HDD QUICK INSTALLATION
Loose the following 5 screws from the sides and back to remove the NVR top enclosure.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology that integrates power into a standard LAN
infrastructure, enabling power to be provided to a network device using the same cable
as the network connection. IP cameras can be installed for uninterruptible power
supplies without power outlets in various locations.
ALARM TRIGGER
There are three types of alarms: Motion Trigger Alarm, Video Loss Alarm, and External
Alarm (IO). The following are the possible actions when the alarm is triggered. Every
action is configurable and will be explained in later chapter.
When Motion Trigger Alarm occurs
Live screen pattern can be switch to single channel screen or split screen.
The external relay/ built-in buzzer can be triggered.
The alarm time-point can be recorded in the event list.
You can search for the event in playback from time-point.
Icon will pop up to notify the user when the channel with the alarm is triggered.
The pre/post-alarm recording video will be sent to e-mail/ uploaded to FTP.
The CGI will be sent to an http server.
When External Alarm (IO) occurs
The external relay/ built-in buzzer can be triggered.
The alarm time-point can be recorded in the event list.
You can search for the event in playback from time-point.
Icon will pop up to notify the user when the channel with the alarm is triggered.
The pre/post-alarm recording video will be sent to e-mail/ uploaded to FTP.

NETWORK ENVIRONMENT RECOMMENDATION
When setting up 4Mbps per channel, it’s not recommended to connect more than 25 IP
cameras under a 10/100 switch. It is suggested to connect 1~16 IP cams on each
10/100 switch when you setting up 4Mbps per channel.
Make sure of using Cat.6 Ethernet cable when connecting a Giga switch.
PTZ (PAN, TILT AND ZOOM) CAMERA
The following diagram shows the connection between the NVR and a PTZ camera &
joystick controller. To control the PTZ camera via NVR please check the CAMERA ID,
BANDRATE (default at 9600 bps) and the RS-485 cable.

Under “Two Core” connection, the controller can control the speed dome without any
built-in protocol into the NVR. Moreover, one keyboard can be connected to a of MAX
256 units.
HARDWARE DEFAULT
Please keep the NVR on and connect a monitor on local NVR
Find the Default button (with the word “HELP” aside) on NVR main board.
Press the button for 20 seconds until you see the message on the monitor.
Select ”Yes” with mouse and let go of the button.
Now all the NVR setting will be restored to default value. Admin account will be set to
default password, and all user accounts will be deleted.

LIVE MODE
Watch live streaming videos on the NVR during Live Mode. (Note:
All examples are based on mainly 16CH version)
QUICK SETUP
The Wizard Setup offers to navigate users setting up basic settings.
This operation offers a quick and easy way to help you set up your NVR. It should
automatically start on its own if you are using the NVR for the first time. Otherwise, you
can start by clicking on the Setup Wizard icon from the Main Menu icon list on top of the
live screen.
Welcome Message
Select the language you prefer and read through the welcoming message before clicking
Start to continue or Exit to quit this operation.

Please be sure that the connection is established within the same network environment
which allows all the online devices accessible through NVR operations.
Confirm your NVR password
If you are operating the NVR for the very first time, you will need to set up your
administrator password.
The administrator is an account that owns the highest level of permissions to configure
any setting.
The keyboard will pop up once a blank column is clicked with the mouse.
Enter the Admin ID &Password to continue to the next step. Your default Admin ID &
Password are both admin.

The system will require your confirmation of the password you have just entered.
From here on in, you will be able to establish connection with your IP cameras or you
may choose to do so later.
Click on Next to go on to the next step or Exit to stop the setting up.
Once is clicked, a message window will pop up and
recommend you to reset your NVR back to default since the default password is admin.

Click to look for any online device connected in the same network as
the NVR. Clicking on the IP Address from the list will import the device information to the
channel without manually entering step.
Click Rescan to search for IP device again. It is usually for updating an operation after
disconnection or new device has been installed.
Click on Next to go on to the next step or Exit to stop the setting up.
Set your NVR date and time
Tick Synchronize with NTP Server, the NVR will be synchronized with the NTP Server.

After ticking the Enabling the Daylight Saving checkbox, the user can use the drop down
list to select the start time and the end time of daylight saving time. After complete the
setting, please click Save button to save the settings.
Click on Next to go on to the next step or Exit to stop setting further.
Set up HDD for NVR
Information of the storage device will be displayed. Tick on the checkbox with mouse to
select the HDD for file storage.
Clicking on will lead you to the S.M.A.R.T Status table where user may
check on the defection of the hard disk.
Clicking on will lead you to the page where you must be verified as the
administrator first by entering the user name and password to execute formatting the
HDD.

Click on Next to go on to the next step or Exit to stop setting further.
Set up your Internet connection
Set up the NVR IP connection either from Static IP or DHCP mode. Enter the IP Address,
subnet mask, gateway, DNS1, and DNS2 values.
If the connected devices have not yet to be set up, the set up window of Camera Search
will pop up again.
