The JOUlink data collector automatically monitors and uploads AED
data such as device status, self-test results and location information
to facilitate remote AED maintenance and emergency treatment.
This product can upload information regarding the real-time status
and location of an activated AED, and record events and sounds
throughout AED operation. It enables the tracing and real-time
remote monitoring of AEDs and thus improves the efficiency of first
aid.
JOUlink should be used with the iAED-S1 from within the carrying case
exclusively designed for Jousing products.
The reference ID of the device is ICONNECTOR-C1.

The JOUlink product includes the main unit and the battery
pack as shown in Figure 2-1.

Detector Switch Detect if the device is on or off.

Outlet Transmit sound of microphone and buzzer.
Optical Transmission
Outlet Detect if the device is on or off using a light sensor.

Activation Button Press the button for 1 second when the device is in standby
mode to start connection and activate the device.

Status Indicator
Indicate the status of an active device.
A green indicator implies the device is ready for use while a
red indicator implies the device has detected an abnormality.

Low Battery Indicator
Indicate the battery remaining of an active device.
If the battery remaining is sufficient, the indicator remains
off. If the battery remaining is low, the indicator switches red.

Internet Connection
Indicator
Indicate the network connection status.
If the device is not connected, the indicator remains off. If
the device is connected or in communication, the indicator
will continuously flash.

AED Link Indicator
Indicate connection status to the AED Bluetooth.
If the device is not connected, the indicator remains off. If
the device is connected, the indicator will remain lit.

Battery Cover Seal the battery compartment. Open to replace the battery
or SD card.

Label Indicate the name, REF, ID and other information about the
device.

3.1 First Check
Check if the package seal and labeling are intact upon receipt. Open
the package and confirm all components listed below are included.

3.2 Connect and Activate
JOUlink can be activated by pairing with a Jousing’s iAED-S1 and
connecting to the Internet. Scan the QR code on the AED main unit for
detailed activation steps in the WeChat applet.

4.2 AED Routine Maintenance
Users can log in to JOUnet by using the account number
and password provided by Jousing Medical to check AED
operating status in real time.
Note: Please close the carrying case promptly after use to prevent unnecessary consumption of the data collector battery.

1The status indicator is red. The data collector needs repair. Contact Jousing Medical for service.
2The low battery indicator is red. The battery power is low. Replace the battery pack.
3The activation button does not work. 1. No battery pack is installed.

After the activation button is pressed, the
data collector chirps three times and fails
to connect to the Internet.
Long press the button (hold for
more than 10 seconds).
Press the activation button for 1 second and
stop after the data collector chirps. The data
collector should activate and connect to the
Internet.

The status indicator and the AED link
indicator simultaneously flash for 5
seconds, while the data collector chirps
for 5 seconds.
The AED cannot be found.
1. Ensure the data collector is within 1
meter of the AED.
2. Ensure no other AED is switched on
within 5 meter of the data collector.

connection indicator simultaneously flash
for 5 seconds, while the data collector
chirps for 5 seconds.
The data collector cannot connect
to the Internet.
Ensure your mobile phone signal is strong
(no less than 3 signal bars).
Troubleshooting

JOUlink can access and upload data such as the
operating status of the AED regularly (every week by
default). By using the account number and password
provided by Jousing Medical, users can log in to the AED
management system JOUnet (www.jousing.cn) or
WeChat applet “AED First-aid Map” to access information
such as AED location and status and the expiration dates
of its battery and pads.
If the AED malfunctions, please contact Jousing Medical
for service by using the “AED First-aid Map” applet or by
calling 400-820-9952.
The data collector updates location and starts audio recording automatically when it detects that the AED is turned on. The data
collector can also update information such as AED location to JOUnet in real time. Authorized users can monitor AED operation
on the cloud platform.
Once the carrying case is opened, the AED data collector
can monitor AED use in real time. The AED use can also
be reviewed on JOUnet;

6.1 Replace the Data Collector Battery
Remove the battery cover: As shown in the figure below, press the
two buckles with both hands to remove the battery cover.
Install the battery cover: Set the battery cover and clip it
into the sockets.
6.2 Pair with a New AED
Take JOUlink out from the carrying case and wait for
about two minutes until it goes into standby mode. Scan
the QR code on the ready-to-match AED’s tag to access
the WeChat applet and then follow the instructions.
6.3 Replace the Data Collector
Scan the QR code on the ready-to-match AED main unit’s
tag to access the WeChat applet and then follow the
instructions.

The device manufacturer provides an appropriate range of
warranty services within the warranty period. When claiming
warranty, users must show proof of purchase including dealer
name and purchase date. Warranty does not cover the
following:
Unplug the battery pack and remove it.
