SAFETY
• Itisforbiddenforthestovetobeusedbychildren!
• Donotoperatethestovewiththedooropen.Itisa‘ClosedDoor’unit.

• Werecommendasafetyguardtobeusedtopreventchildrenoranimalsfromtouchingthe
stove.
• Thesafetyandadjustmentdevicesmustnotbemodiedwithouttheauthorisationorindications
ofthemanufacturer.Onlyusereplacementpartsrecommendedbythemanufacturer.
• Donotpull,disconnect,ortwisttheelectricalcablesleavingthestove,evenifdisconnected
fromtheelectricalpowersupplymains.
• Donotcloseorreducethedimensionsoftheairingventsintheplaceofinstallation.

• Check for the presence of any obstructions before switching the appliance on following a

withhotpartsoftheappliance.Thepowersupplyplugmustbeaccessibleafterinstallation.
• This appliance must not be used to burn coal, waste or fuel not recommended by the
manufacturer.

• Duringthellingphasedonotallowthebagofpelletstocomeintocontactwiththestovetop.
• Thestovehasbeendesignedtofunctioninnormalclimaticconditions.Inparticularlyadverse
conditions(strongwinds,freezing)safetysystemsmayintervenethatswitchthestoveoff.If
thisoccurs,contactthetechnicalafter-salesserviceandalwaysdisablethesafetysystem.
• Fluesneedtobesweptcleanannually.Iftheueshouldcatchre,requesthelpfromthere
serviceandswitchoffthedevice.
• Ifthestoveshouldblockorstopfeedingwhenrunning,indicatedbythesignalonthedisplay
anditisnotduetolackofroutinemaintenance,contactthetechnicalafter-salescentre.
• Theuserwillneedtoadheretoanynecessarysafetyclearancesfromcombustiblematerials
andguidanceonprotectingagainsttheriskofreinandoutsidetheradiationarea;
• Properlyinstalledandoperatedthisappliancewillnotemitfumes.Occasionalfumesfromde-
ashingandre-fuellingmayoccur.Persistentfumeemissionispotentiallydangerousandmust
notbetolerated.Iffumeemissiondoespersist,thenthefollowingimmediateactionsshould
betaken:
-Opendoorsandwindowstoventilatetheroom.
-Letthereoutandsafelydisposeofthefuelfromtheappliance.
-Checkforueorchimneyblockage,andcleanifrequired.
-Donotattempttore-lightthereuntilcauseoffumehasbeenidentied,if
necessaryseekprofessionaladvice.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
AllnationalandlocalregulationsandEuropeanStandardsshallbecompliedwithwhenoperating
theappliance.
CONTROLLER AND SETTINGS
Thestoveusesatouchdisplay,whichhasbeendesignedintuitivelytoenableeaseofuse.
Thestovecanalsouseaninfraredremotecontrolintendedforday-to-dayusewhenthecombustion
systemisfullyconguredandoperational.Itisusedformodifyingtheburningpowerandtemperature
settings,andenablesyoutoturnthecombustionsystemonoroff.Theremotecontrolisoptional.
Atthetopofthestove’sdisplayarelocatedindicatorsforvariousalarms,timermodeoperation,and
menus.Theinfra-redsensorisusedforremotecontrolunit.
Thedisplayshowsthesetorcurrentvaluesforthecurrentlyselectedmenuoption.Withonscreen
buttonsyoucannavigatethroughthemenuandcontroltheoperationofthestove.Refertopage4
fordescriptionsofthebuttons.
Thekeyboardisalsoequippedwiththebeeper,whichprovidesthekeyboardfeedbacksignals.The
followingsoundsignalsareavailable:
• Shorthightone:soundswhennavigatingthemenuandeditingthesettings
• Longlowtone:soundsincaseofaninvalidoperation(wrongbuttonpressed)
• Long high tone: in case of an alert, this tone sounds with the user dened loudness, and
incaseofanerror,thistonesoundswith100%loudness.
Thedisplayautomaticallyswitchestoidlemodeafter30secondsofinactivityandexitsfromitwhen
thedisplayistouchedagain.Youcanchangethisfeatureinthe‘DisplaySettings’submenu.

• Setthetargettemperatureforthersttimeintervalbytappingonandthen and/or 
icons.Savethesettingsbytapping‘OK’.Youcancancelthechangesbytapping‘DELETE’.
• Onceyoucompleteallyourweeklytimersettingsyouwillthenneedtoenabletheweeklytimers
operationtomakethemperform.Ifyoudonotenablethem,theheatingwillnotturnON/OFF
automaticallybutyourtimerswillstillbesaved.Toenable/disablethetimeroperation,taponthe
‘ON/OFF’buttoninthetimersmenu.
• Exitfromthetimersmenubytapping.
Please Note:Iftheactualtemperatureisalreadyhigherthanthetargettemperaturewhenthetime
intervalstarts,theheatingdevicewillnotbeturnedONautomaticallyuntiltheactualtemperature
fallsunderthetimeintervalstargettemperature(providedthetimeintervalisstillactive).

PELLETS AND FEEDING
ThepelletsusedshallbeENPlusA1grade6mmwoodpelletfuel.
NO OTHER FUELS SHOULD BE USED
Abagwithamaximumweightof10kgisrecommendedforconvenience.
Tollthestore,openthetophatchandloadthepellets.
Please Note:Ifthehopperwascompletelyemptybeforerefuelling,thestovewillnotlightonthe
rstattempt.Asecondattemptneedstobemadetoallowthefueltolterthroughtothechamber,or
alternativelyyoucanmanuallyfeedpelletsintothehooperinthesettingsmenu.
IGNITION PROCEDURE
CheckStovepowerswitchispluggedinandon.Fireupthestoveviaoneofthetwomethodsbelow.
The Stove will go through a “Fire Up” phase, including internal and external checks before self
igniting.This can take 10-15 minutes,beforeenteringa“Burning”phase.
Once in the “Burning” phase the Stove continuously checks conditions such as air and ue
temperatures.Ifneededitwillrestartbyitself.Itwillcontinueburningandselfregulateheatoutputto
matchthedesiredroomtemperature.Duringtherstfewhoursofoperationyoumaynoticeapaint
smell,thisisnormal.
Please Note:Whenlightingthestovefortheveryrsttimethehopperthatdeliversthefueltothe
burningchamberwillbeempty,thereforeyouwillneedtodoamanualfeedviathesettingsmenu.If
youdonotdothis,therstignitionattemptwillfailandasecondattemptwillbeneeded.
TURNING ON THE HEATING DEVICE
Option 1 - Via The Display.
• Ifinidlemode,touchthescreentoexitit.
• Tapon toentertheTemperaturemenu.
• TapontoentertheMainmenu.
• Holdtoturnontheheatingdevice.
Option 2 - Via The Remote.
• Pressontheremotetoturnontheheatingdevice.
• Youcanthenusetheand buttonstoadjustthepowerandtemperature.(See page 3 for
details of the remote.)

CONTROLLING ROOM TEMPERATURE
WiththeIslandcontrolleryouhavetwooptionsforsettingtheroomtemperature.Youcan:
a)Useweeklytimerprograms
b)Setormodifytheroomtemperaturemanually
Usingtheweeklytimerprogramsyoucanfullyautomatetheoperationofyourcombustionsystemand
littleornouserinterventionisrequired.Youcanalsosetormodifytheroomtemperaturemanually.
Ifyouareusingtheweeklytimerprograms,thisenablesyoutotemporarilyoverridetheprogram
settings.
Theprogramsettingsareresetwhenconditions,setwiththetimer,aremet(forexample,endtime
isreachedandthecombustionsystemturnsoff).Toviewthecurrentroomtemperature,taponthe
downarrowtoentertheTemperaturecontextmenu.Thecurrentroomtemperaturevalueisshown
onthedisplay.
Tosetthedesiredroomtemperature,intheTemperaturecontextmenutapontheplusorminus
iconsto increaseor decreasethetemperature.Thechangeswillbesavedautomaticallyandthe
displaywillthenshowthecurrentroomtemperature.
SHUT DOWN
Select OFF in the top left corner of the display. If you were in the edit mode, the changes are
discardedandtheeditmodeisexited.TheStovepowerwillremainonandsafetyfeatureswillrunif
initiatedbyabnormalconditions(e.g.overheat).
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Cleaningisessentialtomaintaintheefciencyandreliabilityofthestoveandistheuser’sresponsibility.
DAILY
Cleantheslidinggrate;Theslidinggrateislocatedbelowthestoveopeningandcanbepulledout
byahandleasshownbelow.Tocleanit,withdrawthegrate,andthenreinsertitcorrectlywiththe
handlepointingdown.Thisisrequiredtobedonedaily,bestdonelateintheeveningafterthestove
hasshutdown,sothatthegrateiscleanfordutythenextmorning.
Please Note: Thedoorhandleshouldonlybeopenedwhentheunitisnotoperatingandisatroom
temperature.
WEEKLY
Removingash;Theashaccumulatesintheareaunderneaththeslidinggrateandshouldberemoved
onceforevery100kgoffuelused(forexampleonceforevery10bagsoffuelifeachbagweighs
10kg).Itisrecommendedthatthisisdoneusingavacuumcleanerdesignedforash.
Please Note:Theashshouldbevacuumedoutonlywhentheunitisnotoperatingandisatroom
temperature.
DoorGlass-Theglasswillselfcleanisthereissufcientheatgeneratedfromthestove.However,
ifthereisabuildupofdebrisontheglassitmaybeduetodraftconditions,poorqualityfuelorvery
lowburningforalongtime.Tocleantheglass,itisrecommendedtouseasoftdrycloth.Donotuse
adetergentorliquidwhichcouldpenetrateanycracks,therebymakingthemmorevisible.

CLEANING THE HEAT EXCHANGER
Theheatextubesfoundinsidethereboxshouldbecleanedeverymonth(orevery200kgoffuel
burnt). This is done by removing the bafe plate to access the heatex tubes (x4), clean the ash
fromtheheatextubeseitherwithabrushorashvacuum.Ensureallfourtubesarecleanbefore
remountingthebafeplate.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Authorizedpersonnelmustcleanthestoveandheatexchangerannually.Youshouldthereforecall
thetechnicalsupportservice.Itissuggestedyoucarryoutthisoperationafterthecoldseasonhas
nished.
FLUE
Theueductsmustbevacuumedtopreventthebuildupofparticulatematter.Itisimportantthisis
carriedoutwhennecessaryandatleastonceayear.Failuretocleantheuemayaffectthesafe
operationofthestove.
CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM
Buildingregulationsrequirethatwheneveraneworreplacementxedsolidfuelorwood/biomass
applianceisinstalledinadwellingacarbonmonoxide(CO)alarmmustbettedinthesameroom
astheappliance.Furtherguidanceontheinstallationofthecarbonmonoxidealarmisavailablein
BSEN50292:2002andfromthealarmmanufacturer’sinstructions.Provisionofanalarmmustnot
beconsideredasubstituteforeitherinstallingtheappliancecorrectlyorensuringregularservicing
andmaintenanceoftheapplianceandchimneysystem.
CHANGING THE OPERATING POWER LEVEL
Thisstoveallowsyoutoswitchbetween5differentpowerlevels.
• Ifinidlemode,touchthescreentoexitit.
• Tapon toentertheTemperaturemenu.
• TapontoentertheMainmenu.
• Increase/Decreasetheoperatingpowerlevelbytappingtheand/or buttons.Thechanges
aresavedimmediately.
CHECKING TIME TO SERVICE
Tocheckhowlongyourstovehasuntilitneedsitsnextservice,followthestepsbelow.
• Ifinidlemode,touchthescreentoexitit.
• Tapon toentertheTemperaturemenu.
• TapontoentertheMainmenu.
• TapontoentertheSettingsmenu.
• Navigateto‘Time to service’usingor.Taponthetexttoenterthemenu.
• This will display the time left before a service is needed. This should only be carried out by
authorisedpersonnel.
Please Note: Whenthetimetoserviceexpires,youwillbenotiedbyan‘A002’alert.Thestovewill
stillbeoperationaldespitethis,butthisalertcanresetbycallingoutauthorisedpersonneltoperform
aservice.

USING THE SCREEN LOCK FUNCTION
Thisfeatureallowsyoutolockthedisplayscreentopreventaccidentalchangesofthesettings.With
thisenabledyoucanstillnavigatethroughthemenutoviewthesettings,butwillbeunabletochange
anyofthem.Theremotewillworkasnormalwhenthissettingisactive.
• Ifinidlemode,touchthescreentoexitit.
• Tapon toentertheTemperaturemenu.
• TapontoentertheMainmenu.
• TapontoentertheSettingsmenu.
• Navigateto‘Screen lock’usingor.Taponthetexttoswitchbetweenthesettings:

cleanthedisplaywithoutchanginganyofthesettingsaccidentally.Thisfunctioncannotbeperformed
whiletostoveisoperating.

Anyfaultswillpopuponthedisplay,AlertswillappearinyellowandErrorswillappearinred.The
stoveshouldstillbeoperationalintheeventofanAlert,howeveranErrorindicatesamoreserious
malfunction.YoucancloseAlertsandErrorsbytappingthe‘X’symbolinthecornerreturningyouto
themainscreen,thiswillnotresetthefault.YouwillnoticetheAlert/Errorcodewillbeatthetopof
thedisplay,tappingonthiscodewillbringupthefaultmessageagain.

Thebodiesofourdrystovesareguaranteedfor10years.
Allnon-consumablebodypartsareguaranteedfor2yearsandelectricalitemsfor1year.
Consumable parts of the stove are exempt from warranty which includes the glass, re
rope,vermiculiteboardandanyotherconsumables.
If something is faulty please let us know as soon as possible and we will send you a
replacement(s).Youhaveupto6monthsfromreceiptofthegoodstoletusknowthatthey
arefaulty.Whereitisclearthatthepartswerefaultywhenyoureceivedthemwewillsend
replacementsorrepairtheitemfreeofchargeassoonaspossible.Thisisinadditionto
