TWO CHANNEL POWER AMPLIFIER WITH AUTOMATIC SPEAKER SWITCHING AB50-X2
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION:
The local TV cables, Multi-Zone Receiver cables and Speaker cables must
reach the proposed location of the AB50-X2. Mark the cables with Wire
labels, describing where the cables originate from, rather than where they
will terminate. Locate a local un-switched AC outlet to be used to power the
AB50-X2.
INSTALLATION:
1. Select an appropriate location for the AB50-X2.
2. Run all necessary wiring to the AB50-X2. Label the wires for future
reference.
3. Strip 1/4" of insulation from the end of each wire. Tightly twist the end of
each wire until no frayed ends remain.
4. Locate the snap and lock connectors and remove them if they are plugged
in.
5. Use a small flathead screwdriver or your thumb to raise the locking tabs,
exposing the holes on the connector.
6. Insert each wire into the appropriate hole and snap down the locking tabs.
7. Insert the smooth side of the connector plug into the smooth side of the
AB50-X2 socket.
8. Connect the variable line level output of the TV to the RCA terminals
labeled INPUT.
9. Connect the TV power cord to the terminal labeled CURRENT SENSING
AC OUTLET.
10. Connect the Multi-Zone Receiver wires to the terminal labeled SPEAKER A
IN.
11. Connect the Speaker wires to the terminal labeled SPEAKER A OUT.
12. Plug the AB50-X2 power cord into the un-switched AC outlet and adjust the
current sensing, using the sensitivity adjustment screw located on the
bottom of the unit.
13. Mount AB50-X2 to determined location.
