Initial Safety Instructions
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE TO ENSURE SAFETY, AS THEY
MAY NOT ALL BE OBVIOUS.
• Any use of this product in any manner
not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause injury to persons or damage
to the appliance.
• The use of accessories or attachments
for this unit are not recommended or
sold by the product manufacturer.
• This product has no user-serviceable
parts. Do not attempt to examine or re-
pair this product yourself. Only qualified
service personnel should perform any
servicing.
• Do not allow a child to use this ap-
pliance. Keep the appliance out of
childrens' reach at all times. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with this appliance.
• Keep any parts or packaging materials
away from children. These are a poten-
tial source of suocation or other danger.
• Always operate the appliance on a flat,
stable heat resistant surface
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities that may lead to
improper use or injury from operating
the appliance.
• Discontinue any operation of the ap-
pliance if any of its parts malfunction

any manner. Take the appliance to the

• If the power cord of this appliance is

by the manufacturer or authorized ser-
vice person
• Do not leave the product unattended
while in use. Unplug the product from
the electrical outlet when not in use.
• Only touch the appliance by the handle
while it is in use. Do not touch any hot
surfaces. Do not move the unit while it is
in operation.
• If there is smoke or a strong odor coming
from the unit, unplug it immediately and
contact Customer Service.
• When operating the griddle, ensure the
power cord is kept away from any heat
source. This includes the surface of the
griddle.
• Make sure the power cord is routed so
that it cannot be tripped over.
• Before first use, check the base unit
(including the power cord) and all parts
for any faults or defects.
• Never operate the appliance while it is
empty.
• To reduce risk of electric shock, the plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact an electri-
cian. Do not modify the plug.
• Keep the lid closed while cooking. Do
not open until cooking time has com-
pleted.
• Do not leave the appliance plugged in if
it is not in use! Do not plug in the appli-
ance until it is time to start the cooking
process.
WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical
known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other repro-
ductive harm.

Getting Started
Thank you for purchasing this quality Courant Personal Griddle! This appliance is
fun for trying new recipe combinations. No assembly is required. This guide will
cover the steps used to prepare food with your griddle. Please read all of these
instructions before first use to safely get the most out of your new appliance.
Features:

Before using your griddle for the first time:
1. Carefully unpack the appliance. Remove all labels and packaging materials.
Do not plug the appliance in yet.
2. Take special care when unpacking. Ensure there is no damage.
3. Clean the appliance (see the Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance section later in this
guide). When the appliance is completely dry, place it on a dry, stable, level sur-
face. Ensure it is kept away from any surface edges.
During initial use, you may notice a slight odor due to the release of manufacturing
residues. This is normal and will disappear aer a few uses.

Operating the Griddle
Do not plug in the appliance until it is time to heat the unit and start the cooking
process. Do not leave it plugged in if it is not in use!
1. Before plugging in your griddle and using it for the first time, open the unit by
liing upward on the handle. The top section will rest in a vertical position.
2. Clean the cooking surface thoroughly by wiping with a sponge or cloth dampened
with hot water. Dry the surface with a cloth or paper towel.
3. Lightly brush or spray the cooking surface with cooking oil or non-stick spray.
4. Plug the cord into an electrical outlet.
5. The red power indicator light will turn on. The griddle will need to preheat for 5
minutes before baking. When the unit has reached the proper temperature and is
ready, the green indicator light will turn on.
CAUTION: THE OUTSIDE OF THE MACHINE GETS HOT DURING COOKING AND
PREHEATING.
6. Place the food on the griddle. Be careful not to overload it so that the lid can
close properly for cooking.
7. Make sure the green indicator light is now on and close the lid.
Note: The hinge is designed to be somewhat loose. This allows any dough or
batter to rise and for steam to escape.
8. Let the food cook. Follow suggested baking times in the recipe used. You may
periodically li the lid to check how cooked the food is.
9. Remove the food with a heat-proof plastic spatula or tongs. Do not use sharp
objects or utensils.
When removing cooked food from the machine, BE CAREFUL AS THEY WILL BE
HOT.
10. When finished using the appliance, be sure to unplug it!
If more food is to be cooked immediately aer, keep the griddle closed so that
it retains heat. Always wait until the green "ready" light turns on before cooking
again.

Recipes
This griddle is a hot plate cooker for a wide variety of snacks. It can be a pizza maker
or it can make large cookies, snack mixes, sweet rolls, nacho, rolls and lots more.
Search for ideas and creative recipes on the internet. Be creative and safe!
Additional Operating Instructions and Tips
• Remove food with a heat-proof plastic spatula or tongs. Do not use sharp objects
or utensils.
• Keep the lid closed while cooking. Only open the lid when cooking is finished.
• The unit is designed for food to be eaten while hot and fresh. However, food can
also be baked ahead of time for snacks and lunches. You may wish to cool it on a
rack for 10 minutes. Then, place it in a container or plastic bag and seal it tightly.
• The griddle has a non-stick surface for even baking and easy clean–up. A small
amount of oil can be added to the unit for additional flavor if desired.

Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance
There is no disassembly required to clean this unit.
1. Always switch off the appliance and unplug it before cleaning.
2. Do not clean the unit until it has fully cooled.
3. Clean the power/base unit with a damp, lint-free cloth but do not get it wet. Do
not use abrasive tools or harsh cleaning solutions.
4. Clean the cooking surface thoroughly by wiping with a sponge or cloth dampened
with hot water. When cleaning, do not run the water directly onto cooking surfac-
es. Dry the surface with a cloth or paper towel.
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE THE UNIT IN WATER. THIS APPLIANCE HAS ELECTRICAL
COMPONENTS AND SHOULD NEVER COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER

SIX MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY (US)
Courant®warrants this product against defects in
material and workmanship to the original purchaser as
specified below provided that the product is registered
online within fourteen (14) days of purchase.
PARTS – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of six (6)
months from the date of the original purchase,
Courant® will repair or replace the product parts at
no charge (for parts) to consumers in the U.S.A. and
Canada.
LABOR – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of thirty (30)
Days from the date of the original purchase,
Courant® will repair or replace the product at no
charge to consumers in the U.S.A. and Canada.
After thirty (30) days, it will be the responsibility of
the consumer.
Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center
are the sole responsibility of the consumer.
To obtain warranty service by an authorized
Courant®service center, please email
us at: [email protected] to obtain a
Repair and Maintenance Authorization (RMA) number
and to locate the Warranty Service Center
nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail
the product to the authorized Courant®service
center in its original product packaging materials
or equivalent, to prevent damage while in transit.
Further, should Courant®determine that the
product is outside of the Warranty terms, Courant®
will return the product to sender at sender’s
expense without being repaired or replaced, unless
authorized by the consumer to service the out-of-
warranty product at consumer’s expense. All handling
or restocking charges for returns and/or
replacements shall be non-refundable.
Courant®specifically excludes from this warranty
any non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories,
and disposable parts including, but not limited to,
outside case, connecting cables, batteries, and AC
adaptors. Courant®reserves the right to repair
or replace defective products with the same,
equivalent, or newer models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace
product at our discretion. Replacement may be either
new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be
made to ensure it is the same model, if same model is
not available, it will be replaced with a model of equal
or higher specification.
Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this, or any
other, warranty. Further, Courant®hereby reserves
the right to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and
all products. Tampering or opening the product
casing or shell will void this warranty in its entirety.
In addition, this warranty does not apply if the
product has been damaged by accident, abuse,
misuse, or misapplication; has been altered or
modified without the written permission of
Courant®; has been serviced by a non-authorized
repair center of Courant®; has not been properly
maintained or operated according to the operation
manual; has been used for commercial, non-
household purposes; has been cosmetically
damaged; was not imported by Courant®; was not
manufactured according to specification of the
United States market; was damaged due to improper
installation or neglect by the consumer; was
damaged due to improper packaging in shipment to
the Warranty Service Center; was damaged due to
natural disasters; or if the serial number for the
product has been removed or defaced.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO SIX
(6) MONTHS PARTS AND THIRTY (30) DAYS LABOR FROM
THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE OF THIS
PRODUCT.
THESE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES ARE THE SOLE AND
EXCLUSIVE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES IN CONNECTION

¡Gracias por comprar esta Plancha Calidad Courant! Le será divertido intentar nuevas
combinaciones de recetas con este electrodoméstico. No requiere montaje alguno.
Esta guía cubrirá los pasos utilizados para preparar alimentos con su plancha. Por favor,
lea todas estas instrucciones antes de usarla por primera vez para sacar el máximo
provecho de su nuevo electrodoméstico.
Características:
• Hornea pizzas personales con una corteza crujiente o recalienta mini pizzas
congeladas.
• Hornea rápidamente, cocinando los alimentos en menos de 10 minutos.

Antes de usar su plancha por primera vez:
1. Desempaque cuidadosamente el electrodoméstico. Retire todas las etiquetas y
materiales de empaque. No conecte aún el electrodoméstico.
2. Tenga especial cuidado al desempacar. Asegúrese de que no haya daños.
3. Limpie el electrodoméstico (vea la sección Cuidados, Limpieza y Mantenimiento
más adelante en esta guía. Cuando el electrodoméstico esté completamente
seco, colóquelo en una superficie seca, estable y nivelada. Asegúrese de que no
está cerca de las orillas de la superficie.

Operando la Plancha
No conecte el electrodoméstico hasta que sea momento de calentar la unidad y
comenzar el proceso de cocción. ¡No la deje conectada si no está en uso!
1. Antes de conectar la plancha y utilizarla por primera vez, abra el electrodoméstico
levantando hacia arriba la manija. La sección superior quedará en posición verti-
cal.
2. Limpie bien la superficie de cocción con una esponja o un paño humedecido con
agua caliente. Seque la superficie con un paño o una toalla de papel.
3. Unte ligeramente o rocíe la superficie de cocción con aceite de cocina o spray
antiadherente.
4. Enchufe el cable a una toma de corriente.
5. La luz indicadora roja de encendido se encenderá. La plancha deberá precalen-
tarse durante 5 minutos antes de hornear. Cuando la unidad haya alcanzado la
temperatura adecuada y esté lista, se encenderá la luz indicadora verde.
PRECAUCIÓN: EL EXTERIOR DEL ELECTRODOMÉSTICO SE CALIENTA DURANTE
LA COCCIÓN Y EN EL PRECALENTADO.
6. Coloque los alimentos en la plancha. Tenga cuidado de no sobrecargarla para que
la tapa pueda cerrarse correctamente para cocinar.
7. Asegúrese de que la luz indicadora verde esté encendida y cierre la tapa.
Nota: La bisagra está diseñada para estar algo suelta. Esto permite que la masa o
el rebozado suba y que el vapor salga.
8. Deje que los alimentos se cocinen. Siga los tiempos de cocción sugeridos en la
receta utilizada. Puede levantar la tapa periódicamente para comprobar el grado
de cocción de los alimentos.
9. Retire los alimentos con una espátula de plástico resistente al calor o con unas
pinzas. No utilice objetos o utensilios afilados.
Al retirar los alimentos cocinados de la plancha, TENGA CUIDADO ya que es-
tarán calientes.
10. Cuando termine de utilizar el electrodoméstico, ¡asegúrese de desenchufarlo!
Si se van a cocinar más alimentos inmediatamente después, mantenga la plancha
cerrada para que conserve el calor. Espere siempre a que se encienda la luz indi-
cadora verde (“listo”) antes de volver a cocina.

Recetas
Esta plancha es una placa caliente para cocinar una gran variedad de aperitivos. Puede
ser una máquina para hacer pizzas o puede cocinar galletas grandes, mezclas de aperi-
tivos, panecillos dulces, nachos, panecillos y mucho más.
Instrucciones de Operación Adicionales y Consejos
• Retire los alimentos con una espátula de plástico resistente al calor o con unas
pinzas. No utilice objetos o utensilios afilados.
• Mantenga la tapa cerrada durante la cocción. Abra la tapa sólo cuando la cocción
haya terminado.
• El electrodoméstico está diseñado para consumir los alimentos mientras están
calientes y frescos. Sin embargo, los alimentos también se pueden hornear con
antelación para aperitivos y almuerzos. Puede enfriarlos en una rejilla durante 10
minutos. A continuación, colóquelos en un recipiente o bolsa de plástico y ciérrelo
bien.
• La plancha tiene una superficie antiadherente para un horneado uniforme y una
fácil limpieza. Si lo desea, puede añadir una pequeña cantidad de aceite para
darle más sabor.

Cuidados, Limpieza y Mantenimiento
No se necesita desarmar nada para limpiar esta unidad.
1. Siempre apague y desconecte este electrodoméstico antes de limpiarlo.
2. No limpie la unidad hasta que se haya enfriado completamente.
3. Limpie la unidad por fuera con un paño húmedo y sin pelusas pero no mojado.
No use utensilios abrasivos o soluciones de limpieza fuertes.
4. Limpie completamente la superficie de cocción con una esponja o paño hume-
decido con agua caliente. Al limpiar, no deje correr el agua directamente sobre la
superficie de cocción. Seque la superficie con un paño o toalla de papel seco.

Garantía Limitada de Seis Meses (US)
Courant®garantiza este producto contra defectos en
material y obra al comprador original como se especifica
abajo siempre y cuando el producto este registrado en
línea dentro de los catorce (14) días de compra.
PARTES – Si se determina que el producto tiene defectos de
fabricación, dentro del periodo de seis (6) meses a partir de
la fecha de compra original, Courant® reparará
o reemplazara las partes del producto sin ningún costo
para usted en Estados Unidos y Canadá.
MANO DE OBRA – Si se determina que el producto
tiene defectos de fabricación, dentro de un periodo de
treinta (30) días a partir de la fecha de compra original,
Courant® reparará o reemplazara las partes del producto
sin ningún costo para usted en Estados Unidos y Canadá.
Después de treinta (30) días será responsabilidad del
comprador.
Costos de embarque hacia y desde el Centro de Servicio
de Garantía son la completa responsabilidad del
consumidor.
Para obtener servicio de garantía por un centro de
servicio autorizado de Courant®, por favor envíenos un
correo electrónico a: [email protected] para
obtener un numero de Autorización de Reparación y
Mantenimiento y para localizar el Centro de Servicio de
Garantía mas cerca de usted. Una vez autorizado, usted
debe enviar el artículo por correo al centro de servicios
autorizado Courant®en sus materiales de empaque de
producto originales o equivalente, para prevenir daño en
tránsito.
Además, si Courant®determina que el producto está
fuera de los términos de Garantía, Courant®retornará
el producto al remitente a cargo del remitente sin ser
reparado o reemplazado, salvo que haya sido autorizado
por el consumidor a dar servicio al producto fuera de
garantía al costo del consumidor. Todos los cargos de
manejo o por reposición por devoluciones y/o reemplazos
no serán reembolsables.
Courant®específicamente excluye de esta garantía
aditamentos no-eléctricos/mecánicos, accesorios, y partes
desechables incluyendo, pero no limitados a, caja externa,
cables de conexión, baterías, y adaptadores AC. Courant®
se reserva el derecho a reparar o reemplazar productos
con el mismo, equivalente, o modelo más nuevo.
Nos reservamos el derecho a reparar o reemplazar el
producto a nuestra discreción. El reemplazo puede ser
nuevo o reparado y aunque se hará todo lo posible por
que sea el mismo modelo, si el mismo modelo no
está disponible, será reemplazado con un modelo de la
misma mayor especificación.
Desgaste normal no es cubierto por esta
garantía. Además, Courant®se reserva el derecho a
determinar el “desgaste” en cualquier y todos
los productos. Manipulación o apertura de la cubierta
o tapadera del producto anulará esta garantía
completamente.
La garantía no aplica si el producto ha sido dañado por
accidente, abuso, mal uso, o mala aplicación; ha sido
alterado o modificado sin el permiso expreso de
Courant®; ha recibido servicio por un centro de
reparación no autorizado por Courant®; no ha sido
mantenido u operado de forma apropiada de acuerdo al
manual de operación; ha sido usado para propósitos
comerciales, no domésticos; ha sido dañado
cosméticamente; no fue importado por Courant®; no
fue fabricado de acuerdo a especificación del mercado
de Estados Unidos; fue dañado debido a instalación no
apropiada o negligencia del consumidor; fue dañado por
empaque no apropiado en el embarque al Centro de
Servicio de Garantía; fue dañado por desastre natural; o
si el número de serie del producto ha sido removido o
desfigurado.
TODAS LAS GARANTÍAS IMPLÍCITAS, INCLUYENDO LAS
GARANTÍAS IMPLÍCITAS DE MERCADOTECNIA E IDONEIDAD
PARA UN PROPÓSITO EN PARTICULAR ESTÁN LIMITADAS A
UNA DURACIÓN SEIS (6) MESES EN PARTES Y TREINTA (30)
DÍAS EN MANO DE OBRA DESDE LA FECHA ORIGINAL DE
COMPRA DEL PRODUCTO.
ESTAS GARANTÍAS Y REMEDIOS SON LAS ÚNICAS Y
EXCLUSIVAS GARANTÍAS Y REMEDIOS EN CONEXIÓN CON
LA VENTA Y USO DEL PRODUCTO. NINGUNA OTRA
GARANTÍA, ORAL O ESCRITA, EXPRESA O IMPLÍCITA SON
DADAS.
COURANT®NO ES RESPONSABLE POR NINGÚN DAÑO, YA
SEA ESPECIAL, ACCIDENTAL, CONSECUENTE, DIRECTO O
DE OTRA MANERA, O YA SEA CONOCIDO O TUVO QUE
HABER SIDO CONOCIDO POR COURANT®, INCLUYENDO
GANANCIAS PERDIDAS, BUENA VOLUNTAD, Y LESIÓN
PERSONAL O DE PROPIEDAD RESULTANTE DE CUALQUIER
ROMPIMIENTO DE GARANTÍA, LA INHABILIDAD DE USAR
EL PRODUCTO, O BAJO CUALQUIER TEORÍA LEGAL EN
CONTRATO O AGRAVIO. LA RESPONSABILIDAD DE
COURANT®ES LIMITADA AL PRECIO DE COMPRA ACTUAL
PAGADO AL VENDEDOR DETALLISTA DEL PRODUCTO
DEFECTUOSO.
Ningún comerciante, agente, o empleado de Courant®
está autorizado para hacer ninguna modificación,
extensión, cambio o enmienda a esta garantía sin el
consentimiento escrito y autorización de Courant®.
Algunos estados no permiten la exclusión o limitación
de garantías implícitas o responsabilidad por daños
accidentales o consecuentes, o no permiten una
limitación en el tiempo de duración de una garantía
implícita, así que es posible que las limitaciones o
exclusiones anteriores no apliquen a usted. Esta
garantía le da a usted derechos legales específicos, y es
posible que usted tenga otros derechos que varían de
estado a estado.
Nota: Nuestro Centro de Servicio de Garantía embarca
solamente dentro de Estados Unidos Continental,
excluyendo Alaska y Hawái.
