Sicherheitshinweise JOBO Mistral
Ihre Sicherheit und die Sicherheit anderer sind von großer Wichtigkeit.
In der vorliegenden Anleitung und an Ihrem Gerät sind Sicherheitshinweise zu Finden. Lesen und
beachten Sie bitte immer all diese Sicherheitshinweise.
Wichtige Hinweise
Beim Gebrauch von Elektrogeräten müssen immer folgende grundlegende Sicherheitsmaßnahmen
beachtet werden.
 Lesen Sie alle Instruktionen. Verletzungsgefahr bei falscher Verwendung des Gerätes.
 Dieses Gerät ist nicht für den Gebrauch durch Personen – dazu zählen auch Kinder- mit
eingeschränkten körperlichen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten sowie unerfahrene
und unwissende Personen gedacht. Dieser Personenkreis sollte das Gerät ausschließlich
unter Aufsicht oder Anleitung für den sicheren Gebrauch des Gerätes und er damit
verbundenen Gefahren betreffend verwenden.
 Kinder sollten sorgsam beaufsichtigt werden, so dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen können.
 Wenn das Netzkabel beschädigt ist, muss es vom Hersteller, dem Kundendienst des
Herstellers oder von ähnlich geschultem Fachpersonal ausgetauscht werden, um Gefahren zu
vermeiden.
 Das Gerät nicht ins Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten stellen, um die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlags zu vermeiden.
 Lassen Sie das Gerät niemals unbeaufsichtigt, während es in Betrieb ist.
 Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung und vor dem Einsetzen oder Herausnehmen von Teilen immer
den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
 Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht mit einem beschädigten Kabel oder Stecker oder nachdem es
nicht richtig funktioniert hat, fallen gelassen oder anderweitig beschädigt wurde. Setzten Sie
sich mit dem Hersteller oder dem Kundendienst des Herstellers in Verbindung.
 Stecken Sie das Kabel in eine geerdete Steckdose
 Entfernen Sie den Erdungskontakt nicht
 Keinen Adapter oder Verlängerungskabel benutzen

JOBO Mistral 3 das leistungsstarke Trockengerät für Ihre Filme und Papiere. Die schonende doch
schnelle Trocknung erfolgt über zwei Heizstufen bis 45 °C. Die Trockenschächte mit praktischen
Magnetbandverschlüssen gestatten einfache Handhabung.
Überall einsatzbereit ist der Mistral 3 durch einfache Wandbefestigung.
Das Gerät muss in senkrechter Stellung so hoch angebracht werden, dass der KB-Schacht frei hängt
und die Luft durch die Bodenöffnung ungehindert austreten kann.
Montage Trockenschächte
Die Trockenschächte werden mittels der beigefügten Kunststoffstifte am Motorkopf befestigt. Die
Metallgitter zur Aufhängung der Filme hängen Sie in die Laschen der Schächte unterhalb des
Motorkopfes ein. Die Befestigung erfolgt einfach über Druckknöpfe. Beim PF-Schacht werden die
beiden vorderen Laschen durch die o.a. Kunststoffstifte direkt am Motorkopf mitgehalten. Der
beigefügte Metallrahmen dient zur Stabilisierung und wird auf dem Boden der Trockenschächte
eingelegt.

Filmtrocknung
Magnetleisten gestatten ein einfaches Öffnen und Schließen der Trockenschächte zum Einhängen
der Filme, d.h. kein Klemmen von Reißverschlüssen mehr.
Das grobmaschige Gitter gestattet bequemes Einhängen der Filme mit JOBO Filmklammern. Das
untere Ende des Filmes wird sinnvollerweise mit einer JOBO Gewichtsklammer beschwert. Achten Sie
auf günstigen Abstand der Filme zur Schachtwand und untereinander.
Heizstufe 1 = Trockentemperatur ca. 35°C
Heizstufe 2 = Trockentemperatur ca. 45°C
Die Trockenzeit beträgt für Roll- und Kleinbildfilme bei Stufe 1 ca. 30 und bei Stufe 2 ca. 15 Minuten
und kann durch Vorheizen des Gerätes weiter verkürzt werden. Der transparente Trockenschachte
gestattet eine Überwachung des Trockenvorganges.

Wartung und Pflege
Das Gerät ist wartungsfrei und bedarf außer normaler Sauberhaltung keiner besonderen Pflege. Bei
Nichtgebrauch sollte der Motorkopf gegen Staub abgedeckt werden.
Achtung! Bitte den Netzstecker ziehen.
Durch lösen der gekennzeichneten Schrauben kann die Abdeckung des Staubfilters abgenommen
werden und der Staufilter entnommen werden und in lauwarmem Wasser gereinigt oder getauscht
werden.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the

 Read all instructions. Misuse of appliance may result in personal injury
 This appliance is not intended for use by persons, including children, with reduced physical
sensory or mental Capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
 Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Minimum
age of usage 8 years.
 If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or

 To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put appliance in water or liquid.
 Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation.
 Unplug from outlet before cleaning
 Avoid contacting moving parts. Keep hands, hair and clothing away to reduce the risk of
injury to persons and/or damage to the appliance.
 Do not use the unit outdoors.
 Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions of has been damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer of authorized
service center for examination, repair or adjustment.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire or electrical shock
Note: If the plug does not fit in the outlet, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in
anyway. Do not use an adapter. Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too short,
have a qualified electrician or serviceman install an outlet near the appliance.
Safety instructions Only connect the unit to a standard 3 pin earth socket. The motor head cannot be
rinsed or immersed in water. Always be sure to unplug the Mistral before cleaning. Wipe the unit
with a soft cloth. Do not use household/commercial cleaners. Do not immerse into water.

The powerful JOBO Mistral 3 Dryer ensures gentle, yest fast drying of your films and paper by a two
stage heater up to 45°C. The simple to use drying cabinet allows easy access and closure by means of
magnetic strips. The unit can be wall mounted with ease.
The unit must be vertically mounted and at such a height to be free of obstructions in order that air
can escape from the bottom of the cabinet freely.
Attaching the drying cabinet
The drying cabinets for films or sheet films and paper are attached to the motor head by the
enclosed plastic pins. The metal lattice for suspension of the films is attached within the cabinet by
means of the patent fastening straps near the top of the cabinet. The sheet film and paper hanging
lattice is attached with the two front straps being connected directly to the motor head by means of
the enclosed plastic pins. The enclosed metal frame is placed at the bottom of the cabinet for
stability.

Film drying
The magnetic strips allow simple opening and closing of the drying cabinet to suspend the films.
No more problems with sticking or corroded zips.
The open-meshed latice allows easy suspension of films especially with JOBO film clips. It is
recommended that bottom of the film is weighted with JOBO weighted film clip. Care should be
taken when hanging films to avoid them touching each other or the side walls of the cabinet.
Heater Stage 1 = Drying Temperature of approx. 35°C.
Heater Stage 2 = Drying Temperature of approx. 45°C
Drying time for 35 mm and roll films is approx. 30 minutes at heater stage 1 and 15 minutes at heater
stage 2. These times can be further reduced by pre-heating the cabinet and the transparent walls
allow monitoring of the drying process.

Care & Maintenance
The apparatus is maintenance free and apart from normal cleaning, does not need any special care.
(If not in use the motor head should be covered against dust.)
The dust protection mat can be removed by loosening the screws and remove the cover. It can be
cleaned in lukewarm water or exchanged.
