please read this manual carefully, to get the best from your
new appliance in total safety.
This manual is an integral part of the product. Please keep it
for the entire life of the product. If you lose it, you can request
a copy the dealer.
After unpacking the product, check the condition and
completeness of the contents.
In the event of error, immediately contact the retailer where
the purchase was made, providing him with a copy of the
warranty booklet and the sales receipt.
The appliance must be installed and operated in compliance
with local and national law and European regulations. For the
installation, and for anything not specifically indicated in the
manual, observe local regulations.
The diagrams in this manual are illustrative; they do not
always refer specifically to your product and are not binding
in any way.
The product is uniquely identified by a number, the
“counterfoil”, which is indicated on the warranty certificate
inside the product.

• contact with the fire and hot parts (e.g. glass

• use of fuel different from the recommended fuel.

is a risk of deformation with risks for people in
the event of attemptedfixing up and irreversible
changes to the colour of the paint on the metal
parts. The retailer cannot be held liable.
• cleaning the hot fireplace. DO NOT EXTRACT
HOT. You risk compromising the extractor and,
possibly, smoke in the environment
• cleaning of the smoke channel with various
substances. DO NOT CLEAN WITH FLAMMABLE
PRODUCTS. There is a risk of fires, back draft.
• cleaning of the hot glass with unsuitable products.
DO NOT CLEAN THE HOT GLASS WITH WATER

INSTALLATION
PREPARATION AND UNPACKING
The coocker is delivered in a single package containing
the assembled coocker and finish options.

The packaging materials are neither toxic nor noxious
and do not require special disposal.
The user is responsible for storing, disposing or and
recycling them in a regulatory fashion.
Always move the coocker vertically with
suitable equipment and in observance of
safety regulations.
Do not turn the package over, and handle
all parts requiring installation with care.
On receiving the delivery, check

POSITIONING ON THE FLOOR
The coockers are equipped with adjustable feet for
compensating any unevenness in the floor.
Make sure to position the appliance on a level surface
Protection from heat and safety clearances

The surfaces of the building adjacent to the product
must be protected against overheating.
The insulation to be used will depend on the type of
surface in question.
The product must be installed in observance of the
safety conditions shown in the figure, which indicates
the clearances in mm.
If the floor is made of flammable or combustible
material, and not suited to bear the weight of the
appliance, we recommend installing a plate to
distribute the load and to protect the area in front of
the coocker against embers when cleaning the hearth.

TOP OUTLET (1)
The top outlet is the default configuration; no action need to be take to use this option
REAR OUTLET (2)
• Undo the bolts (3) securing the ring (4)at the top of the coocker.
• Remove the ring and fit the cast iron plate supplied with the coocker.
• Remove the plate at the rear (5)by undoing the bolts securing it.
• Remove the sheet closure (6)by breaking the 4 tabs holding it in place with a tool.
• Fit the ring to the rear with the 2 hooks (included) with the bolts used to secure the ring to the rear.

INSTALLATION
INTRODUCTION ON INSTALLATION
Remember that:
• the coocker must be installed by qualified staff
who can issue a Declaration of Conformity
• all the local and national laws and the European
Standards must be met for installation and use of
the product.
• In the event of installation in apartment blocks, ask
the administrator’s opinion beforehand.
The general instructions are provided below.
Checking the suitability of the installation
premises
• The volume of the room must be over 19 m3KE 90
H14 ; 28 m3KE 90 H20
• Installation is not permitted in bedrooms, bathro-
oms or premises with other products that take in
air for combustion of the same premises or in pre-
mises with an explosive atmosphere. Any extractor
fans, if working in the same environment or space
in which the product is installed, can cause draft
problems.
• The floor must be able to support the weight of the
coocker and the accessories.
CHIMNEY SYSTEM
(Smoke channel, chimney ue and chimney
stack)
This chapter is drafted according to the European
Standards EN 13384, EN 1443, EN 1856, EN 1457. The
installation technicians must take into consideration
these and any other local standards. The manual
should in no way be considered a replacement for the
laws in force.
The coocker must be connected to a suitable smoke
discharge that guarantees completely safe evacuation
of the smoke produced by combustion.
Before positioning the coocker, you need to check the
chimney flue is suitable.
SMOKE CHANNEL, CHIMNEY FLUE
The smoke channel (pipe that connects the smoke
outlet of the fireplace with the chimney flue inlet) and the
chimney flue must, along with other legal provisions:
• receive the discharge for a single product (multiple
product discharges are not permitted together)
• have a mainly vertical development
• no section should have a reserve slope
• have an inner section preferably circular and
however with a ratio between sides lower than 1.5
• complete the roof with the appropriate chimney
stack: direct discharge is forbidden on walls or
towards closed spaces, even if outdoors
• be created with materials with a fire reaction class
A1 pursuant to UNI EN 13501 or similar national
standard
• be appropriately certified, with an appropriate
fireplace plate, if metal
• keep the initial section

THE SMOKE CHANNEL

THE CHIMNEY FLUE:
• must have a draft capable of creating negative
pressure ideally around 11 Pa. Lower drafts can
cause leaking smoke if the door is open; higher
values tend to generate fast combustion by redu-
cing the yield
• must be correctly sized to meet smoke evacua-
tion (EN 13384-1)
• must preferably be insulated, in steel with a cir-
cular inner section. If rectangular, the inner edges
must have a radius under 20 mm and a ratio
between between the inner dimensions <1.5
• normally have a minimum height of 3.5-4 metres
• maintain a constant section
• be waterproof and thermally insulated to guaran-
tee draft.
• preferably create a collection chamber for unbur-
ned fuel and any condensate
THE CHIMNEY STACK
• must be wind-proof
• have an internal section equivalent to that of the
chimney flue and passage section outlet equal to
at least double the inner passage of the chimney
flue
• for paired chimney flues (which should be at least
2 m apart) the chimney stack of the chimney flue
receiving the product discharge with solid fuel or
that of the highest floor must be at least 50 cm
taller
• must go beyond the reflux zone
• must enable chimney maintenance
EXTERNAL AIR INTAKE
To resupply the oxygen burnt during combustion, the
room must be fitted with an air intake, preferably taking
air from outdoors.
Drawing fresh air from adjacent rooms communicating
with the kitchen must be assessed with care, pursuant
to current legislation, and with attention to the risk that
either of the rooms be subjected to underpressure.
The adjacent room may not be a bedroom, bathroom,
garage, or any area where there is a risk of fire.
The air inlet should be at floor level, and must have an
area of at least 200 cm² (dia. 16 cm)
Alternatively, you can draw the combustion air directly
from the outdoors.
Connect a dia. 10 cm tube directly to the rear of the
product (1), with a protective grille which does not
reduce the effective cross section of the intake.
It is advisable not to exceed 3 m of length, given the
draw of the flue.
ELECTRICAL HOOKUP FOR THE OVEN
LIGHT (KE 80 AND 90 W)
The oven light requires the electric coocker to be
hooked up to a 230 V 50 Hz mains socket. The light
draws 25 W.
To hook up the light, proceed as follows:
the power cord is not fitted with a plug.
The installer must fit a plug suited to the local socket
type.
We recommend checking the electrical system, in
particular its earth connection.

INSTALLING THE WATER CIRCUIT
Check local regulations
KE 90 H can be installed to circuits with open expansion
vessels (check local regulations), so long as you hook
up the fittings to the coil’s thermal discharge valve..
INSTALLATION
Never light the fire in the hearth (even to test
it) when the circuit is dry (no water); doing so
can irreparably damage the appliance.
PLUMBING
Plumbing depends on the type of system.
However, there are some “general rules”:
• the presence of an accumulator (tank) is
recommended but not mandatory. Its advantage is
that it releases the boiler from “sudden” requests
from the system and can be integrated with
other heat sources. It reduces fuel consumption
andincreases the efficiency of the system.
• the return temperature of the water to the
boiler must be higher than 50-55° C to prevent
condensation.. Edilkamin recommends using the
Anti-condensation kit for this purpose
• An accumulator (tank) is needed to heat
lowtemperature radiant panels, to be installed as
recommended by the manufacturer of the panels
themselves.
• the material used in the circuit must be suitable to
withstand overheating.
• direct plumbing to radiators prevents proper
operation, owing to the small diameter of theipipes.
Fit a bleed cock to the boiler's delivery bend.

INSTALLATION ON AN OPEN EXPANSION
VESSEL CIRCUIT
• The appliance and circuit must be filled with the
expansion vessel open, with the water fed by
gravity via the charging line (dia. at least 18 mm).
While this is being done, all radiator bleed cocks
must be open to prevent air bubbles forming in
the circuit and preventing the water circulating
properly.
• The open vessel must be at least 3 m higher than
the highest point of the primary circuit, and 15 m
lower than the product’s delivery. The height of the
vessel must in any case be such as to generate
greater pressure than that of the circulation pump.
• Never fill the circuit directly with mains supply
pressure, since this may be in excess of the
appliance’s pressure rating and result in damage
to the appliance itself.
• The safety line to the expansion vessel must be
able to vent freely without cocks and insulated to
prevent water freezing inside it, which can damage
the union.
• The charging line must be free, without cocks or
bends.
• Do not exceed an operating pressure of 1.5 bar.
• We recommend adding antifreeze to the water in
the circuit (refer to UNI 8065 or similar standard).
INSTALLATION ON A CLOSED EXPANSION
VESSEL CIRCUIT (supplementary instructions to
those for the closed vessel installation)
The pressure upline of the cooling circuit must be at
least 1.5 bar (UNI 10412/2 par. 6.2).
The thermal discharge valve (VST- OPTIONAL)
must be connected to the cooling circuit (AL) with a
pressure of at least 1.5 bar

DESCRIPTION
To facilitate comprehension of the following
paragraphs, we briefly describe the appliance how to
access its parts when using it.The numbers refer to the
following figure.
The product has:
• a hearth (1) into which the wood is loaded. The
door is with a handle.
• a wood drawer (2) , which can hold up to 30 kg of
wood, the door is with fixed handle.
• an oven (3) with visible thermometer. The door is of
the bottom-hung type with fixed handle. The oven,
which is enamelled black inside, has the following
equipment:
• removable grille;
• removable fat tray.
• a removable ash drawer (4)
COMBUSTION CONTROL EQUIPMENT
(please see the picture)
Primary air adjuster knob (A)
Combustion air adjuster knob: inside and to the side
of the door tray. Turn it clockwise to increase the flow
of air to combustion.
Starter device (B)
mounted to the front of the coocker, promotes fumes
discharge to facilitate lighting the fire
Always use the provided gloves when
the coocker is hot.
ISTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FUEL
The coocker was designed to burn wooden logs or
sawdust briquettes.
Use dry wood logs (max. humidity 20%).
The use of damp wood would cause the product and
the flue to get dirty, the risk of smoke and a lower yield
than that declared.Each type of wood has different
characteristics that also influence combustion yield.
The data outlined on this manual are with wood used
during certification.
In general wood can have a heat of combustion up to
4.5 kWh/kg while cut fresh it has heat of combustion
around 2 kWh/kg
In general, beech or elm is recommended, or however
class A1 wood according to UNI EN ISO 17225-5
Attention to prolonged use of wood with aromatic oils
(e.g. eucalyptus). Cast iron parts can deteriorate
Use the recommended quantities of wood:
Overloading causes overheating, resulting in damage:
• possible deformation of the inner parts;
• possible irreversible changes to the colour of the
paint on the metal parts
for which fabricant or the retailer cannot be held liable.
To respect the environment and safety, do NOT burn,
among other things: plastic, varnished wood, coal and
bark waste.
Do not use the coocker as an incinerator.
Use of these fuels also nullifies the guarantee.

ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE GRATE
ISTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The grate can be adjusted to allow for different levels of filling.
To adjust its height, turn the crank after fitting it into the topmost rectangular hole above the ash tray.
Turn it clockwise to raise the grate
Turn it counterclockwise to lower the grate.
The height of the grate suits it better to cooking or heating, as desired
HEATING CONFIGURATION
The range will maximise heating power when the grate is at its lowest position, while also allowing for cooking; on the
other hand, power to the oven is at its minimum in this configuration.
COOKING CONFIGURATION
The range will maximise cooking power to the top and the oven when the grate is at its highest position; heating power
is at its minimum in this configuration.
Part of the heating power is delivered to the system even in cooking mode; make sure you have provided for adequate
heat dissipation.

Using the cooktop
These instructions apply to both the glass and cast
iron models.
• Never allow the cooktop to glow with heat.
• Use heavy, flat-bottomed pots which cannot tip
over.
• You can remove the rings to place the pots directly
over the flames.
Instructions for the glass cooktop:
Glass can break when struck with force. Take care not
to drop cookware, cutlery or other objects onto the
cooktop.
Instructions for the cast iron cooktop:
the cooktop will normally take on a purplish colour
after use.
Using the oven
Always preheat the oven before putting food into it.
The temperature can be read off the thermometer on
the door.
Close the starter device when you are using the oven.
The lowest level of the oven is suited to cooking as
such (e.g. cakes, meat, etc.)
The middle level is suited to baking tarts and biscuits.
Use the top of the oven for reheating food or browning
it off.
Oven light
The lamp inside the oven allows you to check the
progress of cooking.
If you open the door, you will see the lamp switch in
the corner.
ISTRUCTIONS FOR USE
First ignition procedure
• Make sure you have read and understood this
manual
• Remove all flammable materials from the appliance
(manuals, labels, etc). Make sure to remove the
labels on the glass. They will irreparably damage
the glass if they melt.
To light the fire in the hearth, always use smaller pieces
of wood. Light the wood at the top of the heap. Use
larger pieces of wood to feed the fire once it has
started.
Always place the wood at the centre of the hearth.
You can use commercially available solid fire lighters
for starting the fire.
Place them at the centre of the hearth, where the
kindling is placed.
Light the fire and wait for the wood to start burning
well; this heats up the flue so that it draws well.
We recommend loading the fuel as described, even in
subsequent uses of the appliance.
Fully open the starter device (B).
Open the Primary air adjuster knob (A) halfway (turn
the knob clockwise)
Once the wood is burning properly, adjust the
combustion air to best effect and close the starter
device

MAINTENANCE
CLEANING BY THE USER
Always wait for the coocker to cool down completely
before cleaning it.
Cleaning out the ash
The coocker has a removable ash drawer
Empty it out before it is completely full.
Empty it out when the ash is completely cold.
Cleaning the outside of the product
Do not use aggressive detergents to clean the outside
of the coocker. Use alcohol - make sure not to use
materials which may start a fire.
Do not use cold water to clean the coocker when it is
hot; doing so can damage it.
Cleaning the oven
Only clean the oven when it is cold.
Use a cloth with lukewarm water and a non-abrasive
detergent. Do not use abrasive sponges or other
scratchy materials
It is best to clean the oven every time you use it.
it is easier to clean if there is no baked on dirt, and
this prevents cooking residue from burning the next
time the oven is used, which also releases unpleasant
odours.

MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the cast iron cooktop
After its first few uses, the cast iron cooktop takes on
a purplish hue.
During use, the cooktop may form rust stains or be
stained by food.
Clean it with a brush or abrasive pad in the direction
of its grain.
CLEANING THE FUMES SIDE OF THE
Coocker
We advise cleaning the coocker in this way when you
note problems with combustion.
If the coocker has been installed and used properly,
this needs to be done every two months or so.
Proceed as follows:
• remove the grille and fat tray from the oven;
• undo the bolts securing the fixed tray;
• remove the tray
• clean the area where the fumes circulate around
the wood oven with a vacuum cleaner.
Cleaning the door glass
Use specific products for cleaning the door glass (see
our Glasskamin price list).
Do not spray the product onto the painted areas or
onto the door gasket. As an alternative to a cleaning
product, you can use a cloth soaked with a bit of white
ash and some newspaper.
Take care that the ash has no solid parts which may
scratch the glass. The ceramic glass used on the
product can resist temperatures up to 750°C and is
tested and checked before and after installation for
cracks, bubbles and draughts.
However, despite its excellent temperature resistance,
the glass is fragile and we advise always handling the
door with care; do not slam it shut or force it. Doing so
may break it.
Cleaning the glass cooktop
Proceed as indicated above.
To remove encrustations due to cooking residue, use
teflon brushes or non-abrasive materials.

IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEMS
1) In case of smoke leaking from the
replace hearth, check if:
Installation is correct (smoke channel, chimney flue,
stack, air intake). The wood used is dry.the door was
opened too quickly
2) In the event of uncontrolled
combustion, check if:
The seals of the fireplace are intact:
The door of the fireplace is closed properly.
3) If the glass gets dirty quickly, check if:
The wood used is dry.
However, consider that after a few hours of work, it is
normal for a light layer of soot to form on the glass.
4) If a re starts in the ue or you need to
stop combustion in the hearth immediately:
• if you can do so safely, remove the ash and
embers with metal tools and containers, using the
fireproof glove
• contact emergency services if a fire starts
5) in case of over temperature.
Cocker stops air combustion.
If you cannot solve the problem, contact
the retailer or, in countries where present,
the authorised Technical Support Centre.
The guarantee is only valid if the product
defect is proven.
SPARE PARTS
For any spare parts, contact your reseller or technician.
Using non-original spare parts may damage the
appliance and relieves the producer of all liability for
damage resulting therefrom.
DISPOSAL
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product as
required by regulations.
Deliver to the special recycling centres.
SEASONAL CLEANING
Cleaning the ue system
To prevent the risk of fire, we advise cleaning the flue
before the season starts and whenever you note a
buildup of tar and soot.
Cleaning the coocker
Clean the appliance thoroughly, remove the cooktop
and replace its gasket. Contact your retailer for any
further information and for spare parts.
Instructions for the cast iron cooktop
At the end of the season, clean any stains off the
cooktop with an abrasive pad, working along its grain.
Finish by wiping off with a cloth and some olive oil.
This protects the cooktop against rusting during the
summer.
