INTENDED USE
This machine is designed to dig holes in the earth,
for fence or post installation, for large planting works,
environmental restoration and other construction
activities.
Installing an optional ice auger bit, this machine can be
used to bore holes also into ice, for ice shing and for
construction works in icy conditions.
SAFETY REGULATION FOR THE USE
General safety rules
The following listed safety instructions should serve you
for the right use of the tool and for the protection of your
own safety, therefore, please read this very carefully.
When passing this tool to a third person, these
instructions must be handed too.
Retain this user’s manual and all other literature supplied
with your tool for any future reference.
Comply with all the safety information and the warnings
on the tool.
Be familiar with the controls and the proper use of the
tool before attempting to use it and above all, make sure
you know how to stop to use it in case of emergency.
Following these simple instructions will also maintain
your tool in good working order.
∙The tool must be assembled correctly before use.
∙Only use the tool for its designed purposes.
∙On the tool, there may be also decals and further
indications about the safety equipment to use that
must be considered. The prevention of accidents is
dependent upon the awareness, common sense and
proper training of everyone involved in the operation,
transport, maintenance and storage of the tool.
∙Never leave the tool unattended.
∙Never allow children to use the tool. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the tool.

∙Keep children and pets away. All onlookers should
be kept at a safe distance away from the tool when it
is in use.
∙The user is responsible for third parties while
working with the tool.
∙People who aren’t acquainted with the operating
instructions, children, juveniles who have not yet
reached the minimum age for using this tool and people
under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or medication
are not allowed to use the tool. Local regulations may
restrict the age of the operator.
WARNING! The consumption of
alcohol, medication and drugs, plus
states of illness, fever and fatigue will
affect your ability to react. Do not use
this tool in any of these situations.
∙Make sure that all the protective devices (if present)
are tted and are in good condition.
∙Never operate the tool with defective safety devices
or guards (if present), or without safety devices in place.
∙Inspect the entire tool to look for loose parts (e.g.
nuts, bolts, screws, etc.) and for any damage. Check
at frequent intervals if screws and bolts (if present) are
properly tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working
condition. Repair or replace them, if necessary, before
using the tool. Serious injury to the operator and to the
bystanders could result if there’s any damage to the tool.
∙While using the tool, dress properly. Do not
wear loose clothing or jewelery that could become
caught by the tool. Wear suitable working clothes.
It is recommended that legs and feet are covered, to
protect them from eventual ying debris. Do not work
barefoot or wearing open sandals. Long air should be
tided back.
∙Keep handles and grips dry, clean and free from
oil and grease.
∙Use proper protective equipment. Use safety
glasses and safety gloves. Also use a dust mask during
pulverulent operations or if exhaust gases are present.
When necessary, use also non-slipping boots or shoes,
hardhat and earplugs. If the noise level exceeds 85
dB(A), ear protection is obligatory.

operation of the tool.
∙Do not start to use the tool if it is in an inverted
position or it is not in the right working order.
∙Ensure that you have a good stand, while you
operate with the tool. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times.
∙Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite
injuries. Before use, all foreign bodies must be removed
from the working area, also pay attention to foreign
objects during operation.
∙Do not force the tool.
∙Only work in daylight or sufciently good articial
light. Never operate the tool without good visibility.
∙Be careful not to drop the tool or hit it against
obstacles.
ATTENTION! Stay alert. Watch what you are doing.
Distraction can cause you to lose control. Use
common sense.
Gasoline engine safety rules
WARNING! Petrol is highly ammable.
Handle fuel with care.
∙Store fuel in containers specically designed for
this purpose.
∙Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while doing
this operation.
∙Add fuel before starting the engine.
∙Always allow mufer to cool before lling fuel tank.
∙Never remove the cap of the fuel tank or add fuel
while the engine is running or when the engine is still
hot.
∙If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine,
but move the machine away from the area of spillage
and avoid creating any source of ignition until petrol
fumes have dissipated.
∙Clean up spilled fuel before restarting.
∙Replace all fuel tanks and container caps securely.
∙Do not run the engine indoor or in a conned space:
dangerous carbon monoxide fumes can collect. Exhaust
fumes are dangerous.
WARNING! Exhaust contains
poisonous carbon monoxide, a
colourless and odourless gas.
Breathing exhaust can cause loss of
consciousness and may lead to death.
Provide an adequate ventilation to
keep exhaust gas level as low as
possible.
∙Never store the equipment with fuel in the tank
inside a building where fumes can reach an open ame

or spark.
∙To reduce re hazard, keep the engine, silencer,
battery compartment and petrol storage area free of
vegetative material and excessive grease.
∙The exhaust system gets hot enough to ignite
some materials. Keep ammable materials away from
the device.
∙The mufer becomes very hot during operation and
remains hot for a while after stopping the engine. Be
careful not to touch the mufer while it is hot. Let the
engine cool before storing the machine indoors.
∙Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before starting
the machine.
WARNING! During the use of certain
gasoline tools, some dust containing
chemicals known to cause cancer,
may occur.
Some of these chemicals are: lead from lead based
paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and
other masonry products, arsenic and chromium from
chemically treated lumber and other dangerous
products. If dust is present, your risk from these
exposures varies, depending on how often you do this
type of work.
To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, any
time you do pulverulent operations, work in a well
ventilated area and work with approved safety
equipment, such as dust masks that are specially
designed to lter out microscopic particles.
∙If the machine strikes a foreign body, examine the
device for signs of damage and carry out any necessary
repairs before restarting and continuing to work.
∙If the machine starts to vibrate abnormally, switch
off the motor and check for the cause immediately.
Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
∙Always turn off the machine and wait until the
machine completely stops whenever you leave
the machine, before carrying out maintenance,
before changing accessories, checking, cleaning,
troubleshooting or working on the machine.
∙It is forbidden to move or modify any of the internal
parts of the machine.
Specic safety rules
∙Handle, store and transport the auger with the
maximal care to avoid accidents. If transporting the
machine in a vehicle, pack it in a solid box and fasten it
to prevent unexpected movements.
∙Do not carry the auger between holes with the
engine running.
∙The auger drills have sharp and pointed parts.
Always wear gloves and handle with care to prevent
injuries.
∙Do not use a damaged or deformed auger bit.
Immediately replace the damaged auger!
∙Spectators and workers must be warned, and
bystanders must be kept safely away from the operating
unit.
∙Do not drill on hard ground or in the presence of
rocks, roots, asphalt or construction components.
DANGER! Drilling into or contact with
electrical wires may cause severe
shock, burns or death!
Before drilling, use the appropriate tool to make
sure there are no hidden pipes or electric cables,
reservoirs or cement artefacts, gas or telephone
lines, water mains.
∙Do not drill on icy ground without using the proper
auger drill for ice!
∙Never use ice auger without checking with local
authorities for safe ice thickness in lakes, ponds, and
rivers.
∙Before starting the unit, equip yourself with all the
proper protective equipment and clothing. Do not wear
loose or baggy clothing while operating the machine.
Wear suitable sturdy clothing, overall long pants. Do not
wear shorts! Wear sturdy, steel-toed safety boots with no-
slippery soles. Do not wear sandals, slippers and do not
work barefoot! Always wear hearing and eye protection,
heavy-duty nonslip gloves, whenever unit is used.
∙Remove all objects or debris which could be
thrown, jammed or become entangled to the auger.
∙Maintain footing and balance at all times. Do not
stand on slippery, uneven or unstable surfaces. Do not
work in odd positions or on ladders. Do not lean too
much on the machine.
∙Do not over reach. Do not operate the machine in
any position other than upright.
∙Do not drill with the machine tilted from its vertical
axis.
∙During drilling, keep the machine steady by gripping
both handles.
∙Keep legs and feet away from all moving parts.
∙Always shut the engine off before making any
repairs, before transporting and before installing augers.
∙During operation, the mufer cover area will
become very hot. Avoid contact during and immediately
after operation. Allow engine and mufer to completely
cool before performing any maintenance.
∙ Exposure to vibration and cold may cause tingling
and burning sensations, followed by loss of color and
numbness in the ngers. Prolonged work can cause
weakness and extreme pain in ngers, hands, arms,
and shoulders. Consider the following precautions:
- Keep your body warm, especially the head, neck,

feet, ankles, hands, and wrists. Wear suitable
protective working gloves!
- Limit the hours of operation. Take frequent work
breaks and during those breaks, perform arm
exercises and rest your hands.
- Try to maintain a straight wrist position. When
grasping, use your whole hand, not just the thumb
and index nger. Do not squeeze the handles
prolonged excessive pressure.
- Immediately stop using the machine and consult a
doctor if you feel tingling, numbness, or pain in the
ngers, hands, wrists, or arms.
Safety warnings for kickbacks
A kickback is a sudden reaction of the rotating auger
when it gets stuck that causes a sudden stop and in turn
forces the machine.In this case, the machine can break
and injure the operator.
A kickback is the result of improper use of the machine
or the use of incorrect operating procedures.
To avoid a kickback, take the following precautions:
∙Firmly grip the machine and place your body and
your arms in such a position so as to resist the force of
the kickback.
∙Never approach your legs to the rotating auger. The
auger can suddenly move and strike you.
∙Do not approach your body or your head to the
machine. A kickback may suddenly rotate the machine
and strike you.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Assembling the handle (3) [F1]
1. Unscrew the screws and the nuts at the end of both
handles (3).
2. Move the handle (3) until the hole on the handle (3)
is aligned with the hole on the gear box cover.
3. Fix and tighten the screws and nuts using the
wrench and the hex key.
Assembling the throttle trigger (7) [F2]
1. Open the screw xed with the throttle trigger (7).
2. Take the screw across the hole on the handle (3).
3. Use the screwdriver to tighten the screw and
secure the throttle trigger (7).
Assemble the auger bits (2) (NOT INCLUDED)
CAUTION! always ensure that the

• Installing the earth auger bit [F3]
1. Carefully place the power head (1) on a at surface
with the mufer (6) side down.
2. Align the hole at the end of the drive shaft of the
engine, with the auger mounting hole.
3. Use the locking pin and insert it into the hole.
4. Insert the split pin through the small hole of the
locking pin and bent it.
• Installing the ice auger bit [F4]
1. Carefully place power head (1) on a at surface
with the mufer (6) side down.
2. Align the hole at the end of the drive shaft of the
engine, with the auger mounting hole.
3. Insert the screw into the hole.
4. Use the hex key to tighten the screw.
GETTING STARTED
CAUTION! Each operation indicated below must be
carried out while the engine is off and the STOP/
RUN switch (8) is in the “STOP” position.
CAUTION! Always wear safety gloves and safety
goggles.
Preparing the mixture - 4% OIL (1:25)
NOTICE! 2-STROKE ENGINE! The engine works
exclusively with oil/petrol mixture in the percentage
indicated on the specications list.
ATTENTION! Prepare the mixture in a suitable
container outdoor or in a well ventilated area.
1.
WARNING! Do not mix the fuel directly
in the fuel tank (5)!
In a suitable container, mix 1/4 or recommanded
2-strokes oil and 3/4 of recommended petrol. Only use
unleaded gasoline.
2. It is advisable to prepare only the quantity of
mixture necessary to ll the tank (5).
3. Screw the container cap on tight and shake the
mixture well before use.

4. Wipe away any spilled fuel or oil and allow to
evaporate, before moving or transporting.
Storing the mixture for long periods, will result in its rapid
deterioration. We recommend to add specic additives
to prevent the mixture from deteriorating over time.
Store the mixture only in suitable, approved containers,
in a safe place, and out of the reach of children.
Filling the fuel tank (5)
NOTE: for safety reasons this product has been supplied
with the fuel tank (5) completely drained of fuel so the
engine will require “running in”.
When starting the machine for the rst time, you may nd
it a little difcult. Once the fuel has fully circulated through
the system, the engine will start and future starting will
be easier.
WARNING! Risk of re and explosion.
Refuel when the machine is switched
off!
WARNING! If the fuel has splashed
onto the machine or oor, dry it up
before starting the machine.
ATTENTION! Do not allow water or dirt to enter the
tank!
1. Firmly position the machine so that the motor is in a
horizontal position.
2. Open the tank cap.
3. Use a suitable funnel to transfer the fuel mixture
from the container to the fuel tank (5).
4. Fill up the tank (5) without letting it overow.
5. Close the tank cap rmly.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Starting the engine [F5]
Gently agitate the fuel mix by gently rocking the earth auger
backwards and forwards for a few times. This will ensure
that the 2-stroke oil has not settled out from the petrol.
1. Set the choke lever (10) to the OFF position ( ).
2. Press the primer bulb (11) until it is nearly full of fuel.
3. Make sure the STOP/RUN switch (8) is on the RUN
position.
4. Hold the machine rmly with one hand, with the other
handgrip the recoil starter (4) cord handle, pull it slowly at
the rst time, then a little faster until the engine starts.
(CAUTION! Never twist the cord around your hand!).
5. When the engine has been successfully started and
is running smoothly, set the choke lever (10) to the ON
position ( ).
6. Allow a brief warm-up of few minutes at no-load, until
engine runs smoothly.
Starting and stopping the auger bit (2) (once the
motor has been started) [F6]
ATTENTION! Be careful, at this step, the tool will start
to run!
1. Firmly grip the handles (3) with both hands.
2. Squeeze the throttle trigger (7) and the tool will start
to rotate.
Allow the auger to reach full speed before
commencing the boring operation.
CAUTION! If the auger bit (2) stops
suddenly, immediately turn the
machine off.
3. Releasing the throttle trigger (7), the auger bit (2)will
stop rotating. Wait a few moments for the auger bit (2)
to stop completly and for the engine to go back to idling.
ATTENTION! In case the auger bit (2) is still rotating,
turn the machine off and have the machine inspected.
Stopping the engine
1. Move the STOP/RUN switch (8) to the STOP
position.
2. Disconnect the spark plug cap from the spark plug
and securely keep it away from the spark plug and any
metal part.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
CAUTION! Before carrying out any
maintenance operation, turn off
the engine and wait until it stops
completely.
CAUTION! Always ensure that the
machine is switched off and the spark
plug cap is removed before making
any adjustment or maintenance
procedures.
WARNING! Always ensure that the

∙Always keep the tool and the ventilation slots (if
present) cleaned. Regular cleaning and maintenance of
the appliance will ensure efciency and prolong the life
of your tool.
∙If the tool should fail despite the rigorous
manufacturing and testing procedures, the repair should
be carried out by an authorized IVT customer service.
∙Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight, to be sure the

tool is in safe working condition.
∙Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
∙Use only original spare parts. Parts not produced
by manufacturer may cause poor t and possible injury.
∙Store the tool in a dry room out of reach of kids and
away from any ammable material.
∙Store all fuel tanks securely. Never store the
equipment with fuel in the tank inside a building, where
fumes can reach an open ame or sparks.
As a routine maintenance:
CAUTION! Always wear sturdy gloves
when handling the auger bit (2), as
they can be very sharp.
∙After each use inspect the auger bit (2) carefully.
Remove earth using a small wooden stick and a plastic
brush. Check that there are no deformations, cracks, or
rust.
∙Clean dust and dirt off the handles (3), and
thoroughly wipe traces of oil, fuel or humidity.
∙Use a soft brush to clean the engine cooling ns and
all air vents, they must be always clean and unobstructed.
∙If the body of the earth auger needs clean, wipe it
with a soft damp cloth. A mild detergent can be used but
not like alcohol, petrol or other cleaning agent.
∙Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.
∙Re-lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
Lubricating the gearbox [F7]
EVERY 5-8 HOURS OF USE
1. Determine if the gearbox oil is low by removing the
screw plug (12) located on the side of the gearbox.
2. If lubrication grease does not seep out as the
gearbox screw plug (12) is being removed, the gearbox
should be re-lubricated.
3. Squeeze suitable grease into the gearbox screw
plug (12) using a special grease gun, which can be
purchased at specialized stores.
Spark plug inspection [F8]
EVERY 10 HOURS OF USE
1. Disconnect and remove the spark plug.
2. Inspect the spark plug.
3. Discard if the insulator is cracked or chipped.
4. Clean the spark plug from deposits with a brass wire
brush if it will be reused.
5. Measure the plug gap with a feeler gauge. Make
sure the plug gap is between 0,7 and 0,8 mm. Adjust if
required.
6. Thread the spark plug back in by hand to prevent
cross-threading and secure it with a spanner.
Air lter (9) cleaning [F9]
EVERY 4 HOURS OF USE
A dirty air lter (9) will restrict airow to the carburetor.
Clean the air lter (9) regularly to prevent carburetor
malfunction (service more frequently in extremely dusty
areas) and excessive fuel consumption.
1. Remove the air lter cover.
2. Remove the air lter element and wash it well with
soap and water, then dry.
WARNING! Using gasoline or other
ammable solvents to clean the
air lter element can cause re or
explosion.
ATTENTION! Never run the machine without the air
lter (9); this will cause rapid engine wear!
3. Pour a small amount of clean engine oil onto the air
lter element and gently squeeze out the excess of oil.
The engine will smoke if too much oil remains in the air
lter element. Never wring out the air lter element, as
it may tear!
3. Reinstall the air lter element and its cover, ensuring
the air lter cover seals completely.
Storage
∙Disassemble the auger bit (2) from the machine.
∙Drain all the fuel from the fuel tank (5) and the
carburetor.
∙Remove the spark plug and pour approximately one
tablespoon full of clean engine oil into the spark plug
hole. With the ignition turned OFF, gently pull on the recoil
starter handle (4) several times. Re-t the spark plug and
continue to pull the recoil starter (4) cord until the piston
is on the compression stroke (when resistance is felt)
then stop pulling.
∙Store the tool in a dry well ventilated place under a
cover to prevent any dust or debris from accumulating
on the earth auger.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of
disposing as waste.
Tool, accessories and packaging should be sorted for
environment-friendly recycling.
The plastic components are labeled for categorized
recycling. These instructions are printed on recycled
paper manufactured without chlorine.

TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION! Turn off the engine and wait until the machine stops completely before investigating
fault.

VORAUSSICHTLICHE BENUTZUNG
Diese Maschine ist für die Bohrungen im Boden für die
Montage von Zäunen oder Säulen, für umfassende
Arbeiten zu Grünanbau, Wiederherstellung der
Umgebung und andere Bauarbeiten bestimmt. Mit
dem angebrachten zusätzlichen Schneidkopf des
Schneckeneisbohrers kann man diese Maschine
für die Bohrungen im Eis, für Eisangeln und für die
Durchführung von Bauten unter Bedingungen der
Vereisung verwenden.
ARBEITSSICHERHEIT BEI DER
BENUTZUNG
Allgemeine Regeln der Arbeitssicherheit
Folgende Anleitungen zur Arbeitssicherheit helfen
Ihnen das Werkzeug richtig benutzen und Ihre eigene
Sicherheit gewährleisten. Deswegen lesen Sie sie
besonnen und aufmerksam.
Im Falle der Übergabe des Werkzeuges für die
Benutzung eines Dritten, geben Sie ihm auch
vorliegende Anleitungen der Arbeitssicherheit.
Behalten Sie diese Anleitung und sonstige Literatur,
die mitgeliefert werden. Wenden Sie sich an sie,
wenn die Fragen entstehen.
Folgen Sie strikt den Regeln der Arbeitssicherheit
und Warnungen, die am Werkzeug angegeben sind.
Vor der Arbeit machen Sie sich mit der
Werkzeugsteuerung bekannt, aber, vor allem,
studieren Sie die Verfahren seines Nothalts.
Indem Sie diesen einfachen Anleitungen folgen,
werden Sie Ihr Werkzeug im einwandfreien Zustand
halten.

∙Vor dem Einsatz ist das Werkzeug richtig zu
montieren.
∙Setzten Sie das Werkzeug streng zweckgemäß.
∙Nehmen Sie Warnungstafeln und Hinweise
am Werkzeug und studieren Sie sie aufmerksam.
Aufmerksamkeit, vernünftiges Herangehen zur Arbeit
und eine entsprechende Ausbildung von Personen,
die am Betrieb, Transportieren, an der Wartung und
Lagerhaltung des Werkzeuges teilnehmen, helfen
Unfälle verhindern.
∙Lassen Sie das Werkzeug ohne Aufsicht nicht.
∙Lassen Sie die Benutzung des Werkzeuges durch
Kinder nicht zu. Erlauben Sie den Kindern nicht, mit
dem Werkzeug zu spielen. играть с инструментом.
∙Lassen Sie das Aufnden von Kindern und
Tieren in der Nähe des Werkzeuges nicht zu. Die,
die den Wunsch haben, die Arbeit des Werkzeuges

∙Bei der Arbeit mit dem Werkzeug haftet der
Benutzer für die Sicherheit von Dritten.
∙Personen, die Bedienungsanleitung nicht
studiert haben, Kinder, Minderjährige, die das
Alter, das die Benutzung des Werkzeuges erlaubt,
nicht erreicht haben, sowie Personen, die sich im
Alkohol- oder Rauschzustand oder unter Wirkung
medizinischer Präparate benden, werden zur Arbeit
mit dem Werkzeug nicht zugelassen. Das Alter des
Bedienenden wird durch örtliche Rechtsvorschriften
bestimmt.
VORSICHT! Alkohol, einige
Heilmittelpräparate und
berauschende Mittel sowie Krankheit,
Fieber und Müdigkeit vermindern die
Geschwindigkeit der Reaktion. In
oben genannten Fällen benutzen Sie
das Werkzeug nicht.
∙Versichern Sie sich, dass alle Schutzeinrichtungen
(falls vorhanden) installiert und nutzungsfähig sind.
∙Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug ohne
Schutzeinrichtungen (falls vorhanden), oder falls sie
beschädigt sind, nicht.
∙Prüfen Sie das Werkzeug in bezug auf den
Bestand von losen Teilstücken (Muttern, Bolzen,
Schrauben usw.) oder Beschädigungen. Um sichere
Arbeit des Werkzeuges zu gewährleisten, prüfen
Sie regelmäßig, ob Bolzen und Schrauben gut
festgezogen sind (falls vorhanden). Bei Bedarf
führen Sie vor dem Einsatz des Werkzeuges ihre
Reparatur oder ihren Austausch durch. Im Falle des
Einsatzes des beschädigten Werkzeuges können
dem Bedienenden oder Dritten ernste Verletzungen
zugefügt werden.
∙Verwenden Sie bei der Arbeit eine entsprechende
Arbeitskleidung. Weite Kleidung, Schmuckstücke
können von beweglichen Teilen mitgenommen
werden. Arbeiten Sie nur in entsprechender
Arbeitskleidung. Schützen Sie ihre Beine und Füße
vor auseinanderiegender Feine. Arbeiten Sie barfuß
oder in offenen Sandalen nicht. Tragen Sie langes
Haar hinten zusammen.
∙Halten Sie Haltegriffe und Halter trocken und
sauber.
∙Verwenden Sie entsprechende PSA. Verwenden
Sie Schutzbrille und Handschuhe. Bei der Arbeit
mit Pulvern oder bei dem Auswurf von Abgasen
verwenden Sie den Staubrespirator. Bei Bedarf
ziehen Sie gleitsichere Schuhe, den Schutzhelm
und schützen Sie ihre Gehörorgane mit Ohrstöpseln.
Wenn die Lautstärke 85 dB(A) überschreitet,
verwenden Sie unbedingt Gehörschütze.
VORSICHT! Verwenden Sie
persönliche Schutzausrüstung!
Die Schutzeinrichtungen und PSA
gewährleisten die Sicherung ihrer
Gesundheit und die Gesundheit der
Umstehenden sowie garantieren
störungsfreie Arbeit des Werkzeuges.
∙Lassen Sie das Werkzeug nicht an, wenn es
umgedreht oder im Ruhezustand ist.
∙Während der Arbeit nehmen Sie die
Beharrungsstellung. Halten Sie immer das
Gleichgewicht.
∙Halten Sie die Sauberkeit im Arbeitsbereich ein.
Auf den gesperrten Abschnitten ist ein hohes Niveau
von Unfällen. Vor dem Einsatz des Werkzeuges
räumen Sie von der Arbeitsäche alle Fremdkörper auf
sowie vermeiden Sie den Eintritt von Fremdkörpern
unter das Werkzeug während der Arbeit.
∙Drücken Sie stark auf das Werkzeug während
der Arbeit nicht.
∙Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug nur bei gutem
Tages- oder Kunstlicht. Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug
bei schlechter Sicht nicht.
∙Lassen Sie das Werkzeug nicht fallen, lassen
Sie den Anstoß des Werkzeuges auf irgendwelche
Hindernisse nicht zu.
VORSICHT! Gut aufpassen. Schauen Sie von dem
durch das Werkzeug bearbeitenden Stück nicht
weg. Indem man ablenkt, kann man die Steuerung
verlieren. Arbeiten Sie vernünftig.

Arbeitsschutzbestimmungen bei der Arbeit mit
Benzinmotor
ACHTUNG! Benzin ist ein
leichtentammender Stoff. Vorsichtig
mit dem Brennstoff.
∙Bewahren Sie den Brennstoff nur in speziellen
Kanistern auf.
∙Tanken Sie nur in der Freiluft auf, rauchen Sie beim
Tanken nicht.
∙Zuerst tanken, dann den Motor anlassen.
∙Bevor Sie auftanken, lassen Sie den Dämpfer
abkühlen.
∙Öffnen Sie das Tankdeckel nicht und tanken Sie bei
dem laufenden oder nicht abgekühlten Motor nicht auf.
∙Im Falle des Übergießens des Benzins lassen Sie
den Motor nicht an, schieben Sie das Werkzeug von
dem übergossenen Benzin zur Seite und lassen Sie die
Entstehung der Entammung nicht, bis Benzindämpfe
abströmen.
∙Reiben Sie den übergossenen Brennstoff trocken,
bevor Sie den Motor anlassen.
∙Schließen Sie den Benzintank oder Kanister fest.
∙Lassen Sie das Werkzeug in dem Raum oder im
geschlossenen Raum nicht an, um die Ansammlung
vom gefährlichen Stickoxid zu vermeiden. Die Abgase
sind gesundheitsgefährlich.
ACHTUNG! In Abgasen ist giftiges
Stickoxid, das weder Farbe,
noch Geruch hat, enthalten. Das
Aufatmen von Abgasen kann zum
Bewusstseinsverlust und Todesfall
führen. Zur Vermeidung von der
Ansammlung der Abgase sichern Sie
entsprechende Lüftung.
∙Bewahren Sie das Werkzeug mit Benzin im Tank in
dem Raum, wo Dämpfe entammen können, nicht auf.
∙Um das Risiko des Brandes zu reduzieren, halten
Sie den Platz der Aufbewahrung des Motors, des
Dämpfers, des Batteriekastens und der Benzinlagerung
sauber.
∙Das Abgassystem erhitzt sich genug dafür,
um einige Stoffe zu entammen. Bewahren Sie
das Werkzeug in der sicheren Entfernung von
leichtentammenden Stoffen auf.
∙Während der Arbeit erhitzt sich der Dämpfer
sehr und bleibt nach dem Ausschalten einige Zeit
heiß. Berühren Sie den Dämpfer nicht, um die
Brandverletzung zu vermeiden. Bevor Sie das
Werkzeug in den geschlossenen Raum tragen, lassen
Sie den Motor abkühlen.
∙Vor dem Anlass des Werkzeuges entfernen Sie
Einstellkeile und Stellschlüssel.
ACHTUNG! Manchmal während der
Arbeit der Werkzeuge mit Benzinmotor
bildet sich Staub, der die den Krebs
erregende Stoffe enthält.
Zu solchen chemischen Stoffen gehören: Blei in
Bleioxid, Quarz, der zum Bestand des Backsteins und
des Zements gehört, Arsen und Chrom, die im
Schnittholz, das durch chemische Reagens behandelt
ist, enthalten sind, und sonstige schädliche Stoffe. Das
Risiko der Einwirkung dieser chemischen Stoffe hängt
von der Häugkeit der Durchführung der mit ihnen
verbundenen Arbeiten ab.
Um ihre schädliche Einwirkung zu reduzieren,
arbeiten Sie in einem gut gelüfteten Raum und
benutzen Sie entsprechende fehlerfreie PSA, z.B.,
Staubrespiratoren, die speziell für die Auslterung
von mikroskopischen Teilchen entwickelt sind.
∙Bei dem Eintritt eines Fremdkörpers unter das
Werkzeug prüfen Sie es auf das Vorhandensein von
Beschädigungen und machen Sie eine notwendige
Reparatur.
∙Bei dem Entstehen der Übervibration schalten
Sie das Werkzeug aus und stellen Sie umgehend die
Ursache fest. Die Vibration ist gewöhnlich ein Zeichen
der Störung.
∙Bevor Sie Ihren Arbeitsplatz verlassen, führen
Sie die Reparatur, Sichtkontrolle oder Reinigung des
Werkzeuges, schalten Sie es aus und warten Sie auf
vollständiges Stoppen von beweglichen Teilen.
∙Es ist verboten, die Innenteile des Werkzeuges
abzumontieren und zu ändern.
Besondere Sicherheitsvorschriften
∙Zur Vermeidung von Unfällen den Schneckenbohrer
mit maximaler Sicherheit verwenden, lagern und
befördern. Bei der Beförderung der Maschine mit dem
Transportmittel in eine nahtlose Box verpacken und
zum Zweck der Vermeidung zufälliger Bewegungen
befestigen.
∙Den Schneckenbohrer aus einer Bohrung in eine
andere bei dem laufenden Motor nicht versetzen.
∙Die Schneckenbohrer haben spitze und gerichtete
Teile. Zur Vermeidung von Verletzungen unbedingt die
Handschuhe benutzen und vorsichtig umgehen.
∙Den beschädigten und deformierten Schneidkopf
des Schneckenbohrers nicht verwenden. Den
beschädigten Schneidkopf des Schneckenbohrers
sofort ersetzen!
∙Die Beobachter und Arbeiter unbedingt

warnen, dabei sollen sich fremde Personen im
Sicherheitsabstand von der funktionierenden Maschine
benden.
∙Das Bohren im Hartboden oder an Stellen
mit Steinen, Wurzeln, Asphalt oder Bauelementen
unterlassen.
GEFAHR! Das Durchbohren oder der
Kontakt mit elektrischen Leitungen
kann zu einem schweren Schlag,
Brandwunden oder dem Tod führen!
Vor dem Bohren ein entsprechendes Instrument
benutzen, um sich die Gewissheit über das Fehlen
verborgener Röhre oder elektrischer Kabel, Gefäße
oder Betonreste, Gas- oder Telefonleitungen,
Wasserleitungen zu verschaffen.
∙Das Bohren im Eisgrund ohne Verwendung
des Schneidkopfes des Schneckenbohrers für Eis
unterlassen!
∙In keinem Fall den Schneckeneisbohrer
verwenden, ohne bei lokaler Behörde Informationen
über sichere Eisdichte auf Seen, Teichen und Flüssen
zu bekommen.
∙Vor dem Anlassen der Maschine das Vorliegen
aller notwendigen Schutzmittel und Kleidung sichern.
Während des Betriebs der Maschine keine freie oder
Sachkleidung anziehen. Passende feste Kleidung,
einen geschlossenen Schutzanzug verwenden. Keine
Shorts anziehen! Feste Schutzschuhe mit Stahlkappe
ohne glatte Fußsohle verwenden. Keine Sandalen,
Hausschuhe anziehen und nicht barfuß arbeiten!
Jedes Mal beim Betrieb der Maschine die Schutzmittel
für Ohren und Augen, feste nicht glatte Handschuhe
verwenden.
∙Alle Gegenstände oder Müll, die zurückgeworfen
werden können, sich im Schneckenbohrer hängen oder
verwickeln können, entfernen.
∙Unbedingt stabile Lage von Beinen und
Gleichgewicht erhalten. Auf keinen glatten, unebenen
oder unbeständigen Flächen stehen. Auf unebenen
Stellen oder auf Leitern nicht arbeiten. Keinen
überschüssigen Druck auf die Maschine ausüben.
∙Die Maschine nicht überlasten. Die Maschine nur in
der vertikalen Lage betreiben.
∙Bei der Abweichung der Maschine von der
vertikalen Achse nicht bohren.
∙Während des Bohrens die beständige Lage der
Maschine sichern, indem man sie an beiden Haltern
festhält.
∙Die Beine und Füße im Abstand von beweglichen
Teilen halten.
∙Den Motor vor der Durchführung aller
Reparaturarbeiten, der Beförderung und der Anbringung
von Schneckenbohrern unbedingt abwürgen.
∙Während der Arbeit wird der Dämpferdeckel sehr
heiß. Den Deckel während der Arbeit und sofort danach
nicht berühren. Bevor man mit der technischen Wartung
beginnt, muss man den Motor und den Dämpfer
vollständig abkühlen lassen.
∙Die Einwirkung der Vibration und Kälte kann das
Gefühl des Prickelns und Brennens mit der weiteren
Blasse und Taubheit der Finger hervorrufen. Lange
Arbeit kann die Schwäche und starke Schmerzen in
Fingern, Armen, Unterarmen und Schultern hervorrufen.
Man muss folgende Sicherheitsmaßnahmen beachten:
-Die Abkühlung des Körpers, besonders des
Kopfes, des Halses, der Beine, Fesseln, Arme
und Handgelenke nicht zulassen. Verwenden Sie
passende Arbeitsschutzhandschuhe!
-Schränken Sie Arbeitsstunden ein. Machen Sie
öftere Arbeitspausen. Während dieser Pausen
machen Sie Übungen für Arme und lassen Sie Arme
erholen.
-Versuchen Sie gerade Handgelenke erhlaten.
Halten Sie die Maschine mit der ganzen Hand und
nicht nur mit dem Groß- und Zeigenger fest. Pressen
Sie die Halter nicht überschüssig ein.
-Bei der Entstehung des Gefühls des Prickelns,
Taubheit oder der Schmerzen in Fingern, Armen,
Handgelenken oder Unterarmen hören Sie den
Betrieb der Maschine sofort ein und wenden Sie sich
an den Arzt.
Warnung über die Einhaltung der Sicherheitstechnik
für den Fall des Zurückschlagens
Das Zurückschlagen stellt eine plötzliche Reaktion des
drehenden Schneckenbohrers bei seinem Verkeilen,
das unvorhergesehenes Stoppen und entgegengesetzte
Anstrengungen seitens der Maschine hervorruft, dar. In
solchem Fall kann die Maschine außer Betrieb kommen
und den Bediener verletzen.
Das Zurückschlagen ist ein Ergebnis der fehlerhaften
Verwendung der Maschine oder fehlerhafter Verfahren
des Betriebes.
Zur Vermeidung des Zurückschlagens nehmen Sie
folgende Sicherheitsmaßnahmen vor:
∙Halten Sie die Maschine fest und halten Sie den
Körper und die Hände in der Lage, die der Kraft des
Zurückschlagens widerstehen lässt.
∙In keinem Fall nähern Sie die Beine zum drehenden
Bohrer an. Der Bohrer kann plötzlich beginnen, sich zu
drehen und schlägt Sie.
∙Halten Sie den Körper oder den Kopf im Abstand
von der Maschine. Beim Zurückschlagen kann sich die
Maschine plötzlich zu drehen und schlägt Sie.

AUFSCHLUSS DER VERPACKUNG
Bei dem Aufschluss der Verpackung prüfen Sie das
Vorhandensein des Zubehörs. Vgl.. Zeichnungen zu
dieser Anleitung. Bei dem Fehlen oder Defekt von einigen
Teilen wenden Sie sich an das Dienstleistungszentrum
IVT.
AUFBAUANLEITUNG
Aufbau des Halters (3) [F1]
1. Drehen Sie Schrauben und Muttern an Enden
beider Halter ab (3).
2. Versetzen Sie den Halter (3), indem Sie das
Loch an dem Halter (3) mit dem Loch am Lagerdeckel
kongruieren.
3. Befestigen Sie und ziehen Sie Schrauben und
Muttern mithilfe des Maul- und Imbusschlüssels
Aufbau des Drosselreglers (7) [F2]
1. Drehen Sie die Schraube, die den
Drosselklappenhebel xiert, ab (7).
2. Setzen Sie die Schraube in das Loch am Halter ein (3).
3. Mithilfe des Schraubdrehers ziehen Sie
die Schraube an und befestigen Sie den Hebel
Drosselklappenhebel (7).
Aufbau der Schneidköpfe des Schneckenbohrers
(2) (IST IM LIEFERUMFANG NICHT ERHALTEN)
VORSICHT! Vor jeder Regelung oder
Anbringung von Schneidköpfen des
Schneckenbohrers (2) stellen Sie
unbedingt sicher, dass das Instrument
außer Betrieb ist.
• Anbringung des Schneidkopfes des
Schneckenbohrers für Erdarbeiten [F3]
1. Stellen Sie vorsichtig das Triebwerk (1) auf eine
ebene Fläche mit dem Dämpfer (6) nach unten.
2. Kongruieren Sie das Loch am Ende der
Antriebswelle des Motors mit dem Loch zur Befestigung
des Schneckenbohrers.
3. Nehmen Sie die Sicherungsschraube und setzen
Sie sie in das Loch ein.
4. Setzen Sie den Splint in das kleine Loch der
Sicherungsschraube und biegen Sie ihn.
• Anbringung des Schneidkopfes des
Schneckeneisbohrers [F4]
1. Stellen Sie vorsichtig das Triebwerk (1) auf eine
ebene Fläche mit dem Dämpfer (6) nach unten.
2. Kongruieren Sie das Loch am Ende der
Antriebswelle des Motors mit dem Loch zur Befestigung
des Schneckenbohrers.
3. Setzen Sie die Schraube in das Loch ein.
4. Ziehen Sie die Schraube mithilfe des
Imbusschlüssels.
VORBEREITUNG ZUM ANLASSEN
VORSICHT! Jede unten angeführte Operation
muss man beim abgestellten Motor durchführen,
indem man den Schalter STOPP/ANLAUF (8) in die
Position „STOPP“ stellt.
VORSICHT! Verwenden Sie unbedingt
Schutzhandschuhe und Schutzbrille.
Vorbereitung des Gemisches: 4%-ÖL (1:25)
ANMERKUNG! ZWEITAKTMOTOR! Der Motor
arbeitet nur dem Öl-Benzin-Gemisch im
Prozentverhältnis, das in der Liste der technischen
Daten angegeben ist.
ACHTUNG! Bereiten Sie das Gemisch in einem
passenden Behälter in der freien Luft oder in einem
gut durchlüfteten Raum vor.

WARNUNG! Mischen Sie den
Brennstoff unmittelbar im Tank nicht
ein (5)!
Indem Sie einen passenden Behälter verwenden,
bereiten Sie das Gemisch im Verhältnis 1 zu 4 oder das
für Zweitaktmotoren vorgeschriebene Öl und
vorgeschriebenes Benzin in der Proportion ¾ vor.
Verwenden Sie nur unverbleites Benzin.
2. Es empehlt sich, nur die Menge des Gemisches,
die genug für das Auffüllen des Tanks sein wird,
vorzubereiten. (5).
3. Drehen Sie den Deckel des Behälters fest zu
und schütteln Sie das Gemisch vor der Verwendung
sorgfältig auf.
4. Vor der Versetzung und Beförderung wischen Sie
verschütteten Brennstoff oder Öl auf und lassen Sie sie
verdunsten.
Die Lagerung des Gemisches während der langen
Zeit führt zur Verschlechterung seiner Eigenschaften.
