Notice d'utilisation
Ce parafoudre est conçu pour un environnement informatique multimedia.
Ses 5 prises françaises permettent d’alimenter et protéger votre ordinateur, son écran, kit d’enceintes,
imprimante et box internet par exemple, etc.
Pour une protection optimale des équipements reliés à internet, il suffit d’utiliser le double connecteur RJ 45 :
en cas de foudre ou surtension sur la ligne téléphonique ou réseau, la fonction parasurtension de la S5 LAN
s’active et protège votre matériel connecté.
Consignes de sécurité
Veuillez lire toutes les instructions avant d’installer la S5 LAN.
Elle doit être installée uniquement à l’intérieur dans un endroit protégé où la température et l’humidité
n’excèdent pas les limites précisées dans la section des caractéristiques techniques.
En complément de ce parasurtenseur de type 3, la norme NFC 15-100 impose en France l’installation d’un
parafoudre modulaire de type 2 (ou 1) à l’origine de votre installation électrique dans les départements où le
niveau de kéraunique est supérieur à 25 (nombre de jours d’orage par an).

Installation
Branchez la S5 LAN à une prise murale bipolaire avec prise à terre (2P + T –10 A).
Basculez l’interrupteur général sur la position « ON ».
Branchez vos appareils à protéger sur les 5 prises de la S5 LAN
La S5 LAN est équipée d’une protection pour la ligne téléphone/fax/modem grâce à ses deux
connecteurs RJ11/45. Branchez l’arrivée de la ligne sur une prise, et utilisez un câble pour la liaison
de l’autre prise au téléphone/fax/modem.
En cas de problème, ne démontez par la prise S5 LAN, il n’y a pas de pièce à l’intérieur qui puisse
être réparée. Merci de contacter le Service Après-Vente (Hotline).
Fonctionnement et légendes du schéma
Interrupteur marche / arrêt
L’interrupteur principal de la S5 LAN permet la mise sous tension et l’arrêt des 5 prises
Témoin de protection
Voyant vert « Protected» allumé : les équipements sont protégés contre les surtensions et la foudre.
Voyant vert «Protected»éteint: la protection est hors service.
Témoin de liaison à la terre
Voyant rouge «Grounded »allumé :lapriseestreliéeàla terre.
Voyant rouge « Grounded » éteint : la prise n’est pas reliée à la terre.
Protection de surcharge
Lorsque la consommation des appareils raccordés dépasse la valeur autorisée, le disjoncteur thermique
s’ouvre pour protéger la S5 LAN.
Pour remettre en service, réduisez la puissance branchée et enclenchez le disjoncteur.
Prises protégées
Les prises sont utilisées pour le raccordement des appareils tels que télévision, haut-parleurs, graveur,
console, lampe de bureau… Elles sont commandées par l’interrupteur marche/arrêt.
Protection des équipements reliés à Internet
La S5 LAN est équipée d’une protection contre les surtensions pour les équipements reliés à internet grâce
à ses deux connecteurs RJ 45 (Adaptateur RJ11 amovible).

User Guide
This surge protector is designed for a multimedia computer environment.
Its 5 French outlets will power and protect your computer, its screen, speaker kit, printer and internet modem
for example.
For maximum protection of hardware connected to the internet, just use the dual RJ 45 connector: in the
event of lightning or overvoltage on the network or telephone line, the S5 LAN surge suppressor function
starts and protects connected hardware.
Safety instructions
Please read all the instructions before setting up the S5 LAN.
It must be installed indoors in a safe location where the temperature and humidity do not exceed the limits
stipulated in the specifications section.
In addition to this type 3 surge suppressor, the NFC 15-100 standard in France requires the installation of a
type 2 (or 1) modular surge protector at the origin of your electrical system in the departments where the
lightning intensity is greater than 25 (number of thunderstorm days per year).

Installation
Connect the S5 LAN into a grounded 2-pin wall outlet (2P + E - 10 A).
Turn the master power switch to the "ON" position.
Plug your equipment to be protect into the five outlets of the S5 LAN.
The S5 LAN, with its two RJ 11/45, is equipped to protect the phone/fax/modem line. Plug the line
input into one socket and use another cable for the other socket connection to the
telephone/fax/modem.
If there is a problem, do not disassemble the S5 LAN, there are no reparable parts inside. Please
contact the After-Sales Service (Hotline).
Operation and legends of the scheme
On/off switch
The S5 LAN main switch turns the power to 5 outlets on and off.
Protection indicator
Green "Protected" light on: the equipment is protected against overvoltage and lightning.
Green "Protected" light off: no protection.
Grounding indicator
Red "Grounded" light on: the outlet is grounded.
Red "Grounded" off: the outlet is not grounded.
Overload protection
When the consumption of connected equipment exceeds the allowable value, the circuit breaker opens to
protect the S5 LAN.
To reactivate, reduce the connected power and engage the circuit breaker.
Protected outlets
Outlets are used to connect devices such as television, speakers, burner, console, desk lamp, etc. They are
controlled by the on/off switch.
Protection of equipment connected to the Internet
The S5 LAN, with its two RJ 45 ports, protects hardware connected to the Internet against overvoltage (RJ11
removable adaptor).

Gebruikshandleiding
Deze overspanningsbeveiliging is ontworpen voor een multimediacomputeromgeving.
De 5 stopcontacten voeden en beschermen bijvoorbeeld uw computer, het scherm, de luidsprekerset, printer
en internetmodem.
Gebruik gewoon de dubbele RJ 45 aansluiting voor maximale bescherming van op internet aangesloten
hardware: bij bliksem of overspanning op het netwerk of op d telefoonlijn, start de S5 LAN
overspanningsbeveiligingsfunctie en beschermt de aangesloten hardware.
Veiligheidsinstructies
Lees alle instructies voor het in gebruik nemen van de S5 LAN.
Het toestel moet onmiddellijk in een beschermde omgeving worden geplaatst waar temperatuur en
vochtigheid de technische specificaties in de bijlage niet overschrijden.
In aanvulling op deze overspanningsbeveiliging van het type 3, vereist de Franse NFC 15-100 norm het
installeren van een type 2 (of 1) modulaire overspanningsbeveiliging bij de binnenkomst van uw elektrische
installatie in provincies waar de bliksemintensiteit groter is dan 25 (aantal dagen met onweersbuien per jaar).

Installeren
Sluit de S5 LAN aan op een geaard stopcontact met 2 pennen (2P + E - 10 A).
Zet de hoofdvoedingsschakelaar in de stand "AAN".
Sluit de stekkers van de te beschermen apparatuur aan op de stopcontacten van de
S5 LAN.
De S5 LAN, met de twee RJ11/45 aansluitingen is uitgerust voor het beschermen van de
telefoon/fax/modemlijn. Sluit de lijningang aan op een van de aansluitingen en gebruik een andere
kabel voor het aansluiten op de andere aansluiting naar de telefoon/fax/modem.
Is er een probleem, demonteer de S5 LAN dan niet, deze bevat geen herstelbare onderdelen. Neem
contact op het de aftersales service (hotline).
Werking en legenda van het schema
Aan/uit-schakelaar
De hoofdschakelaar van de S5 LAN schakelt de voeding naar de 5 stopcontacten aan en uit.
Beveiligingscontrolelampje
Groen lampje "Beveiliging" aan: de apparatuur is beveiligd tegen overspanning en bliksem.
Groen lampje "Beveiliging" uit: geen beveiliging.
Controlelampje aarding
Rood lampje "Geaard" aan: het stopcontact is geaard.
Rood lampje "Geaard" uit: het stopcontact is niet geaard.
Overbelastingsbeveiliging
Wanneer het verbruik van de gekoppelde apparatuur de toegestane waarde overschrijdt, opent de
stroomonderbreker om de S5 LAN te beschermen.
Voor het heractiveren het aangesloten vermogen verlagen en de stroomonderbreker inschakelen.
Beveiligde stopcontacten
De stopcontacten worden gebruikt voor het aansluiten van apparaten, zoals televisies, luidsprekers,
branders, consoles, bureaulampen, etc. Deze worden via de aan/uit-schakelaar geschakeld.
Bescherming van op internet aangesloten apparatuur
De S5 LAN, met twee RJ 45 aansluitingen, beschermt hardware die is aangesloten op internet tegen
overspanning (Verwijderbare RJ11-adapter).

Tato přepěťová ochrana je určena pro prostředí multimediálního počítače.
Jejích 5 standardních síťových zásuvek bude napájet a chránit například váš počítač, jeho monitor, sadu
reproduktorů, tiskárnu a internetový modem.
Pro maximální ochranu hardwaru připojeného k internetu použijte dvojitý konektor RJ45. V případě
blesku nebo přepětí v síti nebo na telefonní lince začne přepěťová ochrana S5 LAN fungovat a
ochrání připojený hardware.
Bezpečnostní pokyny
Před instalací S5 LAN si prosím přečtěte všechny pokyny.
Přepěťová ochrana smí být nainstalována pouze uvnitř na bezpečném místě, kde teplota ani vlhkost
nepřekračují limitní hodnoty definované v oddílu specifikací.
Kromě této přepěťové ochrany typu 3 vyžaduje ve Francii norma NFC 15-100 instalaci modulární přepěťové
ochrany typu 2 (nebo 1) na vstupu vaší elektrické soustavy v okresech, kde je průměrná bouřková aktivita
vyšší než 25 (počet bouřkových dnů za rok).

Instalace
Ochranu S5 LAN připojte do uzemněné dvoupólové zásuvky (2 fáze + zem - 10 A).
Přepněte hlavní vypínač do polohy „ON“.
Přístroje, které chcete chránit, zapojte do pěti zásuvek na S5 LAN.
S5 LAN je svými dvěma porty RJ11/45 vybavena na ochranu telefonní/faxové linky nebo modemu.
Vstup připojte do jedné zásuvky a k propojení druhé zásuvky s telefonem/faxem/modemem použijte
další kabel.
Pokud nastane nějaký problém, S5 LAN nerozebírejte, uvnitř nejsou žádné díly které by bylo
možné opravit. Obraťte se na servis (horkou linku).

On/Off vypínač
Hlavní vypínač S5 LAN zapíná a vypíná napájení 5 zásuvek.
Kontrolka ochrany
Zelená kontrolka „Protected (Chráněno)“ svítí: zařízení je chráněno proti přepětí a úderu blesku.

Ochrana proti přetížení
Jakmile odběr připojených spotřebičů překročí dovolenou hodnotu, jistič se rozepne, aby byla ochrana
S5 LAN chráněna.
Po snížení zátěže obnovíte činnost zapnutím jističe.
Chráněné zásuvky
Zásuvky se používají pro připojení přístrojů, jako například televizoru, reproduktorů, vypalovačky, herní
konzoly, stolní lampy apod.
Ochrana zařízení připojených k internetu
S5 LAN se dvěma porty RJ45 chrání hardware připojený k internetu proti přepětí (RJ11 vyjímatelný adapter).
