OPE ATION & ECEIVE FUNCTIONS
a. First Steps
Refer o he page 5 o connec your Digi al Se Top Box o your TV. Follow he s eps below when using
your box for he firs ime.
•Connec your Digi al Se -Top-Box wi h your TV.
•Connec your RF wall socke wi h a RF cable wi h he CABLE IN socke of your Se Top Box.
•Swi ch on your TV.
•Change he Inpu in he TV op ions on your TV o Ex ernal.
•Inser your smar card wi h chip face down in o he smar card slo .
•Inser he STBs power cord plug in o your room’s power wall socke .
•Swi ch on he plug of your power wall socke .
•Af er abou 5 seconds your box will s ar wi h he ini ial screen.
b. Initial Installation

search. Simply selec OK and press OK key on your
remo e con rol.

progress bar comple ed a 100 per cen . Please

check again he cable connec ion.

Network Search or Manual Search

•Ne work search is usually he bes op ion and will
find all of he channels available au oma ically.
•Manual search enables he specific search for an
individual channel. This is only sui able if you
wan o include jus one channel in your channel
lis and you know he channel and frequency.

•Press he INFO(red) key while you wa ching or
lis ening o a channel o ge he channel
informa ion banner wi h more informa ion like
curren ime, even name, curren running and
following even , curren even progress and as

you use he Exi key a any ime.
•Press he FAV key o open your favouri e lis and
press again o oggle o your o her favouri e lis s.

Programme Guide (EPG). When you press he EPG
key you will en er he EPG Lis and you can
naviga e he channel lis , he day of in eres and

EPG key again or press he EXIT key.

g. Creating and Editing Favourite Lists
Y
ou may wish o simplify access o your preferred
channels by crea ing your own favouri e lis s. You can do
his by selec ing he main menu, where you can edi and
crea e your own favouri e lis s as follows:
•Press he LIST key o open he lis con aining all
channels.
•You can as well press he OK key o open curren
ac ive channel lis .

h. Parental Control

Con rol’ option from main menu and en er your
PASSWORD. (The defaul PASSWORD is se o “0000” for
all new boxes)
•Ac iva e ‘Channel Lock’ o pro ec individual
channels from unau horized access.
When his op ion is ac iva ed, you can selec he
channels you wan o pro ec ‘Lock By Channel’
menu.
Locked channels require a Password en ry before
Audio and Video is decoded.
•Use he op ion ‘Change Password’ o specify an
individual PASSWORD.
i. PVR Functionality
Your receiver is prepared for PVR func ionali y (Personal Video Recording) which allows you o record
and playback of even s via your mobile hard disk drive.
Please con ac your Opera or o ge informed abou how o ac iva e your PVR func ionali y on your
device!
Once your Se -Top-Box has PVR func ionali y ac iva ed you can use following func ionali y:
•Press he PO TAL (blue) key o access he file browser of recorded or available mul imedia files
on your connec ed hard disk drive.
•Press he PLAY ( ) key o play a selec ed file from he file browser.
•Press he PLAY ( ) key while wa ching a programme o s ar Timeshif and o con inue wa ching
la er by pressing he key again.
•Press he EC ( ) key o s ar an ins an recording while wa ching a programme.
•Press he FWD ( ) key o move fas er forward while playing a programme or mul imedia file.
•Press he EW ( ) key o move fas back while playing a recorded programme.
•Press he GOTO ( ) key for fas jumping forward in he recorded programme.
•Press the STOP ( ) key o s op a playback or a recording.

DO’s and DON’Ts
•Do no drop, knock or shake he STB or he remo e. Rough handling can cause damage o he
delica e elec ronic componen s.
•Do no allow any unau horized personnel o a emp o repair or service he STB or he remo e
con rol. Any such ampering wi h he devices may resul in serious malfunc ioning.
•Do no use harsh chemicals or de ergen s o clean he STB. Wipe i wi h a sof and dry clo h.
•Do no hrow/ drop your STB as you migh damage i .
•Do no allow any kind of liquid o come in con ac wi h he STB.
•Please refer o he roubleshoo ing ips o resolve any problems wi h he STB.
•Only IN Digi al rained personnel are au horized o conduc repairs. Noncompliance can resul in
he warran y being null and void.
•Please make sure ha he air ven s of he box are no covered by any hing o avoid empera ure
jam in he device. We recommend abou 40 cm free space on op of he STB and a hard surface
he box is s anding on so he housing fee can keep dis ance from he box o he surface he box is
placed on.

subscribed o. Improper handling of he STB/ he remo e or negligence can resul in damage causing
malfunc ion of he devices.

•Do no expose your STB or remo e con rol o direc sunligh or hea .
•Keep your STB and remo e in dry surroundings. Mois ure may cause undue corrosion of he

Please do not attempt to open the STB or the remote. Careless handling of the STB or remote may
damage it and cause the warranty to be null and void.
