IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance,
and always follow the safety and operating instructions.
Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old
and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or
with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance
and the risks involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 years and supervised. Never leave the
appliance and its cord unsupervised and within reach of children less
than 8 years old or irresponsible persons, especially when it is
plugged into the wall or when it is cooling down.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the
appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the appliance for damages. Never use
the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In
that case, repairs should be made by a competent qualified
electrician( ). Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced
by a competent qualified electrician( ) in order to avoid all danger.
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way
indicated in these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any
reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power
supply.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry
environment.
Never use accessories which are not recommended by the
producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to
damage the appliance.

Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord
cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the
appliance and do not bend it.
Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and
storing it.
Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of
the appliance.
The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be ery high
when the appliance is in use. Make sure not to touch these
hot parts of the appliance.
Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with
inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in
use, as a fire might occur.
Be careful not to scratch the special coating of the cooking plates,
as you might get little pieces of this coating into the food. Use a
classical wooden spatula or a heat-resistant plastic one.
Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, especially
since it is not equipped with an on/off switch.
Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked.
Your appliance must never be switched on through an external
timer or any kind of separate remote control system.
Please note: Should the symbol be indicated on a certain
surface, you need to be careful when handling the product. This
symbol means: CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during
use.
The symbol is always put on the surface with the highest
temperature, however the other metallic or non-metallic surfaces
can also become very hot during use and it is therefore advisable
to always handle them with care and if possible with the help of
isothermal gloves or other thermal protection. In case of doubt
concerning the temperature of a certain surface it is always
preferable to protect oneself.

producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and
competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger.
In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.

HORT CORD IN TRUCTION
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in,
or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
• The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least 16 ampere. An extension
cord of less than 16 ampere could overheat and get damaged.
• The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

• Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will
disappear after a short time. Therefore it is recommended to let your appliance work
empty for 10 minutes before the first use with the thermostat in its maximum position.
• When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
• Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. Select the cooking temperature
using the thermostat knob. The red pilot light and the green ready light will come on to
indicate that the appliance is switched on and heating.
• The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During use,
this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is
regulating the appliance's temperature.
• When the appliance has reached the right temperature, open it by lifting the upper plate
with the handle.
• Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
• The non-stick coating allows you not to make use of grease or oil for most foods. For low-
fat foods such as fish or vegetables, you can grease the grill plate, but if the fish or
vegetables are marinated, it is not necessary.
BAKING FOOD DIRECTLY IN THE APPLIANCE
• When the appliance has reached the temperature, open the lid and if necessary lightly
brush the bottom baking plate with butter, margarine or cooking oil. Since the appliance
has a non-stick coated surface, the use of butter or oil is optional.
• Now put the foodstuffs on the bottom baking plate and close the appliance again.
• The baking times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste.
Do not forget to turn the food regularly.
• When the foods are ready, remove them from the grill and put them in the appropriate
dish. Do not use any sharp or metal utensils to remove them from the grill, as this might
damage the non-stick coating. se a wooden or plastic spatula.
• When you have finished baking, put the thermostat in minimum position "0", unplug the
appliance and leave it open so that the baking plates can cool down.
BAKING WITH THE ILICONE MOULD
• When using the appliance with the silicone moulds, it is not necessary to grease the
baking plate.
• Fill the silicone mould with your preparation, put the mould on the bottom baking plate
and close the appliance again.
• The baking times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste.
• se an oven glove to remove the silicone mould.
• When you have finished baking, put the thermostat in minimum position "0", unplug the
appliance and leave it open so that the baking plates can cool down.
To increase the capacity of your "oven" you can use the extension ring that is delivered with
your appliance.
If you wish to use the extension ring on the appliance, it is necessary to adapt the height of the
upper part of the appliance with the adjustable hinge.

PRACTICAL HINT
• Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
• To grill meat, put the thermostat in its maximum position and preheat the grill. For other
ingredients, choose the temperature accordingly.
• Never scratch the special non-stick coating. se a wooden spatula or a heat-resistant
plastic spatula.

RECIPE FOR MUFFIN
English muffins
2 cups of unbleached white flour
1 cup of warm water
1 cup of whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon of dry yeast
1 teaspoon of salt
Cornmeal
Apple muffins
½ cup of butter
1 cup of granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 apples (cooked and mashed)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Chocolate muffins
2/3 cup of baking cocoa
2 eggs
2 cups of flour
1 cup of chocolate chips
½ cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 1/3 cups of milk
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla
½ teaspoon of salt
RECIPE FOR DONUT
- 260 g flour
- 130 g sugar
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- 250 ml milk
- 5 tablespoons of oil

RECIPE FOR GUGELHUPF (B NDT CAKE)
Natural cakes made of homemade batter
Ingredients:
200g self-rising flour
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
200g sugar
200g melted butter
4 eggs
Preparation:
Let the butter melt.
Beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.

Then add the melted butter.
Sift the self-rising flour.
Beat the self-rising flour into the mixture.
You can also use other homemade recipes or liquid cake mix AND/OR powdered cake mix.
Preparation:
Prepare the batter as indicated in the recipe or on the packaging of the liquid or powdered
cake mix.
Baking:
Preheat the appliance.
Then pour the batter into the baking forms. The baking forms normally do not have to be
buttered, but if you notice that the cupcakes are hard to remove when they have been
baked, it is advised to grease the baking forms lightly before the next baking process.
Let them bake for 5-7 minutes, not longer so that they remain nice and smooth on the inside.
Please note: the cooking time may vary depending on the type of cake mix used.
TIP: after baking, you can garnish the cupcakes for instance with chocolate sprinkles, sugar
pearls...
CLEANING AND CARE
• Before cleaning, put the thermostat in minimum position "0", unplug the appliance and
wait for it to cool down.
• The extension ring and the silicone baking moulds can be washed in soapy water. Do not
use any abrasive scouring pad for the plastic materials. Rinse with clear water and let
them dry before using them again. Do not put them in a dishwasher.
• Wipe the outside only with a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or
grease enters the cooling slots.
• Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with a paper towel or a soft cloth.
• Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will
damage the finish.
• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
UK TYLE PLUG WIRING IN TRUCTION (IN THE UK ONLY)
You must only plug the appliance into a 220-240V, 50Hz power supply. Connecting it to other
power sources may damage the appliance.
This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp
plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse conforming to BS1362 and be ASTA
approved.
IMPORTANT
The wires on the power cord are colour coded:
blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.
The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (&
yellow).

e, Team Kalorik SA/NV, hereby confirm that our product meets the requirements of regulation
1275/2008/EC. Admittedly, our product does not dispose of a function to minimize the power
consumption, which should according to regulation 1275/2008/EC put the product in off or
standby mode after finishing the main function, but this is practically impossible, as it would
compromise the main function of the product so strongly, that using the product would no
longer be possible!
For this reason we always tell the customer in our instruction manual to unplug the appliance
immediately after use.
GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year.
This does not cover the product where the fault is due to misuse, abuse, use in contravention of
the instructions, or where the product has been the subject of unauthorised modifications or
alterations, or has been the subject of commercial use.
In the unlikely event of a problem with the product within the guarantee period please return it
to the place of purchase. If the item is shown to have had an inherent defect present at the
time of sale, the seller will provide you with a replacement. Your statutory rights remain
unaffected.
