You can run the USBCassetteCapture viabatteriesoryourPCsUSB power.
Toinsertthe batteries, slide backswitchtoopen the USBCassetteCapture. Open the batterycomparment and
insert 2*AAbattery,and makesurethe batteryiscorrectlyalihned, then replacethe batterycompartment.
Orconnectthe USBoutputconnectorof devicetoPCsUSB Bus.
SoftwareInstallation
Insertthe SoftwareCD intothe CD drive,and read it.Pleasedoubleclick the “Audacity.exe”fileand followthe
onscreen instructionstoinstall the software.Oncethesoftwareisinstalled,and connectthe USBCassette
Capture toyourcomputerwithUSBcabletotransferyouraudio.

1, Eject:Slide thisswitchtoopen the cassetteholder.
2, Volume:Adjuststhe volumeof the headphonesand USB connection
3, Headphones: You can connect 1/8”headphoneshere
4,USB Connection:Usethe included USB cabletoconnectUSB CassetteCapturetoyourcomputer.For
transfering yourrecordingstoyourcomputer, wehaveprovided asoftwarepackage on the included CD.
5, Play:Press toplaythe tape
6, Stop:Press tostop the tape
7, FF/REW:Press tofastforwardorrewind the tape
Notethatthesebuttonswillbecome “reversed”whenthe tape changesdirection
8, DIR:Selectsthe direction oftape playback. Thisisusefulif you want toplaythe otherside of the tape without
having toeject it.
9,PlayMode:Selectswhatthe tape doeswhen itreachesthe end ofaside.When settothe “loop”icon, the tape
willautomaticallyswitchdirectionand beginplaying theoppositeside when one side hasfinished. Whensetto
the singlearrowicon,the tape willsimplystop when aside hasfinished.

Choose “I acceptthe agreement”and click “NEXT”togoforward

Doubleclick “Audacity”icon on yourdesktop, and select yourlanguage.

Pleasesetrecording devicetobe “USBAudioDevice”,and channelsto “2(Stereo)”.And select “SoftwarePlay
through (Playnewtrack whilerecording it)”.

Now, you can start torecordanalog audiotobe digitalMP3formatfile.
Beginplaying yourvinylorcassetteand click redrecordkey(see below)tostartrecording audio-when you want
tofinish, clickthe yellowstop key.
Forthe firsttimeyou dothis,youneed tofollowafewmorestepsif you wanttoexportasMP3file.Click “File”,

and select “ExportAsMP3”.
You need toselect afilenameand locationnow.
Ifrequested, you mayneed tolocatethe plug-insfile –“lame_enc.dll”–see below.
