Force test rig 1014062 for gas
springs with initial force

With reference to Fig. 1
1. Before using the force test rig, it
should be fixed to a stable flat sur-
face. Strömsholmen AB recommends
the four drilled Ø11 holes in the base
plate (1) be used to secure the test
rig.
2. Lower the height of the bottle jack
(2a) by opening the valve (2b) ma-
king sure to close it again when the
jack has reached its lowest position.
3. Place the gas spring (3a) in the
centre of the lower plate (4) with the
piston rod (3b) facing upwards.
The gas springs piston rod should
be placed in the centre of the load
cell (5) during the test.
4. Remove the locking pin (6) from the
upper plate (7).
5. Lower the top plate onto the gas
springs piston rod.

cell (5) during the test.
6. Secure the top plate by inserting the
locking pin through the top plate and
closest hole above the piston rod.
7. Raise the bottle jack by pumping the
handle (2c) until the lower plate (2c)
reaches the sop plate (8).
8. Wait 30 seconds before reading off
the springs force from the scale (9).
9. Lower the bottle jack according to
step 2.

1. Innan kraftprovbänken tas i bruk skall
den säkras mot ett stabilt underlag.
Strömsholmen AB rekommenderar
användning av de fyra Ø11 fästhålen i
bottenplattan (1).
2. Sänk ned domkraften (2a) genom att
öppna säkerhetsventilen (2b). Stäng
säkringsventilen när domkraften gått
ned i botten.
3. Placera gasfjädern (3a) i centrum på
underplattan (4) med kolvstången
(3b) i riktning uppåt.
Gasfjäderns kolvstång skall under
testen vara placerad i centrum på
kraftgivaren (5).
4. Tag bort låspinnen (6) ur topplattan
(7).
5. Sänk ned topplattan tills kraftgivaren
träffar gasfjäderns kolvstång.

6. Säkra topplattan genom att föra in
hela låspinnengenom närmast övre
passande hål.
7. Höj domkraften genom att pumpa
med handtaget (2c) tills underplattan
når stopplattan (8).
8. Vänta 30 sekunder och avläs värdet
på skalan (9).
9. Sänk ned domkraften enligt steg 2.
