with earphones or headphones may cause a possibility of hearing loss.

Data Storage
The manufacturer and the sales company of the product will not be responsible for data loss or damages
while transferring data between the player and a PC. You are always requested to back up all the data
saved in the player.
The data can be damaged due to accidents, malfunctions or other factors like impact or lack of battery. The
manufacturer and the sales company will not be responsible for such data loss.
Do not give impact on the connection area while the player is connected to a PC. It will cause serious data
loss.
You should back up the data saved in the player before requesting the after-sales service.

|Getting Started
ОCharging the Battery
그림18 Turn on the power of PC and connect the player to the USB port on the computer as in the figure.
The LED indicator will be shown while charging and the LED will turn off after finishing the charging.
(It takes approximately 3 hours to complete charging.)
Charging time may vary depending on computer’s USB port or HUB status.
그림19 If the battery life is less than 10%, the low battery message appears on the LCD.
Note
• The battery is not fully charged when the product is purchased. Fully charge the battery before use.
• Battery is expendable. If the battery usage time is significantly shorter after purchase, the battery should
be replaced.

ОConnecting to a PC
•Windows 98 Second Edition (SE)
In Windows 98SE, the USB drivers should be installed before use. Insert the software CD provided into the
CD-ROM drive and select “USB Device Driver” to execute automatically.

• Windows ME/2000/XP
Never install the USB drivers in Windows ME/2000/XP.

- The Removable Disk has four sub-folders. (------, -----, -----, ------)
The 4 folders cannot be deleted even after formatting.
- It is recommended that you save each file in the relevant folders.
If all the files are saved in the root folder, you may not use full capacity of internal memory.
- Maximum 512 files or folders can be saved in the root folder.
Disconnecting the USB connection

- Disconnecting the USB connection while downloading or uploading data may result in data damage or
product malfunction. In case such damage happens, you are recommended to use recovery program.
- You may not recover all the data despite using recovery program.
- To disconnect the USB connection from PC running Windows ME/2000/XP, click “Disconnect or Remove
Hardware (아이콘) on the taskbar at the bottom right of PC screen to safely stop the device before
disconnecting.

Basic Operation
○To play music (Turning Power ON)
그림 Music Play Screen will appear after turning the player on with a logo display.
•Play/Stop
After power on, press short the PLAY/STOP (아이콘) button to play.
Press the PLAY/STOP (아이콘) button during playback to stop music.
• Select and Search
Briefly press FF (아이콘), REW (아이콘) to move to the previous or next track.
When you press FF (아이콘), REW (아이콘) less than 5 seconds after starting playback, it goes to the
previous or next track.
If you press FF (아이콘), REW (아이콘) 5 seconds after playback begins, it plays from the beginning of the
current track.
If you press and hold FF (아이콘), REW (아이콘) during play, it searches quickly backward and forward the
current track.

• Adjust the Volume
You can adjust the volume by one step by pressing briefly VOL UP(+), VOL DOWN (-) button. If you hold
the button, it adjusts continuously.
• Repeat Music
Press briefly REPEAT SECTION (A-B) button during play to set the starting point of music and press
briefly again the button to set the ending point of Repeat Section.
During playing Repeat Section, press briefly REPEAT SECTION (A-B) button to cancel the Repeat Section.
○Set HOLD
If you move HOLD key with the direction in the picture below after power on, the player will be in HOLD
mode that does not activate any key inputs.

○ Changing Modes
The MENU display will appear when you press and hold MENU (M) button for 2 seconds.
그림 You can scroll the bar up and down by pressing FF(아이콘) and REW (아이콘) in the MENU screen
and press briefly MENU (M) button to select the desired menu.
