UNPACKINGANDASSEMBLING
Unpacking Carton
Placecartoninaclear,open areasuchasgaragefloor. Remove supportstandbasesanduppercolumns
from carton.
Assembly
Placeabasesecurelyonthefloor. Inserttheuppercolumnintothe
lowersection ofbase. Liftthe handleand slowly insertthe column as
farasitwillgo. Becarefulnottodropthecolumnandbeawaretonot
trapfingers. Raisethecolumnuntilthedesiredheightisreached,
make sure the handle has returned to itsnatural position and the pawl
hasfullyengagedtheteethontheuppercolumn
-
donotexceedthe
maximumheightraisedofthevehiclesupportstand.
Oncethecolumnisinsertedlocatetheholedrilledinthebottomof
theupright.Usingasmallpunchandhammerinsertthesplitpin
provided, the split pinwill protrude onone side ofthe upper column,
the pinistopreventthe column being removed from the base.
Repeatforbothstands.
Preparing WorkArea
Before using vehicle support stands and a jack to lift vehicle, itis important to prepare work area properly.
Follow this procedure each time a jack and support stands are used to help prevent property damage and
orseriousinjury.
1.) Thoroughly inspect vehicle support stands for damage orwear before each use. Briefly test operation of
unloadedstandsbeforeusingtosupportanyload. Ifvehiclesupportstandsaredamagedorare
