Introduction
Thank you for your purchase of the ISKCO HAG series 48-volt generator. This unit is designed to
provide optimum performance when properly used with compatible 240hz vibration equipment. Prior
to the use of this generator it is very important that you read the following instructions so that you may
understand the proper operation and maintenance of the unit. Failure to adhere to the instructions
provided may void the product warranty.
HAG Characteristics
Permanent magnet design: No windings, slip ring or carbon brushes.
Enclosed generator case: Protects unit from dust & other contaminates.
Overload protection: Prevents premature damage to vibrators and the unit
itself during high amperage situations.
Oil Alert: Prevents the engine from operating when oil level is
low.
4 Cycle engine: Durable, clean burn engine for trouble free
operation.
Caution!!
Check oil level before starting engine. NOTE: Units are shipped containing no oil.
Do not run the generator in an enclosed area. Failure to operate this generator in a ventilated
environment can be hazardous.
Never use an extension cord other than that recommended by the manufacturer. Contact your local
dealer for the correct extension cord.
Do not overload the generator by operating too many vibrators. See chart below for proper
vibrator selection.
Always operate the generator at FULL SPEED…failure to do will
cause damage to the vibrators.

Operation
For optimum performance and safety be sure to operate the generator according to the instructions
specified in this manual.
Check the oil level before operation!
(1) Fill gas tank and open petcock to allow fuel to flow into the carburetor.
(2) Adjust the throttle handle to the run position and move the choke to the closed position. (If re-
starting the generator while still warm, keep the choke in the open position).
(3) Be sure the overload protectors are in the OFF position.
(4) Pull recoil starter
(5) Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke to the open position
(6) Throttle the engine to full speed.
(7) Turn the overload protector(s) to the ON position before turning on the vibrators. NOTE: Start
vibrators one at a time to avoid overloading the generator.
(8) Always turn vibrators “on / off” with the vibrator switch…do not use the generator OVL’s
as the on / off device or slow down or shut off the generator without first turning “off” the
vibrators at the vibrator switch. Failure to do so can cause damage.
Generator Shutdown
Use the following instructions when shutting the generator off.
(1) Turn the concrete vibrators OFF using the vibrator switch
(2) Turn generator overload protector(s) to the OFF position
(3) Return generator to idle speed for approximately 2-3 minutes
(4) Turn the engine switch off
(5) Close the fuel petcock.
If storing the generator for a extended period time, turn fuel petcock off and allow engine to run until
shut down to insure fuel in not remaining in the carburetor bowl.
Generator maintenance
Clean the pins of the output receptacles with wire brush to insure maximum electrical performance.
Tighten all loose nuts and bolts.
Check exposed wiring for cuts or loose connections.
Engine maintenance
See the enclosed engine service manual for safety precautions and engine maintenance instructions.
Contact your local dealer to obtain more information.

Electrical Ground:
The HAG series generators are a low voltage output system (48volt,
3ph, 240hz loaded). As specified in the National Electrical Code
(NEC) part 250.21 & 250.22 any “stand alone” low voltage system
under 50 volts AC (loaded) does not require a ground.
If an inspector on a specific job site “request” a grounded system,
the HAG series units are equipped with a “ground lug” connection
located on the side of the electrical control panel. Simple attach a
length of appropriate wire to the ground lug and attach to a ground
connection as deemed acceptable to the inspector.
