and qualied in the safe operation of the equipment and its proper use. Examples of hazards are dropping, tipping or slipping of
loads caused primarily by improperly secured loads, overloading, off-centered loads, use on other than hard level surfaces, and
using equipment for a purpose for which it was not designed.

FUEL TANK SADDLE ADAPTER SETUP

 placebyscrewinginthelockingknobs(#11)asshowninthedrawing.
2. Installtheheightadjustmenttubes(#15)inthearmassemblies(#13)andsecurethemtothearmassembliesatthedesiredheight
 withthedetentpins(#14).
3. Thesupportpadassemblies(#16)havetwomountinglocationswhichenablethepadstobelocatedintowardsthecenterofthe
 adapterorfurtherawayfromthecenteroftheadapterdependingonthefueltanksizeandconguration.Securethesupport
 padassemblies(#16)tothetopholesoftheheightadjustmenttubes(#15)withthedetentpins(#14).
4. Feedthegroundscrew(#7)throughtheatwasher(#4),theelectricalconnectorendsofbothgroundwires(#2),andthroughhex
 nut(#5),andtightenthegroundscrew(#7)inthebaseassembly(#12).Itmaybenecessarytotightenthenut(#5)upagainstthe
electrical connectors to ensure the connectors are not loose.
INSTALLING THE FUEL TANK SADDLE ADAPTER ON UNDERHOIST TRANSMISSION JACKS
Thissaddleadapterisdesignedtotonthreetypesoftransmissionjacksaddles:
TYPE 1
TheK-ToolInternationalmodelKTI63131compactjackisequippedwith
thepopularratchetadjustmentarmsintheirsaddles.Seegure1.The
center of the saddle adapter has two rectangular shaped holes to accept
two of the ratchet arms, and the opposite ratchet arms will t against the
perimeteredgeofthecenterportionofthesaddleadapter.Centerthe
saddle adapter on the jack's saddle and tighten the jack's ratchet arms
againsttheadapter.Thelockrod(#6)canbefedthroughtheholesatthe
topoftwooftheratchetarmsandsecuredwiththeat(#4)washersand
wingnuts(#3)asshowningure1.Thissecuresthesaddleadapterto
the jack's saddle.
TYPE 2
Sometransmissionjacksareequippedwithatsaddleswitharmsthat
canbetemporarilyremoved.SeeFigure2.Thesaddleadaptercanbe
placed on the top of the jack's at saddle and centered in a position
where the oval holes in the saddle adapter align with two hole locations
in the jack's saddle. The two hole locations should be directly across
from each other so the jack's saddle and saddle adapter can be secured
togetherwiththetwocarriagebolts(#8),atwashers(#17)andwing
nuts(#18)provided.Iftheprovidedhardwarewillnotwork,usegrade
5hardwareorthemetricequivalenttosecurethetwoplatestogether.
TYPE 3
Somejackswillhavetohavetheirstocksaddlesremovedandreplaced
withtheadapterplate(#10)includedwiththesaddleadapter.The
adapterplate(#10)issecuredtothejack'srambytighteningthescrew
(#9)atthebaseoftheadapterplate(#10).SeeFigure3.Followthe
assemblyinstructionsforTYPE2jackstosecurethesaddleadapter
to the adapter plate.

1. Preparethefueltankforremovalaccordingtotheappropriatevehicleservicemanualinstructionsandprocedure.Drainthefuel
tank into a grounded storage container.
2. Pumpthejackupsothefueltanksaddleadapterisclosebutnottouchingthevehicle'sfueltank.Attachthealligatorclampatthe
 endofonegroundwiretothetransmissionjack.Attachthealligatorclampattheendoftheothergroundwiretotheliftthatis
 supportingthevehicle.IMPORTANT:PROPERGROUNDINGISACCOMPLISHEDWITHTHEALLIGATORCLAMPSAFFIXEDTO
 NON-PAINTEDORNON-COATEDPARTS.THELIFTSUPPORTINGTHEVEHICLEMUSTALSOBEGROUNDEDTOTHEEARTH.
3. Adjustthesaddleadapter'sarmassemblies,heightadjustmenttubesandsupportpadassembliestotthefueltank
conguration, and then center and balance the tank on the saddle adapter.
4. Raisethejacksothesaddleadaptermakescontactwiththefueltank,andmakenaladjustments.Makesurethelockingknobs
are tight and detent pins are inserted completely through their corresponding tubes.
5. Securethefueltanktothesaddleadapterbywrappingthetwotie-downstrapscompletelyaroundthetankandsaddle.Insertthe
tie-down straps through their buckles and pull them tight.
6. Makesurethetankisfreetobeloweredallthewaydownandtherearenotobstructions.Thejackmustbeloweredalltheway
before the tank can be transported.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedforthePREVENTATIVEMAINTENANCEsectionofthismanualtoalertyouto
potential personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
1. Alwaysstorethesaddleadapterinawellprotectedareawhereitwillnotbeexposedtoinclementweather,corrosivevapors,
abrasive dust, or any other harmful elements. The adapter must be cleaned of
water, snow, sand, grit, oil, grease or other foreign
matter before using
.
2. Everysaddleadapterownerisresponsibleforkeepingtheadapterlabelscleanandreadable.Useamildsoapsolutiontowash
external surfaces of the adapter.
3. Donotattempttomakeanyrepairsunlessyouareaqualiedrepairpersonthatisfamiliarwiththisequipment.Donotusethe
saddle adapter if it is damaged, cracked, broken or missing parts. Take it out of service until replaced or properly repaired by an
authorized service center.
K-Tool International warrants that all jacks and service-related equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a
periodof2yearsfollowingtheoriginaldateofpurchase.Thiswarrantyisextendedtotheoriginalretailpurchaseronly.Ifanyjackor
service-relateditemprovestobedefectiveduringthisperiod,itwillbereplacedorrepaired,atK-ToolInternational’soption,without
charge. This warranty does not apply to damage from accident, overload, misuse or abuse, nor does it apply to any equipment which
has been altered or used with special attachments other than those recommended. This warranty does not cover repairs made by

3. Ajustelosensamblesdebrazodeladaptadordesilla,lostubosdeajustedealturaylosensamblesdealmohadilladesoporte
para encajarse con la conguración del tanque de combustible, y luego centre y equilibre el tanque en el adaptador de silla.
4. Eleveelgatoparaqueeladaptadordesillahagacontactoconeltanquedecombustibleyrealicelosajustesnales.Asegúrese
que las perillas de seguridad estén apretadas y que los pasadores de detención estén insertados completamente por los tubos
correspondientes.
5. Sujeteeltanquedecombustiblealadaptadordelasillaalenvolverlasdoscoreasdesujecióncompletamentealrededordel
tanque y de la silla. Inserte las coreas de sujeción por sus hebillas y jálelas hasta que estén apretadas.
6. Asegúresequeeltanqueestélibreparabajarsecompletamenteyquenohayaningunaobstrucción.Elgatodebebajarse
completamente antes de que el tanque pueda estar transportado.

arenilla, aceite grasa u otro material foráneo antes de usarse.
2. Cadapropietariodeadaptadordesillaseráresponsablepormantenerlimpiasylegibleslasetiquetasdeladaptador.Useuna
solución de jabón suave para lavar las supercies externas del adaptador.
3. Nointenterealizarningunareparaciónalmenosqueustedseaunapersonacalicadaenreparaciones,familiarizadaconeste
 equipo.Nouseeladaptadordelasillasiésteestádañado,agrietado,rotoositienepiezasfaltantes.Dejedeusarlohastaquese
hayan repuesto las piezas o hasta que éste haya sido adecuadamente reparado por parte de un centro de servicio autorizado.
