Sicherheitshinweise
Lesen Sie sich alle Hinweise sorgfältig durch und bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung zum Nach-
schlagen gut auf.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Der GPS-Logger enthält Kleinteile, die
verschluckt werden könnten.
• Beachten Sie alle Hinweise zu elektronischen Geräten oder Geräten mit Radio-Empfang und schal-
ten Sie das Gerät aus, wenn Sie dazu aufgefordert werden.
• Das Gerät enthält einen Li-Polymer-Akku. Halten Sie ihn von oenem Feuer fern, andernfalls könn-
te er explodieren.
• Entsorgen Sie die eingebaute Batterie fachgerecht. Weitere Hinweise dazu nden Sie im Kapitel
„Hinweise zur Entsorgung“.
• Falls Sie das Gerät in Gebäuden, im Tunnel oder zwischen hohen Objekten benutzen, kann der
Empfang das GPS-Signal eingeschränkt oder unterbrochen sein. Hierbei handelt sich nicht um eine
Fehlfunktion.
• Die Betriebstemperatur des Geräts liegt zwischen -20°C und 60°C. Um die Lebensdauer des Akkus
zu verlängern, setzen Sie das Gerät nicht extremer Hitze oder direktem Sonnenlicht aus.

Inbetriebnahme
Batterie aufl aden
Bevor Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal benutzen, laden Sie es 4 Stunden lang auf, um sicherzustellen,
dass der Akku voll aufgeladen ist. Alle weiteren Ladevorgänge dauern etwa 2 Stunden. Stecken Sie
das Ladekabel zum Laden in ein entsprechendes Netzteil oder einen geeigneten Kfz-Adapter für den
Zigarettenanzünder. Während das Gerät lädt, leuchtet die gelbe LED-Leuchte. Sobald der Akku voll
aufgeladen ist, erlischt die gelbe LED.
Gerät an-/ausschalten
Bewegen Sie den Schieberegler an der Seite, um das Gerät an- oder auszuschalten.
PC-Verbindung und GPS-Software
• Stecken Sie das Gerät in den USB-Port Ihres Laptops.
• Installieren Sie den USB-Gerätetreiber, den Sie auf der beiliegenden CD unter dem Dateinamen
„GPS USB Dongle driver“  nden. Der Treiber kann auf Rechnern mit Windows 7, 8, XP oder Vista
installiert werden. Sobald Sie die Datei auswählen wird der Treiber automatisch installiert.
• Ermitteln Sie anschließend welcher COM-Port vom Gerät verwendet wird. Klicken Sie dazu mit der
rechten Maustaste auf den Computer (C:) und wählen Sie „Eigenschaften“. Klicken Sie dann auf
„Geräte-Manager“. Wenn Sie nun doppelt auf „Anschlüsse (COM und LPT)“ klicken werden Ihnen
alle COM-Anschlüsse angezeigt.

• Starten Sie nun die mitgelieferte GPS-Software und laden Sie die entsprechenden Karten von Orten,
an denen Sie sich oft be nden oder in die Sie reisen möchten. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie im Programm
den richtigen COM-Anschluss eingestellt haben. Nun können Sie das GPS-Programm benutzen.
• Das Gerät sucht automatisch nach GPS-Satelliten. Sobald drei Satelliten gefunden wurden wird
die aktuelle Position angezeigt. Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal benutzen, empfehlen wir Ih-
nen zur Suche ins Freie zu gehen, um die Position sicher zu bestimmen und den GPS-Almanach zu
aktualisieren.
HINWEIS: Die deutsche Anleitung zur Benutzung der GPS-Software  nden Sie auf der mitgeliefer-
ten CD im Ordner CanWay Software > CanWay Installer.
Hinweise zum Empfang
Falls Sie das Gerät in einem Auto mit getönten Scheiben benutzen, kann das GPS-Signal durch die
Tönung abgeschwächt oder blockiert werden. An folgenden Orten kann der Signalempfang ebenso
eingeschränkt oder gestört sein:
Brücken und Überdachungen
blockieren das GPS-Signal. Tunnel blockieren das GPS-Signal.
In Wäldern und unter Bäumen
ist das GPS-Signal oft schwach
oder gestört.
Zwischen Gebäuden kann das
GPS-Signal eingeschränkt oder ge-
stört sein.
Gebäude blockieren das GPS-
Signal.
Entsorgung und Konformitätserklärung
Be ndet sich die linke Abbildung (durchgestrichene Mülltonne auf Rädern) auf dem
Produkt, gilt die Europäische Richtlinie 2002/96/EG. Diese Produkte dürfen nicht mit
dem normalen Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Informieren Sie sich über die örtlichen
Regelungen zur getrennten Sammlung elektrischer und elektronischer Gerätschaf-
ten. Richten Sie sich nach den örtlichen Regelungen und entsorgen Sie Altgeräte
nicht über den Hausmüll. Durch die regelkonforme Entsorgung der Altgeräte werden
Umwelt und die Gesundheit ihrer Mitmenschen vor möglichen negativen Konsequen-
zen geschützt. Materialrecycling hilft, den Verbrauch von Rohsto en zu verringern.

General Instructions
• Do not allow children to play with the GPS receiver, it contains small parts that could become de-
tached and create a choking hazard.
• Observe all signs that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be switched o in the
designated areas.

• This device contains a Li-Polymer battery. Please keep it away from  re anytime (including discar-
ding the device) or the battery may explode.
• The embedded battery must be properly disposed or may be recycled, contacts your local recycling
centers for disposal methods.
Hints on Use
• Global position system (GPS) is obtained by American Ministry of National Defense, and they got
the full responsibility about the preciseness and the maintenance. Any changes may cause the
capacity and preciseness of GPS di ered.
• If you use this device inside of buildings, tunnels, or any huge objects beside you, the GPS signals
might be cut-o or disturbed. Please do not consider that the receiver is malfunction.
• The receiver operating temperature is located between – 20°C and + 60°C. For safety and lifetime
of Li-polymer battery usage, do not place this device over two hours with overheated environment.

Getting Started
Charging the battery
For the rst use, the battery should be charged for about 4 hour to assure a full charge. Afterward, it
takes about 2 hours to fully re-charge. Plug the charging jack of car charger or AC adapter into power
jack and connect the charger properly to cigar-lighter or a main power outlet. When is in charging,
the Yellow LED will be lighted up. When the battery is fully charged, the Yellow LED will be turned o.
Power ON/OFF
Slid power switch to ON/OFF the power.
PC Connection and GPS Software
• Plug USB connector into Laptop USB port (see picture).
• Install USB driver, users can nd the USB driver on the attached CD (le name: GPS USB Dongle
driver). The driver can be installed for Microsoft Windows 8,7, XP, Vista system.
• Turn on Laptop/UMPC, please identify which COM port has been used (occupied) by USB GPS Dong-
le. The ways how to check COM port has been used by GPS USB Dongle are as following: Double
clicks “Control panel (C:)“ > Double clicks “System” > Click “hardware” > Click “Hardware Manager”
> Double clicks “COM Port”, then you can nd which COM port has been occupied by the Dongle.
• Load your GPS mapping or routing software, along with the corresponding maps of the areas that
you are occupying or plan to travel. Start the application. Make sure the application is set for the
COM port that your Laptop/UMPC device will use for serial communication. Now you should be rea-
dy to use your GPS application as directed by the user documentation that came with the software.
More congurations may be necessary.
• eMap will search GPS satellites automatically, users’ current position will be showed in the eMap
after 3 satellites has been searched. In rstly use of this GPS USB Dongle, we strongly recommend
you to bring your GPS USB Dongle receiver outdoor or open sky at least 15~20 minutes for sure
3D position xed and almanac updated.
NOTE: The GPS software and the corresponding manual can be found on the CD included in the fol-
lowing folder: CanWay Software > CanWay Installer.

Hints on GPS Signal
If you use the USB GPS Receiver inside the car, some anti-sunlight windscreen  lm will make the GPS
signal degraded or signal blank. Sometimes GPS satellites are tuned-down by some reason. In such
cases, the GPS position may not  xed exactly. It is possible unable to receive GPS signal or signal
low in these places:
Inside the tunnel, GPS signal
is blocked.
Inside forests, or too many co-
vers, GPS signal is low or dis-
turbed.
Beside some buildings, GPS
signal is low or disturbed.
Inside buildings, GPS signal is
blocked.
Covers above, GPS signal
are blocked.
Hints on Disposal
According to the European waste regulation 2002/96/EC this symbol on the product
or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household was-
te. Instead it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correct-
ly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and

Consignes de sécurité
Lire attentivement toutes les consignes et conserver la notice d’utilisation pour la relire dès que né-
cessaire.
• Veiller à ne pas laisser les enfants jouer avec l’appareil. Le traceur GPS contient de petits éléments
pouvant être avalés.
• Respecter toutes les consignes concernant les appareils électroniques ou les appareils dotés d’une
réception radio. Eteindre l’appareil si c’est exigé.
• L’appareil contient une batterie Li-polymère. La tenir éloignée des feux ouverts, sinon elle pourrait
exploser.
• Jeter la batterie incluse comme il se doit. Vous trouverez d’autres informations à ce sujet dans le
chapitre « Recyclage »
• Si vous utilisez l’appareil dans des bâtiments, des tunnels ou entre deux hauts éléments, le signal
GPS peut être limité ou interrompu. Il ne s’agit pas d’un dysfonctionnement.
• La température de fonctionnement de l’appareil se situe entre -20°C et 60°C. Pour prolonger la
durée de vie de la batterie, ne pas exposer l’appareil à une chaleur extrême ou à la lumière directe
du soleil.

Mise en marche
Charger la batterie
Avant d’utiliser l’appareil pour la première fois, le charger pendant 4 heures pour s’assurer que la
batterie soit pleine. Les autres chargements dureront environ 2 heures. Pour charger, brancher le
câble à un bloc d’alimentation adapté ou un adaptateur d’allume-cigare. Pendant que l’appareil char-
ge, le voyant LED jaune s’allume. Dès que la batterie est chargée, la LED jaune s’éteint.
Allumer/éteindre l’appareil
Déplacer le curseur vers le côté pour allumer ou éteindre l’appareil.
Connexion PC et logiciel GPS
• Connecter l’appareil au port USB de l’ordinateur.
• Installer le pilote USB de l’appareil que vous trouverez sur le CD inclus sous le nom de « GPS USB
Dongle driver ». Le pilote peut être enregistré sur des ordinateurs fonctionnant sous Windows 7,
8, XP ou Vista. Dès que le  chier est sélectionné, le pilote s’installe automatiquement.
• Chercher ensuite quel port COM est utilisé par l’appareil. Cliquer alors avec la touche de droite
de la souris sur Computer (C:) et sélectionner « Propriétés ». Cliquer ensuite sur « gestionnaire
de périphériques ». En double-cliquant maintenant sur « Connexions (COM et LPT) », toutes les
connexions COM s’affi chent.

• Lancer alors le logiciel GPS inclus et télécharger les cartes correspondantes aux lieux où vous vous
trouvez souvent ou bien où vous voulez voyager. S’assurer d’avoir bien e ectuer la connexion COM
dans le programme. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser le programme GPS.
• L’appareil recherche automatiquement les satellites GPS. Dès que trois satellites sont trouvés, la
position actuelle s’affi che. Si vous utilisez l’appareil pour la première fois, nous vous conseillons
d’aller à l’extérieur pour la recherche de façon à déterminer la position de manière sûre et à actu-
aliser l’almanach GPS.
REMARQUE : La notice d’utilisation en allemand du logiciel GPS se trouve sur le CD inclus dans le dossier
CanWay Software > CanWay Installer.
Remarques concernant la réception
Si vous utilisez l’appareil dans une voiture aux vitres teintées, le signal GPS peut être a aibli ou blo-
qué. Dans les lieux suivants, la réception du signal peut aussi être limitée ou perturbée :

Recyclage et déclaration de conformité
