Leggere attentamente il manuale e conservarlo per eventuali
consultazioni future.
Il Cronotermostato è alimentato da 2 batterie Stilo e può
sostituire la maggior parte dei termostati in commercio, per
uso residenziale.
Avvertenze!! il Cronotermostato ha un contatto d’uscita
isolato che può essere collegato ad un carico con
alimentazione di rete 220V, con assorbimento max di 6A
(resistivo) e 2A (induttivo). Prima di effettuare i cablaggi
elettrici, staccare l’alimentazione dall’interruttore generale. Si
consiglia di far eseguire l’installazione da personale
competente e qualificato.
Scegliere la posizione adatta all’installazione, seguendo
queste linee guida:
Installare il Cronotermostato ad un’altezza di 1,5m dal
pavimento.
Installare SOLO in interni. Il Crono non è stato progettato
per essere installato all’esterno.
Non esporre il Cronotermostato alla luce solare diretta, Non
installare in prossimità di apparecchi di riscaldamento o
ventilazione.
Installare lontano da porte e finestre.
 Rimuovere il coperchio frontale facendolo scorrere da
destra a sinistra.
 Rimuovere la vite presente nel vano batterie.
 Separare corpo del Crono dalla base operando sul lato
sinistro (lato batterie).
Sul circuito stampato sono presenti 2 Dip switch per
l’impostazione Riscaldamento/Condizionamento.
Se si desidera utilizzare il Cronotermostato in un sistema
di riscaldamento, verificare che lo Switch 1 sia in OFF.
Queste è l’impostazione di fabbrica.
Se si desidera utilizzare il Cronotermostato in un sistema di
condizionamento, verificare che lo Switch 1 sia in ON .
Lo Switch 2 imposta il livello di precisione con la quale il
Crono rileva la variazione di temperatura ambiente (0,2 :
0,5°C)
 Rimuovere la vite che trattiene il coperchio di protezione
dei morsetti elettrici.
 Fissare la base a parete nella posizione desiderata. I
conduttori devono passare liberamente nel foro
rettangolare della base.
 Collegare i conduttori ai morsetti 1 e 2 .
Alcuni esempi di connessione
 Riposizionare la copertura di protezione dei morsetti e
relativa vite di bloccaggio
 Riposizionare il corpo del Cronotermostato sulla base e
bloccare con la vite del vano batterie
 Inserire 2 Pile Stilo Tipo AA, rispettando le polarità
indicate e rimontare la copertura frontale scorrevole.

Impostazione temperatura Comfort / Semi Comfort
Il Cronotermostato utilizza due temperature (Confort/Giorno
e SemiConfort/Notte) da inserire nella programmazione di
ciascun giorno della settimana.
I valori impostati di fabbrica sono:
Per il riscaldamento, Confort/Giorno 20C° e Semi
Confort/Notte 17C°.
Per il condizionamento Confort/Giorno 23C° e Semi
Confort/Notte 28C°.
Per modificare queste temperature, premere il tasto
Premere e poi per modificare la temperatura
Confort/Giorno.
Premere e poi per modificare la temperatura
Semiconfort/Notte. Confermare con .
Programmazione
Premere per accedere alla programmazione.
Sul display apparirà la programmazione di Lunedì (Mo) alle
ore 0:00. Procedere con la modifica della programmazione
del Lunedì o selezionare un altro giorno della settimana,
premendo ripetutamente .
La programmazione di ogni giorno inizia sempre dalle ore
0:00. Premere oppure per assegnare la
temperatura Confort o SemiConfort.
Premere per passare all’ora successiva (1:00) ed
assegnare nuovamente ad essa la temperatura Confort
o SemiConfort .
Ripetere la sequenza appena descritta per tutte le 24 ore e
confermare la programmazione dell’intera giornata
premendo .
Il display visualizzerà la programmazione del giorno
successivo Martedì (Tu). Ripetere la sequenza indicata in
precedenza, per impostare le temperature per le 24 ore.
Effettuata la programmazione di tutti i giorni della
settimana, premere per uscire.
Sul display, per ciascuna ora del giorno sarà indicata la
temperatura assegnata:
Confort/Giorno con un trattino,
SemiConfort/Notte senza trattino.
Funzionamento manuale
Esistono due tipologie di funzionamento manuale:
il primo permette di impostare manualmente il valore della
temperatura da mantenere per un periodo limitato (da 1 a
48 ore max). Al termine di questo periodo, il Crono tornerà
ad utilizzare le temperature Comfort o Semi Confort
preimpostate.
Per utilizzare questa modalità, eseguire la sequenza:
Premere , la temperatura impostata inizierà a
lampeggiare;
premere di nuovo per impostare la temperatura
desiderata;
confermare la temperatura impostata premendo .
A questo punto lampeggerà sul display la scritta H1.
Premere per impostare Il periodo (da 1 a 48 ore) e
confermare con .
La seconda tipologia di funzionamento manuale funziona
così: Se il termostato sta operando in modalità
SemiConfort/Notte , premendo il tasto Confort/Giorno
si costringerà il Crono ad adottare la temperatura più
alta. Il termostato resterà in questa modalità fino a che il
periodo SemiConfort/Notte successivo impostato non si
attiverà.
Allo stesso modo, Se il termostato sta operando in modalità
Confort/Giorno , premendo il tasto SemiConfort/Notte
si costringerà il Crono ad adottare la temperatura più
bassa. Il termostato resterà in questa modalità fino a che il

periodo Confort/Giorno successivo impostato non si
attiverà.
Qualunque sia il tipo di funzionamento manuale, sul display
apparirà il simbolo .
Per disattivare il funzionamento manuale premere uno dei
tasti .
Programma Vacanza o forzatura permanente della
temperatura
Questa funzione permette di impostare una temperatura da
mantenere per un periodo compreso tra 1 e 99 giorni.
Questa prende il nome di Programma Vacanza o Forzatura
permanente.
Premere il tasto : si attiverà la funzione e sul display
lampeggerà l’icona valigia.
Con i tasti impostare il numero di giorni per il
quale mantenere la temperatura che verrà impostata
successivamente.
Se si seleziona il simbolo la forzatura sarà
permanente.
Premere il tasto per confermare.
Con i tasti impostare la temperatura desiderata e
confermare con .
Per disattivare la funzione Vacanza, premere uno dei due
tasti , oppure premere per spegnere il crono.
Sostituzione batterie
Quando sul display compare il simbolo , significa che le
batterie sono prossime alla scarica.
Per la sostituzione procedere come segue:
1. Togliere il pannello frontale che dà accesso al vano
batterie.
2. Estrarre le pile ed inserire 2 nuove Stilo alcaline tipo AA.
NOTE:
** Effettuando il cambio delle batterie, il Crono manterrà
in memoria la programmazione per circa 20 sec.
Se necessario, premere e rilasciare il tasto RESET per
cancellare eventuali impostazioni.
** Completata la programmazione del cronotermostato,
l’apparecchio effettuerà un rilevamento della
temperatura ambiente per 3 minuti. Al termine di tale
periodo, se necessario, effettuerà l’attivazione della
caldaia o climatizzatore.

Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Digital
Thermostat. Thanks to the latest microprocessor technology,
the thermostat offers many convenient and energy-saving
features. Please read the following instructions fully before
installing your thermostat.
Overview of features and functions
Your Digital Thermostat incorporates preset daily programs
to suit different user lifestyle. The thermostat can be
programmed easily to accommodate existing user needs.
Thermostat is powered by 2 x AA batteries and can replace
most domestic thermostat.
Cautions! The digital thermostat has been designed to
switch a 230VAC power supply. The maximum load is 6
Amps (resistive) / 2 Amps (inductive).
Installation
Caution! Electricity can be lethal. Before beginning any
work, ensure that the electricity supply is switched off at the
mains. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician. If you
currently have a thermostat connected by 2 wires, you can
replace it directly with your new Digital Thermostat.
If not replacing an existing thermostat, you will need to
install a 2 wire cable to your heating system.
1. Before carrying out any installation work, choose an
appropriate location for the Thermostat using the
following guidelines:
a. Mount the Thermostat approximately 1,6m above
the floor.
b. Only mount on interior walls (thermostat is not for
outdoor use)
c. Avoid any location where the Digital Thermostat
could be exposed to directly sunlight.
d. Avoid any location in proximity to a heater, cooker,
ventilation outlet.
e. Avoid any location where there may be concealed,
boilers, pipework or chimney flues.
f. Mount away from doors, and corners of rooms.
2. Detach the front cover by sliding it to the left. Remove
screw in battery compartment. Open the front housing
from the base by lifting from the left hand side.
3. Unscrew the retaining screw to open the protective
cover. (See Fig. 2.2)
4. If fitting this thermostat to an existing system, the
thermostat base must completely cover the hole in the
wall. If the thermostat doesn’t cover the hole, then fit
an intermediate plate over the hole to reduce its size.
The plate should be made from insulating material such
as wood or plastic. When positioning the thermostat
check the wires come in through the protective cover
hole.
5. Connect the two wires to terminals 1 & 2. See Fig 3.1,
3.2.
Note! If the existing installation has neutral or earth
conductors, these must not be connected to the Digital
Thermostat. They must be made electrically safe.
6. Reattach the protective cover to the Digital
Thermostat’s base and secure it with the retaining
screw.
7. Reattach the front housing to the Thermostat’s base
and secure it with the retaining screw.
8. Insert 2 x AA batteries making sure they are the right
polarity as indicated and replace the front cover.
Note: when replacing the batteries, the programs are
held in memory for 20 sec. only.
9. Press the RESET key once and ensure the Thermostat is
in the INITIAL mode.

Familiarise yourself with the LCD panel and the keys before
programming.

Operation and Programming
1. To set clock and Day:
After inserting the batteries, or pressing the RESET key or
key is pressed. The thermostat will enter in TIME
ADJUSTMENT mode and the HOUR will start to flash.
Press the to adjust the Hour setting.
Press key to confirm setting. The MINUTE will now
flash, press to adjust MINUTE. Press key to
confirm setting. The DAY will now flash, press
to adjust DAY. Press key to confirm setting. This will
confirm the setting of clock and day.
The display will return
into running mode. The
display will appear as
shown in figure 5.1.
The Digital Thermostat is a weekly programmable device,
with 7 day/24 hour programs that can be set as required.
For each hour you can set the Thermostat so that either
the CT (COMFORT) or ET (EVENING)
temperature mode operates. The Thermostat comes with
a pre-installed program that will accommodate many
users’ requirements (See figure 5.2).
Reviewing preset Program
To review the settings for the pre-installed program, press
to enter the PROGRAMMING mode. The preset
program for Monday will show –0:00.
Press to show the temperature mode setting (either
COMFORT or EVENING) for each hour.
For example, the Monday program has:
ET (EVENING temperature mode) 0.00 to 5.59 (Midnight to
5.59am) and 8.00 to 15.59 (8am to 3.59pm).
CT (COMFORT temperature mode) 6.00 to 7.59 (6am to
7.59am) and 16.00 to 22.59 (16pm to 10.59pm).
Note: 23.00 to 0.00 is set to ET (EVENING temperature
mode). Press the key and next day’s temperature
setting will be displayed. Use the keys to show
which temperature mode is operating for each hour. Repeat
this procedure until Sunday has been reached. Press the
key to return to the running mode.
Changing the preset program
The preset program can be adjusted to meet your
requirements. Press key to enter the PROGRAMMING
mode. Press the key to select the day you wish to adjust
the program for. Use keys to select the hour you
wish to adjust the program for. Press or to change
the temperature mode.
For example, to change 12pm to 4.59pm on Saturday from
COMFORT to EVENING temperature:
Press key to enter the PROGRAMMING mode.
Press the repeatedly until Saturday is displayed.
Press the + key repeatedly until 12.00 with CT is displayed.
Press key, CT change to ET.
Press the + key so the display advances to 13:00 and press
the so that CT change to ET. Press the key to
confirm the setting. The display will advance to Sunday –
press the key again to return to RUNNING mode.
Note: don’t set a program using 0.00 as either a start or end
time. Set programs to begin or end at 23:00 or 1:00.
The Thermostat may not operate correctly if 0:00 is used.
Viewing and Changing the preset temperatures
Each temperature mode is set at the following values:
Press key to view CT or ET temperature mode.
Press to view the CT setting or to view the ET
setting. With the temperature setting flashing, press
to change the temperature setting. Press the key to
confirm the setting and return to the RUNNING mode.
Setting the temporary manual override for temperature
Temporary manual override allows you to override the
existing temperature setting for any period from 1 to 48 hrs.
Press the keys to enter the MANUAL OVERRIDE
TEMPERATURE mode. The temperature on the LCD will flash.
Use to set the desired temperature.
Press to confirm the new temperature. H1 will show on
the LCD panel and flash (indicating a 1 hour override). Use
the + key to increase this up to a maximum of 48 hours as
required. Press to confirm.

Overriding the temperature mode (temporarily)
You can override the programmed CT (COMFORT) or ET
(EVENING) temperature mode (i.e. CT instead ET, or
viceversa) until the temperature mode is programmed to
activate again. It the thermostat is currently running in ET
mode, press the key to change to CT mode. The
thermostat will run CT mode until the next ET program
period activates. Similarly, if CT is running, press the key
to change to ET mode. The thermostat will continue to run in
ET mode until the next CT program period activates.
Note: the first hour of override will only run for a maximum
of 45 minutes. Each subsequent hour of override will
function for the full hour. For example, 2 hours of override
will function for 1 hour 45 minutes.
Setting permanent/vacation temperature override
The Thermostat program can be overridden to give one
constant temperature for any period between 1 and 99 days.
This is particularly useful if you are going on holiday.
Press the key and the day bar on LCD will flash. Use the
keys to set the number of days override required.
Press key to confirm. Use keys to select the
required temperature. Press key to confirm.
Note: If using the vacation mode for frost protection, some
areas of the heating system may be in an exposed location
outside the area monitored by the Digital Thermostat.
Cancelling overrides
Should you wish to cancel either the manual, temporary or
permanent/vacation override, press either the or
key to return to the RUNNING mode. Alternatively, press
to turn the Thermostat off.
Resetting the Digital Thermostat
Should you wish to return the Thermostat to its original
preset program (and erase any changes you have made)
simply press the RESET key.
Further adjustment
The Thermostat incorporates twin DIP switches on the circuit
board at the rear of the front housing.
DIP switch 2 adjust the sensitivity of the thermostat.
In the Left position if the temperature variation is greater
than 0,5°C the thermostat is activated. In the Right position
it will activate if the variation is greater than 0,2°C.
DIP switch 1 switches between HEATING and AIR
CONDITIONING.
Left position selects HEATING control, Right position selects
AIR CONDITIONING control.
Sensor operation:
Your Thermostat uses an advanced NTC thermistor to detect
the temperature, located on the lower left-hand side of the
circuit board. If the sensor is accidentally touched, you must
allow a few minutes for the sensor to return to the normal
temperature. The sensor measures the temperature once a
minute.
