FUNKTIONSWEISE
ALLGEMEIN
High-End- und HiFi-Anlagen sind eine Kombination hochpräziser und filigraner Geräte. Perfekt aufeinander
abgestimmt, vermögen sie Musik in hervorragender Qualität wiederzugeben. Damit alle Komponenten stö-
rungsfrei arbeiten können, müssen sie wie empfindliche Messinstrumente möglichst frei von Vibrationen und
Erschütterungen gehalten werden. Vibrationen entstehen auf verschiedene Arten und können durch Körper-
oder Luftschall übertragen werden.
KÖRPERSCHALL
Hiermit sind die Vibrationen gemeint, welche ein Körper, z. B. das Gehäuse eines Gerätes, aufweist. Ein gutes
Beispiel hierfür ist eine Lautsprecherbox: Die Membranen der Box werden gezielt zum Schwingen angeregt.
Da sie mit dem Gehäuse der Box mechanisch verbunden sind, übertragen sich die Schwingungen auch auf das
Boxengehäuse. Je nach Gewicht und Bedämpfung des Gehäuses sind diese Schwingungen mehr oder weniger
stark ausgeprägt. Sie übertragen sich auch auf die Stellfläche, also auf den Fußboden. Hier passieren nun zwei
Dinge: Zum einen gibt der Fußboden einen Teil der Energie des Körperschalls in Form von Luftschall ab und
das typische Dröhnen entsteht, zum anderen wird der Körperschall oft auch zum HiFi-Rack und damit zu den
HiFi-Geräten weiter übertragen. Zu den Effekten in den Geräten später mehr.
LUFTSCHALL
Dies sind die Schwingungen, welche über die Luft übertragen werden und für den Menschen in der Regel hör-
bar sind (Infra- und Ultraschall ausgenommen). Der Luftschall regt aber nicht nur das Trommelfell im Ohr an,
sondern auch alle anderen Flächen, die er erreicht. Auf diesem Wege werden u. a. auch die HiFi-Komponenten
und deren Stellflächen beeinflusst, insbesondere, wenn sie nicht sehr solide sind. Da es der primäre Zweck
einer HiFi-Anlage ist, Schall zu erzeugen, bleibt ein Anregen der Geräte durch den selbst erzeugten Luftschall
nicht aus.
ZUSAMMENGEFASST
Die Kombination aus Luft- und Körperschall regt also neben den Gläsern im Schrank und Exponaten in den
Vitrinen auch alle Komponenten der HiFi-Kette selbst mechanisch zum Schwingen an. Untersuchungen zeigen,
dass der Klang der Komponenten unter der Einwirkung von Vibrationen beeinflusst wird. Ein Grund dafür sind
z. B. Kapazitätswerte von Bauteilen zueinander, welche sich durch die Vibrationen permanent ändern.
ABHILFE
Für eine solide Klangbasis ohne Vibrationen sorgen diese Referenz Hightech Gel Absorber von in-akustik. Sie
haben in ihrem Kern ein spezielles Gel, welches in der Lage ist, Vibrationsenergie aufzunehmen, also zu absor-
bieren. So entkoppeln sie Lautsprecher und Geräte von ihrer Stellfläche. Nun könnte man sagen, das Entkop-
peln der Lautsprecher reicht ja aus. Aber wie oben beschrieben, gibt es da noch den Luftschall, der wiederum
die Stellflächen der Geräte anregt. Also ist es durchaus sinnvoll, auch die Geräte von ihren Stellflächen zu
entkoppeln. Gleiches gilt natürlich für Geräte wie z. B. CD-Player oder Festplatten etc., die selber mechanische
Schwingungen erzeugen, welche möglichst von anderen Komponenten fern gehalten werden sollen.
KLASSE STATT MASSE
Wo wir schon beim Thema sind: Das Gewicht der Geräte beeinflusst die Wirkung der Absorber bzw. des absor-
bierenden Materials. Insbesondere der Dämpfungsgrad in Abhängigkeit von der Frequenz und die Eigenreso-
nanzen verschiebt sich. Deshalb ist es sinnvoll, die Absorber auf das Gewicht der jeweiligen Komponente ab-
zustimmen. Um für die verschiedenen Gewichtsklassen die perfekte Mischung des Absorber-Gels zu finden, hat
in-akustik entsprechende Messungen durchgeführt. Hierzu wurden die Gelmischungen auf einer Erregerplatte
platziert und mit unterschiedlichen Massen (Gewichten) belastet. Die Erregerplatte wurde mit einem Rauschsi-
gnal (rosa Rauschen) zum Schwingen gebracht. Mit einem Beschleunigungssensor wurden die Vibrationen der
Erregerplatte und im Vergleich dazu die Vibrationen an der Masse gemessen. Der Verdacht lag nahe, dass man

für leichte Geräte weichere und für schwerere Geräte härtere Gelmischungen verwenden sollte. Das Ergebnis
war jedoch genau so erstaunlich wie – im Nachhinein – logisch. Bedingt durch die unterschiedlichen bedämpf-
ten Feder-Masse-Prinzipien, welche sich aus den Kombination der Gelmischungen und Gewichten ergeben,
erhält man Überschneidungen und Verschiebungen, wie aus der Tabelle mit den empfohlenen Pad-Typen und
Gewichtsklassen sowie der Grafik hervorgeht.
FEINTUNING
Damit Sie nun Ihre Komponenten optimal aufstellen und entkoppeln können sind in diesem Set unterschied-
liche Gel-Pads enthalten. In der Tabelle finden Sie die Zuordnung zu den jeweiligen Gewichtsklassen. Hierbei
handelt es sich um Empfehlungen die wir aufgrund unserer Messungen aussprechen. Die Grafik zeigt den
homogenen Dämpfungsverlauf der verschiedenen Gel Pads und den entsprechenden Gewichtsklassen. Es ist
Ihnen natürlich freigestellt andere Kombinationen zu testen und die für Sie bzw. für Ihre individuelle HiFi Kette
beste Lösung herauszufinden.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Achten Sie bei der Installation der Absorber darauf, dass die Gel-Pads nicht durch spitze Gegenstände
wie z.B. Spikes verletzt werden.Verletzte Pads sehen unschön aus, können aber weiter verwendet wer-
den.
• Die Stellflächen und die Geräte bzw. Lautsprecherunterseiten müssen glatt und frei von Schmutz sein.
• Prüfen Sie z.B. bei Standlautsprechern nach der Installation ob diese noch sicher stehen ober ob sie
durch die Absorber leicht kippen können.
• Nehmen Sie sich bei schweren Geräten oder Lautsprechern eine Person zur Hilfe.
MONTAGE
1. Wählen Sie die passenden High Tech Gel-Pads gemäß der Tabelle aus. Die Pads können auch nach eige-
nen Wünschen und Erfahrungen variiert werden.
2. Legen Sie die Gel-Pads mit der flachen Seite in die Unterteile ein. Der Rand der Gel-Pads muss vollstän-
dig unter dem Kragen der Unterteile liegen.
3. Wenn die Oberteile dauerhaft mit dem Gerät bzw. Lautsprecher verbunden werden sollen, versehen Sie

sie mit den beiliegenden Klebepads. Ansonsten verwenden Sie die Filz Pads um Kratzer zu vermeiden.
4. Legen Sie die Oberteile auf die Unterteile mit den Gel-Pads (Sandwich). Die Oberteile bleiben lose auf
den Unterteilen liegen. Der Rand an den Oberteilen verhindert ein Verrutschen der Gel Pads
5. Positionieren Sie das Gerät oder den Lautsprecher an dem endgültigen Aufstellungsort.
6. Heben Sie das Gerät bzw. den Lautsprecher wechselseitig an um die Absorber unter zu stellen.
7. Wenn Sie die Oberteile mit Klebepads versehen haben um sie dauerhaft mit dem Gerät bzw. dem Laut-
sprecher zu verbinden, ziehen Sie vorher die Schutzfolie ab.
ACHTUNG: Die Klebepads haben eine hohe Klebekraft und können nur schwer wieder entfernt werden!
Achten Sie auch deshalb auf eine genaue Positionierung! Die Klebepads sind nur einmal verwendbar.

Die Messungen sind unter simulierten Bedingungen entstanden und die Ergebnisse können unter realen Bedin-
gungen abweichen. Bei den in der Tabelle angegebenen Gewichtsklassen handelt es sich um Empfehlungen.
Die Eignung der Absorber muss auch unter Berücksichtigung der Standfestigkeit der Komponenten geprüft
werden, um z.B. dem möglichen Umkippen von Lautsprecherboxen vorzubeugen.

FUNCTION
GENERAL
High-end and hi-fi systems are a combination of highly precise and delicate devices. Perfectly attuned to each
other, they allow music to be played back in outstanding quality. So that all components can work without
interference, just like sensitive measuring equipment they need to be kept free of vibrations and shocks as
far as possible. Vibrations are caused in different ways and they can be transmitted by structure-borne and
airborne noise.
STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND
This means vibrations that are present on a structure, e.g. the housing of a device. A good example of this is
the loudspeaker box. The membranes of the speakers are set vibrating in a certain manner. As they are me-
chanically connected to the housing of the loudspeaker, they transfer vibrations to the housing. The scale of
these vibrations depends on the weight and the insulation of the housing.They are transferred to the area on
which they are standing, i.e. the floor. Two things now occur: On the one hand the floor gives off a part of the
structure-borne energy as airborne sound and this results in the typical droning noise; on the other hand the
structure-borne noise is often transferred to the hi-fi rack and therefore to the hi-fi devices. We will find out
more on the effects on the devices later.
AIRBORNE NOISE
This means vibrations that are transferred through the air and that usually can be heard by humans (with the
exceptions of infrasound and ultrasound). Airborne noise not only excites the eardrum but also acts on all
other surfaces it reaches. This also affects the hi-fi components and the surfaces on which they are standing,
particularly if they are not very solid.As the primary purpose of a hi-fi system is to create sound, shaking of the
devices due to the sound they are producing is a natural by-product.
SUMMARY
The combination of airborne and structure-borne noise not only causes the glasses in the cupboard and exhi-
bits in display cases to vibrate mechanically but also the components of the hi-fi system itself. Experiments
have shown that the sound of the components is affected by the effects of vibrations. One reason for this is
the capacity values of components in relation to each other that change continuously due to the vibrations.
HELP!
The Reference Hightech Gel Absorbers from in-akustik form a solid sound basis that is available as a combina-
tion set for all weight classes. The Reference Hightech Gel Absorbers from in-akustik have a special gel at their
core that can take up or absorb vibration energy. They decouple loudspeakers and devices from the surface on
which they are standing.You could say that it is sufficient to decouple the loudspeakers. But, as described abo-
ve, there is still airborne noise that also acts on the surface on which the devices are standing. So it therefore
makes sense to decouple all of the devices from the surfaces on which they are standing. The same applies to
devices such as CD players or hard drives that produce mechanical vibrations themselves that need to be kept
away from other components as far as this is possible.
QUALITY NOT QUANTITY
While we are on the subject:The weight of the devices influences the effectiveness of the absorbers or the ab-
sorbent material. In particular the damping ratio alters depending on the frequency and the self-resonance.Th-
erefore it makes sense to adjust the absorber to the weight of the respective component. in-akustik performed
various measurements in order to find the perfect mix for the absorber gels for the different weight classes.This
involved placing gel mixtures on an agitation plate and then different masses (weights) were placed onto it.
The agitation plate was caused to vibrate with a noise signal (pink noise). An acceleration sensor measured the
vibrations of the agitation plate and the vibrations in comparison with the vibrations present at the mass. The
suspicion was that softer gel mixtures should be used for lighter devices and harder ones for heavy devices.The

result was as astounding as it was (in retrospect) logical. Due to the differently damped spring-mass principles
that result from the combination of gel mixtures and weights, overlaps and shifts occur as can be seen in the
table with the recommended pad types and weight classes, as well as also in the graph.
FINE TUNING
In order to set up components optimally and decouple them, different gel pads are included in this set. In the
table you can find the assignment to the respective weight classes. The values are recommendations based on
measurements made by in-akustik. The graph shows the homogeneous attenuation curve of the different gel
pads and the corresponding weight classes. Of course, other combinations can be tested in order to find the
best solution for the user or the best solution for the individual hi-fi system.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• When installing the absorbers take care that the gel pads are not damaged by sharp and pointed objects
such as spikes. Damaged pads are not attractive but can nevertheless still be used.
• The surfaces and the devices or the bottom of the loudspeakers must be smooth and free of dirt.
• With standing loudspeakers, for example, after installation check whether they cannot tip over easily due
to the absorbers.
• With heavy devices or loudspeakers, have another person help you
INSTALLATION
1. Select the suitable HIGH TECH gel pads in accordance with the specifications in the table. The pads can
be used variably depending on your personal wishes and experiences.
2. Place the gel pads with their flat side into the holding brackets. The edge of the gel pads must lie com-
pletely under the collar of the holding brackets
3. If the holding brackets are to be permanently connected to the device or loudspeaker, use the enclosed

adhesive pads for this. Otherwise use felt pads to prevent scratches.
4. Position the device or the loudspeaker at its final installation location.
5. Life the device or the loudspeaker up at alternate sides to place the absorbers underneath it.
6. If you have fitted adhesive pads to the brackets, to connect them permanently with the device or the
loudspeaker, take off the protective film first.
CAUTION: The adhesive pads are highly adhesive and can only be removed again with difficulty.
Make sure they are accurately positioned. The adhesive pads can only be used once.

FONCTIONNEMENT
INTRODUCTION
Les chaînes haute-fidélité et High-End se composent de l’association d‘appareils hautement précis et sensibles
qui, parfaitement harmonisés, restitueront le son dans une qualité exceptionnelle. Protégés des chocs ou des
vibrations comme des instruments de mesure sensibles, ces éléments fonctionnent ainsi sans interférences.
Divers facteurs occasionnent les vibrations, transmises par les bruits solidiens ou aériens.
BRUIT SOLIDIEN
Ce sont les vibrations produites par un corps, le boîtier d’un appareil par exemple. Les enceintes de haut-par-
leurs sont l’exemple-type en la matière car leurs membranes reçoivent intentionnellement des signaux pour
vibrer. Les vibrations que les membranes transmettent mécaniquement au boîtier sont – en fonction du poids
et de l’amortissement de celui-ci – d’une intensité variable. Elles atteignent également la surface de pose et
par conséquent le sol. Nous sommes alors en présence d’un double phénomène : en premier lieu le sol trans-
forme une partie de l’énergie du bruit solidien en bruit aérien à l’origine du bourdonnement caractéristique, le
bruit solidien parasitant simultanément mobilier et appareils haute-fidélité. Nous reviendrons plus loin sur les
conséquences sur ces derniers.
BRUIT AÉRIEN
Ce sont les vibrations dont l’air est le vecteur, généralement audibles par l’oreille humaine (à l’exception des
infrasons et ultrasons). Le bruit aérien stimule le tympan mais aussi toutes les autres zones qu’il atteint. Les
composants hi-fi et leurs surfaces de pose sont donc également concernés, surtout s’ils manquent de stabilité.
La première fonction d‘une chaîne haute-fidélité étant de produire du son, une sollicitation des appareils par
leur propre bruit solidien est inévitable.
SOMMAIRE
La superposition des bruits aérien et solidien fait trembler les verres de l’armoire, les bibelots de la vitrine
mais aussi tous les composants de la chaîne hi-fi de manière mécanique. Des études montrent que le son des
composants subit l’influence des vibrations. Cela s’explique par exemple par le fait que les valeurs de capacité
des éléments les uns par rapport aux autres changent constamment en raison des vibrations.
SOLUTIONNEMENT
Les absorbeurs Referenz fournissent une solution ; leurs noyaux contiennent un mélange de gel spécial qui
emmagasine, c’est-à-dire absorbe l‘énergie vibratoire. Cela découple enceintes et appareils de leur surface de
pose. On serait tenté de croire que le découplage des enceintes est suffisant mais comme nous l’avons évoqué
plus haut, le bruit aérien sollicite également les surfaces de pose des appareils. Pour cela nous recommandons
vivement de découpler ces derniers. Cela concerne également les lecteurs de CD ou disques durs dont les
vibrations mécaniques
LA CLASSE, PAS LA MASSE
Tant que nous en sommes à parler de poids, n‘oublions pas son influence sur l‘effet des absorbeurs ou du
matériau absorbant. Le degré d‘amortissement varie en particulier en fonction de la fréquence et de l‘autoréso-
nance. L‘ajustement des absorbeurs au poids des éléments s‘avère ainsi tout à fait judicieux. in-akustik a pro-
cédé aux mesures suivantes afin de définir la composition parfaite de gel d‘absorption pour chaque classe de
poids. Les mélanges de gel placés sur des panneaux d‘excitation subissent différentes contraintes de masse (de
charge). Un signal de bruit (dit de « bruit rose ») fait vibrer la plaque d‘excitation. Un capteur d‘accélération
mesure les vibrations de la plaque d‘excitation par comparaison avec celles de la masse. L‘hypothèse de départ
était qu‘un mélange de gel souple conviendrait aux appareils légers et un mélange plus dur serait parfait pour
les appareils lourds. Les résultats furent cependant tout aussi surprenants que logiques. A partir de principes
masse-ressort-masse résultant de l‘association des mélanges de gel et des poids, nous obtenons croisements

et écarts indiqués sur le tableau des classes de poids et types de disques recommandés.
SYNTONISATION PRÉCISE
Ce kit comprend différents disques de gel afin d‘optimiser l‘installation et le découplage de vos éléments. Le
tableau permet une attribution en fonction des catégories de poids. Ces recommandations se basent sur nos
mesures. Cette courbe correspond à un amortissement homogène des différents disques de gel et des différen-
tes catégories de poids. Bien sûr toutes les possibilités vous sont offertes d‘essayer d‘autres formules comme
de personnaliser la configuration qui optimisera votre chaîne haute-fidélité.

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
• Veillez en installant les absorbeurs à ce que les objets contondants comme les pointes n’endommagent
pas les disques de gel ; si c’est le cas les conséquences ne seront qu’esthétiques car ils resteront utilisa-
bles.
• Veillez à ce que surfaces d’appui, appareils et partie inférieure des enceintes soient parfaitement prop-
res.
• Les absorbeurs peuvent faire basculer légèrement les hauts-parleurs ; contrôlez la stabilité de ces der-
niers après installation.
• Faites-vous assister d’une autre personne si les enceintes ou les appareils sont particulièrement lourds.
MONTAGE
1. Choisissez les disques de gel high-tech appropriés à l‘aide du tableau ; des variations en fonction de
l‘expérience et des exigences sont possibles.
2. Posez les disques au gel, la partie plate dans les supports, le bord intégralement sous le col des supports.
3. Collez les supports avec les languettes s‘ils doivent rester en contact permanent avec l’appareil ou les
hauts-parleurs. Les disques de feutre préviennent les rayures.

4. Positionnez l’appareil ou le haut-parleur sur son emplacement définitif.
5. Soulevez l’appareil ou le haut-parleur mutuellement afin de placer les absorbeurs sous ce premier.
6. Retirez le film protecteur des languettes de collage si vous souhaitez joindre les supports durablement à
l’appareil ou au haut-parleur.
ATTENTION : les languettes de collage seront particulièrement difficiles à retirer car leur pouvoir adhésif
est élevé. Positionnez-les précisément. Les languettes de collage ne sont pas réutilisables.

Les mesures prises en condition de simulation peuvent différer des situations réelles. Les catégories de poids
du tableau sont des recommandations. Contrôler l‘adéquation des absorbeurs en fonction de la stabilité des
éléments est également indispensable afin de prévenir tout basculement des enceintes, par exemple.
