Caution on Weather Resistance: This radio is designed so that it can be
used with slight exposureto rain, snow, and other forms of moisture, but there
are several instances requiring caution.
• Do not allow your radio to come in contact with large amounts of water.
• Do not immerse your radio in water.
If water should get on your radio or if it should fall into water, take it out
immediately and wipe it off with a dry cloth. The interior of the battery
compartment has no weather resistance. The battery may corrode, so wipe
out the interior of the battery compartment as follows:
• Open or close the battery compartment with dry hands in a place without
exposure to any water.
• Wipe off the battery and the inside of the battery compartment. Give
special attention to the contacts so that no water remains on them.

Installing the batteries
To install batteries:
1Remove the battery door located on the back of your radio.
2Insert 2 AAA batteries, making sure that the + and – on the batteries
match the + and – inside the battery compartment.
3Replace the battery door.

Low battery alert
If the battery charge is too low, parts of the LCD display flash. Press any
button to turn off the power and replace batteries.
An exhausted battery may leak and damage your radio or cause weak,
distorted or whistling reception. Replace batteries when required. When you
will not use your radio for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
• Do not attempt to recharge, short-circuit, disassemble, heat, or throw the
batteries into a fire.
• Do not mix battery types (e.g. alkaline with zinc carbonates).
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Weak batteries can leak and severely damage the arm band radio.
• Dispose of batteries according to local environmental laws.
Using the arm strap
To connect the arm band to your radio:
1Insert the arm strap through the hooks of the clip.
2Press down one end of the Velcro®piece to secure it in place.
3Insert the clip into the back of your radio, then slide the clip to lock it in
place.
To release the arm band from your radio:
1Press the lock.
2Slide the clip in to release the arm band.

To secure your radio to your arm:
1Put your arm between your radio and the strap and adjust the length of
the strap.
2Press down on the Velcro piece to secure in place.
To use the belt clip:
1Insert the belt clip into the back of your radio, then slide the clip to lock it
in place.
2Secure your radio to your belt by holding your radio (with belt clip
attached), then slide the belt clip onto your belt.
3To release the belt clip, press the center lock, then slide the clip off of
your radio.
Note: The belt clip can also be used to attachyour radio tothe strap of a
handbag or tote.

HOLD SWITCH
Switch to HOLD position to lock the buttons. A appears when the hold
function is turned on. Switch to the to unlock the buttons.
Operating your radio
Note: Make sure to turn the HOLD switch to position before you try to
operate your radio.
To operate your radio
1Press and hold the band button to turn on.
2Short press band button to select AM or FM.
3To turn off, press and hold band button.
Note: Your earphone soft wire works as the antenna for FM reception.
You may need to extend the wire to obtain the best reception.
To listen to your radio:
1Press the TUN UP or TUN DN button for less than one second to go to
the next radio station.
2Press and hold the TUN UP or TUN DN button to scan for the next radio
station with clear reception.
3Press the VOL + or VOL – button to adjust the volume.
Note: If your radio is receiving a stereo broadcast, (ST) appears on the
display.
To manually store stations:
1Select the AM or FM band.
2Press the TUN UP or TUN DN button to select the radio station you
want.
3Quick press and release the MEM button. The M icon on the LCD
flashes.
4Press TUN UP or TUN DN button to assign a preset number to the
station.
5Press the MEM button again to store the station as a preset.
6Repeat steps 1 to 5 to store additional stations.

Note: Autostore can automatically store 20 FM and 10 AM radio stations
into preset numbers (erasing any previous preset stations).
To use Autostore:
1Select the AM or FM band.
2Press and hold the MEM button. The M symbol on the LCDflashes. Your
radio scans and stores the strongest stations into presetnumbers.When
the Autostore operation completes, your radio tunes to the first preset
number.
3If you want to stop the Autostore operation, press any button.
To recall any preset station within the selected band:
1Press the PRESET button. The station number flashes.
2Press the TUN UP or TUN DN button to change to a different stored
station.

Insignia Products warrants to you, the original purchaser of this Product, that
this product shall be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of
90 days from the date of purchase as follows:

defective, Insignia will repair or replace the Product, at its option at no
charge, or pay the labor charges to any Insignia authorized service

Remarques sur le casque d’écoute
• Ne pas utiliser le casque d’écoute pendant la conduite, en faisant de la

nombreux endroits. Utiliser le casque d’écoute à volume élevé pendant la

n’est pas étanche. La pile peut se corroder, aussi bien essuyer l’intérieur du
compartiment des piles comme suit :
• Ouvrir ou fermer le compartiment des piles avec des mains sèches, à un
endroit à l’écart de l’eau.
• Essuyer la pile et l’intérieur du compartiment des piles. Prendre soin tout
particulièrement des bornes afin qu’elles soient totalement sèches.

Installation des piles
Pour installer les piles :
1Retirer le couvercle du compartiment des piles situé à l’arrière de la
radio.
2Insérer 2 piles de type AAA, en vérifiant que le + et le – des piles sont
alignés avec le + et le – à l’intérieur du compartiment.
3Remettre la porte du compartiment des piles en place.

Alerte de piles faibles
Si la charge de la pile est insuffisante, l’affichage ACL clignote partiellement.
Appuyer sur n’importe quelle touche pour mettre la radio hors tension et
remplacer les piles.
Une pile déchargée peut fuir et endommager la radio ou provoquer une
réception faible, déformée ou avec un sifflement. Remplacer les piles quand
cela devient nécessaire. Si la radio n’est pas utilisée pendant une longue
période, retirer les piles.
• Ne pas essayerde les recharger, les mettre en court-circuit, lesouvrir,les
chauffer ou les mettre au feu.
• Ne pas mélanger différents types de piles, comme des piles alcalines
avec des piles carbone-zinc par exemple.
• Ne jamais mélanger des piles neuves et anciennes.
• Des piles déchargées peuvent fuir et endommager gravement la
radio-bracelet.
• Mettre les piles au rebut en conformité avec les lois locales sur
l’environnement.
Utilisation du bracelet
Pour installer le bracelet sur la radio :
1Faire passer le bracelet dans les encoches de la pince.
2Le refermer sur un côté à l’aide de la fermeture Velcro®pour le fixer en
place.
3Insérer la pince à l’arrière de la radio en la verrouillant dans son
logement.

Pour détacher le bracelet de la radio :
1Appuyer sur le verrou.
2Faire glisser la pince pour sortir le bracelet.
Pour fixer la radio au bras :
1Mettre le bras entre la radio et le bracelet et ajuster la longueur du
bracelet.
2Appuyer sur la fermeture Velcro pour la fixer.
Pour utiliser la pince de ceinture :
1Insérer la pince de ceinture à l’arrière de la radio, puis faire glisser la
pince pour la verrouiller.
2Fixer la radio à la ceinture en la tenant (la pince de ceinture étant fixée)
tout en insérant la pince sur la ceinture.

3Pour retirer la pince de ceinture de la radio, appuyer sur le verrou
central, puis faire glisser la pince vers l’extérieur.
Remarque : La pince de ceinture peut aussi être utilisée pour fixer la
radio à la sangle d’un sac à main ou d’un sac fourre-tout.
TOUCHE BLOCAGE
Passer en position HOLD (Blocage) pour verrouiller les touches. A
s’affiche quand la fonction de blocage est activée. Basculer sur pour
déverrouiller les touches.
Utilisation de la radio
Remarque : Vérifier que la touche de blocage est sur la position
avant d’essayer d’utiliser la radio.
Pour utiliser la radio :
1Maintenir appuyée la touche des fréquences pour la mise sous tension.
2Appuyer brièvement sur la touche des fréquences pour sélectionner AM
ou FM.
3Pour mettre hors tension, maintenir appuyée la touche des fréquences.
Remarque : Le fil souple du casque d’écoute fait office d’antenne pour
la réception FM. Pour une meilleure réception, il peut être nécessaire de
déployer le fil.

Pour écouter la radio :
1Appuyer sur les touches TUN UP (Syntonisation croissante) ou TUN DN
(Syntonisation décroissante) pendant moins d’une seconde pour aller à
la station suivante ou précédente.
2Maintenir appuyé les touches TUN UP (Syntonisation croissante) ou
TUN DN (Syntonisation décroissante) pour rechercher la station
suivante ou précédente ayant une réception claire.
3Appuyer sur les touches VOL +ou VOL – pour régler le volume.
Remarque : Si la radio capte une station diffusée en stéréo, (ST)
s’affiche à l’écran.
Pour mémoriser des stations manuellement :
1Sélectionner la gamme de fréquences AM ou FM .
2Appuyer sur les touches TUN UP (Syntonisation croissante) ou TUN DN
(Syntonisation décroissante) pour sélectionner la station de radio
souhaitée.
3Appuyer brièvement sur la touche MEM (Mémoriser). L’icône M clignote
sur l’écran ACL.
4Appuyer sur les touches TUN UP (Syntonisation croissante) ou TUN DN
(Syntonisation décroissante) pour affecter un numéro préréglé à la
station.
5Appuyer de nouveau sur la touche MEM (Mémoriser) pour la mémoriser
comme station préréglée.
6Répéter les étapes 1 à 5 pour mémoriser des stations radio
supplémentaires.
Remarque : La fonction de mémorisation (Autostore) peut mémoriser
automatiquement 20 stations FM et 10 stations AM avec des numéros
préréglés (effaçant toute station préréglée auparavant).
Pour utiliser la fonction de mémorisation automatique
(Autostore) :
1Sélectionner la gamme de fréquences AM ou FM.
2Maintenir appuyée la touche MEM. L’icône M clignote sur l’écran ACL.
La radio recherche et mémorise les stations à signal puissant dans les
numéros préréglés. Quand la mémorisation automatique se termine, la
radio syntonise sur la première station préréglée.
3Pour mettre fin à la mémorisation automatique en cours, appuyer sur
n’importe quelle touche.
Pour accéder à une station préréglée dans la gamme de
fréquences :
1Appuyer sur la touche PRESET (Prérégler). La fréquence de la station
clignote.
2Appuyer sur les touches TUN UP (Syntonisation croissante) ou TUN DN
