There are five ways
to
connect
JBL
Authentics
to
your
Wi-
Fi
router for the first time setup.
The three
most
common
are shown below. For more options consult the owner's manual online at

the dashboard, then press it for a step by
step guide.

For
iOS
user
Wi-Fi Sharing with Cable
1.
Connect your
iPhone,
iPad
oriPod touch
to
the top
USB
port
using
the
USB
to 30-pin or
USB
to Ughtning cable
that
is
provided with your iPhone,
iPad
or iPod touch.

2.
Ensure your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
is
connected
to your Wi-Fi network.
3.
Switch the Authentics to the AirPlay input by pressing
the source button.

4.
Press
the Source button
on
the JBLAuthentics for more
than 3 seconds.
The
Airplay
LED
will
quick
flash
twice.
5. A pop up window
will
be
displayed
on
your iPad, iPhone
or iPod touch with the question "Share
Wi-Fi
Settings?"
6.
Press Allow. The phone will then transfer settings and
the Authentics will attempt
to
join your wireless
network. This could take up to 1 minute.
Once the JBL Authentics
is
connected to the network,
the Wi-Fi
LED
will be constant White.
I
Android
or
Mac/PC
setup
1. Power on JBL Authentics and wait for about 1 minute.
Then switch source
to
DLNA mode by pressing
source button.
2.
Long press the source button for 3 seconds and then
release, the DLNA
LED
will quick flash twice.
3.
Use your computer or phone/tablet to search for a
Wi-Fi Network called "JBL_L
16_WF>OO<"
on the Wi-Fi
list (this might take about 30 seconds} and connect
it.
Once connected successfully, the DLNA
LED
will stop
flashing.

Open the web browser on your computer or
phone/tablet, and
in
the address
bar,
type
"192.168.1.1" and press enter.
You
should see the
JBL
Authentics setup page.
5.
Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to join, enter the
password and click "Save
".

6.
JBL Authentics will then attempt to connect to your
Wi-Fi Network
(the
LED
shall
flash during the
connecting process). Once connected successfully, the
LED
will stop flashing and
an
audio tone
will
be
heard.
Connect your computerorphone/ tablet tothe same Wi-Fi
network
as
Authentics and enjoy your music
wirelessly.

A new battery directive 2006/66/EC
on
Battery
and Accumulator replacing directive entered
into force
on
the 26th September 2008. The
directive applies to
all
types of batteries and

button cells, lead acid,
rechargeable packs) including those incorporated
into appliances except for
military,
medical and
power tool applications.
The directive sets out
rules
for collection,
treatment, recycling and disposal ofbatteries, and
aims to prohibit certain hazardous substances
and to improve environmental performance of
batteries and
all
operators
in
the supply chain.
Instructions for Users on Removal,
Recycling and Disposal of Used Batteries
To
remove the batteries from your equipment
or remote control, reverse the procedure
described
in
the owner's manual for inserting
batteries.
For products with a built
-in
battery that lasts for
the lifetime of the product, removal may not be
possible for the
user.
In
this case, recycling or
recovery centers handle the dismantling of the
product and the removal of the battery.
If,
for any
reason,
it
becomes necessary to replace such
a battery, this procedure must be performed
by
authorized service centers.
