GETTING STARTED
WHATIS IN THE BOX
Examine the contents of the box for your portable audio system.There should be the follows:
OPERATION OF THE iPod
Tuning the Radio
a. Press the STANDBYbutton until the unit is turned on.
b. Press the FUNCTION button until the unit is in Radio mode, as indicated by
c. Press the BAND button to selectAM or FM radio bands.
d. Press the SKIP/TUNE button to adjust the radio frequency.
Saving a Radio Frequency to the Memory
a. Tune the radio to the station you want to save.
b. Press the PROGRAM button, and then select a preset number by pressing the MEM+ button.
c. Press the PROGRAM button to save the current station to theselected memory slot.
Connecting other DigitalAudio Devices
a. Connect an audio device to theAUX IN jack.
b. Press the FUNCTION button to set theunit toAUX mode, as indicated by the LCD Display.
c. The audio device will now play through the speakers of the player.

IPod FEATURES
1. Docking plug in the IPOD2. LCD Displays the unit’s current function, the clock, and alarm times.
3. STANDBY/AL.OFF Press the STANDBY button to put the unit in standby mode or to turn the unit on.
.When the unit is in standby mode.
4. FUNCTION/CLOCK.ADJ Press the FUNCTION button to switch between IPOD, Radio, andAUX modes.
5. PLAY/PAUSE/BAND Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to play and pause an IPOD. In Radio mode, Press theBAND button to
switch betweenAM and FM bands when in radio mode.
6. M-/M+ Choose the frequency from the memory.
7. SNOOZE/SLEEP to temporarily stop the alarm sound when the alarm is sounding. The preset sleep time is 9 mins. Hold to
set the sleep timer.
8. SKIP+/SKIP- Press the SKIP+/SKIP- buttons to adjust the radio frequency, change the IPOD track, or adjust the minute and
hour on the clock or alarm time settings.
9. STOP/MONO Press the STOPbutton to stop a IPOD during play.
10. VOLUME+/AL2 SETPress the VOLUME buttons to increase (+) the unit’s volume.
11. VOLUME-/AL1 SET Press the VOLUMEbuttons to increase (-) the unit’s volume.
12. BATTERYDOOR (UM2 X 8)
13.The TelescopicAntenna provides reception for the FM bandradio.
14. HEADPHONE JACK Use the headphone jack to connect headphones to the unit.
15. AUX IN Connect an external audio source to the AUX IN port to play music from that external source through the unit’s
Speakers. (Requires a 3.5mm line in cable, included)
16. REST using a paperclip or like object, press the RESET button to restore the unit to its factory default settings.
17.AC JACK Plug the attachedACAdapter into a standard outlet to power the unit.

REMOTE CONTROLFEATURES DEFINED.
18. SNOOZE after the alarm sounds; press the SNOOZE buttonto delay the alarm for 10 minutes.
19. MUTE Press the mute button to decrease the volume entirely.
20. DISPLAY Press the DISPLAY button to view the clock on the LCD display.
OPERATIONS
Setting the Clock
a. Press the STANDBY button until the unit is in standby mode.
b. Press the CL.ADJ. Button .The time will begin toblink. (OFF MODEL)
c. Press the SKIP- and SKIP+ button to adjust the hour and minute. (OFF MODEL)
d. Press the CL.ADJ. Button toset the adjusted time.(OFF MODEL)
Setting the Alarm
a. Press the STANDBY button until the unit is in standby mode.
b. Press the CL.ADJ. Button 3Times.The time will begin to blink. (OFF MODEL)
c. Press the FUNCTION button to select, RADIO,AUX, or IPOD. (OFF MODEL)

PLAYING BACK FROM IPOD
Setting the iPod on the unit
1. Select the dock cradle compatible to your iPod ( see”iPod Compatibility Chart”)
2. Match the clock cradle tabs tothe left and right holes in the unit, and insert the dock cradle to the unit.
3. Firmly insert the connector plug of the unit into the connectorport of the iPod.
•Always set volume to the minimum when connecting or disconnecting the other equipment.
•When you connect your iPod to the unit, make sure you insert it all the way.
•When disconnecting the iPod,make sure that the system is turned off.
Connecting the DCAdapter
●Ensure that the docking station is compatible with the power supply that you intend to connect to.
CAUTION: To avoid risk of fire, and toprevent damage, only usetheAC adapter supplied with your system.

Installing or Replacing the Batteries
A. Loading battery for the Remote Control
1. Squeeze and pull to release the battery cover latch. You can remove the battery door with your fingernails by using the
spaces set back in wall.
2. Match the polarity on the lithium cell with a plus sign (+) on the battery tray.
3. Slide the tray with new battery into the battery compartment until you hear a click sound.
