Initial Safety Instructions
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE TO ENSURE SAFETY, AS THEY
MAY NOT ALL BE OBVIOUS.
• Any use of this product in any manner
not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause injury to persons or damage
to the appliance.
• The use of accessories or attachments
for this unit are not recommended or
sold by the product manufacturer.
• This product has no user-serviceable
parts. Do not attempt to examine or re-
pair this product yourself. Only qualified
service personnel should perform any
servicing.
• Do not allow a child to use this ap-
pliance. Keep the appliance out of
childrens' reach at all times. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with this appliance.
• Keep any parts or packaging materials
away from children. These are a poten-
tial source of suocation or other danger.
• Always operate the appliance on a flat,
stable heat resistant surface
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities that may lead to
improper use or injury from operating
the appliance.
• Discontinue any operation of the ap-
pliance if any of its parts malfunction
or if any components are damaged in
any manner. Take the appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair or adjustment.

a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place the appliance on or near a
hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
• If the power cord of this appliance is
damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced
by the manufacturer or authorized ser-
vice person
• It is recommended to use the grill on its
own outlet and circuit, separate from
other appliances.
• Do not leave the product unattended
while in use. Unplug the product from
the electrical outlet when not in use.
• If there is smoke or a strong odor coming
from the unit, unplug it immediately and
contact Customer Service.
• When operating the grill, ensure the
power cord is kept away from any heat
source. This includes the surface of the
grill.
• Make sure the power cord is routed so
that it cannot be tripped over.
• Before first use, check the base unit
(including the power cord) and all parts
for any faults or defects.
• This appliance must be used with a
grounded outlet.
• To reduce risk of electric shock, the plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact an electri-
cian. Do not modify the plug.
• Do not leave the appliance plugged in if
it is not in use! Do not plug in the appli-
ance until it is time to start the cooking
process.
WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical
known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other repro-
ductive harm.

Getting Started
Thank you for purchasing this quality Smokeless Grill From Courant! This appliance is
fun for trying new recipe combinations. No assembly is required. This guide will cover
the steps used to prepare food with your grill. Please read all of these instructions be-
fore first use to safely get the most out of your new appliance.

Before using your grill for the first time:
1. Carefully unpack the appliance. Remove all labels and packaging materials.
Do not plug the appliance in yet.
2. Take special care when unpacking. Ensure there is no damage.
3. Clean the appliance (see the Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance section later in this
guide). Do not allow any parts to come in contact with water except where noted
in this manual. When the appliance is completely dry, place it on a dry, stable, lev-
el surface. Ensure it is kept away from any surface edges. Make sure the surface is
heat-resistant.
4. Take note that the temperature control probe must be installed before the appli-
ance is used for cooking. See the next page for details.
During initial use, you may notice a slight odor due to the release of manufacturing
residues. This is normal and will disappear aer a few uses.

Installing the Removable Temperature
Control Probe
This appliance ships with a removable temperature
control that must be installed before operation.
To install the Temperature Control:
1. Make sure it is unplugged from the outlet!
2. Make sure it knob is set to the OFF position!
3. Make sure the grill, terminal post (where the
probe plugs in) and probe are all dry.
4 Insert the probe, gently, straight into the side of
the grill. Make sure it snaps securely into place.

Operating the Grill
Do not plug in the appliance until it is time to heat the unit and start the cooking
process. Do not leave it plugged in if it is not in use! Always attach the tempera-
ture probe to the grill before plugging it into the wall!
1. Position the grill on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface. Always leave a gap of ap-
proximately 20 cm. around the exterior of the appliance. Never use the grill near
curtains, walls, under cupboards or other flammable materials. Your counter-top
finish or surface may be aected by heat. Do not place the grill on any surface
where heat may cause a problem.
2. Make sure the removable drip tray (4) is inserted into the base (5) properly (see
the previous page). DO NOT OPERATE THE GRILL WITHOUT THE DRIP TRAY IN
PLACE. Hot grease will spill onto the surface below, potentially causing damage or
injury.
3. Fill the drip tray with water to the maximum level indicated on the tray. This
makes cleaning much easier and helps the grill operate without smoke.
4. Position the grill plate (2) onto the base. The control section can be placed on
either side. The grill plate should fit securely into the grooves of the base.
5. Make sure the temperature control probe (3) is unplugged and set to OFF.
Insert it into the side of the grill, as seen on the previous page.
6. Plug the grill into the wall outlet and rotate the dial to the desired temperature set-
ting (see the chart on the next page). Allow the grill to preheat for a few minutes.
CAUTION: THE GRILL AND THE OUTSIDE OF THE MACHINE WILL GET HOT
DURING COOKING AND PREHEATING.
7. Place the food on the grill. Be careful not to overload it. Don't stack food.
8. Let the food cook. Follow the suggested cooking times for the recipe used.
9. Remove the food with a heat-proof plastic spatula or tongs. Do not use sharp
objects or utensils. Do not cut food while it is on the grill surface. This is unsafe
and bad for your grill.
Be careful when removing cooked food from the grill. It will be hot!
10. When you are finished using the appliance, be sure to turn the temperature dial to
the OFF position. Then, unplug the appliance from the wall! Do not touch the grill
surface, as it will still be hot. Allow it to cool before touching again.

Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance
1. Always switch off the appliance and unplug it before cleaning.
2. Do not proceed with cleaning the unit until it has fully cooled.
3. Remove the temperature control unit as follows:
a. Turn the temperature setting to the OFF position.
b. Allow the grill to cool before disconnecting the temperature control probe.
c. WIth the unit now unplugged from the wall, gently pull out the temperature
control probe from the appliance. Be careful to avoid any damage to the con-
trol probe or terminal post. Pull it straight (parallel to the grill surface).
4. Wash the grill plate with hot soapy water, then dry it completely with a towel. Do
not use abrasive tools or harsh cleaning solutions.
5. Clean the base plate and drip pan in soapy water. Dry them completely with a
towel. Do not use abrasive tools or harsh cleaning solutions. Do not put the base
in a dishwasher, as this may warp it.
6. Make sure the appliance and all parts are completely dry.
7. With the appliance still unplugged and turned o, re-insert the temperature con-
trol probe:
a. Make sure the temperature control is switched to OFF.
b. Align the temperature control probe with the terminal post of the grill.
c. Gently slide the temperature control probe forward until it meets the pan.
d. Ensure the temperature control probe is securely in place and makes intimate
contact with the grill.
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE THE UNIT IN WATER. THIS APPLIANCE HAS ELECTRI-
CAL COMPONENTS AND SHOULD NEVER COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER.
Additional Operating Instructions and Tips
• Remove food with a heat-proof plastic spatula or tongs. Do not use sharp objects
or utensils.
• Don't cut food while it is on the grill.
• When possible, use low to medium heat for best cooking results. This also pre-
vents discoloration of the grill and lengthens its life span. Use a meat thermome-
ter to make sure that meats are cooked to a desired and safe temperature.
• To store the appliance, make sure that all parts are clean, dry and cooled. Store
the appliance in its box or in a clean, dry location. Never wrap the cord tightly
around the appliance; keep it loosely coiled.

SIX MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY (US)
Courant®warrants this product against defects in
material and workmanship to the original purchaser as
specified below provided that the product is registered
online within fourteen (14) days of purchase.
PARTS – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of six (6)
months from the date of the original purchase,
Courant® will repair or replace the product parts at
no charge (for parts) to consumers in the U.S.A. and
Canada.
LABOR – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of thirty (30)
Days from the date of the original purchase,
Courant® will repair or replace the product at no
charge to consumers in the U.S.A. and Canada.
After thirty (30) days, it will be the responsibility of
the consumer.
Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center
are the sole responsibility of the consumer.
To obtain warranty service by an authorized
Courant®service center, please email
us at: [email protected] to obtain a
Repair and Maintenance Authorization (RMA) number
and to locate the Warranty Service Center
nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail
the product to the authorized Courant®service
center in its original product packaging materials
or equivalent, to prevent damage while in transit.
Further, should Courant®determine that the
product is outside of the Warranty terms, Courant®
will return the product to sender at sender’s
expense without being repaired or replaced, unless
authorized by the consumer to service the out-of-
warranty product at consumer’s expense. All handling
or restocking charges for returns and/or
replacements shall be non-refundable.
Courant®specifically excludes from this warranty
any non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories,
and disposable parts including, but not limited to,
outside case, connecting cables, batteries, and AC
adaptors. Courant®reserves the right to repair
or replace defective products with the same,
equivalent, or newer models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace
product at our discretion. Replacement may be either
new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be
made to ensure it is the same model, if same model is
not available, it will be replaced with a model of equal
or higher specification.
Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this, or any
other, warranty. Further, Courant®hereby reserves
the right to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and
all products. Tampering or opening the product
casing or shell will void this warranty in its entirety.
In addition, this warranty does not apply if the
product has been damaged by accident, abuse,
misuse, or misapplication; has been altered or
modified without the written permission of
Courant®; has been serviced by a non-authorized
repair center of Courant®; has not been properly
maintained or operated according to the operation
manual; has been used for commercial, non-
household purposes; has been cosmetically
damaged; was not imported by Courant®; was not
manufactured according to specification of the
United States market; was damaged due to improper
installation or neglect by the consumer; was
damaged due to improper packaging in shipment to
the Warranty Service Center; was damaged due to
natural disasters; or if the serial number for the
product has been removed or defaced.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO SIX
(6) MONTHS PARTS AND THIRTY (30) DAYS LABOR FROM
THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE OF THIS
PRODUCT.
THESE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES ARE THE SOLE AND
EXCLUSIVE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE SALE AND USE OF THE PRODUCT. NO OTHER

¡Gracias por comprar esta Parrilla sin Humo Courant de calidad! Este electrodoméstico
es muy divertido para intentar combinaciones de nuevas recetas. No requiere de ens-
amblaje. Esta guía cubre los pasos usados para preparar alimentos en su parrilla. Por
favor, lea estas instrucciones antes del primer uso para que de forma segura obtenga los
mejores resultados de su nuevo electrodoméstico.

Antes de usar su parrilla por primera vez:
1. Desempaque su electrodoméstico cuidadosamente. Retire las etiquetas y materi-
ales de empaque. No conecte aún el electrodoméstico.
2. Tenga especial cuidado cuando desempaque. Asegúrese de que no haya daños.
3. Limpie el electrodoméstico (vea la sección Cuidados, Limpieza y Mantenimiento
más tarde en esta guía). No permita que ninguna de las partes entre en contacto
con el agua a excepción de lo que se diga en este manual. Cuando el electro-

Instalando la sonda de control de tem-
peratura desmontable
Este aparato se envía con un control de temperatura
desmontable que debe instalarse antes de ponerlo a
funcionar.
Para instalar el control de temperatura:
1. ¡Asegúrese de que el electrodoméstico está desen-
chufado de la toma de corriente!
2. ¡Asegúrese de que el control está en la posición
OFF!
3. Asegúrese de que la parrilla, el borne (donde se enchufa la sonda) y la sonda están
secos.
4. Inserte la sonda, con cuidado, directamente en la parte lateral de la parrilla.

OPERANDO LA PARRILLA
No enchufe el aparato hasta que llegue el momento de calentarlo e iniciar el
proceso de cocción. No lo deje enchufado si no se está utilizando. ¡Siempre
coloque en la parrilla la sonda de control de temperatura antes de conectar al
tomacorrientes!
1. Coloque la parrilla sobre una superficie seca, nivelada y resistente al calor. Siem-
pre permita una distancia de aproximadamente 20 cm alrededor del electro-
doméstico. Nunca se utilice cerca de cortinas, paredes, debajo de armarios u otros
materiales inflamables. El acabado o la superficie de la encimera pueden verse
afectados por el calor. No coloque el grill sobre ninguna superficie en la que el
calor pueda causar problemas.
2. Asegúrese de que la bandeja de goteo extraíble está correctamente insertada en
la base (véase la página anterior). NO OPERE LA PARRILLA SIN LA BANDEJA DE
GOTEO EN SU LUGAR. La grasa caliente se derramará sobre la superficie inferior,
pudiendo causar daños o lesiones.
3. Llene la bandeja de goteo con agua hasta el nivel máximo indicado en la bandeja.
Esto facilita mucho la limpieza y ayuda a que el grill funcione sin humo.
4. Coloque la plancha de la parrilla en la base. La sección de control puede colo-
carse en cualquiera de los lados.
5. Asegúrese de que la sonda de control de temperatura está desenchufada y ajusta-

CUIDADOS, LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
1. Antes de limpiar la parrilla siempre apague el electrodoméstico y des-
enchúfelo.
2. No continúe con la limpieza hasta que la unidad no se haya cocinado por
completo.
3. Retire el control de temperatura como se indica:
a. Gire la perilla hasta la posición OFF.
b. Permita que la parrilla se enfríe antes de desconectar la soda de control de tem-
peratura.
c. Con la unidad desconectada, con cuidado retire la sonda de control de tem-
peratura del electrodoméstico para evitar cualquier daño a la sonda o al borne.
Jale la sonda horizontalmente (paralela a la superficie de la parrilla).
4. Limpie la parrilla con un paño húmedo y sin pelusa pero no lo moje. No use artículos
abrasivos ni soluciones de limpieza fuertes.
5. Lave la bandeja de goteo en agua jabonosa, séquela bien con una toalla. No use
artículos abrasivos o soluciones de limpieza fuertes. No la coloque en la base de

6. Asegúrese de que el aparato y todas sus partes estén completamente secas.
7. Con el aparato aún desenchufado y apagado, vuelva a colocar la sonda de control
de temperatura:
a. Asegúrese de que el control de temperatura está en OFF.
b. Alinee la sonda de control de temperatura con el borne de la parrilla.
c. Con cuidado, deslice la sonda de control de temperatura insertándola hasta que
llegue a la parrilla.
d. Asegúrese de que la sonda de control de temperatura esté bien colocada en su
lugar y que hace perfecto contacto con la parrilla.

Courant®garantiza este producto contra defectos en
material y obra al comprador original como se especifica
abajo siempre y cuando el producto este registrado en

PARTES – Si se determina que el producto tiene defectos de
fabricación, dentro del periodo de seis (6) meses a partir de
la fecha de compra original, Courant® reparará
o reemplazara las partes del producto sin ningún costo
para usted en Estados Unidos y Canadá.
MANO DE OBRA – Si se determina que el producto
tiene defectos de fabricación, dentro de un periodo de
treinta (30) días a partir de la fecha de compra original,
Courant® reparará o reemplazara las partes del producto
sin ningún costo para usted en Estados Unidos y Canadá.
Después de treinta (30) días será responsabilidad del
comprador.
Costos de embarque hacia y desde el Centro de Servicio
de Garantía son la completa responsabilidad del
consumidor.
Para obtener servicio de garantía por un centro de
servicio autorizado de Courant®, por favor envíenos un
correo electrónico a: [email protected] para
obtener un numero de Autorización de Reparación y
Mantenimiento y para localizar el Centro de Servicio de
Garantía mas cerca de usted. Una vez autorizado, usted
debe enviar el artículo por correo al centro de servicios
autorizado Courant®en sus materiales de empaque de
producto originales o equivalente, para prevenir daño en
tránsito.
Además, si Courant®determina que el producto está
fuera de los términos de Garantía, Courant®retornará
el producto al remitente a cargo del remitente sin ser
reparado o reemplazado, salvo que haya sido autorizado
por el consumidor a dar servicio al producto fuera de
garantía al costo del consumidor. Todos los cargos de
manejo o por reposición por devoluciones y/o reemplazos
no serán reembolsables.

producto a nuestra discreción. El reemplazo puede ser
nuevo o reparado y aunque se hará todo lo posible por
que sea el mismo modelo, si el mismo modelo no
está disponible, será reemplazado con un modelo de la
misma mayor especificación.
Desgaste normal no es cubierto por esta
garantía. Además, Courant®se reserva el derecho a
determinar el “desgaste” en cualquier y todos
los productos. Manipulación o apertura de la cubierta
o tapadera del producto anulará esta garantía
completamente.
La garantía no aplica si el producto ha sido dañado por
accidente, abuso, mal uso, o mala aplicación; ha sido
alterado o modificado sin el permiso expreso de
Courant®; ha recibido servicio por un centro de
reparación no autorizado por Courant®; no ha sido
mantenido u operado de forma apropiada de acuerdo al
manual de operación; ha sido usado para propósitos

fue fabricado de acuerdo a especificación del mercado
