For unpaved beds and greens
1. Before using the solar panel for the first time, it has to
be charged for about two full days of sunshine, each
lasting 10 hours. The initial charging process should be
made indoors, this guarantees the protection class IP65.
2. Screw the individual parts of the luminaire pole together
as shown in the sketch - all components including the
plate are to be used. Stick the luminaire pole into the
ground up to the plate, otherwise a stable stand is not
guaranteed (picture 2).
2.1 If the luminaire pole cannot be sticked into the ground
due to extremely firm ground conditions, the silicone
cap included in the scope of delivery can be used as
an installation aid: before screwing the luminaire pole
together, hit the ground spike of the luminaire into the
ground with the help of the silicone cap and a hammer
(picture 4). This protects the coating. Then screw the
luminaire pole with the plate onto the ground spike
(picture 2).
3. Stick ground spike of the solar unit in the ground.
4. Provide the aboveground connection between the lumi-
naire and the solar unit (picture 1).
5. Place the solar panel in a position exposed to direct sun-
light (south orientation) and illuminate the solar panel
constantly by direct sunlight (picture 2+3).
In autumn/winter months the function may be limited, as
the position of the sun is not as high depending on the
region and potential prolonged shading.
Make sure that the solar panel is free of foliage, leaves,
branches, dirt and deposits to achieve an optimal char-
ging result.
At dusk the luminaire will light up, it will then switch o
automatically after approx. 5 hours of operation.
With a fully charged battery the luminaire can be used
approx. 15 hours.
