• Before starting the engine, make sure that the saw is not in contact with any objects.
• Do not use a chainsaw that is damaged, improperly adjusted or not correctly installed.
• Make sure that the chain stops moving when the throttle is released.
• Follow the instructions in the manual on how to start a chain saw and make sure to hold the
chain saw with a rm grip on the handles.
• Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil. A chainsaw should never be carried around with
the engine running.
• When transporting your chain saw you must use appropriate protective guards which
should be provided for the guide bar or chain.
• Protection against kickback hazard. Kickback occurs when the bar makes an upward move-
ment. This occurs when the chainsaw, at the front of the bar, come into contact with an
object. Kickback can cause you to lose control of the saw and can be very dangerous.
• A chainsaw is intended to be use with two hands. Careless use of the chainsaw can result a
serious injury to the operator, helpers, and / or by standers.
• Pull the cover (Fig. 1) towards the front handle to check that the chain brake is not activated.

• Check the working area, the object to be cut and the cutting direction.
• Before you begin cutting, make sure that the working area is cleared.
• Take care and keep bystanders and animals away from the area within 5m in diameter.
• Makesurethemachineisnotwornout,havelooseordamagedparts.Donotuseifdamaged,
incorrectly, or if not installed correctly. Make sure the sawchain stops moving when the
throttle is released.
CHAIN OIL
Use lubricating oil intended for the chain saw.
Use of proper lubricating chain-oil when cutting limits wear to a minimum between the chain
and the guide bar. This prolongs the life of the product. Always use oil of good quality.
NOTE! Never use discarded oil. Always use a biodegradable environmentally friendly lubricant
designed for bar and chain, gentle both to nature and chainsaw parts.
HAND GUARD
This saw is equipped with a chain brake that stops the chain in the event of a kickback. You
must check the chain brake before each use by running the saw at full throttle for about 2
seconds and pushing the front hand guard forward.
The chain should immediately stop the engine at maximum speed. If the chain stops too slow-
ly or does not stops at all, the brake band and clutch drum must be replaced before the saw
can be used again. It is essential that the chain brake is properly checked before each use and
that the chain is sharpened to maintain security on this saw.
Removal of safety equipment, inadequate maintenance or incorrect replacement the bar or
chain may increase the risk of serious injury due to kickback.
CHAIN BRAKE
The machine is equipped with an automatic brake that stops the chains rotation when kick-
back occurs. The brake system is automatic and controlled by a mechanical force responsive
to the weight of the front shield.
This brake can also be controlled manually with the front hood that folds down to the bar.
Release the brake by pulling up the front guard toward the handle until a “click” is heard.
NOTE! BE THOROUGH WITH THE DAILY INSPECTION OF THE BREAK.
Checking the chain break:
• Turn o the engine.
• Hold the saw horizontally and let go of the front handle, let the guide come in contact with
a tree stump or similar object and check that the brake is activated. Operating levels vary be-
tween dierent bar sizes. If the brake does not work, you must submit the saw for inspection
and repair to your nearest dealer. The engine can be at high rpm for extended periods because
of warmed up clutch which can lead to problems. When the brake is activated during opera-
tion, you must immediately release the throttle.

Table of contents
Never touch the chain while the engine is running.
Before using the machine you must read the sections entitled “SAFETY” and “PRODUCT IN-
FORMATION”. We recommend that you start by practicing sawing smaller logs. This also helps
you to learn the proper use of the chainsaw.
Always follow the safety rules. The chainsaw must only be used to cut wood. It is forbidden
to cut any other types of materials. Vibrations and kickback vary between dierent materials
and the requirements for safety are not met by cutting into other materials. Do not use the
chainsaw as a lever to lift, move, or to share objects. Lock it in xed positions. It is forbidden to
assemble the tools or attachments that are not specied by the supplier.
It is not necessary to force the chainsaw to cut the log . Apply only light pressure while the
engine is running at full throttle. Do not try to pull out the chain saw with violence if it gets
stuck in the cutter, but use a wedge or a skewer to break up the log.
STARTING THE ENGINE
Plug the saw’s power cord into an outlet. Start the chain saw by pressing the throttle. Always
hold the saw rmly with both hands when the engine is running. Use a rm grip with thumbs
and ngers around the handle. Keep all body parts away from the machine while the engine is
running. Before starting the engine, make sure that the chain is not touching anything.
INSTALLING NEW CHAIN
New chains are stretched out and must be adjusted periodically. Adjusting the chain should
only be done when the chain is cold. First lubricate the chain and bar with oil, then start the
chain saw and put it on it’s average speed. Make sure the oil pump is working properly. Stop
the engine and adjust the chain’s tension. Start the saw again and make a pair of cut on a log
to warm up the chain. Stop the engine and let the chain cool and adjust again. Repeat this
process until the chain gets the right tension. Do not touch the ground with the chain.
DANGER!
CHECK THE OIL PATTERN
Start the engine and drive chain on the average
speed and see if the oil is spreading as shown in
the picture

Table of contents
CHECK THE OIL PATTERN
STOPPING THE ENGINE
Warning!
WARNING: Kickback may occur when the nose or tip of the guide bar touches an object, or
when the wood closes in and pinches the saw chain in the cut.Tip contact in some cases
may cause a lightning fast reverse reaction, kicking the guide bar up and back towards the
operator. Pinching the saw chain along the top of the guide bar may push the guide bar
rapidly back towards the operator. Either of these reactions may cause you to lose control of
the saw which could result in serious injury to user.
Release the throttle
Ventilation
AFTER USE
Turn o the chainsaw and unplug the power. Clean the unit before storing. Be extra careful
and make sure the air intake is free from dirt. Use a mild detergent and sponge to clean the
plastic parts. Store in a dry place out of reach of children. Make sure the chain is clean when
storing in a longer period of time and keep the chain saw guide bar chain oiled.
Warning!
Maintain safety.
Dangerous accidents may occur when:
Improper maintenance or removal of safety devices.
Always follow the instructions carefully
Always test the chain saw before performing any operation, check that the chain saw stops as
soon as you release the throttle handle. Do not use chain saw if this does not occur. The chain
saw must not be used until the fault is corrected.
