidos y Canadá. Después de
noventa (90) días será responsabilidad del com-
prador.
Los costos de envío hacia o desde nuestro centro de
servicio corren exclusivamente a cargo del cliente.
Para obtener el servicio de garantía de un distribuidor
autorizado de Courant™ envíenos un correo electrónico
a: [e-mail] para obtener un número
de Autorización de Reparación y Mantenimiento (RAM)
y para localizar el Centro de Servicio de Garantías más
cercano. Una vez autorizado debe enviar por correo el
producto en su empaque original o equivalente al cen-
tro de servicio Courant autorizado, para evitar daños
durante el tránsito.
Además, si Courant™ determinara que el producto está
fuera de los términos de garantía, Courant™ devolverá
el producto al remitente con costo a cargo del remiten-
te sin ser reparado o reemplazado, a menos que sea au-
torizado por el cliente darle servicio al producto fuera
de garantía con cargo para el cliente. Todos los cargos
de manejo y reposición para el retorno y/o reemplazo
no serán reembolsables.
Courant™ excluye de esta garantía accesorios no eléc-
tricos o mecánicos, accesorios y partes desechables
incluyendo, pero no limitado, a la carcaza, cables de
conexión, baterías, adaptadores AC. Courant™ se re-
serva el derecho de reparar o reemplazar un producto
defectuoso con un modelo igual, equivalente o nuevo.
Nos reservamos el derecho ya sea de reparar o reempla-
zar el producto a nuestra discreción. El reemplazo pue-
de ser nuevo o reacondicionado tratando de asegurar
de que se trate del mismo modelo, si el mismo modelo
no está disponible, se reemplazará con un modelo de
especificaciones iguales o superiores.
El “desgaste” normal no está cubierto por esta ni por
ningún otra garantía. Adicionalmente, Courant™ se
reserva el derecho de determinar el “desgaste” de cual-
quiera o todos los productos. Violar o abrir el chasis
del producto invalidará por completo esta garantía.
Además, esta garantía no aplica si el producto ha sido
dañado por accidente, mal uso, abuso, uso indebido;
si ha sido alterado o modificado sin el consentimiento
escrito de Courant™; ha sido reparado por un Centro
de Servicio no Autorizado por Courant™; no se le ha
dado el mantenimiento adecuado o no ha sido op-
erado de acuerdo a las instrucciones del manual de
operación; ha sido utilizado de forma comercial y no
para el uso casero; ha sido dañado cosméticamente;
no ha sido importado por Courant™; no ha sido fab-
ricado de acuerdo a las especificaciones del mercado
de Estados Unidos; ha resultado dañado debido a una
inadecuada instalación o negligencia del cliente; ha
resultado dañado debido a un empaquetado inadec-
uado al enviarlo al Centro de Servicio de Garantía; ha
sido dañado debido a desastres naturales; o si se ha
alterado o eliminado el número de serie del producto.
TODAS LAS GARANTÍAS IMPLÍCITAS, INCLUYENDO
LAS GARANTÍAS IMPLÍCITAS DE MERCADOTECNIA E
IDONEIDAD PARA UN PROPÓSITO EN PARTICULAR
ESTÁN LIMITADAS A UNA DURACIÓN DE (1) AÑO EN
PARTES Y NOVENTA (90) DÍAS EN MANO DE OBRA DES-
DE LA FECHA ORIGINAL DE COMPRA DEL PRODUCTO.
ESTAS GARANTÍAS Y MEDIDAS SON ÚNICAS Y EXCLU-
SIVAS EN RELACIÓN CON LA VENTA Y USO DEL PRO-
DUCTO. NO SE OTORGA NINGUNA OTRA GARANTÍA,
ORAL O ESCRITA, EN FORMA EXPRESA O IMPLÍCITA.
COURANT™ NO SE HACE RESPONSABLE DE NINGÚN
DAÑO, YA SEA ESPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSECUENTE,
DIRECTO O DE CUALQUIER OTRA NATURALEZA, YA SEA
CONOCIDO O POR DAR A CONOCER A IMPECCA™, IN-
CLUYENDO LA PÉRDIDA DE GANANCIAS, PLUSVALÍA,
DAÑOS PERSONALES O EN LA PROPIEDAD RESUL-
TANTES DE CUALQUIER INCUMPLIMIENTO DE LA GA-
RANTÍA, LA INCAPACIDAD DE UTILIZAR EL PRODUCTO
O BAJO NINGUNA TEORÍA LEGAL EN CONTRATO O
AGRAVIO. LA RESPONSABILIDAD DE IMPECCA SE LIMITA
AL PRECIO ACTUAL DE COMPRA PAGADO AL VENDEDOR
DEL PRODUCTO DEFECTUOSO.
Ningún distribuidor, agente o empleado de Courant™
está autorizado para hacer ninguna modificación,
extensión, cambio o enmienda de esta garantía sin el
consentimiento y autorización escrita de Courant™.
Algunos estados no permiten la exclusión o limitación
de garantías implícitas o la responsabilidad por daños
incidentales o consecuentes, y no permiten una lim-
itación en la duración de una garantía implícita, de
modo que las anteriores limitaciones o exclusiones
pueden no aplicarse a usted. Esta garantía le otorga
derechos específicos, y puede usted tener otros dere-
chos, los cuales varían de estado a estado.

envíos a EE.UU. Continental, excluyendo Alaska y Hawái.
