INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ATTENTION:
While using for the first time, a very small amount of smoke may come out; this
is just caused by the warming up of some components.
Place the appliance on a flat surface.
Make sure the plate is closed during pre-heating phase.
Before use, mount the appropriate grooved grill plates (A):
- insert the interchangeable plates in the bottom and top part of the grill, by aligning the
rear slots with the hooks on the appliance body, turning them slightly until they
click into place (Fig. 2).
Note: The two plates are interchangeable.
- Plug appliance in. The temperature light (D), signaling heat-
ing phase, goes on.
- Turn the dial (B) to select the required temperature setting.
- Make sure the plate is closed during pre-heating phase.
- The light (D) turns off when the appliance reaches the tem- perature (after about 3
minutes) and is ready for use.
OTHER TYPES OF USAGE
Grilling with wide open plates (Fig. 3)
- This appliance is ideal for grilling meat, toasts, etc.
Cooking position with open plates (Fig. 4)
- This position is suitable to grill fish, skewers, vegetable, etc. and offers a very wide
surface, ideal to cook various kinds of food at the same time.
Oven grilling position (Fig. 5)
- This appliance is ideal for warming up pizza, etc.

In order to be able to use your device in an efficient way, please carefully read the user’s
manual and keep it for future reference.
IMPORTANT NOTES
The basic safety measures must be always followed during the use of all electrical
devices.
“Unless the supervision of a person who is responsible for the safe use of the device
is provided, this device is not intended for use by persons who have physical,
sensorial or mental disabilities (including children), or persons who do not have the
required level of experience or knowledge.”
• Please check and make sure if the mains voltage inthe place of use is
compatible with the voltage value specified on the Karaca brand Grill and
Sandwich Toaster.Our company cannot be held responsible for any failure that
may occur as a result of an incompatibility, and such failures are processed out
of the product warranty coverage.
• This device is for domestic use only. It cannot be used for industrial or
commercial purposes.
• In order to protect the device from failures, please do not use extension cables
that do not provide sufficient amount of electric current.
• Please keep the device out of reach of children.
• Please do not place the device on or near direct heat sources such as ovens or
stoves.
• Please ensure that the cable of the device does not hang from the edges of a
table or countertop, or come into contact with other devices or hot surfaces.
• Please use the device on a flat and fixed surface that is resistant to heat.
• After use, please unplug the device and leave it to cooldown, and move the device
only after it cools down.
• Please keep the device unplugged during cleaning and when it is not in use.
• Please never turn the device on if the heating plates are not properly assembled.
Please NEVER immerse the device in water for cleaning or other purposes. In
addition, please prevent the entrance of water/water vapour in the device.
• Please do not touch the metal parts while the device is on.
• Please avoid actions that may damage the cable and plug of the device. Hold the
plug itself when you want to unplug the device and NEVER tryto unplug by
pulling the cable.
• Please do not use the device, if the cable or the plug is defective or gets damaged
as a result of dropping or for other reasons. Do not attempt to fix the device
yourself and call Karaca Call Centre.
• Please use the device in accordance with the recommendations for use.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
• You can use Karaca Grill and Sandwich Toaster for various purposes including
warming up or cooking dishes, grilling, preparing sandwiches and toasting.
• Your KARACA (Type of HG2015) Grill has been designed for grilling food as
described in this manual. This appliance is intended for indoor household use only.
This appliance is intended to be used in: farm houses; bed and breakfast type
environments.
• This appliance is not intended to be used in: Staff kitchen areas; in shops, offices
and others working environments; by clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments
•This appliance is intended it is not suitable for professional use.
• The temperature setting knob and warning light ensure safe operation of the
device, prevent overheating and provide that the dishes are cooked in the desired
level by keeping the cooking surfaces at the required temperature.
• You can remove the non-stick heating plates of the device by gently pressing the
holding clips.
• Before the first use of the device, please clean the heating plates by use of warm
water and a little amount of dishwashing detergent. Afterwards, dry and
reassemble the heating plates. A clear sound from the clips would reveal proper
placement of the heating plates.
• Please slightly lubricate the heating surface before the first use of the device.
• Plug in the device and apply the maximum temperature setting. A slight smoke
and odour may arise, which would automatically disappear after a while.
TEMPERATURE SETTING (Min / Max)
You can set the temperature applied by the device by rotating the setting knob in both
directions (Min / Max), based on your intended use.
COOKING FUNCTIONS
Sandwiches and Toasts
• Plug in the device and adjust the temperature setting knob to the desired point in
order to apply preheating. The thermostat/warning light will go off when the
device reached the required temperature.
• Apply oil on the outer surfaces of your toast or sandwich breads and close the
upper body gently.
• Cooking time would depend on the actual situation, sandwich materials preferred
and personal taste. Both sides of your sandwich or toast are cooked simultane
ously by the device.
• Since the device has non-stick heating plates, you can also cook sandwiches or
toasts without applying oil.
Double-Sided Grill
• Apply preheating by taking the temperature setting to the maximum level.
• Place the material to be cooked on the lower heating plate and close the upper
body.
• You do not need to reverse the dishes in the double-sided grill.
• Your grills will be ready at the end of the desired time of cooking.
• Open the upper body carefully and take the dishes out of from the heating plate
by use of a wooden spatula.

Single-Sided Grill
• Apply preheating by adjusting the suitable temperature setting.
• Place the material to be cooked on the lower heating plate.
• Open the upper body 90° by pulling it vertically upwards.
• When the upper body is open, you can grill your dishes without contact with the
upper heating plate.
• Take the dishes out of the heating plate by use of a wooden spatula.
NOTE: Since the thermostat constantly keeps the desired temperature during use, the
thermostat/warning light can be occasionally on and off.
WARNING:
1-NEVER touch the outer surfaces of the device during use, since they would also
heat-up. Only use the handle to open the upper body. When the upper body is
opened, or while it is closed during regular cooking, vapour may come out
between the heating plates of the device. Be careful while taking dishes out of
the device.
2- Only use plastic or wooden tools to take dishes out of the heating plate in order
to avoid damage on the non-stick surfaces. Never use metal tongs, forks or
knives, which may damage the non-stick coating.
CONDITIONS TO BE OBSERVED DURING MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND USE
• Never attempt to dismantle and repair the device, if it is out of order.
• Do not turn on the device and consult the authorized technical service, if the
device drops on the ground, it is exposed to a hard impact, or any fracture or
crack appears on it.
• Never attempt to replace damaged cables or plugs yourself and consult the
authorized technical service.
• Please do not carry the device by holding its cable.
• Please hold the plug itself when you want to unplug the device and nevertryto
unplug by pulling the cable.
• Please keep the device unplugged when it is not in use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Please firstly unplug the device and leave it to cool down before cleaning and
maintenance.
• Please clean the heating plates after every use in order to protect the non-stick
material coated surfaces.
• You can clean the heating plates by use of a soft piece of cloth or a plastic brush
and warm soapy water, or wash them in the dish washer.
• Resistor marks may appear on the heating plates because of the heat applied. It
will be enough to wash the plates to get rid of the marks.
• Please do not use abrasive materials such as metal brushes or wires in order to
avoid causing damage on the non-stick material coated surfaces.
• After removing the heating plates, you can clean the resistors and heat reflection
trays by use of a piece of damp cloth.
• By winding the cable on the cable holder, you can keep the device in vertical
position thanks to the automatic locking function.
• NEVER immerse the device in water, except the heating plates.

POINTS TO CONSIDER DURING TRANSPORTATION
• In order to avoid damage on the various parts of the device, it must be kept in its
original box during transportation.
• Please keep the device in its ordinary position during transportation.
• Please pay attention not to drop the device during transportation and protect it
against impacts.
• Damages and failures that occur during transportation after the delivery of the
device to the user are not included in the warranty coverage.

KARACA
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1.The product is under TWO YEARS warranty coverage starting from the date of delivery.
2.The product, including its all parts and components, is our Company’s warranty.
3.In case a failure occurs on the product during the warranty period, the time spent for repaid is added
to the warranty period. Repair time for the product cannot exceed 20 business days, starting when the
failureis notified to the technical service or to the seller, dealer, importer or manufacturer if there is no
technical service. In case an industrial product failure is not eliminated in 10 business days, the
importer of the exporter is obliged to make available another industrial product with comparable
properties for the use of the consumer.
4. In case a failure occurs on the product during the warranty period because of a material,
workmanship or manufacturing defect, the product is repaired without demanding any workmanship
or spare parts cost, or any other fee under any title.
5.The product is replaced with a new one free of charge in case,
- the number of the failures that occur is four or higher in a year, or sixor higher within the warranty
period specified by the manufacturer and/or importer, provided that such failures make the product
constantly unavailable, or
- the maximum allowable repair time is exceeded, or
- there is no technical service station and it is specified in a report issued by the seller, dealer, agency,
exporter or importer (in order of availability) that the failure is impossible to be repaired.
6.Any failure resulting from the use of the product in breach of the principles specified in the user’s
manual is out of warranty coverage.
7.Any workmanship or other similar fee cannot be demanded from the consumer for periodical
maintenance services that are stipulated by the manufacturer or the importer and required to be
performed by technical service station during the warranty period.
8.Any problem that may arise in relation to the warranty certificate can be referred to the Ministry of
Industry and Trade, General Directorate of Protection of Competition.
9.The use of this document has been authorized by the “GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF CONSUMER
PROTECTION AND MARKET SURVEILLANCE OF THE MINISTRY OF CUSTOMS AND TRADE”, based
on the Consumer Protection Law number 4077 and the Communique on the Warranty Certificates
Implementation Principles that was put into force under the said Law.
POINTS TO CONSIDERED BY THE CONSUMER REGARDING PRODUCT WARRANTY
This warranty, issued by KARACA ZÜCCACİYE TİC. VE SAN. A.Ş. ,is invalid in the following conditions:
1.Damages and failures that occur during loading, unloading or transportation after the product’s
delivery to the consumer.
2.Damages and failures that occur because of excessively high or low voltage, improper electric wiring
or exposure to voltage different from the value specified on the product label.
3.Damages and failures that occur because of fire or stroke of lightning.
4.Damages and failures that occur because of the use of the product in breach of the principles
specified in the user’s manual.
Repair works for the failures defined above canbe performed for a fee. Transportation of the product
to the place of use and its installation are not included in the product price.
This Warranty Certificates becomes invalid if it is falsified, or the original serial number on the product
is removed or distorted.

KARACA
WARRANTY CERTIFICATE
CONDITIONS AND COVERAGE OF WARRANTY
1.The warranty period if TWO YEARS and this WARRANTY CERTIFICATE must be kept during the said
period, since it is required to be presented to benefit from the product warranty.
2.The warranty period can be extended for the period after the initial 2 years (e.g. 2-5 years), based on
the conditions and an agreement between the parties.
3.Since the date of invoice is taken as the basis for disputes that may arise during the warranty period,
presentation of the invoice or its photocopy is also required together with the certified Warranty
Certificate.
4.The product warranty becomes invalid when the invoice of the warranty certificate is falsified, or the
original serial number on the product is removed or distorted.
5.The product warranty becomes invalid when it is understood that the installation of the product was
not performed by our company’s authorized services, or the device was subjected to unauthorized
dismantling.
6.In addition to the failures that occur because of the misuse of the product or its use under abnormal
conditions, the following failures are out of our company’s WARRANTY coverage:
- Damages and failures that occur because of the use of the product in breach of the principles
specified in the user’s manual or the installation manual.
- Damages and failures that occur because of excessively high or low voltage, improper electric wiring
or exposure to voltage different from the value specified on the product label.
- Damages and failures that occur because of disasters such as fire or flood, and damages and failures
that occur during loading, unloading or transportation after the product’s delivery to the consumer.
7.No one other that the consumer specified on the invoice and the warranty certificate can claim any
right and/or compensation.
