1. Product Description
Stream music videos down off of You-Tube with your favorite
Smartphone, and direct by Bluetooth these audio signals right into
the aux input cable of the JMCB-2003.
You can also stream stereo music down off of Pandora and/or
your SmartPhones’s own internal music files, and direct them by
Bluetooth into the JMCB-2003, thru this Bluetooth enabled digital
music controller.
These exciting music streaming features will work with an iPhone,
Android, Blackberry, Samsung NOTE or almost any Smartphone
available in the marketplace today that incorporates Bluetooth as
part of its design.
This new digital music controller will also connect to a standard
iPod by wire and direct the stereo music into the JMCB-2003’s
audio system aux input, using the iPod’s own onscreen controls,
while at the same time keeping the iPod fully charged.
A Smartphone or Garmin Zumo can also be linked by Bluetooth
to the J&M music controller, while an iPod is simultaneously con-
nected by wire, and when a navigation command or cell phone call
is received, it will automatically interrupt the iPod music signal into
the system.
When initiating or answering a cell phone call on-screen, the rider
and/or passenger can talk over the cell phone using the very
same J&M corded helmet headsets already connected to the
JMCB-2003, that are normally used for CB and intercom functions.
This digital music controller is designed to plug right in to the
JMCB-2003E/K models and will also work with the earlier JMCB-
2003B model systems, with the #JMDM-ADT-JCB03 adapter, as an
extra cost item.
This controller wiring harness also provides for direct plug-n-play
of the custom J&M CFRG type radar detector adapter harnesses,
(extra cost item) for automatic radar beep alert into one head-
set speaker, along with a power/ground source connection for a
Garmin Zumo.
This digital music controller Bluetooth/Smartphone/iPod kit
includes all direct plug-n-play harnesses for the JMCB-2003E/K
audio system, wired extension cable for iPod, & 3.5mm aux exten-
sion cable.
Important Note: This ‘J&M digital music player with Bluetooth is
NOT completely weather resistant, much like a cell phone, so it
is important during the installation that the unit control head be
mounted & stored in some type of compartment or pouch on the
motorcycle, so that it is not exposed to significant amounts of
moisture, as water damage is not covered under the warranty for
this item.

Pairing and Operation of the JMDM-IPBT-JCB03 to a Bluetooth Enabled Smartphone/iPod/iTouch/Zumo660-665 or MP3
1. Turn the motorcycle ignition switch to on or accessory position.
2. Go into the settings menu of the Smartphone/iPod/iTouch/Zumo660-665 or MP3 player and select search for new Bluetooth device.
Note: For the Zumo pair the JMDM-IPBT-JCB03 as a Headset not a Cell Phone.
3. Once JM-MPBT-2 is displayed on your screen, click on it. When you are asked for a passkey, enter: 9088.
4. Once the device connects to the JMDM-IPBT-JCB03 the music or other sounds from the Bluetooth linked device will be heard through the
JMCB-2003, and will automatically prioritize over any music from the by-wire connected iPod or MP3 player.
5. To properly adjust the linked Bluetooth music source volume levels into the JMCB-2003 system, first reduce music source volume to
minimum, then adjust auxiliary volume control on the JMCB-2003 audio system to maximum, then readjust music source volume up to a
point, just before speaker distortion, then further volume adjustments should be made with the top mounted JMCB-2003 volume control
only.
6. Once paired, the Bluetooth music source device should not need to be re-paired to the JMDM-IPBT-JCB03 as pairing should occur auto-
matically each time the ignition switch is turned on.
7. To pre-set the cell phone call volume, adjust the volume up or down buttons on the cell phone itself, during an actual phone conversation
heard thru both the rider’s and/or passenger’s helmet headset.
8. During a cell phone conversation, both the driver and passenger can hear and talk on the cell phone.
9. For incoming cell phone calls you will first hear a Bluetooth alert tone, possibly followed by a verbal caller ID. To accept the call you will
need to either have the cell phone set to auto-answer mode or select answer on the cell phone screen itself (use on-screen answer-reject
controls on the Zumo screen if linked to the Zumo 660-665).
10. To reject incoming calls, either just ignore the call or select reject from the cell phone screen itself.
