Preparation of the bottom panel
This manual was created to the customer's specications. This document therefore only contains the parts that you have
ordered. Other chapters are not discussed.
To guarantee an Assunta system that works properly, all of the steps in this manual must be followed precisely. VDS BVBA
cannot under any circumstances be held liable for the way this manual is used, and is not responsible for incorrectly
assembled systems.
It is very important for the panels to be straight. For that reason a maximum bend and/or torsion of 2 mm applies to all of
the panels in the system.

Prepare the bottom panel. The panel is provided with a chamfer at the top and with holes Ø2.5, depth 10 mm for the guide
blocks, belt clips and glide plates. The slots and holes for the door aligners are also provided in the panel. To obtain the exact

Horizontal clearance bottom panel
Preparation of the second panel
Remove the horizontal play from the slanting top of the bottom panel once. Horizontal clearance = 1.75 mm
Prepare the bottom panel. The panel is provided with a chamfer at the top and at the bottom with holes Ø2.5, depth 10 mm
for the guide blocks and follower brackets and/or glide plates. The slots and holes for the door aligners are also provided in
the panel. To obtain the exact dimensions of these processes, you can request custom-made drawings of your setup via the
website.

Remove the horizontal play from the slanting top once and once the horizontal clearance from the slanting bottom of the
third panel. Horizontal clearance = 1.75 mm

Preparation of the xed panel
Remove the horizontal play from the slanting top once and once the horizontal clearance from the slanting bottom of the
third panel. Horizontal clearance = 1.75 mm
Prepare the xed panel. The panel is provided with a chamfer at the bottom and with holes Ø2.5, depth 10 mm for the
magnetic units, this together with two counterbore holes Ø35 per magnetic unit. The slots and holes for the door aligners are
also provided in the panel. To obtain the exact dimensions of these processes, you can request custom-made drawings of
your setup via the website.

Horizontal clearance xed panel
Hinges of the xed panel
Remove the horizontal play from the slanting bottom of the xed panel once. Horizontal clearance = 1.75 mm
The xed panel must be hinged using the magnetic units. A production example is given on the right. Of course, you can also
work with other types of hinges. The installation options are discussed in the next block.

The hinge can be installed behind, or preferably above the xed panel. There is a space of 17mm behind the panel, extra
space can be provided above the panel, provided that the bottom panel is not higher than the xed panel.
The side guide rails are incorporated into the side panels.

4 guide blocks, 2 glide plates and 2 door aligners are installed on the bottom panel.
Mount the rst guide block on the panel. The centre distance from the wheel to the bottom of the panel is 60mm.

Mount the second guide block on the panel. The centre distance from the wheel to the top of the panel is 60mm.
It is very important that the guide blocks are mounted at the correct spacing. It is therefore useful to mill a jig and use it to
respect the correct spacing.

Mount the other two guide blocks on the other side in the same way.
Mount the rst glide plate on the panel. The glide plate should be placed 181 mm from the side of the panel.

Mount the second glide plate on the panel. The glide plate should be placed 181 mm from the side of the panel.
Saw the threaded rod of the door aligners to a length of the panel width reduced by 175 mm.

Cut the protective sleeve of the door aligners to a length of the panel width reduced by 250 mm.
Slide the threaded rod into the protective sleeve.

On one side, screw the hex nut and 2 pinions over the threaded rod.
On the other side, screw the square nut over the threaded rod.
