locktheseatbackwhere
you
wantit.Pullupontheleverand
theseat
will
go
to
anuprightposition.
Butdon’thaveaseatbackreclined
if
yourvehicleismoving.
Sitting
in
areclinedpositionwhenyourvehicleis
in
motioncanbe
dangerous.Even
if
youbuckleup,yoursafetybeltscan’tdotheirjob
whenyou’rereclinedlikethis.
Theshoulderbeltcan’t
do
its jobbecauseitwon’tbeagainstyour
body.Instead, itwillbe in frontofyou. In
a
crashyoucould
go
into
it,receivingneckorotherinjuries.
Thelapbeltcan’t
do
its job,either. Inacrashthebeltcouldgoup
overyourabdomen.Thebeltforceswouldbethere,notatyour
pelvicbones.Thiscouldcauseseriousinternalinjuries.
For
properprotectionwhenthevehicle
is
in motion,havethe
seatbackupright.Then,sitwellbackintheseatandwearyour
safetybeltproperly.

That's
if
yourvehicle
is
parkedgoingdownafairlysteephill.
To
fold
afrontseatbackforward,pushtheseatbacktowardtherear
as
you
lift
thislatch.Thentheseatback
will
foldforward.Thelatch
must
be
down
for
theseat
to
workproperly.
