possible to warn you about all the hazards associated
with operating or maintaining this product. At all times
you must use your own good judgment.
1. This product is not intended for use by persons (including
children)withreducedphysical,sensoryormentalcapabilities,
orlackofexperienceandknowledge,unlesstheyhavebeen
givensupervisionorinstructionconcerninguseoftheproductby
a person responsible for their safety;
2. Childrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethattheydonotplay
with the product.
3. Anearthaugerisahigh-torque,gasoline-poweredtool,special
safetyprecautionsmustbeobservedtoreducetheriskof
personal injury.
General warning

5. Read all instructions carefully. When using petrol powered
products,alwaysfollowstatedsafetyprecautionstoreducethe
risk of serious personal injury and/or damage to the product.
6. Keepyourworkareafreefrompets,animals,childrenand
bystanders.
7. Neverusethemachineinsideahomeorgarage,EVENIFdoors
andwindowsareopen.Runningthisproductinaconnedor
badlyventilatedareacanresultindeathduetoasphyxiationor
carbon monoxide poisoning. The product is for outdoor use only.
8. Take extreme care in wet and freezing weather conditions. Do
notworkinrain,windyorstormyweather.
9. Doalwaysvisuallychecktheproductbeforeuse.

3. Do wear a face and breathing mask. The use of this product
cangeneratedust,mistsandfumescontainingchemicalsknown
to cause respiratory damage.
4. Dousesafetysteeltoecappedfootwear,sturdycutretardant
snug-ttingprotectiveclothing,protectivegloves,eyeand
hearingprotectiondevices.
5. Keeprstaidkitathand.
Preparation
1. Do not operate the product when barefoot or wearing open
sandals.
2. Donotwearlooseclothing,longhairopenlyorloosejewellery
like necklaces etc. when operating the machine. They might be
caught by rotating parts and cause serious injuries.
WARNING!Petrolishighlyammable.
• Storefuelincontainersspecicallydesignedfor
this purpose.
• Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while
refuelling.
• Addfuelbeforestartingtheengine.Neverremove
the fuel tank cap or add petrol while the engine is
running or when the engine is hot.
• Ifpetrolisspilt,donotattempttostarttheengine
butmovetheproductawayfromtheareaof
spillageandavoidcreatinganysourceofignition
untilpetrolvapourshavedissipated.
• Replace all fuel tank and container caps securely.
3. Replace faulty silencers.
4. Beforeusing,alwaysvisuallyinspecttoseethatthedrillingtool,
locking bolt and R-clip are not worn or damaged. Replace worn
ordamageddrillingtoolsandboltsinsetstopreservebalance.
CAUTION! Do not touch rotating drilling tool.

Operation
1. Keep the handles clean and dry at all times; It is particularly
importanttokeepthemfreeofmoisture,pitch,oil,fuelmix,
greaseorresininorderforyoutomaintainarmgripand
properly control your product.
2. Donotoperatetheengineinaconnedspacewheredangerous
carbon monoxide fumes can collect.
3. Usetheproductonlyindaylightoringoodarticiallight.
4. Donotoperatetheproductwhilebeingtired,illorunder
inuenceofalcoholordrugs.
5. Do not lean against the machine during drilling.
6. Always beware of the rotating drilling tool.
7. OnlyusetheproductOUTSIDEandfarawayfromwindows,
doors,andvents.
8. The use of the product not according with the required
dimensions is forbidden.
9. The use of the product not being suitable for the intended or not
beingcertiedisforbidden.
10. Striking a hard object in the earth with the rotary drilling tool
and the resulting slowing or stopping of the auger creates
reactiveforces.Thetransferofrotational(reactive)forcescan
cause the auger gear box and handles to rotate suddenly in a
counterclockwise direction and can result in loss of control or
cause the handle frame to hit the operator or throw him to the
ground,resultinginseriousinjury.
11. The use of this machine may be hazardous. If the drilling tool
comesincontactwithyourbody,itcouldcauseimpact,cutor
entanglement.
12. Use your product only for drilling holes in soil with drilling tools.
13. Caution in slippery conditions - slip hazard - risk of injury. When
working,robustandnon-slipfootwear.Slides/stumble/traps
are a major cause of serious injury.

14. The hand-held earth auger is not allowed to be used on the
slope;Whenusedonaslope,theoperatormayeasilylosehis
balance and fall down.
15. Working on icy or slippery ground is forbidden!
16. Avoidusingtheproductinbadweatherconditionsespecially
when there is a risk of lightning.
17. Do not alter or tamper with any sealed adjustments for the
engine speed control.
18. Do not tamper or disable any product’s safety systems or
features.
19. Ensure and regularly check that all starting interlocks and
operator presence controls are properly functioning.
20. Stop the product according to instructions in this manual before
leavingtheoperator’spositionandparkitinasafelocation.
21. Avoidsettingdownahotunitontodry,ammablematerial,or
touchingthehotmufer.
22. Start the engine carefully according to instructions and with feet
well away from the drilling tool.
23. Keep hands and feet away from the drilling tool at all times and
especially when starting the engine.
24. Incaseofanysituationmentionedbelow,stoptheengineand
disconnectthesparkplugconnector,makesurethatallmoving
partshavecometoacompletestopand:
• beforeclearingblockages,
• beforechecking,cleaningorworkingontheproduct,
• after striking a foreign object. Inspect the product for damage
andmakerepairsbeforerestartingandoperatingtheproduct,
• iftheproductstartstovibrateabnormally(checkimmediately).

> check for and tighten any loose parts
• wheneveryouleavetheproduct,
• before refuelling.
25. Duringoperation,thegearbox,muferandthepartsaroundit
reach extremely high temperatures. Keep these hot parts away
fromyourbody.Otherwiseyoucouldreceiveseriousburns.

26. Neverpickuporcarryaproductwhiletheengineisrunning.
27. Nevertouchtheexhaust,exhaustguardorcoolingnswhenthe
engine is hot.
28. Nevercarelesslytouchhotpartsoftheproduct,youcanburn
yourself.Whiletheproductisinoperationorshortlythereafter,
itspartssuchastheexhaustpipe,engine,gearboxandother
surfaces are extremely hot! Pay attention to the markings on the
product.
29. Makesurethattheairventsofthecombustionengineareclear.
Keeptheairventsfreeofdust,dirtparticles,gasesandfumes.
30. Neverstartorruntheengineindoors.Theexhaustfumesare
dangerous,containingcarbonmonoxide,anodourlessand
deadlygas.Operatethisproductonlyinwellventilatedoutdoor
areas.
Maintenance and storage
1. Follow the maintenance and repair instructions for this product.
Nevercarryoutanymodicationsoftheproduct.Neverchange
the preset rotary speed or the engine and product settings.
Informationaboutmaintenanceandrepairisprovidedinthis
user manual.
2. Keepallnuts,boltsandscrewstighttobesuretheproductisin
safe working condition.
3. Impropermaintenance,usingnon-genuineparts,orremoving/
modifying safety components may lead to malfunction / failure of
the product and injury of operators. Many accidents are caused
by poorly maintained products.
4. Neverstoretheproductwithpetrolinthetankinsideabuilding
wherefumescanreachanopenameorspark.
5. Toreducetherehazard,keeptheengine,silencerandpetrol
storageareafreeofgrass,leaves,orexcessivegreaseto
reducetherehazard.
6. Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure. Clean
and maintain the product before storage.
7. Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,thisshouldbedoneoutdoors.
8. Wearstrongworkgloveswhenremovingandre-assemblingthe
drilling tools.
