Incoming and outgoing lines for extra-low voltages must be separated from dangerous, current-carrying lines
by double or reinforced insulation.
All cables and their insulation must be selected so that they correspond to the intended voltage and
temperature range. In addition, the device-specific and country-specific standards that apply to the cables in
terms of structure, form and quality of the cables must be observed.
Before commissioning, all connections respectively cables must be checked to ensure that they are firmly
seated in the screw terminals. All screw terminals (also unused) must be turned to the right as far as they will
go and thus securely fastened so that they cannot come loose in the event of shocks and vibrations.
About the installation situation, wiring, ambient conditions as well as shielding and earthing of supply
lines, the general standards for control cabinet construction in the machine industry apply.

8. Configuration / Settings
Always return to the start display after configuration and saving has been completed!
Otherwise, the changed values are not completely adopted.
The BA870100 is operated using 3 push buttons on the front foil.
An up and a down arrow key (up / down) to scroll through the menu
items and an "OK" key to confirm changes to the settings and as a
return key to jump back to previous menu levels.
The start display shows the graphic opposite with the current input
values and the 4 outputs E1 to E4, which are highlighted separately in
color (red, yellow, green, blue) depending on the programmed
presetting.
Whether a teach function (see 8.6) is activated is indicated by a "T" in
the lower display line on the right. To the right of the lowered line, the
feature that has been taught is also displayed, e.g. E1 for input 1 (TE1).
The configured unit (here V) is displayed both numerically and as a
graphic level (see figure).
By pressing the "OK" button, you enter
the basic menu of the
programming area.
Selection menu 1
In such a selection menu, you select the feature to be programmed.
Use the arrow keys to scroll down or up, the current line is highlighted
in white. By pressing "OK" takes you to the next menu level. Due to the
compact display size, some features are hidden and only become
visible by scrolling up or down.
The first line of a selection menu is always "Back". If this is highlighted
in white, press "OK" to switch back one level at the time until the start
display appears again.
Selection menu 2
In this menu type you change the programming. First, the current
setting is displayed. With the arrow keys you can only select the fields
below.
To change the function, make sure that "Selection" is highlighted in
white. Press "OK" - the background color changes from white to red.
Now you can use the arrow keys to select the desired function. Only
three functions are displayed at the same time. If further functions are
available, these can be viewed by scrolling up or down.

"OK", the background color of "Selection" changes back to white. Now
scroll with the arrow buttons to "Save" and press "OK". The selected
function is saved.
If you "Cancel", the original function remains active.
Input menu
You are expected to enter numbers in an input menu. Here, too, the
current setting is initially displayed. With the arrow keys you can only
select the fields below.
If "Input" is highlighted in white, press "OK" - the background color
changes from white to red. At the same ti
me, the first field is
highlighted in red and the numerical value it contains can be changed
using the arrow keys. The next position is selected by pressing "OK". If
all the numbers have been changed as required, press "OK" and the
background color of "Input" changes back to white.
Using the same procedure, you can change the sign by selecting "+/-"
or set and move a decimal point by selecting "Dec. point".
If you scroll to "Save" after making the entry and press "OK", the new
numerical value is saved. If you press "Cancel", the original value
remains active.
