A POE extender
User Guide
Product introduction
Performance Characteristics
Product Feature
The IPCP-EXT2P PoE Extender allows for an incoming PoE powered signal to be extended to 1 or 2 PoE
powered devices. This takes down the barrier of a typical 100 meter distance restriction of PoE and can
extend it to even further distances. Furthermore, this extender is powered by the incoming PoE power
of your PoE switch or injector (not included), therefore you do not have to worry about having a nearby
power recptacle to power this device. Additionally, this device acts as a PoE powered 2 port
unmanaged switch as it has 1 input which accepts the PoE power and 2 outputs which extends the PoE
power to up to 2 PoE powered networkable devices such as IP cameras.
Complies with IEEE802.3, IEE802.3u , IEEE802.3ab, IEEE802.3af , IEEE802.3at standard
Plug and play, no need to set.
Data transmission speed rate : 10/100Mbps
PD mode (power pins ) can comply both with 1/2+,3,6- (End-span ) & 4/5+, 7/8- (Mid-span )
Excellent circuit isolation.
Mean Time Between Failures( MTBF ) : 30000h
Transmission signal channel surge protect 1KV standard : IEC61000-4-5
Small Footprint

Installation
PoE extender is used with power supply unit and PoE device, can used in the network environment
without the power supply cord or away from the power outlet , it can supply power for AP, IP camera ,
VoIP and other network devices.
Please link the PoE splitter correctly in the following steps:
Attention:
1).The Ethernet device connected with PoE extender shall not exceed maximum power of the PoE
extender.
2).Even if the supply of power is enough, the same communication connected with PoE extender
also must not exceed 3-level.
Confirm before installation:
1.Whether the power supply of PoE port is in line with the access equipment power demand or not.
2.Whether PoE standard requirement and power supply match with the PD of access (mid span/end
span) or not.
1).Using UTP Cat5 cable to connect PoE port access of the power supply device(such as PoE switch)
to PD IN port of this PoE extender.
2).Using UTP Cat5 cable to connect PoE OUT port of the PoE extender with PD.
