THE NATURE OF HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
The use of portable automotive lifting and support devices is subject to certain hazards that cannot be prevented by mechanical means,
but only by the exercise of intelligence, care, and common sense. It is therefore essential to have owners and personnel involved in the
use and operation of the equipment who are careful, competent, trained, and qualied in the safe operation of the equipment and its
proper use. Examples of hazards are dropping, tipping or slipping of loads caused primarily by improperly secured loads, overloading,
off-centered loads, use on other than hard level surfaces, and using equipment for a purpose for which it was not designed.

extends out the top of the post.
6. Fitthebearingassembly(#6)overthescrew(#4)andthenthreadtheadjustinghandle(#5)ontothescrew(#4).
7. Securethesaddlebase(#3)tothetopofthescrew(#4)withthelockingbolt(#17).Securethesaddlepadassy(#2)tothesaddle
 base(#3)withthefourbolts(#1).
8. Inserttheentirepostassemblythroughthetopoftheconnectingplate(#9)andthepositioningplate(#23).Securethepost
 assemblytothetripodstandusingthepin(#19)andRpin(#18).Insertthepin(#19)throughtheholeintheconnectingplate(#9)
 andanycorrespondingholeinthepost(#7).Makesurethepingoesthroughbothsidesoftheconnectingplate(#9)andthepost
 (#7)beforesecuringthepin(#19)withtheRpin(#18).
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
   ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedfortheOPERATINGINSTRUCTIONSsectionofthismanualtoalertyoutopotential
personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
1. Makesurethevehicleisproperlysupported,stableandattherequiredworkheightbeforepositioningthestand(s)underthe
vehicle component to be supported.
2. Consulttheliftandvehiclemanufacturerfortheproperpositioningoftheunderhoiststands.
3. Oncethestand(s)hasbeenpositionedproperlyunderthevehicle,holdthestand'ssaddleinplacewithonehandwhileturningthe
 spinhandleinaclockwisedirectionwiththeotherhand.Removetheonehandfromthestand'ssaddlewhenitcomescloseto
making contact with the vehicle.
4. Continueturningthestand'sspinhandleinaclockwisedirectionuntilitapplieslightpressureagainstthecomponent.This
pressure should not exceed what is required to support the vehicle. Excessive pressure might cause the vehicle or its component
to become unstable.
5. Beforeremovingthestandfromthevehicle,makesurethevehicleisstillproperlypositionedonthelift.Removalofthestandcan
be accomplished by turning the spin handle in a counterclockwise direction until the stand's saddle is clear of the vehicle.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedforthePREVENTATIVEMAINTENANCEsectionofthismanualtoalertyouto
potential personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
1. Alwaysstorethestandinawellprotectedareawhereitwillnotbeexposedtoinclementweather,corrosivevapors,abrasivedust,
or any other harmful elements. The stand must be cleaned of water, snow, sand, grit, oil, grease or other foreign matter before using.
2. Useageneralpurposegreasetolubricatetheextensionscrew.
3. Everystandownerisresponsibleforkeepingthestandlabelscleanandreadable.Useamildsoapsolutiontowashexternal
surfaces of the stand. If product labels are lost or not legible, contact an authorized K-Tool International repair center for
replacements.
4. Inspectthestandsbeforeeachuse.Donotusethestandsifanycomponentiscracked,brokenorbent.Donotusethestandif
it has loose or missing hardware or components, or is modied in any way. Take corrective action before using the stand again.
 Prematurewearingordamagetocomponentscausedbylooseormissinghardwareisnoteligibleforwarrantyconsideration.

K-Tool International warrants that all jacks and service-related equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a
periodof2yearsfollowingtheoriginaldateofpurchase.Thiswarrantyisextendedtotheoriginalretailpurchaseronly.Ifanyjackor
service-related item proves to be defective during this period, it will be replaced or repaired, at K-Tool International’s option, without
charge. This warranty does not apply to damage from accident, overload, misuse or abuse, nor does it apply to any equipment which
has been altered or used with special attachments other than those recommended. This warranty does not cover repairs made by
anyonewhoisnotaK-ToolInternationalProfessionalLiftingEquipmentAuthorizedRepairCenter.
AllHDandXDjacksorservice-relatedequipmentwillbereplacedorrepairedatK-ToolInternational’soptionduringthe2yearwarranty
period.
Duringthe2yearwarrantyperiod,allallegeddefectiveproductsmustbeshipped,freightprepaid,alongwithproofofdate-of-purchase,
to your nearest K-Tool International Professional Lifting Equipment Authorized Warranty Center. Be certain to include your name,
address and phone number along with proof-of-purchase information, and a brief description of the alleged defect. The product will be
returned to the customer, freight prepaid.
ManyallegeddefectivesmaysimplybehandledbycallingyournearestServiceCenterforparts.Seepages14-16foralistingof
authorized warranty service centers.
In no event shall K-Tool International be liable for incidental or consequential damages. The liability on any claim for loss or damage

podrían ocasionar peligros, tales como la ruptura del uido hidráulico presurizado de las mangueras o acoplamientos, así ocasionando
lapérdidadecarga,labajadanocontroladaolacaídadelacarga.Lasinclinacionesoresbalonesdelacargasonocasionados
mayormente por el ensamble inadecuado y la sobrecarga y se pueden dar las cargas no centradas si no se siguen las instrucciones.

3. Unavezquesehayancolocadoadecudadentela(s)base(s)debajodelvehículo,sostengalasilladelabaseconunamano,
 mientrasquesegireelmangoderotaciónenelsentidodelasagujasdelrelojconlaotramano.Quitelamanodelasilladela
base cuando ésta está al punto de hacer contacto con el vehículo.
4. Sigaagirarelmangoderotacióndelabaseenelsentidodelasagujasdelrelojhastaqueseapliqueunapresiónligeracontrael
 componente.Lapresiónnodebeexcederlaqueserequieraparasoportarelvehículo.Unapresiónexcesivapuedeocasionarque
el vehículo o su componente se vuelva inestable.
5. Antesdeextraerlabasedelvehículo,asegúresequeelvehículoestécolocadoadecuadamentesobreeldispositivode
 levantamiento.Sepuedelograrextraerlabasealgirarelmangoderotaciónenelcontrasentidodelasagujasdelrelojhasta
que la silla de la base se haya despejado del vehículo.

jabón suave para limpiar las supercies externas de la base.

un centro de reparaciones autorizado de K-Tool International por repuestos.
4. Inspeccionelasbasesantesdecadauso.Nouselasbasesdesoportesicualquiercomponenteestéagrietado,roto,odoblado.
 Nouselabasesicuentaconferreteríaocomponentesojosofaltantes,osiéstahayasidomodicadadecualquierforma.Tome
 accionescorrectivasantesdeusarlabasedenuevo.Eldesgasteprematuroodañosaloscomponentesocasionadospor
ferretería oja o faltante no son elegibles para consideraciones de garantía.

 poignéederotationdanslesenshoraireavecl'autremain.Enlevezlamaindelaselledusupportquandellevientprèsd'établirle
contact avec le véhicule.
4. Continuezdetournerlapoignéederotationdusupportdanslesenshorairejusqu'àcequ'ilappliqueunelégèrepressioncontre
 lecomposant.Cettepressionnedevraitpasdépassercequiestexigépoursoutenirlevéhicule.Unepressionexcessivepourrait
rendre le véhicule ou son composant instable.
