1 KDS-100 Outline
1. KDS-100 Outline
This section explains the outline of the KDS-100.
Refer to this section when explaining the outline of the
KDS-100 to your customers.
1.1. What is the KDS-100?
The KDS-100 is a data terminal used to perform data
transmission in a transceiver system. The user can
easily select and send pre-registered messages with
the press of only a couple of keys.
The user can select messages on the display. The
display can also show help messages during
transmission so the user can easily see what is
happening.
It is possible to change messages and assign key
functions using the “FPU” programming software. In
addition, it is possible to select various functions to
meet your operational requirements. The software is
used on a PC and the programmed configuration is
uploaded to the KDS-100 via the
KPG-46 programming cable.
The KDS-100 should be connected to a FleetSync
compatible KENWOOD TK-x80 series or TK-x60G
series transceiver. You can use an optional connection
cable, KCT-34 or KCT-35 to make the connections.
The receiving party must have an operating
environment or configuration that allows you to view
and select characters transmitted from a TK-x80
series or TK-x60G series transceivers, and the KDS-
100 to make message transmissions. This can be
accomplished by using a FleetSync application
software package on a PC obtained from a third party
vendor.
1.2. KDS-100 Features
Following is a list of KDS-100 features:
• Send/ receive stored messages by connecting the
KDS-100 to a KENWOOD TK-x80 or TK-x60G
transceiver. The receiving party must have an
operating environment or configuration that allows
you to view and select characters transmitted from
the TK-x80 series or TK-x60G series transceivers,
and the KDS-100 to communicate.
• Send messages to specified recipients by selecting
a recipient ID or to all recipients at the same time.
• Store messages.
• The FPU, KPG-71D, allows you to configure the
messages and operations of the KDS-100.
1.3. Supplied Items
Following is a list of items supplied in the package.
Body
• KDS-100
This is the KDS-100 data terminal. It displays
messages and is used to transmit and receive
messages.
Accessories
•Base mounting bracket
The bracket used to secure the KDS-100 to a
base.
•Rear-mounting bracket
The bracket is used to attach the KDS-100 to the
base-mounting bracket.
Note: There is an angle adjustment where the base and the rear
mounting brackets connect. This allows the user to adjust the
terminal position to one of five different angles
• Screw set
The screws required for securing various
accessories to the KDS-100.
• Rear adjustment screws
The screws required for connecting the rear
mounting bracket to the base mounting bracket.
Instruction Manual
•Instruction manual
Explains how to install and operate the KDS-100.
The manual is available in six languages: English,
French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Dutch.
Software
•KPG-71D (Disk)
The Field Programming Unit (FPU) software is
used to configure the KDS-100 functions.

1. KDS-100 Outline
This section explains how to connect the KDS-100 to a
transceiver. Refer to this section when explaining the
installation of the KDS-100 terminal to your customers.
A list of compatible transceivers is also available.
Ensure the transceiver currently being used is
compatible with the KDS-100 terminal before installing
the terminal.
2.1. Operating the KDS-100
The following items are required to operate the
KDS-100.
Transceiver The KENWOOD TK-x80 or
TK-x60G transceiver that has a
connection terminal. The
appropriate cable depends on the
transceiver type. Use the KCT-34
cable for the TK-x80 series and
KCT-35 cable for the TK-x60G
series transceiver. Refer to the
compatible transceiver list to
check that your transceiver is
compatile. {Refer to 2.3}
Power When using the KDS-100 in a
vehicle, use the car battery power.
Power is supplied through the
transceiver; the KDS-100 does not
require a separate cable.
Note: The receiving party must have an operating environment or
configuration that allows you to view and select characters
transmitted from the TK-x80 series or TK-x60G series transceivers,
and the KDS-100 to make message transmissions.
The following device is required to configure the
KDS-100 operation.
KPG-71D This software is used to
configure messages and
the various settings of the
KDS-100.
IBM PC or compatible
with Windows®
operating system
Required to run the FPU
software.
KPG-46 This is a cable used to
connect the KDS-100 to the
PC/AT or compatible PC. It
allows you to load the
programmed settings set in
the FPU to the KDS-100.
2.2. Connecting the KDS-100 to a
transceiver
Following is the procedures on how to connect the
KDS-100 to a compatible transceiver.
1 Switch the transceiver power OFF.
2Confirm the connection terminal of the KCT-34 for
TK-x80 series transceivers, or the KCT-35 for
TK-x60 series transceivers. If the cable length is too
short, acquire an optional terminal to extend the
cable length.
3Connect the transceiver to the KDS-100 terminal.
Ensure the socket direction before connecting the
transceiver to the terminal. Connect the terminal
firmly by inserting the socket until it clicks, so the
cable will not easily come loose.
Note: An optional KCT-36 extension cable kit (3 m) is also
available.

3. KDS-100 Operation
This section explains the basic operation of the
KDS-100. Refer to this section when explaining the
operation of the KDS-100.
You can configure the operational settings and
messages of the KDS-100 using the FPU.
The operational procedures and figures in this section
are the examples that can be used when adjusting the
configuration from the default configuration.
3.1. Appearance and parts
description
Below is a front view of the KDS-100.
The KDS-100 is normally operated using the keys on
its front panel. The following is a description of the
front panel:
1 Display
Sent, received or help messages appear on this 240 x
64 dot matrix LCD. The terminal can be configured to
display 3, 5, or 6 lines of text.
2 MENU key
There are three modes in the KDS-100. Press the
menu key to cycle through the Menu mode {Refer to
3.3.2.3.}, Status List mode {Refer to 3.3.2.4.}, and
Message List mode {Refer to 3.3.2.5.}. You can go to
the Terminal settings {Refer to 3.4.1.} by pressing and
holding this key for more than 1 second.
The Menu mode and Status mode may not be
available, depending on the programmed KDS-100
configuration.
Conditions when you cannot select the Menu mode:
 Edit →Screen Lockout in the Menu Screen
Settings is not selected. When none of the
configuration items of MENU are selected, you
cannot select the Menu mode. If the GPS
checkbox is greyed out even though it is selected,
the Menu mode is not available.
 When receiving TX STUN or TX/ RX STUN in
AIR mode.
Conditions when you cannot select the Status mode:
 Edit →FleetSync (DMS) Status List: If there is
no Status in the Status List 1 or Status List 2.
 Edit →FleetSync (DMS) →ID List: If there is no
ID set; TX Inhibit (Status List) is set as “No”.
 When receiving TX STUN or TX/ RX STUN in the
AIR mode.
3 Function keys
There are 5 function keys [1] – [5] that are mainly used
to select operations. The functions performed by
pressing these keys may vary but most of them are
displayed directly above the respective key.
4 SEL (Select) key
Press to select a displayed item. In Status List mode,
press this key to switch the display between Status
List 1 and Status List 2. In Message List mode, press
this key to view the messages in the list.

Press to scroll the display. When the Message List is
displayed, use these keys to select the list.
6 LED indicator
Displays the current terminal status:
• Lights red when sending a message.
• Lights green when receiving a message.
• Flashes orange when a new message has not yet
been read.
• Lights orange when deleting the Flash ROM.
3.2. Operation of the KDS-100
3.2.1. Switch the KDS-100 power
ON to operate
The KDS-100 does not have a power switch; power is
supplied directly from the transceiver through the
cable attached to the KDS-100.
The following setup screen appears when turning on
the KDS-100 after the data is programmed in the
terminal. If there is no programmed data,
“Unprogrammed!” appears.

The display then switches to the previous display.
There are three types of setup screens: non-display,
any text, and any bit map data. Choose one of them by
adjusting the configuration in the KPG-71D. You can
also set the display time. The display will not change
unless you press the function key [1] due to the
configuration. {Refer to 4.2.3.3. Display}
3.2.2. KDS-100 Modes
KDS-100 has three basic modes.
Menu mode: This mode allows you to select a Status
call or a Selective call. {Refer to 3.3.2.3.}
Status List mode: This mode allows you to send the
selected status message to the selected recipient.
{Refer to 3.3.2.4.}
Message List mode: Message List mode displays a list
of all the messages stored in your terminal. You can
respond to any message from this mode. {Refer to
3.3.2.5.}
You can change the mode by pressing MENU.Press
MENU while in the Menu mode to switch to the Status
List mode display. Press MENU while in Status List
mode to switch to the Message List mode display.
Press MENU while in Message List mode to switch to
the Menu list mode. The following illustration shows
the relationship of these modes.
You can switch mode anytime.
It is possible to go to any mode by pressing MENU
several times while you are operating in another
mode.
In addition, you can go to the Terminal settings mode.
This mode allows you to adjust the KDS-100
configuration. {Refer to 3.4.1.}
3.2.3. Basic Operation
The KDS-100 has 9 keys. Below is a list of each key’s
function.
Menu key
MENU is used to change Menus. Press this key to cycle
through the Menu mode {Refer to 3.3.2.3}, Status List
mode {Refer to 3.3.2.4}, and Message List mode {Refer
to 3.3.2.5}.
The display sometimes switches into the top display of
each mode when you are opearating in a certain mode.
You can enter the Terminal settings {Refer to 3.4.1} by
pressing and holding this key more than 1 second.
Menu mode and Status mode may not be
available, depending on the KDS-100 configuration.
Conditions when you cannot select the Menu
mode:
 Edit →Screen Lockout in the Menu Screen
Settings is not selected. When none of the
configuration items of MENU are selected,
you cannot select the Menu mode. If the GPS

Press to select a displayed item. In Status List
mode, press this key to switch the display between
Status List 1 and Status List 2. In Message List
mode, press this key to view the messages in the
list.

Press to scroll the display. When the Message List
is displayed, use these keys to select the list.
You can find detailed operational information at each
mode description.
3.2.4. Switching the KDS-100 power
OFF
Switch the attached transceiver’s power OFF to turn
OFF the KDS-100. You do not need to save the data
when you turn off the KDS-100.
3.3. Sending/ Receiving a message
3.3.1. Receiving a message
The KDS-100 allows you to view received messages
from other terminals.
3.3.1.1. Message receipt display
When a new message is received, the terminal will
emit a beeping sound and the LED will flash
orange. You can disable these functions using the
FPU. {Refer to 4.2.3.3.} There are two types of
message receipt displays available in the KPG-71D
configuration.
The current display switches into the Message
receipt display or the New message receipt icon
appears in the right corner of the display. {Refer to
4.2.3.3.}
This display appears when you configure the
received message to appear automatically. This
display shows the time the message was sent, the
sender of the message, the message number, and
the first few lines of the message.
3.3.1.2. Operations at message receipt
You can perform two operations on this display
{Refer to 5}. Press MENU to return to the previous
display or press [OK] to read the entire message.
The following display is a Message List display.
This display allows you to view the entire message.
When reading the messages, depending on its
size, you may have to scroll to view the entire
message. Use the ∧

Note: You can respond and directly make a Status call from
this display by configuring “Quick Status Response Keys” in the
KPG-71D. When you directly respond to the message, press
the function key that you assigned the Status call in the
KPG-71D. {Refer to 4.2.3.3.}
3.3.2. Send a message
The KDS-100 allows you to send the message to other
terminals or TK-x80 series transceivers.
3.3.2.1. Status call and Sel. call
There are two types of transmission methods:
Status calls and Selective calls.
Status call: You can send pre-registered messages
to selected recipients. The receiving party’s terminal
displays the sender of the message, the time the
message is received, and the message number.
Note: TK-x80 series transceivers do not have the function
to display the time.

Selective call: You can communicate with the
selected recipient, but cannot send a message. The
receiving party receives the information of the
sender of the message only.
You can make a Status call or Selective call from
Menu mode and Message List mode. It is
impossible to make a selective call in Status List
mode since the mode is for Status call only.
3.3.2.2. Sending a message from each mode
You can send a message from Menu mode, Status
List mode, and Message List mode. Below is the
outline of how to transmit a message.
Menu mode: Send a message by selecting a
message and a recipient within the configured list in
Menu mode. It is possible to send a message to
someone who has not previously sent you a
message. This mode allows you to make a selection
from Status call and Selective call. {Refer to
3.3.2.3.}
Status List mode: This mode is for Status Call
only. Register the messages within the FPU that you
use often to make status calls easily. Although you
can send a message by selecting from any message
and any recipient, you cannot select Selective call.

Message List mode: This mode allows you to view
received messages as a list.
This list allows you to select the message and
respond to the sender of the message. Although you
do not need to select the recipient, you cannot send
a message to a recipient who is not stored in the
KDS-100. This mode allows you to make a selection
from Status call and Selective call. {Refer to
3.3.2.5.}
Following are explanations of the operation of each
mode and the message transmission.
3.3.2.3. Menu mode
In Menu Mode, you can select a message and
receiving party, then send the message. Therefore
you can send a message to a recipient configured
using the KPG-71D. At the same time, you can
send a message by selecting Status Call and
SelCall.
Note: Depending on the settings of “Screen Lockout” in the
KPG-71D, you occasionaly cannot select Menu Mode {Fig.
4.2.3.3. Menu Screen Settings}.
Description of the display
Below is the Menu mode display.
Press [STATUS] to enter the Status call display or
[SELCALL] to enter the Selective call display.
Return to the Menu mode display any time by
pressing MENU when operating the Menu mode.
Note:
 You may not be able to send a Status call from the Menu
mode due to the KPG-71D settings. {Fig. 4.2.3.3. Menu
Screen Settings} {Refer to 4.2.3.3. Key} In this case,
[STATUS] will not appear.
 The items that relates to GPS appears above the function
key [3] when the “GPS Function” and “GPS Key” are ON.
{Refer to 4.2.3.3. GPS} {Fig. 4.2.3.3. Menu Screen
Settings} [GPS OK] appears when the GPS device is
available or [GPS NG] appears when the GPS device is
not available.
Making a Status call in Menu mode
You can send a message by selecting the status
message and the recipient in Menu mode.

The following display appears when selecting
[STATUS] in Menu mode.
The recipient and the selected ID appear on the top
line of the display. The currently selected status
message is highlighted.
The following lines are status messages that you can
send.

Display description
Status List mode has two screens.

line. You can send a message to the destination ID that
is displayed after “Send to”. The message, which will be
sent by pressing the function keys appear at the bottom
of the display.
Note: You can change the status message shown by
adjusting the STATUS LIST 1 and STATUS LIST 2
configurations of the KPG-71D. The display may not switch

Message List mode allows you to view a list of all
the received messages. You can respond to any
messages without selecting the recipient. Although
you can send the message to any recipient, you
cannot send a message to a recipient that is not
stored in the KDS-100. You can select a Status call
or a Selective call.
The maximum number of stored messages varies,
depending on the size of the messages. It ranges
from 76 to 376 messages.
Display description
Message List mode has two displays. The titles of
messages are displayed as a list on both displays.
You can toggle between these two screens by pressing
function key [5].

TIME: This mode displays the message by order of
receipt. Sort with the message receipt time of the
KDS-100, not with the message stamps. (Default

NAME: This mode displays the messages in order
of the caller’s name. Sort the messages by the ASCII
code and display them in ascending order.
Lowercase and uppercase characters are not
considered. Check the first 10 characters of the
message and the following letters will not be used for
sorting.
TITLE: Check the first 10 characters of the
message to sort and then sort the messages by the
ASCII code and display them in ascending order.
Lowercase and uppercase characters are not
considered.
ICON: Sort the message by the order of messages
to be read, messages that have already been read,
and messages that have been checked.

messages so that you can select a certain message
among many messages. When you have the
message to which a response should be made,
check the message. You can uncheck the message
by moving the cursor to the already checked and
executing the [CHECK] command.

T[DELETE]: Delete the received message from
the Message List
You can assign this function-to-function key [3] on
the second screen to delete the currently selected
message from the Message List.
This command allows you to delete the currently
selected message from the Message List. The
message, however, will not be deleted from the
terminal’s memory. Addtional operations on the
terminal settings are required to delete the message
from the terminal’s memory.
Note: You may not be able to execute [DELETE] due to
the configuration of the KPG-71D. {Refer to 4.2.3.3. Key} In
this case, [DELETE] will not appear.
3.4. Configuring the KDS-100
3.4.1. Terminal Settings
3.4.1.1. What are Terminal Settings?
Terminal settings are the mode where you can
make adjustments to the KDS-100. You can adjust
the sound volume, the display brightness, the
display contrast, time, and delete message in this
mode.
Press and hold MENU more than 1 second to enter
terminal settings.
3.4.1.2. Description of the terminal settings
display
Terminal Settings mode has two screens.
You can toggle between these screens by pressing
function key [5].
First Screen
Following are explanations of how to assign the function
keys on the first screen.

volume when you operate KDS-100. {Refer to 3.4.2.}

You can adjust the sound volume from levels 0 to 31.

3.5.1. Reset mode
You can enter Reset mode by pressing MENU and

configuration is ON in the KPG-71D. The following

and volume to their default values, and deletes the
messages stored in the KDS-100. It does not affect
the display brightness or the numbers of lines

[4] [CANCEL]: The key cancels the current mode
and returns to the previously display.
Note: The previously display appears if you do not perform any
operation for more than 10 seconds.

3. KDS-100 Operation
4.1. Configuring the KDS-100
You can configure the KDS-100 to meet your
requirements. By changing message contents, the
status message, and registering new IDs, you can
create a comfortable operating environment.
Use the KPG-71D, which operates on a PC, to
configure the terminal. The KPG-71D is a Windows-
based software and you can use the mouse for main
operations. Configure the desired operational
parameters in the KPG-71D first, and then upload
them to the KDS-100.
4.1.1. KPG-71D Outline
KPG-71D is a Windows-based software that operates
on a PC. You can configure the operational
parameters of the KDS-100 using this software. For
example, you can configure the status message to
send and/or change the KDS-100 IDs.
You can also change configurations that do not relate
to the main operations or are set in the Terminal
Settings of the KDS-100, such as the display
configuration.
After you configure the operational parameters in the
KPG-71D, upload the parameters to the KDS-100.
You can also download the current configuration from
the KDS-100 using KPG-71D to confirm the operating
parameters.
4.1.2. Communicating with a PC
The KPG-71D software runs on a PC that uses the
Windows operating system. The PC must have at
least one unused serial port to connect to the
KDS-100.
4.1.2.1. Recommended System Requirements
PC: IBM PC or compatible with at least one
RS-232C serial (COM) port.
OS: Windows 95 or Windows 98
Note: The KPG-71 may not operate on non-standard PCs.
Windows 2000/XP will not be supported.
4.1.2.2. Installing the KPG-71D onto a PC
1Insert the KPG-71D disk into your disk drive.
2Access the drive in which you inserted the disk
and open the FPU folder.
3Run the Setup.exe program, provided on the
disk.
4Follow the instructions given in the installation
program.
While installing the KPG-71D software, you will be
prompted to enter the serial number.
4.1.2.3. Setting up the KPG-71D
Use one of the following methods to start the
KPG-71D program.
1Open the folder in which you installed the
KPG-71D and double-click the Kpg71d.exe file.
2In the Start Menu (in Windows), go to Program,
KENWOOD FPU, and select KPG-71D.
4.1.2.4. Connecting the KDS-100 to a PC
This section explains how to upload the
configurations made in the KPG-71D to the
KDS-100.
Required items to configure the KDS-100
The following items are required to upload the data to
the KDS-100.
1 PC: A PC with at least one serial port and the
KPG-71D software installed.
2 KDS-100: A KDS-100 terminal.
3 KPG-46: The connection cable that joins the
KDS-100 to the PC.
4 Transceiver: An applicable transceiver must be
connected to the KDS-100.
5 KCT-34 or KCT-35: The connection cable that joins
the KDS-100 to the transceiver. Use KCT-34 for
TK-x80 series and KCT-35 for TK-x60G series
transceivers.
If your PC’s serial port does not accept the DB-25
connector (D-sub 25 pin), use a general purpose DB-25
to DB-9 converter.
Connecting the KDS-100 to a PC
Following are the procedures to connect the KDS-100 to
a PC. Switch the PC and KDS-100 power OFF when
making the connection.
1Connect the connection cable to the PC’s serial port.
2Connect the connection cable to the modular jack
located on the rear of the KDS-100.
3Switch the PC and KDS-100 power ON.
You are ready to upload the data.
4.1.3. Required items list
The following items are required to customize the
KDS-100.
1KPG-71D: The KPG-71D is the software used to
configure the KDS-100.

Operations are displayed as icons in the tool bar.
Following are descriptions of the icons.
1New {Refer to 4.2.3.1. New}: Allows you to
create a new configuration file.
2Open {Refer to 4.2.3.1. Open}: Allows you to
open a saved configuration file.
3Save {Refer to 4.2.3.1. Save}: Allows you to
save a current configuration file.
4Print {Refer to 4.2.3.1. Print}: Allows you to
output current programmed configurations to a
printer.
5Read {Refer to 4.2.3.4. Reading from MDT}:
Allows you to download the configuration from
the KDS-100.
6Write {Refer to 4.2.3.4. Writing to MDT}: Allows
you to upload the configuration to the KDS-100.

Although you can perform the same operations
from the Menu, the tool bar allows you to quickly
perform operations with one click of the mouse.
Refer to the description sections for detailed

View allows you to display or hide the tool bar.

The status bar displays the current status.

4.2.2. Configuring The KDS-100
Following are the procedures required to create a new
configuration file and upload the configurations to the
KDS-100. Ensure that all hardware communications
are not operating.
1Create a new setting file by using the Files
command. {Refer to 4.2.3.1.}
2Configure the communication protocol by using the
Model command. {Refer to 4.2.3.2.}
3Adjust the configuration by using the Edit
command. {Refer to 4.2.3.3.}
4Configure the serial port by using the Setup
command. {Refer to 4.2.3.6.}
5Upload the configurations to the KDS-100 by using
the Program command. {Refer to 4.2.3.4.}
Some procedures are not always necessary. For
example, you need to configure the communication
protocol and the serial port just once. If you change
the operating environment,the serial port or introduce
a new transceiver, you need to adjust the configuration
again. Other operations are required to read the
configurations from the KDS-100 or saved files.
Refer to the descriptions of each command for details.

4.2.3. Command description
You can perform all operations of the KPG-71D from
the Menu. This section explains the operations of each
command.
4.2.3.1. Files
This command allows you to create a new
configuration file, save and load configuration files,
print out the configuration, configure the print
format, and quit the KPG-71D. The pull-down
menu appears when selecting this command.
New
Select “New” from the pull-down menu to create a new
configuration file. All the previously created data will be
deleted.
A message appears asking you to finish the operation,
after you finish executing the command. Select “OK” to
continue creating a new configuration data and “Cancel”
to abort.
A message appears asking you to save the
configuration data. There are three options: [Yes], [No],
or [Cancel].
[Yes]: The same display appears as when you
execute the “Save as” command. {Refer to 4.2.3.1.
Save as} If you select “Cancel”, the new
configuration data will be created and the current
configuration data will not be saved.
[No]: This option allows you to create new
configuration data and the current configuration data
will not be saved.
[Cancel]: This option allows you to abort creating
the new configuration data.
Open
Select “Open” from the pull-down menu to load the
saved configuration data.
The following display appears and allows you to select a
file to load.

Select a file and click [OK] to load it.
The message appears asking you to save the
configuration data. When selecting “Yes”, the same
display appears as when you execute the “Save as”
command and you can name the file and save it. {Refer
to 4.2.3.1. Save as}
The extension for the configuration data file created on
the KPG-71D is “.dat”. An error message appears when
you load the file that has a “.dat” extension that is
created by other applications.
Save
Select “Save” from the pull-down menu to save the
configuration data.
Amessage appears that asks you whether or not to
overwrite the data when a saved configuration file
already exists. Select [Yes] to overwrite the data or
“Save as” to save as the different file.
When saving the new configuration data, the same
display appears as when you execute the “Save as”
command and you can name the file and save it. {Refer
to 4.2.3.1. Save as} The extension of the configuration
data file created in KPG-71D is “.dat”.
Save as
The following window appears when selecting “Save as”
from the pull-down menu.
You can name and save the configuration data in this
window.
When configuring new data, you can name and save the
setting file whether the file exists or not.
The extension for the configuration data file created on
the KPG-71D is “.dat”. You do not need to enter the
extension; it is automatically saved.
Entered file File name
When entering a File name
in the input window, the created file name is [File name.dat].
When entering “File
name.dat” in the input

Note: You can save and load a data file that has the file name
“Other characters.dat”.
Print
The following window appears when selecting “Print”
from the pull-down menu. Print out the current
configuration data from this window.
Select the desired option(s) and click “OK” to print out
the following data.

▪Menu Key Settings
▪Emergency Information
You can adjust the following configurations by clicking
[Setup].
▪Select a printer if you use several printers.
▪Select a printer sheet.
▪Select the direction of the printer sheet.
Note: At least one printer must be connected to the PC to
execute the [Print] command.
Print Preview
Select “Print Preview” from the pull-down menu to
preview the image of the printed out data by executing
the [Print] command.
Exit
Select “Exit” from the pull-down menu to quit KPG-71D.
A message appears asking you to finish the operation,
after you execute the command. Select [OK] to continue
and [Cancel] to abort.
A message appears asking you to save the
configuration data if you quit the program without first
saving your data. There are three options: [Yes], [No],
or [Cancel].
