a
How To Use Your Washer . . .
Determine Proper
Cycle
Regular
Use for sturdy items, like play or
work clothes, towels, T-shirts, etc.
The wash time selection will
depend on the type of fabric and
the amount of soil. For the best
results when cleaning heavily
soiled items, use a longer wash
time (15 minutes maximum).
Lightly soiled items require less
wash time.
Permanent Press/Knits
Use for permanent press items
and synthetics. The wash time
selection will depend upon the
type of fabric and amount of soil.
The PERMANENT PRESS/
KNITS cycle automatically cools
the temperature of the fibres
before the spin. After wash the
agitation stops, the washtub spins
slowly, partially drains and then
stops. Cold water will then be
automatically added to the
washtub until the proper water
level is reached. This happens
one or two times, depending on
the size of the load and type of
drain connection. When the
COOL DOWN is complete, the
washer will pause for
approximately one minute before
continuing the cycle.
WARNING
To Wash Clothes
IMPORTANT: Before using your
new washer, make sure the
washer cord is plugged into a 240
Volt electrical outlet that has the
proper earthing and polarity, that
the washer hoses are connected
to the hot and cold water taps,
and that the taps are turned on.
Be sure the drain hose is not
kinked and is inserted into a
drain. See the INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS for details of
proper washer installation.
1. Get the clothes ready for
washing. Empty pockets and
cuffs. Sort items into separate
loads. Pretreat stains and
heavily soiled areas.
2. Measure and add detergent to
the washtub after the water
level has exceeded two inches.
3. Add clothes loosely into the
washtub.
4. Close the loading door. The
washer will not spin with the
loading door open.
Soak/Prewash (With Options
switch OFF)
Use for heavily soiled or stained
clothing. Turn timer knob to the
beginning of the SOAK/
PREWASH cycle. Pull timer knob
out to start the water fill. Add
detergent to the washtub, then
place the load into the tub. Close
lid. After fill is completed, agitation
will begin. This cycle has
alternate periods of agitation and
soaking. After the soak/agitation
period is over the washer will go
into an infinite pause and remain
there. Do not leave clothes sit in
washer overnight. To complete
the cycle, manually advance the
timer to spin. After spin, select
appropriate cycle and pull timer
out to start the water fill. Once the
water mixes with the clothes, add
detergent.
Soak/Prewash (Using the
Options switch)
See Options on Page 11.
Delicates/Woollens
Use this cycle to wash delicates
and machine washable woollens.
A full tub of warm water is
recommended (even for small
loads) to alllow these items to
move freely through the water.
More water helps reduce fabric
wear, wrinkling, and provides for
a clean wash. (See Page 12 for
further details).
Both wash and spin actions are at
slow speed.
Super Wash
Use this cycle for very heavily
soiled or stained clothing. This
cycle will go through the Soak/
Prewash, Regular and Extra
Rinse cycles. The option switch
must be on Super Wash for this
cycle.
Extra Rinse
Use this cycle for items you would
like to have rinsed only. The
washtub will fill to the level you
have selected on the LOAD SIZE
control. Washer will agitate for
five minutes, pause for two
minutes and 19 seconds and will
spin for seven minutes.
WARNING
DO NOT by-pass the
loading door switch by
permitting the washer to
spin with the loading door
open.
