TheRogueSerieswheelchairequippedwiththeTransitOptionhasbeentested
toandpassedtheRESNAWC‐4:2012,Section19:Wheelchairsusedas
seatsinmotorvehiclesandISO7176‐19:2008Wheelchairs‐‐Part19:
Wheeledmobilitydevicesforuseasseatsinmotorvehicles.RESNAand
ISOstandardsaredesignedtotestthestructuralintegrityofthewheelchairas
aseatforuseinamotorvehicle.Thesestandardsarealsodesignedtocreate
compatibilitywithWheelchairTie‐downandOccupantRestraintSystems
(WTORS).
NotallconfigurationsoftheRogueSerieswheelchairsarecompatiblewiththe
TransitOption.KiMobilitymanagestheconfigurationanddoesnotofferthe
RogueSerieswheelchairexceptincompatibleconfigurations.Ifyoumake
changestoyourRogueSerieswheelchairafteryourreceiveit,youshouldcontact
yourwheelchairproviderorKiMobilitytomakesureitisappropriatetocontinueto
useyourwheelchairasaseatinamotorvehicle.
Aftermarketseatingmayhavereplacedtheoriginalequipmentseatandback
supportdesignedandtestedaspartoftheTransitOption.Yourwheelchair
providershouldtellyouiftheseatingtheyprovidedisoriginalequipmentor
replacementaftermarketseating.Acompletesystemofwheelchairframe,seating,
WheelchairTie‐downandOccupantRestraintSystemsandaproperlyequipped
motorvehicle,thathaveallcompliedwiththestandardsmentionedinthissection,
shouldbeinplacebeforeusingaRogueSerieswheelchairequippedwiththe
TransitOptionasaseatinamotorvehicle.
Whenusingyourwheelchairasaseatinamotorvehicleyoushouldalways
observethefollowinginstructions:
Theridermustbeinaforward‐facingposition.
Theridermustnotweighmorethan275lbs.
Backpacksandpouchesshouldberemovedandsecuredseparatelyinthe
motorvehicle.Intheeventofanaccidenttheseitemscanbecome
dangerousprojectiles,whichmayinjureorkillyouorotheroccupantsofthe
motorvehicle.

touseit,asitmayhavesufferedfatiguethatmaynotbevisible.
