Important safety information
Thank you for purchasing this John Lewis & Partners
Table blender.
Please read the instructions and warnings carefully
to ensure a long life for your product and safe usage.
Thisinstructionleaetmustberetainedwiththe
product for future reference. These warnings have
been provided in the interest of safety. You MUST
read them carefully before using the appliance.

This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep
the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
Cleaning and maintenance should not be carried
out by children.
This product is not intended for use by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
unless they are properly supervised or given instructions
concerning the safe use of the item by a person
responsible for their wellbeing.

- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any part of the
appliance in water or other liquids.
- Unplug from the mains when not in use, when
removing or attaching accessories and before
cleaning any part of the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug. Should the item malfunction, or if it is
damaged in any manner, please stop using it and
return it to your nearest John Lewis branch. Do not
attempt to repair it yourself. Do not modify the
appliance plug.
- Do not let the power cord overhang the edge of
the surface on which it stands, or touch anything hot.
- When unplugging the device, hold the plug itself,
not the power cord.
- Do not use the appliance for any purpose other
than its intended use.
- This appliance is for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors.
- Do not use accessories or attachments that are not

- This product is intended for household and light
commercial use.

- Always disconnect the Table blender from the supply
if it is left unattended and before assembling,
disassembling.

- Do not use the appliance if the blades are damaged.

- CAUTION: Ensure that the blender is switched off
before removing it from the stand.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply
before changing accessories or approaching parts that
move in use.
- Always disconnect the blender from the supply if it
is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling.

Securing the jar lid Step 1
When securing the jar lid onto the
table blender, start by hooking the
plastic lid under the glass spout
of the jar

1. Unpack the table blender and place all the parts on a horizontal surface.
2. Immerse the jar, the jar lid and the measuring cup in warm soapy
water, then rinse and dry them. Never immerse the motor unit in
water; you risk an electric shock.
!
CAUTION! The blade is very sharp. Please handle it carefully.
For vegetable and fruit juice
1 Placetheblenderonaatsurface.Makesureitisunpluggedand
the speed knob is in the “off” position.
2 Prepare the vegetable or fruit, and place it into the jar. You may
need to add extra water to enable the blender to work properly
and achieve a good consistency. You should never exceed the
maximum level indicated on the jar.
3 Close the jar lid and place the measuring cup into position. If the
jar lid is not closed properly, the blender will not work.
4 Place the jar onto the jar base, and make sure it is installed correctly.
5 Plug in the blender.
6 Turn the speed knob to a speed setting between minimum and
maximum; the light ring will illuminate and the blender will start to
work. Alternatively, you can turn the speed knob to P (pulse) to
blend at high speed.
7 If you wish to add more ingredients to the jar while the blender is
working, you can remove the measuring cup and add them through
the jar lid before replacing the cup.
8 Once the mixture has achieved the desired consistency, turn the
speed knob to the “off” position.
9 Unplug the blender and then remove the jar from the motor unit.
Remove the jar cover, then pour and serve.
!
CAUTION!
- Never use hot liquids or run an empty blender.
- Do not attempt to remove the jar while the blender is working.
Ifyouneedtoremovethejar,turnofftheblenderrst.
- Do not operate the blender for more than 3 minutes at a time,
and allow 5 minute rest time between 2 continuous cycles. If to
operate the blender up to 10 cycles continuously, must rest it for 30
minutes to cool it down to room temperature.
- You must unplug the blender before removing the jar.
!
NOTE
- The Smoothie, Auto clean and Ice crush buttons will not work when
the blender is running under a selected speed setting or the “P” setting.
- When blending solid foods like vegetables or nuts with liquids,
a ratio of 2:3 is recommended. (2 parts solids, 3 parts liquids)

For smoothies
1 Placetheblenderonaatsurface.Makesureitisunpluggedand
the speed knob is in the “off” position.
2 Put the ingredients into the jar. Ensure you have enough liquid
content to create a smooth consistency, but make sure the amount
of ingredients does not exceed the maximum level as indicated
on the jar.
3 Close the jar lid and place the measuring cup into position. If the
jar lid is not closed properly, the blender will not work.
4 Place the jar onto the jar base, and make sure it is installed correctly.
5 Plug in the blender.
6 Turn the speed knob to “on”. All three buttons on the motor unit
will blink.
7 Press the smoothie button. The indicator light will stop blinking
and remain lit, and the blender will start to work.
8 If you wish to add more ingredients to the jar while the blender is
working, you can remove the measuring cup and add them through
the jar lid before replacing the cup.
9 After making the smoothie, the blender will stop working
automatically and the indicators of three buttons will blink again.
10 Unplug the blender and then remove the jar from the motor unit.
Carefully remove the jar cover, and pour and serve.
!
CAUTION!

To crush ice
1 Placetheblenderonaatsurface.Makesureitisunpluggedand
the speed knob is in the “off” position.
2 Place up to eight cubes of 15mm height, length and depth into the
jar, and replace the jar lid and measuring cup. You may need to add
extra water; normally, a good ratio is 2 parts ice to 3 parts water.
Make sure the amount of ingredients does not exceed the maximum
level as indicated on the jar.
3 Close the jar lid and place the measuring cup in position. If the jar
lid is not closed properly, the blender will not work.
4 Place the jar onto the jar base, and make sure it is installed correctly.
5 Plug in the blender.
6 Turn the speed knob to “on”. All three buttons on the motor unit
will blink.
7 Press the ice crush button. The indicator light will stop blinking
and remain lit, and the blender will start to work.
8 After crushing the ice, the blender will stop working automatically
and the indicators of three buttons will blink again.
9 Unplug the blender and then remove the jar from the motor unit.
Carefully remove the jar cover, and serve.
!
CAUTION!
- Do not attempt to remove the jar while the blender is working.
Ifyouneedtoremovethejar,turnofftheblenderrst.
- Do not use the product continuously for more than 3 minutes.
If using continuously for up to 3 minutes, allow a 2 minute rest
period afterwards.
- Allow a 30 minute rest period if using the product for more than
30 minutes at a time.
- You must unplug the blender before removing the jar.
!
Note
- You cannot adjust the blender with the speed knob when the
appliance is running under the ice crush mode.
- During the process of crushing ice, if you want to make the
appliance to stop working, you can press the ice crush button
again or turn the speed knob to the “off” position.

More information about
your blender’s functions
The smoothie function
The smoothie programme is one minute long, and runs at various
speeds to allow for a smooth blending result.
When you press the smoothie button, the light will remain lit,
and the other two button lights will switch off. The blender will then
operate at high speed for ten seconds, maximum speed for twenty sec-
onds, minimum speed for twenty seconds, and then maximum speed
fortensecondsbeforetheprogrammenishesandthethreebutton
lightsbegintoashagain.
The auto-clean function
Theauto-cleanprogrammeisforty-vesecondslong,andstops
and starts to allow for thorough cleaning of your blender.
When you press the auto-clean button, the light will remain lit, and the
other two button lights will switch off. The blender will then operate at
a low speed for six seconds, stop for a second, start again for a second,
stop for a second and start again for ten seconds. Then the blender will
thenoperateatmaximumspeedforveseconds,stopforasecond,start
again for a second, stop for a second and then operate for eight seconds
before working at maximum speed for another ten seconds before the
programmenishesandthethreebuttonlightsbegintoashagain.
The ice crush function
The ice crush programme is thirty seconds long, and stops and starts
in short bursts. When you press the ice crush button, the light will
remain lit, and the other two button lights will switch off.
The blender will then operate at maximum speed for a second and
then stop for two seconds, and will run this cycle a total of ten times
beforetheprogrammenishesandthethreebuttonlights
begintoashagain.
The pulse function
When you turn the speed knob to "P", the blender will
run at the maximum speed. The three function buttons will be dark.
Turning the speed knob from MIN to MAX
When you turn the speed knob to MIN, the blender will operate at
the minimum speed of 17000 ±15% rpm. When you turn the knob to
MAX, the blender will operate at the maximum speed of 22000 ±15%
rpm. Turning the knob from MIN to MAX, or visa versa, allows you to
smoothly change the speed of the blender. You will notice when you
use the speed knob in this way that the three function buttons are dark.
!
Note: do not operate your blender with an empty jug for more than
fteenseconds.Youmaybreaktheblenderifyoudo.

Before cleaning, make sure the blender is unplugged and the speed
knob is in the “off” position.
Auto-clean
The Auto-clean button can help to clean the blender and blade assembly
easily and safely.
1 After use, reassemble the jar and pour in about 400-500ml warm
water.
2 Turn the speed knob to the “on” position; the indicator lights on
the three buttons will begin to blink.
3 Press the Auto clean button once. The indicator light will stop
blinking and remain lit, and the blender will start to work.
4 Aftertheblendernishescleaning,theappliancewillstopworking
automatically and the indicators of three buttons will blink again.
5 Unplug the appliance and remove the jar from the motor unit.
Rinse the jar under running water.
6 Wipe the outer surface of the motor unit with a damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners. Never immerse the motor unit in
water or any other liquid.
All parts, except the motor unit, are dishwasher safe.
You can also wash the parts, except the motor unit, in warm, soapy
water. After washing, dry all parts and then reassemble. However, store
the appliance with the jar lid slightly open to allow air to circulate and
prevent jar odours.
Never immerse the motor unit in water.
Disassemble to clean blade assembly
To achieve a thorough clean of the blade assembly it may be necessary to
disassemble the jug unit.
!
CAUTION!-Removeallcontentfromtheglassjarrst.

CAUTION! - The blade is very sharp. Handle it carefully when cleaning.
1 Gripping the base, rotate clockwise to separate the blade assembly
from the glass jug.
2 Lift out the blade assembly taking extra care when handling the
blades.
The jug and blade assembly can be hand-washed or washed in a
dishwasher. Reverse the steps to re-assemble.
