1. Make sure the waffle maker is closed and plug it into a power outlet. The red and green lights will turn on indicating that
the waffle maker has begun pre-heating. Preheat the waffle maker by setting the temperature control to the maximum
setting. This will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes. The red power light will remain on until you unplug the waffle maker.
2. The green light will turn off when the waffle maker is ready for use.
3. Set the temperature control knob to your desired setting: low for light colored waffles and higher for darker and crisp
waffles. For your first waffle it is recommended that you set the temperature control knob in the middle and then adjust it
up or down according to your preference. Different waffle batters will also cook slightly differently.
4. Before baking the first waffle, use a pastry brush to lightly coat the top and bottom waffle grids with vegetable oil or lightly
spray the cooking grids with a non-stick cooking spray.
5. After coating the cooking grids pour the batter in to fill the lower cooking plate. If necessary, you may use a spatula to
spread the batter into the corners of the grid. Close the lid. The green light will go on to indicate the baking cycle has
begun.
6. Do not open the lid for at least 1 ½ minutes. Opening the lid too soon will cause under baked waffles to split which will
make them difficult to remove.
7. When the green light goes off, the waffles should be done based on the temperature control knob setting you have chosen.
If you want them darker you may close the lid and let the waffle bake longer until they reach the desired color.
8. Once the waffles are done, carefully remove them with a non-metallic utensil. Never touch the cooking surface with sharp,
pointy, or metallic objects or utensils. This could damage the non-stick surface.
. To cook more waffles, close the lid of the waffle maker and wait for the green light to turn off before opening the lid and
adding more batter.
10. Once you are finished cooking, close the lid, turn the temperature control knob to the lowest setting and unplug the power
supply cord from the outlet. You may then open the lid and allow the waffle maker to cool completely before moving it or
cleaning it.

HELPFUL HINTS
HELPFUL HINTSHELPFUL HINTS
HELPFUL HINTS
•Do not over mix batter or waffles will be tough. Stir batter only until large lumps of dry ingredients disappear.
•The optimal amount of batter to produce a full shaped waffle without overflowing will vary with different waffle batters.
Pouring batter from a measuring cup will help you gauge how much batter to use each time. Fill the bottom grid of the
waffle maker with enough batter to cover the peak areas of the grid – approximately ¾ to 1 cup.
•For more evenly shaped waffles, spread thick batters to the out edge using a heat proof rubber spatula or other non-
metallic utensil before closing the lid.
•To retain crispness, let the baked waffles cool on a wire rack to prevent steam from accumulating underneath.
•When serving several waffles at one time, keep the waffles hot and crisp by placing the wire rack in a preheated 200°F
oven until ready to serve.
•Already cooled waffles can be re-warmed and re-crisped, individually, by returning them to the hot waffle maker. Set the
temperature control knob to low and place the waffle on the bottom grid so the grooves line up. Close the lid and heat for 1
to 2 minutes, watching carefully so they do not burn.
•Baked waffles freeze well. Cool waffles completely on a wire rack. Store in a plastic freezer bag or in a covered container.
Separate the waffles with wax paper. Reheat frozen waffles in a toaster oven, oven, or toaster until hot and crisp.
