Steam Iron
Before first use
■Remove the plastic protector
from the Soleplate (if one is
present).
■Completely unwind the Mains
Cable .
■Certain parts of the Iron have
been lightly greased as part
of the manufacturing process.
The Iron could give off a little
smoke when plugged in for the
first time. This is normal and will
cease after a short time.
■Iron an old/unwanted piece
of cotton fabric to clean the
Soleplate .
■Press the Steam Shot Button
and Spray Button 3-4
times to prepare the Iron for use.

Steam Iron
Filling
■Always disconnect the Iron from the electrical
outlet before filling.
■In areas with ‘soft’ water, tap water may be used in
the Iron. In areas with ‘hard’ water use distilled water
marketed as suitable for use in irons (not chemically
descaled or softened water).
1. Set the Temperature Control Dial to ●and the
Steam Control to .
2. Lift the Water Inlet Cover to open it.
3. Using a suitable jug slowly pour water into the Water Inlet
(pouring too fast will cause water to overflow).
4. Do not fill past the MAX marking.
5. Close the Water Inlet Cover .
■Wipe away any spillage before proceeding.
Switching on
1. Make sure your ironing board is stable and level.
2. Set the Temperature Control Dial to ●and the Steam Control to .
3. Sit the Iron on its Heel Rest and insert the Plug into a suitable power socket.
Turn on the power socket if necessary.
4. The Thermostat Light will illuminate.
5. Turn the Temperature Control Dial to the desired ironing temperature.
When the Iron reaches the selected temperature the Thermostat Light will extinguish.
The Iron will then maintain the temperature with the Thermostat Light illuminating
when the Soleplate is being heated.
Setting the temperature
The maximum temperature items should be ironed at is usually shown on the care label.

Iron multiple items in order of the temperature they require, starting with the lowest.
Dry Ironing
If dry ironing (without water in the Water Reservoir ) set the Steam Control to . Turn
the Temperature Control Dial to the desired heat level and wait for the Thermostat Light
to extinguish.

Steam Ironing
To successfully steam iron the Water Reservoir must
be at least ¼ full and the Temperature Control Dial
must be set to ● ● or higher.
1. Set the Steam Control to the desired level of
steam.
2. The Iron is ready to steam iron when the
Thermostat Light extinguishes.
Spray Function
Before using the Spray Function test for water spotting
on a hidden part of the fabric. The Water Reservoir
must be at least ¼ full.
1. Lift the Iron off the fabric, aim the Spray Nozzle
at the fabric.
2. Press the Spray Button .
NOTE: It may be necessary to press the Spray
Button several times to start the function.
Steam Shot Function
To successfully use the Steam Shot Function the
Water Reservoir must be at least ¼ full and the
Temperature Control Dial must be set to ● ● or
higher.
1. Lift the Iron off the fabric.
2. Press the Steam Shot Button .
Let the steam recharge for 4 seconds between each
use.
NOTE: It may be necessary to press the Steam Shot
Button several times to start the function. For the
best Steam Shot quality do not use the function more
than three successive times before allowing the Iron to
return to temperature.
Vertical Steaming Function
To successfully use the Vertical Steaming Function the
Temperature Control Dial must be set to ● ● ●
MAX and the Steam Control to .
1. Hold the Iron close to (but not touching) the fabric.
2. Press the button.
Let the steam recharge for 4 seconds between each
use.
NOTE: Do not use the function more than three
successive times before allowing the Iron to return to
temperature.
After Use/Storage
1. Set the Temperature Control
Dial to ●and the
Steam Control to .
2. Unplug the Iron and allow to sit
on its Heel Rest until it cools.
3. Once cool, open the Water Inlet
Cover , turn the Iron upside
down over a sink and drain the
Water Reservoir .
4. Close the Water Inlet Cover
and wipe away any spillage.
To avoid corrosion, store the Iron on
its Heel Rest .
Self Clean Function
Use the Self Clean function at least
monthly to reduce scale build-up.
1. Fill the Water Reservoir to the
Max mark.
2. To successfully use the Self
Clean function the Temperature
Control Dial must be set to
● ● ● MAX and the Steam
Control to .
3. Sit the Iron on its Heel Rest
, plug in and wait for the
Thermostat Light to
extinguish.
4. Hold the Iron over a heat
resistant basin or bowl, with the
Soleplate down.
5. Press and hold the Self Clean
Button while gently moving
the Iron over the basin or bowl.
6. Hot water and steam will flush
any scale and dust through the
Soleplate and into the basin
or bowl.
CAUTION KEEP CLEAR OF HOT
WATER AND STEAM
7. When the Water Reservoir is
empty, release the Self Clean
Button .
8. Follow the After Use/Storage
instructions.

Cautions
■The Iron should only be used as instructed:
there is potential for injury from misuse.
■Before use, check that your mains power
supply corresponds to the voltage referred
to in this manual.
■Do not use the Iron near water, in the
bathroom or outdoors.
■Never iron or steam clothing that is being
worn.
■Always disconnect the Iron from the
electrical outlet before filling.
■Never immerse the Iron in water or other
liquids.
■The Temperature Control Dial should
always be turned to ●(Min) before
plugging or unplugging from the mains
outlet.
■Do not connect the Plug into the mains
socket with wet hands.
■The Mains Cable should be positioned
so as not to cause an obstruction or where
it could accidentally snag or pulled by
children.
■Do not allow the Mains Cable to touch
hot surfaces.
■Do not switch on or attempt to operate
the Iron if it appears to be faulty in any
way, including damage to the Mains Cable
or if the Iron in leaking. Contact Judge
Customer Services at the address provided
in the warranty section.
■Never try to make any repair to the Iron
yourself - contact Judge Customer Services
at the address given in the warranty
section.
■This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience or knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
■Otherwise, always keep the unit out of
the reach of children. Do not leave the
Iron unattended when connected to the
mains or on an ironing board.
■This appliance is not intended to be
operated by means of an external timer
or a separate remote-control system.
■Burns can occur from touching heated
metal parts, hot water or steam.
■Use caution if you turn the Iron upside
down as there may be hot water in the
Water Reservoir .
■Do not leave the Iron unattended when
switched on. Your Iron is designed to sit
on the Heel Rest . Do not place the
Iron on an unprotected surface even if it
is on the Heel Rest .
■Avoid ironing over buttons, zips etc as
they may scratch the Soleplate .
■Unplug the Iron whenever it is not in
use.
■Pull the Plug (never the Mains Cable) to
disconnect from the mains socket.
■Before storing, disconnect the Iron from
the electrical outlet, allow the to cool
completely and empty all water.
■Please retain your purchase receipt.
Cleaning and Descaling
To clean the Iron exterior wipe the outer surfaces with a damp non-scratch cloth. Never use
harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents. Spots on the Soleplate can be removed with
a little vinegar and a non-scratch cloth. Never immerse the Iron in water or any other liquid.
If descaling is required use a product marketed as suitable for descaling irons. Follow the
instructions on the descaler. Before returning the Iron to normal use fill the Water Reservoir
with water and steam iron an old piece of cotton cloth to cleanse the iron of any remaining
descaler product.
