BEFORE YOU START
Confirm internet access
While the JPS 1000 communicates
directly with the printer through a
hardwired connection, the Jolt App
does need an internet connection to
stay updated
Depending on your situation you may
need to coordinate with your network
administrator to connect your JPS
display to the correct wireless network
with the proper credentials.

PREPARE THE PRINTER
After removing it from its packaging, fo ow
these steps to set up the JPS 1000.
Loosen the wingnut(s) on the disp ay stand.
Raise the disp ay unti it is upright
Tighten the wingnut(s) to keep the disp ay in
p ace.
Position the disp ay
P ug the power cord into a power out et.
Connect to power
Press the power button on the printer, and
the orange status ight wi turn on
Within 30 seconds, the ight wi turn green,
indicating that the printer is ready.

Feed the end of the roll of labels under the
yellow guides, stickers facing up, onto the
roller at the front of the printer
Check that the roll of labels can spin freely.
Close the lid and press the pause button to
cancel the Paused state
The printer is now ready.
We recommend tearing labels off
up and to the right to avoid
unnecessary pressure on the print
head to increase printer lifespan.
Slide the tabs on each side of the printer
forward to unlock and open the lid
The printer will automatically go into a
Paused state when the lid is open
Inside the printer, pull apart the yellow label
holders and place a roll of labels between
them.
Load labels in the printer

Sometimes printers will feed a label
or two out the front when the lid is
closed, this is expected behavior to
align the labels.

Tap and hold the "Settings" icon in the top
right corner of the menu to navigate to
network settings
Select your wireless network, enter the
credentials, and tap "Connect."
On the display, swipe down from the top of
the screen twice rapidly for the options
menu to appear.
Connect to the internet
Press and hold the power button on the
display for 3 seconds to turn it on
The small power button is usually located on
the bottom side of the display next to the
large volume button.

Contact your network administrator
for help or questions about your
wireless network.

If prompted, select the location that matches
where your team will use the JPS
Also, select the "Multi-user device" option to
allow all team members to print labels from
the JPS.
Tap "Continue" then "Start download" to
download the required account and labeling
information to the JPS.
On the display, a dialog window may appear
requesting permission to access the printer.
If this happens, tap "OK".
Allow access to printers
If you are a Jolt Admin, tap "Sign in" where
you can sign in to Jolt with your username
and password.
If you are not a Jolt Admin, tap "Connect to a
location" and follow the on-screen steps to
scan a location QR code. The JPS display
has a built-in camera on the back side.
If needed, contact a Jolt Admin for
help with account information or
connecting the JPS to the correct
location.

If you see the sign-in screen, connect the
JPS to your Jolt account; otherwise, skip this
step.
Connect to your account

On the left of the screen, tap "Labels", then
select the matching label size.
If prompted, tap "Run calibration" to align
the print area to the labels.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner to
open the action menu, then tap "Printer
settings."
Navigate to the Labels module.
PRINTER SETTINGS
Press the "Test alignment" button at the
bottom of the screen to print a test label and
adjust the settings if necessary
Exit Printer Settings once you've finished
configuring the JPS printer.

To avoid printing issues, run printer
calibration every time a new label
roll is loaded in the printer.
