WARRANTY INFORMATION
This amplifier is warranted, to the original Purchaser, to be free from defects in material and work-
manship for a period of five (5) years from the original retail purchase. This warranty is valid in
North America only.
The manufacturer shall, at its option, either repair or replace the defective product if the product is
returned to the original place of purchase. If any product returned is not defective within this war-
ranty, the manufacturer shall so advise the Purchaser and thereafter shall dispose of said product in
accordance with the Purchaser’s instructions and at the Purchaser’s cost. This warranty is not trans-
ferable by the Purchaser.
The warranty shall not apply to wearable parts, these items include, but are not limited to, amplifier
knobs, feet, and handles.
This warranty shall not apply if the product has been misused or damaged as a result of neglect, abuse,
alteration, improper handling, unauthorized repair or modification, accident or causes external to the
product, such as, but not limited to, excessive heat or humidity.
The manufacturer’s sole and exclusive maximum liability for any claim by the Purchaser, shall not
exceed the wholesale value of the product. In no event shall the manufacturer be liable for any indirect,
incidental, collateral, exemplary, or consequential damages or losses arising out of the Purchaser’s
purchase of the product. The above limitations may not apply in some states.

PANEL FUNCTIONS
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing this Johnson amplifier. Please read this manual carefully
and completely before operating your new amplifier.
POWER LIGHT
The LED glows when the unit is plugged into a power outlet and turned on. Please make sure
the power outlet voltage matches the voltage required by the unit.
EFFECT LOOP — RETURN
The RETURN jack receives a signal from an external effects device.
NOTE:
The RETURN jack
needs to be used with the SEND jack in order to complete the circuit.
EFFECT LOOP — SEND
The SEND jack sends out a signal to an external effects device.
LINE OUT JACK
This jack is used to send out the line level signal of the ampli er to other audio equipment such
as a mixing board, recorder, effects, tuner, etc.
FOOTSWITCH JACK
This jack is used to connect a single button footswitch for remote ON/OFF control of the
OVERDRIVE channel. The CHANNEL SELECTOR must be in the IN position for the footswitch
to work.
REVERB
The REVERB knob adjusts the level of reverberation/re ection effects created.
PRESENCE
The PRESENCE knob reduces or increases frequency attack and brightness, particularly in the
mid to high-end frequencies.
OVERDRIVE CHANNEL — BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE
These three knobs shape the ampli er's tone by adjusting the low, middle, and high frequency
ranges respectively while using OVERDRIVE.
OVERDRIVE CHANNEL — VOLUME
This knob controls the volume level of the OVERDRIVE channel.
NOTE
: This should be used in
conjunction with the OVERDRIVE CHANNEL — GAIN (10).

OVERDRIVE CHANNEL — GAIN
This channel adjusts the amount of distortion of the output.
NOTE:
This will also affect the
volume of the amplifier.
OVERDRIVE CHANNEL INDICATOR LIGHT
This LED light glows when the CHANNEL SELECTOR is in the IN position.
CHANNEL SELECTOR
To choose the CLEAN or OVERDRIVE channels, the IN position routes the input signal to the
OVERDRIVE channel, whereas the OUT position routes the input signal to the CLEAN channel.
CLEAN CHANNEL — BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE
These three knobs shape the ampli er's tone by adjusting the low, middle, and high frequency
ranges respectively while using the CLEAN CHANNEL.
CLEAN CHANNEL — VOLUME
This knob controls the volume level of the CLEAN channel (without overdriving).
CLEAN CHANNEL — GAIN
This channel adjusts the pre-amp level.
NOTE:
Higher levels will achieve a slight overdrive
breakup.
CLEAN CHANNEL INDICATOR LIGHT
This LED light glows when the CHANNEL SELECTOR is in the OUT position.
HIGH INPUT JACK
Connect the cable from the instrument's output jack to this jack if it has an average
output (i.e., Strat-Style and Les Paul-Style guitars). Always use an undamaged, shielded
instrument cable
.
LOW INPUT JACK
Connect the cable from the instrument's output jack to this jack. This jack is provided for
instruments that have extremely high outputs (i.e., active pickups) that can result in distortion
when connected to the HIGH INPUT JACK. Always use an undamaged, shielded instrument
cable.

PRECAUTIONS
POWER SOURCES
This product should only be operated when the power outlet voltage
matches the voltage required by the unit. If you are not sure of the type
of power supply to your outlet, please consult your product dealer or local
power company before operating the unit.
OBJECTS AND LIQUID
Do not insert objects of any kind into this product. It may touch dangerous
voltage points, which could result in fire or electric shock. Keep all liquid
away from the unit at all times.
SERVICING
Do not attempt to service this product yourself by opening or removing
covers. This may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer
all servicing to a qualified service technician.
HEAT
The unit should be set away from heat sources, such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves, or other appliances that produce heat.
CLEANING
Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid or
aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning the outside of the unit. To
clean the inside, take the unit to a qualified service technician.
SAFETY CHECK
Upon completion of any service or repairs of this product, ask the service
technician to perform a safety check to determine that the product is in
proper operating condition.
