Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for choosing our LITTLE stove.
Before using your stove, please read this manual carefully to allow you to make full use of all its features in complete safety.
Please remember that rst ignition MUST be carried out by DEALER, responsible for checking the installation and lling in the
guarantee.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage arising from use of the stove deriving from incorrect installation, incor-
rectly performed maintenance or improper use of the product.
SAFETY INFORMATION
The stove is designed to heat the room in which it is installed by radiation and by movement of air from the front grilles, heated by
automatic pellet combustion in the rebox.
The only risks that may derive from the use of the stove are linked with non-compliance with installation instructions, direct contact
with live electrical parts (inside) or with the re or hot parts (glass, pipes and hot-air outlet) or the introduction of foreign substan-
ces. Only use wood pellets with 6 mm diameter, as fuel.
The stove is tted with safety devices to turn it off in the event of malfunction. This must be allowed to happen without interference.
For correct operation, the stove must be installed in compliance with the instructions on this technical sheet and the door must not
be opened during operation: combustion is managed automatically so no manual operations are needed.
Never put foreign substances in the rebox or pellet hopper.
Do not use ammable products to clean the smoke duct.
Firebox and hopper components must only be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner, when the stove is cold.
The glass must be cleaned when COLD using a suitable product (e.g. GlassKamin) and a cloth. Do not clean when hot.
Ensure that the stove is installed and lit by a qualied DEALER,, responsible for correct installation and lling in the warranty.
Any odours during the rst start-ups can be caused by materials processing residue:
they will disappear completely after the initial period of use.
During stove operation, the outlet pipes and the door reach high temperatures.
Do not leave objects that cannot withstand heat close to the stove.
NEVER use liquid fuel to light the stove or rekindle the embers.
Do not block ventilation openings in the room where the stove is installed, or the air inlets on the stove itself.
Do not wet the stove or go near the electrical parts with wet hands.
Do not t reducers on the smoke outlet pipes.
Stoves must be installed in rooms equipped with re-prevention precautions and all of the services (supply and discharges) required
for the equipment to operate correctly and safely.
Disconnect the device from the mains power supply before carrying out any maintenance.
Should ignition fail, DO NOT re-ignite until you have emptied the combustion chamber.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES
The LITTLE stove is pellet- red with electronically controlled
combustion.
The fuel (pellets) is taken from the storage hopper (A) and
delivered to the combustion chamber (D) by a screw feeder
B) driven by a gearmotor (C).
The pellets are ignited by hot air produced by a heating element
(E), which is drawn into the combustion chamber by a
centrifugal fan (M).
The combustion smoke produced is drawn out of the rebox
by the same centrifugal fan (M), and expelled from the vent
(F) at the bottom rear of the stove.
Air is blown by the fan (G) into the hollow space at the rear
of the rebox, where it is heated and blown out into the room
through the front grille (I).
The amount of fuel and the smoke extraction/combustion air
supply are controlled by an electronic circuit board (N) to
achieve high-performance combustion.
All operating stages are managed and displayed using the
mimic panel (L) and two knobs located on the front of the
stove, below the door. The same stages can also be managed
by remote control (optional).
The fuel hopper is located in the upper part of the stove.
The hopper can be lled by raising the cover, located at the
rear top of the stove.
The internal structure of the stove is made completely of cast
iron.
A serial port is found at the back of the stove (optional cable:
code 620550) to be connected to devices that allow remote
ignition (e.g. remote telephone, local thermostat).
The external covering is metal.
NOTES on fuel.
The LITTLE pellet stove is designed and programmed to burn wood pellets with 6 mm diameter.
Pellets are small cylinders about 6 mm in diameter made from sawdust or shredded waste wood, pressed at high pressure
without the addition of adhesives or other foreign material.
To prevent damage to the stoves, do NOT burn any other substances. The use of other materials (including wood), which
can be detected by laboratory analysis, invalidates the guarantee.
Edilkamin has designed, tested and programmed its stoves to perform best with pellets with the following characteristics:
• diameter: 6 - 7 millimetres
• maximum length: 40 mm
• maximum moisture content: 8 %
• heat output: at least 4,300 kcal/kg
If different types of pellets are to be used the stove must be reset, following the same procedure carried out by the DEALER,
for the rst ignition.
The use of unsuitable pellets can lead to: decreased performance, operating anomalies, stoppages due to clogging, dirty glass,
unburnt fuel, etc.
The pellets can be analysed by visual examination.
Good quality: smooth, even lengths, not very dusty.
Poor quality: with horizontal and vertical splits, very dusty, variable lengths and mixed with foreign matter.
