Lesen Sie sich alle Hinweise sorgfältig durch und bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung zum Nach-
schlagen gut auf.
Allgemeine Hinweise
• Benutzen Sie nur die mitgelieferten Ladegeräte.
• Beachten Sie die gesetzlichen Regelungen zur Benutzung von Mobiltelefonen und Zubehör im Auto.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Der GPS-Logger enthält Kleinteile, die
verschluckt werden könnten.

• Beachten Sie alle Hinweise zu elektronischen Geräten oder Geräten mit Radio-Empfang und schal-
ten Sie das Gerät aus, wenn Sie dazu aufgefordert werden.
• Das Gerät enthält einen Li-Polymer-Akku. Halten Sie ihn von o enem Feuer fern, andernfalls könn-
te er explodieren.
• Entsorgen Sie die eingebaute Batterie fachgerecht. Weitere Hinweise dazu  nden Sie im Kapitel
„Hinweise zur Entsorgung“.
Hinweise zur Benutzung
• Da die GPS-Satelliten dem amerikanischen Militär gehören, ist dieses verantwortlich für Genauig-
keit und Wartung. Jegliche Änderungen können den Empfang und die Genauigkeit des GPS-Signals
beein ussen.
• Falls Sie das Gerät in Gebäuden, im Tunnel oder zwischen hohen Objekten benutzen kann der
Empfang das GPS-Signal eingeschränkt oder unterbrochen sein. Hierbei handelt sich nicht um eine
Fehlfunktion.

Inbetriebnahme
Batterie einsetzen und auswechseln
• Önen Sie die Abdeckung an der Geräteunterseite.
• Setzen Sie die neue Batterie ein.
• Die Batterie ist auadbar und kann ausgetauscht werden.
• Im Dauerbetrieb hält der Akku etwa 13 Stunden.
Batterie auaden
Bevor Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal benutzen, laden Sie es 4 Stunden lang auf, um sicherzustellen,
dass der Akku komplett aufgeladen ist. Alle weiteren Ladevorgänge dauern etwa 2 Stunden. Stecken
Sie das Ladekabel zum Laden in ein entsprechendes Netzteil oder den Kfz-Adapter für den Zigaret-
tenanzünder. Während das Gerät lädt, leuchtet die rote LED-Leuchte. Sobald der Akku voll aufgela-
den ist, erlischt die rote LED.
Gerät an-/ausschalten
Bewegen Sie den Schieberegler an der Seite, um das Gerät an- oder auszuschalten.
GPS-Empfänger an PC/PDA/Smartphone anschließen
• Drücken Sie 1-2 Sekunden lang auf die An-Taste, um den Empfänger einzuschalten.
• Begeben Sie sich mit dem Empfänger ins Freie, damit er einen guten Signalempfang hat.
• Schalten Sie das Navigationsgerät (PC/PDA/Smartphone) ein. Önen Sie auf dem Navigationsge-
rät den Bluetooth-Manager und suchen Sie nach dem Empfänger. Falls Sie beim Verbindungsauf-
bau nach einem Passwort gefragt werden, geben Sie „0000“ ein.
• Verbinden Sie das Navigationsgerät mit dem Empfänger und versichern Sie sich, dass für die Bau-
drate im Anwendungsprogramm 38400 bps eingestellt sind.
• Starten Sie nun die mitgelieferte GPS-Software und laden Sie die entsprechenden Karten von
Orten, an denen Sie sich oft benden oder in die Sie reisen möchten. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie
in der Anwendung den COM-Anschluss eingestellt haben, den ihr Bluetooth-Gerät benutzt. Nun
können Sie das Programm benutzen. Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal benutzen, empfehlen wir
Ihnen zur Suche ins Freie zu gehen, um die Position sicher zu bestimmen und den GPS-Almanach
zu aktualisieren.
HINWEIS: Die deutsche Anleitung zur Benutzung der GPS-Software nden Sie auf der mitgeliefer-
ten CD im Ordner CanWay Software > CanWay Installer.
Hinweise zum Empfang
Falls Sie das Gerät in einem Auto mit getönten Scheiben benutzen, kann das GPS-Signal durch die
Tönung abgeschwächt oder blockiert werden. Es kann vorkommen, dass GPS-Satelliten aus be-
stimmten Gründen heruntergefahren werden. In diesem Fall kann die Position unter Umständen nicht
richtig bestimmt werden.
An folgenden Orten kann der Signalempfang eingeschränkt oder gestört sein:
Tunnel blockieren das GPS-Signal.

Zwischen Gebäuden kann das GPS-Signal eingeschränkt oder gestört sein.
Brücken und Überdachungen blockieren das GPS-Signal.
In Wäldern und unter Bäumen ist das GPS-Signal oft schwach oder gestört.
Gebäude blockieren das GPS-Signal.
Hinweise zur Entsorgung
Be ndet sich die linke Abbildung (durchgestrichene Mülltonne auf Rädern) auf dem
Produkt, gilt die Europäische Richtlinie 2002/96/EG. Diese Produkte dürfen nicht mit
dem normalen Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Informieren Sie sich über die örtlichen
Regelungen zur getrennten Sammlung elektrischer und elektronischer Gerätschaf-
ten. Richten Sie sich nach den örtlichen Regelungen und entsorgen Sie Altgeräte
nicht über den Hausmüll. Durch die regelkonforme Entsorgung der Altgeräte werden

Hints on Use
• Global position system (GPS) is obtained by American Ministry of National Defense, and they got
the full responsibility about the preciseness and the maintenance. Any changes may cause the
capacity and preciseness of GPS di ered.
• If you use this device inside of buildings, tunnels, or any huge objects beside you, the GPS signals
might be cut-o or disturbed. Please do not consider that the receiver is malfunction.

Getting Started
How to replace Lithium-ion Battery
• Open the bolt on the bottom cover and take the Li-ion battery out.
• Place new Li-ion battery.
• The Li-ion battery is replaceable and rechargeable.
• The Li-ion battery can last more than 13 hours in continuous operation mode.
Charging the battery
For the  rst use, the battery should be charged for about 4 hour to assure a full charge. Afterward, it
takes about 2 hours to fully re-charge. Plug the charging jack of car charger or AC adapter into power
jack and connect the charger properly to cigar-lighter or a main power outlet. When is in charging,
the Red LED will be lighted up. When the battery is fully charged, the Red LED will be turned o .

Connect to your PC/PDA/SMARTPHONE
• Push the power button for 1~2 seconds, power on the Bluetooth GPS receiver.
• Put the Bluetooth GPS receiver at proper place (open sky) for good GPS signal reception.
• Turn on the power of your navigation platform like PC/PDA/ SmartPhone etc.
• Search for Bluetooth device by your Bluetooth manager on your Host Platform (PC/PDA/Smartpho-
ne). Normally Pin code is not necessary. But some Bluetooth embedded system force to enter pin
code (password), please  ll 0000 in such case.
• Connect the Bluetooth GPS Receiver and then make sure baud rate set at 38400 bps (standard)
in your application program.
• Load your GPS mapping or routing software, along with the corresponding maps of the areas that
you are occupying or plan to travel. Start the application. Make sure the application is set for the
COM port that your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device will use for serial communication. Now you
should be ready to use your GPS application.
• In  rstly use of this Bluetooth GPS Receiver, we strongly recommend you to bring your Bluetooth
GPS receiver outdoor or open sky at least 15~20 minutes for sure 3D position  xed and almanac
updated.
NOTE: The GPS software and the corresponding manual can be found on the CD included in the fol-
lowing folder: CanWay Software > CanWay Installer.
Hints on GPS Signal
It is possible unable to receive GPS signal or signal low in these places:
• Inside the tunnel, GPS signal is blocked.
• Beside some buildings, GPS signal is low or disturbed.
• Covers above, GPS signal are blocked.
• Inside forests, or too many covers, GPS signal is low or disturbed.
• Inside buildings, GPS signal is blocked.
Disposal Considerations
According to the European waste regulation 2002/96/EC this symbol on the product
or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household was-
te. Instead it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correct-
ly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and
human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of
this product. For more detailled information about recycling of this product, please
contact your local council or your household waste disposial service.

Consignes générales
• Utiliser uniquement les appareils de charge fournis.
• Respecter les législations concernant l’utilisation des téléphones portables et des accessoires dans
une voiture.
• Veiller à ce que les enfants ne jouent pas avec l’appareil. Le récepteur GPS contient de petites pi-
èces susceptibles d’être avalées.

• Respecter toutes les consignes relatives aux appareils électroniques ou aux appareils avec récep-
tion radio et éteindre l’appareil lorsque cela est exigé.
• L’appareil contient une batterie Li-Polymère. La tenir à l’écart de tout feu pour éviter qu’elle
n’explose.
• Mettre la batterie intégrée au rebut de manière appropriée. Plus d’informations sont disponibles
dans la section « Information sur le recyclage ».
Consignes d’utilisation
• Comme les satellites GPS sont la propriété de l’armée américaine, celle-ci est responsable de leur
précision et de leur maintenance. Chaque modi cation peut avoir une in uence sur la réception et
la précision.
• En cas d’utilisation de l’appareil à l’intérieur d’un bâtiment, dans un tunnel ou entre des objets
élevés, la réception du signal GPS peut être a aibli ou interrompu. Il ne s’agit pourtant pas d’un
dysfonctionnement.

Fonctionnement
Insérer et remplacer la batterie
• Ouvrir le couvercle sur le dessous de l’appareil.
• Introduire la nouvelle batterie.
• La batterie est rechargeable et peut être remplacée.
• La durée de fonctionnement de la batterie est de 13 heures.
Charger la batterie
Avant d’utiliser l’appareil pour la première fois, le recharger pendant 4 heures pour s’assurer que la
batterie est complètement chargée. Toute recharge ultérieure dure environ 2 heures. Pour recharger,
brancher le câble de recharge au bloc d’alimentation adapté ou sur l’adaptateur allume-cigare de la
voiture. La LED rouge est allumée pendant la recharge. Lorsque la batterie est entièrement rechar-
gée, la LED rouge disparaît.
Allumer/éteindre l’appareil
Actionner le curseur sur le côté pour allumer ou éteindre l’appareil.
Brancher le récepteur GPS à un PC/PDA/smartphone
• Appuyer sur l’interrupteur marche/arrêt pendant 1-2 secondes pour allumer le récepteur.
• Se déplacer à l’extérieur avec le récepteur pour obtenir une bonne réception du signal.
• Allumer l’appareil de navigation (PC/PDA/Smartphone). Ouvrir le manager Bluetooth et rechercher
une réception. Si, pendant l’établissement de la connexion, un mot de passe est exigé, entrer «
0000 ».
• Connecter l’appareil de navigation au récepteur et s’assurer que le paramétrage est sur 38400 bps
pour la vitesse de transmission du logiciel utilisé.
• Démarrer à présent le logiciel GPS fourni, et charger les cartes de lieux où l’utilisateur se trou-
ve régulièrement où vers lequel il se déplace. S’assurer que la prise COM utilisée par l’appareil
Bluetooth a été correctement congurée. Il est à présent possible d’utiliser le logiciel. Lors de la
première utilisation de l’appareil, il est recommandé de l’utiliser en extérieur pour déterminer pré-
cisément la position et actualiser l’almanach GPS.
REMARQUE : l’utilisateur trouvera le mode d’emploi français pour l’utilisation du logiciel GPS dans le
CD fourni à la livraison dans le dossier CanWay > CanWay Installer.
Remarques sur la réception
Si le véhicule utilisé est équipé de vitres teintées, le signal GPS peut être aaibli ou bloqué par la
teinte. Il arrive que les satellites GPS s’éteignent pour une quelconque raison. Dans ce cas, il se peut
que la position ne puisse être déterminée exactement.
Les lieux suivants peuvent aaiblir ou perturber la réception du signal :
Les tunnels bloquent le signal GPS.

Le signal GPS peut être a aibli ou perturbé entre des bâtiments.
Les ponts et les toitures bloquent le signal GPS.
Le signal GPS est souvent faible ou perturbé dans les bois et sous les arbres.
Les bâtiments bloquent le signal GPS.
Information sur le recyclage
Vous trouverez sur le produit l’image ci-contre (une poubelle sur roues, barrée d‘une
croix), ce qui indique que le produit se trouve soumis à la directive européenne
2002/96/CE. Renseignez-vous sur les dispositions en vigueur dans votre région con-
cernant la collecte séparée des appareils électriques et électroniques. Respectez-les et
ne jetez pas les appareils usagés avec les ordures ménagères. La mise au rebut cor-
recte du produit usagé permet de préserver l’environnement et la santé. Le recyclage
des matériaux contribue à la préservation des ressources naturelles.
Ce produit contient des piles qui sont soumises à la directive européenne 2006/66/CE selon laquelle
elles ne doivent pas être éliminées avec les ordures ménagères. Renseignez-vous sur les dispositions
